Steal Da Recipe (Solo Mission)

Sol yawned as he headed towards the clients house for the job he had taken, he had yet to actually do a job for his guild so he thought this would be a good warm up nothing to hard and not a whole lot of danger to it. He glanced around Peace Village and snorted, it was far to peaceful here but alas he would get the chance to spread chaos another day. He quickly headed into the resturant of the client. “Excuse me I’m looking for Chef William Dorvald” he said to the person at the counter, “Ah are you the mage I hired for the job?” a man said as he stepped out from the kitchen. He was dressed in the standard white chefs coat and had a chefs hat on.

“Yeah that’s me I’m Sol from Basilisks Fang what do you need done?” Sol asked as he crossed his arms. Chef William became serious and motioned for him to lean closer.” There is a rival of mine chef Devitt he has a fudge recipe that is to die for but he keeps it Hidden, I want the recipe and he will be out of town for the week all you need to do it get it and you can walk away with the money and we never talk about this again” William said before Sol got a grin on his face and nodded.”Alright Will you have yourself a deal that Fudge is as good as yours” he state as he offered his hand and the chef shook it.

Exiting the building and heading towards the direction of the fudge shop after getting directions from William, Sol moved thru the village with his hands in his coat pockets walking casually so he didn’t draw any attention to himself. After a few moments of walking he spotted the shop and grinned widely judging from the size it wouldn’t take him very long at all to find the recipe and escape without being noticed. The maroon haired mage glanced up at the sky then around him and saw that people were still out and about so it would make it harder but the sun was moving down so it wouldn’t be that difficult soon,

The dark mage lingered around the area but stayed far enough away from the building to avoid drawing some attention to himself and he quickly settled down into a nearby tree to take a small nap while he waited for sundown

The sun in his eyes woke Sol as he yawned and saw that the light was started to fade and descend, he hopped out of the tree and landed fluidly on the ground before standing up and stretching a bit. he glanced around to make sure no one was around before he moved towards the building, he grabbed the knob and tried to turn it before finding it to be locked as he expected “Shit now I have to do this the hard way” Sol mumbled before he glanced around and found a decent sized rock about the size of his fist laying near the path and he tossed it in the air a few times before he brought it down on the door knob with all his might.

The knob broke easily and the dark mage grinned as he gave the door a good hard push and it swung open easily. The man stepped inside and instantly he could smell sugar and chocolate even though the owner was gone for the week. Sol shook his head he only had 5 hours before the man would be back and he would lose the reward.”Time to find that Recipe” Sol muttered as he tightened his grip on the rock and started to look around the shop.

Glancing around Sol didn’t see anyplace that the recipe card could be at but from the looks of the shop from the outside it had at least two levels which made him think that the owner Devitt lived above the shop, He perked up when he heard voiced approaching the building and he quickly ran up the stairs and into a closet before he listened intently at what was going on. “Huh thought I heard someone in here I guess the vandals got spooked off” the villager said as Sol grinned viciously from his spot in the storage space. After hearing the footsteps get faint the mage walked out into the hall way and headed for the bedroom hoping that was where it would be.

He entered the room and saw that there was a wooden case with a lock on it, Sol grinned and he brought the rock down on the lock and broke it before lifting the case up and finding a single recipe card inside. A quick glance told him that this was the object he needed and he quickly placed it into his coat pocket for safe keeping. Now he needed to escape without getting busted.

Sol heard more footsteps heading towards the building and he quickly glanced around and out the window, one of the villagers got into the house.”the vandel still has to be here I heard another noise” they said as Sol quickly sprang into action and opened the window as fast as he could, he quickly lept out the window and hit the ground in a roll to lessen the impact of the fall. the Dark mage quickly threw the stone in his hand at another window to draw attention away from him as he quickly ducked behind some shrubs and watched as a group three male villagers headed in the opposite direction of him.

After a few moments the dark mage left his hiding spot and headed back to Chef Williams restaurant and saw him waiting for him”Did you get it” he asked before Sol grinned and pulled the recipe card out and passed it to him. “no problem didn’t even get caught though I did have to break the door a bit now I’ll take my money and we won’t speak anymore of this” he said as Will smirked and nodded before tossing him a bag of Jewels “Thanks again” he stated as Sol caught the bag and walked away waving behind him as he did.
