Job Description:
You've been contracted to take down an extremely dangerous man.
The city guard has no information on him, and no one has come back alive.
They have reason to believe he's hidden away in a very elaborate tunnel system under the village.
Get to it!
Enemies:
Weak:Hypnosis
Upon receiving a weak enemy, your character falls asleep immediately. Weak rolls take priority over all others, and are the main drive of the job. Your character will remain asleep until the first boss fight is over.
Normal:Strange Apparition
If you're not asleep, this roll counts as a weak roll. If you are already asleep, then you dream you're moving through an extremely horrifying forest. While in this forest, for 3 posts (+2 posts for each normal rolled if already under the effect) you see strange beings moving about the brush. Roll a Block Dice. If block is successful you take no damage, if block is not successful you take B ranked damage.
Strong:Dragon
If you are not asleep, you will take 5% HP damage, and be put asleep. If you are asleep when this is rolled, you must fight a small dragon. It takes 5 hits of C ranked damage to defeat, but its every attack deals B ranked damage. Its breath attack deals A ranked damage, and cannot be consumed by slayers. (Because you're in a nightmare)
Boss:Kreddy Frueger
A cheap knock-off of the real one, he wears a set of razor sharp knives on his fingers. Amazingly he's pretty good with them. You must defeat Kreddy twice. First time you face him, if not already asleep he puts you to sleep and begins the battle there. In the dream world, Kreddy can disappear into shadows, teleport around, and even extend his own shadow to stab you in the heart. His shadow attacks cannot be consumed by slayers (this is a nightmare still) and you must hit him 5 times to defeat him. After beating him one time, you must defeat him a second time in the real world. This time he takes 15 hits to take down, and will attack you with his claws. He's very fast, very agile, very annoying and deals 1.5x C ranked damage per slash. Keep in mind, his speed makes this reduced damage no consequence.
After your second win, roll a Damage Dice. If it's a miss, your character doesn't kill him.

The most recent job brought Baal and his partner to the Beanstalk Village. The place was very impressive to say the least. The two of them sat through the briefing from one of the members of the villages, talking about disappearances in the village near the underground tunnel network. One of the men briefing them mentioned that it was a man that was doing this. But something didn't click correctly with what the men of the village said. Clearing his throat, Baal walked up the mouth of the mineshaft. The mineshaft slowly descends downwards, forming a large network of tunnels. Standing at the mouth of the mineshaft, he stood in wait while adjusting his leather gauntlet. Turning his head towards Hayden, he smirked a bit. "How do these people know that we're hunting a guy? Or even a human for that matter? I mean, everyone who saw it never came back alive. Something seems super fishy to me," Baal stated before reaching to his back to make sure the scythe that he waited for forever was still attached to him. Something about this weapon was unsettling. Not only did the black ribbons upon the weapon move independently from gravity, but every time the blade feels air flowing over it haunting screeches could be heard. The sound of the wind howling and wraiths screeching could be heard from the blade. Thankfully it wasn't too much of a burden down here in the mineshaft. The only time it'll be heard is if Baal is forced to use it. "Well, I guess we ought to go after it, huh?" he said as he took a step forward into the tunnel. As he entered the tunnel, the smell of stale air wafted into his nostrils forcing him to curl his nose a bit. |  |
