    Job Description.:

    Previously:

Mashyuu stood in the guild hall of Sabertooth, Wizards moved around from the bar to the quest board and everywhere else. His hands rested on his hips while he scanned the board, nothing really appealed to him and in the back of his mind, Mashyuu knew that he needed to go see Sarah's home in Beanstalk village. Maybe there he could find some sort of clue as to what caused her to change and who was really behind her change...

His footsteps carried him to his room where he scooped up his mothers brown jacket and tossed it over his body and covered his white tee shirt. He changed his red tee shirt to a pair of brown boots and stuffed some extra clothes into a small back pack then headed out for Beanstalk Village.

It took about an hour for Mashyuu to get out of the desert village that Sabertooth rested in and already he could feel things moving around him, monsters always lurked around the area and threatened to attack the small village. Deep in the back of his mind, Mashyuu made a note to try to remedy that problem.

The sun started to set just a mile outside of Mashyuu's travels. Darkness overtook the land, casting a dim light over Mashyuu due to the soft moonlight glow. Without the ability for him to sense things on the ground and the glow of the moon Mashyuu would have been lost. He pressed on for about five hours after the sun had set before he made camp for the night...

The rays of the warm sun crept up over the horizon, it's bright light hit mashyuu's eyelids sharply and his eyes weakly fluttered open. His left hand rubbed both real and sleep induced sand from his eyes. Mashyuu sat up and cracked his neck, his hair already in a perfect shape of spikes rested on his head.

Long ago Mashyuu had learned how to live off the land and it only took him a few minutes to find food and eat a decent breakfast and soon after he was on his way again. He followed a river for a long while. The water flowed down towards other towns and villages.

Surprisingly Mashyuu hadn't come into any problems or travelers as he passed through Magnolia. He skimmed the towns boarder and continued on by noon that day. The sounds of men and women behind the town walls lifted Mashyuu's spirits and at least for a time took his mind off of the fact that he was going to see if any of Sarah's family were still alive or if they knew what had happened to her.

...Who was that guy? How did he know who I was? Did he leave Sarah to die? If he could have gotten away then Sarah should have just gone with him?... If I ever see that man again I'm going to rip his throat out. Mashyuu thought to himself. By the time he snapped back into reality the sun had set again and off in the distance Mashyuu could see Beanstalk Village, seemingly surrounded by light. Mashyuu would be there after breakfast the next day.

Mashyuu stepped into Beanstalk Village, his hands ran over his face. Already he could feel light, prickly hairs on his face and it almost bothered the man. As he entered the large farming town, Mashyuu was surprised to see that there were very few men and women tending to the fields. The last time he was in the village the people were early to bed and early to rise and work. His brown brows furrowed with confusion as he glanced around. It seemed like, at least to him, that the crops were all looking and pointing at him.

The blue eyed man glanced at all the plants and he got an uneasy feeling, as if the plants were reacting to him in a terrible way. He shook his head and walked around the area of the village. Sarah's old home was nestled in the back of town.

Each of the farming homes were made of strong wood, not oak but something similar to it. The roofs of the houses all tilted up at an angle and were lined with a classic sort of thatched roof. Men started to creep out of their homes and watch Mashyuu as he wandered to the edge of town and walked up to a thin door. His hand rapped against the wood firmly a few times and he listened carefully...

From the other side of the door there was no sound. Mashyuu waited for a few moments and frowned, there was nothing. His hand reached down for the door knob and twisted it before he pushed it open. Mashyuu stepped into the dusty home and softly closed the door behind him. The only light in the room crept in through windows that had been covered in dust. It was clear to Mashyuu that there hadn't been anyone here in quite some time.

Mashyuu's shoulders slumped while he took in the room. He stood in a short hall that reached out into the living room. On the right hand side of the room was a fire place and two rocking chairs rested a few feet away from the fire place. A small table rested in each corner of the room and in the center of it was a table and long couch.

He stepped into the living room, memories of his past flooded into his mind. He had played in the house as a kid a lot and spent tons of time in the house between his travels. Mashyuu stopped at the table and picked up a small figurine that he had carved out of shale stone for Sarah roughly five years ago. Mashyuu started to smile when the shrill sound of a woman screaming caught his attention.

Mashyuu placed the figure on the table and rushed out of the farmhouse to see what had happened...

Mashyuu was stunned as men and women of Beanstalk Village ran frantically from a small group of crops. Behind them were five humanoid and large sized groups of corn. The strange corn monsters were jumping through the air and slamming down on some people and other stalks of corn were spewing pieces of corn at others, knocking them off their feet and seemingly killing villagers.

Seemingly perfect brown hair swayed in the wind and Mashyuu's mouth dropped. For the first time in a few days Mashyuu spoke. "What the hell am I looking at?...." He asked while he stepped off of the porch and raised his hand, aiming at corn monsters that had leap't off the corn field and started to rush him.

Mashyuu took aim as the corn rushed him, all five seemingly wanted to slam into him and had lined up in perfect position. Three rushed forward while the other two came in close behind. Mashyuu lifted his palm and felt the ground rumble softly under him. He could feel his heart jump with magical energy before the ground rushed up and forward at the Corn monsters.

"Stone Blast!" He called out and the ground under him shot forward and pelted the Corn monsters. Each of the corn husks stumbled back but the two in the back managed to fire off some strange corn attacks. Luckily Mashyuu managed to duck the attacks by the hair of his neck, if it wasn't for the fact that he had just stepped off the porch he would have been struck. Mashyuu looked back at the door that had been pelted and his blue eyes widened with concern. If they would have all attacked, Mashyuu would have likely been hit and knocked off his feet.

Corn creatures jumped up over their allies and wore sly grins on their faces. One corn cob missed Mashyuu as he managed to stumble to the left, narrowly avoiding the beast as it came crashing down into the dirt. A plume of the dust rose from the ground while the Corn monster groaned in pain from smashing it's own face into the ground.

Mashyuu just rolled to the left when a shadow came over him, he managed to look up but it was too late. The second Corn monster was upon him and so close that there was no way he could possibly move. He placed his hands up over his head and felt the hard kernels of Corn slam down into his body, grinding against his flesh and bone. The monsters great weight dropped Mashyuu down to his knee, before he managed to slip out from under the monster. "Bahahaha can't handle my stylish attacks?" It mocked the Earth Wizard as he stumbled to his feet.

With an angry scowl Mashyuu pulled up a staff from the ground while at the same time taking a few steps back."Earth Staff!" He called out. Then with a flick of his wrists Mashyuu jabbed at the corn monster that had crashed into him, driving the blunt weapon into the Corn, cracking some it it's kernels and knocking even more of them out of the Demon.

Before the monsters had a chance to try to mount a counter attack, Mashyuu placed himself between the two that had attempted the heavy attacks. His staff jabbed out, ripping right through one of the monsters, dropping it down in a pile of corn pieces. Mashyuu took a single step back and threw his weight behind him with the staff, placing it inside the corn monsters mouth before it had the chance to ever launch it's attack.

He turned to face the other three demons but was surprised to see that the farmers had attacked the Corn monsters with their farming equipment and while they didn't seem to be doing much to the monsters, if anything at all... They were keeping the monsters at bay and doing a great job at stopping the Demon Corn cobs from attacking Mashyuu.

Mashyuu took a few labored breaths of air then rushed forward, he twirled around to the left of one of the farmers and felt the ground rumble under him. Slowly he started to summon up the ground around him, thinking about calling up some earth armor. He stopped however, thinking the Corn Monster would be able to rip through the sand armor.

"Corn Corn Cannon!" A gravely voice called out from behind Mashyuu and the farmers as a stream of corn kernels jutted from the Corn Demon that Mashyuu had thought he beat. One farmer at Mashyuu's side went down, his eyes whited out from pain. Mashyuu flourished his weapon until he held it like a spear then tossed it has hard as he could. The staff struck the corn monster, ripping through its effective flesh and causing it to crumble under Mashyuu's strength.

Now without a weapon Mashyuu decided it best to keep his defense up. The ground around Mashyuu rumbled softly as the beaten path he stood on rolled around him and ran up his body. A sand like substance rolled over his skin and moved with a grit that helped absorb and disperse impacts from solid blows. "Sand Skin..." He muttered under his breath while a Corn monster shot it's cannon at Mashyuu. Luckily his armor managed to absorb most the damage and kept him from falling down. Still a small trickle of blood seeped from his face but was soon washed away in the sand that ran over his body.

Using the ground under him, Mashyuu traveled at a break neck speed and attempted to slam his body into a husk of Corn but it managed to strangely hobble away from the attack and Mashyuu came up just short. "You have to be kidding me!" He cursed at himself while trying to line up an attack.

Mashyuu could feel his magic starting to deplete in his body but he had to keep helping these farmers who had been fighting off the attacking Corn Demons. For some strange reason he felt like the monsters attacking was his fault. He took a deep breath of air and slid back on his earth skate, an ability he could use in unison with his armor. The monsters were lined up perfectly for his attack to hit all three. "Everyone step back!" He called out as his palm extended once again.

"Stone Blast!" Mashyuu shouted as magic welled up in his body and a high pressure attack hit the foes in front of him, pelting each Corn Demon with a mix of sharp and blunt rocks. The Corn monsters howled in pain while drawing their attention on Mashyuu.

The earth Wizard recoiled a step and half smiled from worry. "This might have been a bad idea..." He said aloud while referring to hitting the Demons with his stone blast. Just as the monsters turned however, the farmers had a good opening and three of them managed to hit one of the Corn Demons with their hoes, digging into the rear monsters flesh and nearly splitting it in half. It hung almost lifeless while crying out in pain and trying to flee from a cleaving strike.

It was surprising to Mashyuu to see the farmers rally against the things trying to attack them and even more surprising to see that they managed to chop at the one in the rear again and bring it down. His blue eyes went wide with wonder before he reached down and pulled up another staff of stone.

"I'm going to finish these off! Get to your homes and wait for the all clear, drag your friend away!" He ordered the farmers, who responded by doing as he said. Mashyuu then held his Staff like a long baseball bat and swung for the fences, the strike hit home, crumpling one of the Demons under the staffs weight and caused it to explode in a hail of uncooked corn.

Mashyuu smirked at his handy work while the last remaining Corn Demon looked at Mashyuu with intensity in it's crazed eyes. Between the two of them Mashyuu was sure he could take anything that the monster could throw at him. At least that was until it spewed corn from it's mouth. It hit and hard. Even with the armor on, Mashyuu knew it would leave a mark. He ducked and barely managed to avoid the attack but what did clip him was enough to drop Mashyuu's armor off his body.

It didn't take any reaction time at all for Mashyuu to sprint with his staff out like a lance and run it straight through the clumsy corn, shattering the monster in a puff. Never before had Mashyuu used up so much energy during a fight and he fell to his knees while taking labored breath. Sweat rolled off his face and arms and for a moment he thought he was going to pass out. However the sound of clapping caught his attention as the farmers and women who were to afraid to attack cheered for Mashyuu and the four men who fought hard to protect their village.

Mashyuu was brought inside a long farm house, the building was narrow but made to hold many people. It was likely where the town gathered for important meetings. Long wooden benches rested in the center of the room and flanked a table that had been painted white a while back. Mashyuu took a seat at the end of a bench and waited. He could feel his magical power slowly returning and his wound had started to close up.

After waiting for about fifteen minutes three of the four men who helped him had entered the hall and behind them was an elderly man with a long grey beard. This old man slowly walked up to Mashyuu and extended his wrinkled hand. "Thank you for helping our village young man. May we ask a favor of you?" Mashyuu shook the mans hand nodded up and down, willing to hear out the elder.

"A few days ago our crops stopped growing and instead sealed themselves off from us. We thought we were going to starve until today. Today you came to our village and the crops responded. Now they are all lighting up but as you can see. They have also spewed out some sort of monster! If it's your magic they are responding to we would like you to stay a few days and try to eliminate the bad crops. Will you help us?" The Elder asked.

"Of course I will. It's the least I can do after your men here helped me." Mashyuu nodded to the three men and smiled warmly. In response one man stepped forward and spoke clearly. "We are the protectors of the village, we are the best fighters in the area but we aren't nearly as strong as you are. Thank you for helping us!" Mashyuu again smiled and nodded his head as if to say "Your welcome".

That night the farmers and Mashyuu had dinner and allowed Mashyuu a place to rest for the night so he could see what he could do in the morning...

Mashyuu pulled himself out of bed and for the first time in days had the chance to brush his teeth, shower and have a home cooked meal. The young man was happy beyond belief to be able to enjoy hot food again. After the meal Mashyuu and the three village protectors started to patrol the farms. While not completely healed up, Mashyuu felt almost as good as new and magic coursed through his body like water through a river.

For a while all seemed to be fine. It was strange to Mashyuu that something could react to his magic power one day then seemingly not at all the next. I wonder if this has something to do with the man in black? Mashyuu thought to himself while taking off his mothers brown jacket and wrapping it around his waist. The sun beat down extra hard today and the rays of light hurt Mashyuu's eyes to no end.

While lost in thought Mashyuu hadn't noticed the three men stop behind him, or the fact that two different fields of crops were aimed at him and moving in strange ways. They started to sprout and spit something up out of the ground. One man taped Mashyuu on the shoulder with the back of his hoe and pointed. This snapped Mashyuu out of his thoughts and caused him to become very aware of what was happening.

"Get ready guys." He ordered while spreading his feet on the dirt path the four stood on. Mashyuu raised both hands and cast a spell. The earth around him started to sprout up and surround the group as his spell neared completion.

Mashyuu gulped when the ten Corn Cob monsters started to stroll down the farmlands. "We might be in some serious trouble..." Mashyuu gulped and started to look around. He needed to find a way to get the monsters weakened in order to fight up close. "Stay close and wait for the fog to settle before we attack. This is the best chance we have at weakening the enemy!" Mashyuu commanded.

The ground under the group came up and started to swirl around the men. Mashyuu's eyes darted from side to side as a corn spew shot at them and missed narrowly. Mashyuu swallowed hard and held his breath. He could hear something run into the dust then get pelted with stones.

He wasn't sure how many had been hit at first but as they drew closer he could sense that all ten had entered the field and that two had been struck. "Were surrounded!" Mashyuu commented while swallowing the dry air. He could hear the beasts laughing in the sandstorm and even worse he knew that the sand wasn't doing much to harm them. In fact they were likely going to wait until the fog cleared and launch their strikes. Sadly they didn't count on Mashyuu being able to sense them in the ground. Already he could feel out three of them on his left and was preparing to fire a second spell.

Mashyuu: A Wizards Grace! Empty Re: Mashyuu: A Wizards Grace!

Mashyuu felt the monsters slowly surge forward in the dirt road and he focused on the tremors in the ground. His left hand extended and his fingers flexed hard. This was a dangerous game he was playing but with any luck Mashyuu would be able to do some damage to the monsters without having to spend to much energy. "Stone Blast!" he called out and sprayed three of the monsters with a mist of earth at the same time they were struck with a stone from the sand storm.

"Duck!" He shouted while moving down. The trio behind Mashyuu dropped down in time to see a slowed spew of corn arch over the four men and strike on opposite sides of each other. In the ground Mashyuu could feel three beasts hit the ground. Already he could feel his heart slow it's race. The tactic worked but he doubted it would work that well a second time. The movements stopped and he knew that the trick was a one time deal.

"The moment the mist drops charge one and take it down. I'll try to hold the others." Mashyuu suggested and felt the spell he was holding start to weaken, the fog wouldn't last much longer and that gave him pause. Swiftly he unwrapped his jacket from his waist and balled it up. As long as he could keep the beasts distracted he could take them down with little to no effort.

"When is this going to drop?" One of the men asked while coming back to a stand. His legs were parted and braced in the ground, digging in so that he could run as fast as he could in any direction he needed to. The other two farmers also stood up but were partially cowering from what had been happening, without the sense of sight on their side they felt that they would be over run in no time at all. Mashyuu felt the same in a way, but knew that if things kept going this well that the men would come out on top. They were barely outnumbered at this point. Still it was almost two to one. So Mashyuu would have to take up the role of two men in order to keep the others safe....

"Oh screw the waiting. Charge!" Mashyuu commanded and let the spell drop, as it did he rushed forward and scooped up a staff from the ground. "Stone Staff!" With almost little warning he stabbed the staff into the face of one of the Corn Demons, it's blunt end dug deeply into the monsters eye but Mashyuu had focused extra magical energy into his hands, increasing the strength of his strike just slightly, trying to kill the monster on one shot. The attack didn't make one fall but it helped Mashyuu get the advantage on the combat. In fact, the dropping of the storm and rush had caused the Corn demons to become stunned in surprise at least for a moment. The farmers all turned on their heels and dug their hoes straight into a demon that was breathing down their necks, nearly ripping it in an awkward half.

One by one the Farmers ripped their hoes out of the Corn Demon Husk and surrounded the monster who was trying to recover from the sudden attack. It reeled in pain and vomited creamed corn while glaring at it's attackers. But before it had the chance to retaliate the Farmers struck once again, cleaving it in a jagged half. One Farmer kicked it hard, causing one half to roll down a dirt road until it rested along side a set of wooden steps.

Mashyuu on the other hand slammed his staff hard into the faceish area of the same Corn monster he had struck before, killing it on blunt impact. The Corn sputtered backwards but fell in time for a different husk of Corn to slam hard into Mashyuu. Mashyuu stumbled backwards and nearly fell, if not for his staff he would have hit the ground hard. He could feel his ribs bruise under his white tee and looked around at how many were left.

I don't know if I can take five of these alone, I don't know if the four of us can keep taking five of them.... Ah hell. Mashyuu thought as he pulled himself up to his feet. He clutched his staff and glanced down at it. "I'm going to figure out how to make this a hammer one day." He muttered to himself then charged a husk of corn.

The two traded blows, narrowly missing each other a few times until Mashyuu took a half step back, slid around on his left foot and jabbed the Corn Demon in what he would consider a below the belt area. The Husk started to spew corn but stopped short as the Farmers attacked it too, covering Mashyuu and saving him from a surely terrible blow.

The save however came at a cost as one of the other Corn Husks shot a volley of Corn Corn Cannon fire at the Farmers and struck one in the back of the head, knocking him out and dwindling the numbers of the farms protectors.

Mashyuu could feel desperation set in, the last thing he wanted was to see his allies get hurt any worse than they had. With a bit of hesitation he drew a deep breath and called out to them. "RUN!" His staff slammed into another Corn Monster that was close by and nearly cracked on impact. The Corn husk retaliated by leaping into the air and dropping down on Mashyuu. However the attack was a bad idea, it impaled itself on Mashyuu's staff, breaking the weapon and it's self as it came down, cracking loudly.

The suddenly shattered monster gave Mashyuu space to move and line up his next shot as two of the remaining husks tried to make a break for the Farmers how were trying to carry their friend off. "Not so fast! Stone Blast!" His hand came up and a second high powered jet of rock erupted outward and hit the remaining husks. The husks cried out in annoyed pain and all turned to Mashyuu, who waved at the beasts, pleased with himself for his actions.

The monsters all rushed forward, each one slamming into Mashyuu, and by the time the third hit him, the brown haired Wizard was off his feet and on the ground, almost struggling to pull himself up.

White stars started to swim around Mashyuu's head, the jacket of his mother in one hand, the ground in the other. He could see his life flashing before his eyes again. He could taste bile rising up from his stomach into his throat. Really, you're about to let corn kill you? God you should have just let those bandits run you through with a sword, then your mom would still be alive. He thought to himself for a moment. The terrible idea caused his arms to tremble...

Mashyuu swallowed his pride and pulled himself up to his feet and in the same motion tossed his jacket into the face of the head Corn Husk, saving himself. It had inhaled to fire a volley at him but turned in it's struggle to get free without hands and shot it's ally, killing it. "Not yet.... I'm not going down yet! Sand Skin!" Mashyuu summoned up so much magic energy that he felt like he would die. Sand whipped up around his body and jetted him back at a quickened pace, causing him to gain distance and avoid the corn spew of the second monster.

Mashyuu was taking labored breaths, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to keep up the pace he had been going but as he looked over, past the corn he saw his friends had managed to get into a barn and that thought had made him smile softly. At least he had managed to buy time for the farmers to escape what would be certain death.

Post by redheadedstepchild 22nd October 2015, 5:13 pm

Things were getting dire and Mashyuu could feel his body quaking with pain. As much as blood was pumping through him, there was an equal amount spilling from small wounds that had been left across his body. The Corn Demons that were left standing glared at Mashyuu, their bodies waddled in a strange, hopping manner towards him. Mashyuu in return ran the back of his arm over his forehead, removing a sheet of sweat from his face. His left arm dropped down and summoned up a staff of stone from the ground with the magic energy that had just been restored to his body.

The new staff gleamed in the morning sunlight, it's smooth stone reflected light at the Corn Demons. His knees bent slightly and the ground rumbled under his feet as the sand rolled along his boots and jetted him forward. His hands whirled the staff around in a wide arch, two swift swings crashed the staff against Corn, breaking them in half on impact. The staff, while sturdy spiderwebed on impact with the second Corn Demon. The eyes in the monsters went white as the two shambled towards Mashyuu before falling apart, covering Mashyuu in Corn Husks...

...Mashyuu awoke, wrapped in bandages and laying next to the two Farmers who had been taken down during the previous fights. A large fan whirled over head, it's soft hum drew his attention for a long while. A soft groan pulled his attention to the left where one of the Farmers was laying. His body had been wrapped tightly in bandages and held tight to a bed. Even in sleep, the Farmer was in great pain.

Slowly Mashyuu pulled himself out of bed and stepped gingerly into a small living room where a fireplace had been lit and a woman was preparing a meal. While she wasn't an amazing looking woman she had a certain "southern" beauty to her. "What happened?" Mashyuu asked and the woman jumped with a startle. Slowly she turned around and offered him a smile. "...Well, my husband is one of the Village protectors. You had told him to run today and after you finished the Corn monsters he came back to drag you here. He's currently out now, getting clean bandages. You should be feeling better by morning..."

The sun had set by the time the farmer had returned to his quaint log home. The Farmer had been the one that was leading the four when they first helped Mashyuu. His blue suspender pants were stained brown from years of wearing them while he worked. The bottoms had been frayed and he wore a simple white shirt with no sleeves under his suspenders. His jaw was strong but his eyes were soft. A straw hat rested on his balding head.

He pulled up a chair and handed Mashyuu a box of bandages and a few ointments. "Names Jacob, I know we really haven't said much. What with the fighting off Demon Corn and all. But we are glad that you are staying to help us. Yer that Sarah girls Old Flame aren't yah?" He asked while using his thumb to nod in the direction of Sarah's old home.

Mashyuu looked sad as he nodded up and down. "Yeah, I just learned that she passed away. I came to see her family, but it looks like her home hasn't been used in years. She kept a figurine I made for her.... It's sitting on her living room table. Once this is over I'm going to take it if it's all right with you." Mashyuu explained. Farmer Jacob nodded his head up and down and shrugged his shoulders at the same time. "Don't see why that would be an issue. Have at it boy."...

...The following day Mashyuu and Jacob along with the last standing Farmer the bandages and ointments had helped Mashyuu recover a great deal but there was still a hobble in his step. Today he decided against wearing his mothers jacket, afraid that it might be damaged. If things went the way they did yesterday then Mashyuu might end up dead as it was....

The trio walked for the majority of the day. Mashyuu had started to give up on finding the source of the monsters and was surprised to see that the monsters had not even bothered sprouting up for the day. The sun was starting to set, it's normally bright light had dimmed to a low burnt orange and was casting a dim shadow over the village. Almost feeling defeated, the trio of men started off towards Jacob's home when they heard a strange, almost gravely voice behind them. "Hey, you guys the ones that killed fifteen of our brothers?" Mashyuu turned on the balls of his feet and scowled. Behind the corn was a field of small crops while behind Mashyuu was a flight of stairs and farmers atop them.

"Only five huh? To be honest it was really just me. I ate your brothers for a snack. If you guys-" One of the five Corn Demons had heard enough and fired a blast of Corn at Mashyuu, hitting him in the chest and sending him tripping over the flight of stairs to land on one with a thud. Mashyuu held his chest for a long moment and waited for the others to move into an attacking position. "Stone Blast!" He cried out and fired his wave of stones at the group, The Corn monster that had fired at Mashyuu had managed to avoid the stream of rocks but his four brothers hadn't been so lucky. The rocks ripped through their corn bodies like butter, doing a good deal of damage to them.

Without hesitating Jacob and the Farmer lunged from the steps and hacked at the lead Corn monster, ripping through it's green husk. "NOOO Not my jacket!" It cried out as hoes dug through the monsters torso.

The Corn Demon's had been stunned by Mashyuu and the Farmer's joint attacks. The three had one on the ropes and while normally Mashyuu would not want to focus on one target at a time but if the three could assault the same target and link their attacks, Mashyuu felt that they could easily take out the five. Mashyuu pulled himself up off the stairs and rushed the Corn monster that was being attacked by the Farmers, his hand scraped along the ground and earth was pulled up from the ground into the form of a long staff.

Mashyuu spun about while tensing his arms as hard as he could. One hand gripped the bottom end of the staff while the other held the center firmly. With a resounding THWACK! Mashyuu slammed his staff into the bottom half of the Corn monsters body while letting his momentum carry him away towards three more. As if they could read Mashyuu's mind, the Farmers moved away from the Corn they had attacked.

The Corn Demon that had struck Mashyuu with it's corn corn cannon had rushed Mashyuu but missed and struck his ally instead, causing him to explode in a flurry of kernels. The other three monsters tried to swat at Mashyuu as he sped towards them. The monster to take the first attack was hit hard by the two Farmers and Mashyuu managed to dance around one monster only to slip right into another who struck him hard in the face.
