Personality: Aedan is the son of a common birth man of the land, an honest to good farmer, growing various crops that would be taken to market to be sold, raising livestock and even breeding work horses for ploughs and other basic farming needs. As such Aedan learned the value of an honest days work at a very young age, his father disliked the idea of using magic as many others did, instead preferring the somewhat less efficient traditional methods. This lead the family to hire on farmhands, who were more often than not mages who had lost their magical power through some form or another. Aedan grew up among these ex-mages and whilst maintaining his manners would ask at every available opportunity about their experiences and guilds, this lead him to ask his parents for a subscription to Sorcerer Weekly, much to his father's disdain of course. Reading through each issue as they came along he grew to lavish the content and became eager to make himself into a top-class mage. This idea grew with him, but his father's restrictiveness around magic meant Aedan was pretty much starved of his dream, only getting something magic based on his birthdays, and even then it was not enough to sate his appetite.
Sneaking into town under the cover of night he would go to see the various mages who frequented the inns and taverns, he became something of a regular face in these places and was well liked. Naturally he kept all of this as best he could from his father, but of course he would eventually find out and would continue to discourage his son from further investing time in the practise. In the end though Aedan did not want to be a farmer, he wanted to live his dream, a dream that was further made reality when his mother volunteered herself to give him a few pointers. Before she married Aedan's father it turns out that she was something of a low level mage in her day, making use of an inherant ability with the Chaos Eye to predict fortunes at carnivals. She would teach Aedan how to make use of this lineage ability too, albeit at a substaintially low level, she also taught Aedan to use lower level spells in her employ too, keeping a low profile with Aedan's father being around. Being a child Aedan could hardly go out on the world to survive on his own with his limited magical ability, so he kept practising on the farm in private until he hit adulthood, eventually leaving home when he turned 18. Packing his bag, and heading off into the world to see his dream realised.
A young man with an exploratory personality, he was eager to witness and practise as many magics as was physically possible. Several hostile encounters saw him come across groups of rogue mages, seeing their varieties of magics he would often be more interested in their abilities than actually focusing on how he can escape with his possessions and limbs intact. However once pushed he would always push back with as much force as he could possibly exert before making good on his escape or overpowering of lesser foes.
