Waving goodbye to her old mentor, Anna, Sorano set off with her exceed companion, Hoshi, to the silent cemetery. Anna had called her former student over recently, telling the younger girl to try and end the curse on her old town. As Anna was busy cleansing the forest area of all the leftover death, she needed someone to check out the situation back in her old home. Of course, not knowing many people well enough, the blonde letter mage had chosen Sorano.
"So, I entrust you know what to do?" Anna asked, cocking an eyebrow at Sorano. She was actually quite worried about the girl, as Sorano had had a sort of mental breakdown a few years ago after her family's death, and Anna was forever worried about it.
"I'll be fine, Litbell-senpai! I can take care of myself now, I'm a C-rank already, and I helped you when I was still D ranked!" Sorano protested, frowning up at her friend and mentor.
"Oh, so that's how it is? Well, I leave it in your hands!" With a wave, the older mage sent them on their way, returning to her temporary cabin to work on her newest spells against the curse in the more forested parts.
Meanwhile, Sorano and Hoshi walked down the now worn dirt path to the abandoned city, ready to try and discover the cause of the curse. The two were well acquainted enough with the area after their last adventure here, in which Anna had been in a dire situation. However, all had turned out well, and now they were back, helping their old sensei again.
