    Mission:

Today was going to be a great day! It was the day Zenshin came out of retirement and decided it was time to get back into the swing of things, and what better way to so then to accept some special request that Raven: Sabertooth's current guild master gave him. He walked outside to take in the fresh air that day around the guild. It was definitely thinner up here, but it was also cleaner, better for the lungs and what have you. Upon stepping outside, his nostrils were assaulted with the bright glow of the sun, his eyes having no time to adjust to the fire ball in the sky. I've been inside way to long if the sun is giving me hell he thought woke tightly shutting his vision holes.

Slowly this time, he opened them once more and looked over the balcony of the guild. He could see all the way to the sandy ground where the old guild lied, not a cloud in the sky could obstruct his vision. The view up here was always a breathless one, whether the day was as clear as polished crystal or was shooting lighting sporadically. Every time he looked off the top of the floating castle in the sky, he was reminded why he was so compelled to build it up here to begin with. I wonder what is so important that Raven needs me, Frederick, Ryo, and even another powerful mage to go with her on some mission. Must be something deadly serious if she's leaving the guild in the hands of the newer members he thought, a little worried as to what would become of Sabertooth in the abscence of its leading members and guild master. He hoped the wouldn't burn down the place, but that seemed a little hopeful for a group of volatile, new mages.

If anything, I can just fix whatever they destroy afterwards, but not before I show the the consequences of damaging our home . He smirked at the thought of a bunch of misfit mages running away in terror from the four members whom were leaving for the job. Raven wanted to meet at the desert village an hour from fifty minutes ago, wanting the mages to prepare for this quest wrapped up in enigma. It was really a curious thing that Raven was being so mysterious about the nature of the quest, but he wasn't about to deny her his help. That wouldn't be very knightly at all.

He also wondered who the mysterious mage was. All he knew was that his name was Kihia and that he was from the guild Lamia Scale. To be in this group, though, Zen had no doubt that he was powerful. It's not everyday that a group of S ranks, guild masters, and ex-guild masters get together in one place. Upon deciding that it was finally time to get going, the recreationist headed out towards the desert village, and when he arrived, it was apparent that he was the first to arrive.

Post by Godlike Frederik 20th May 2015, 10:57 am

Roughly half an hour to forty-five minutes later, coming from a different direction. Frederick entered the premises of the Desert Village. The reason for this, was off course, that he wasn't present at the guildhall when Raven send out a message to her companions. Instead he was actually taking a little break from the guild itself, after the entire vampire den debacle. Frederick thought it was for the best that he didn't return immediately. But instead take on a simple job myself, which consisted mostly out of eradicating bandits strongholds in the forgotten desert.

Because of this convenient location he was actually just a few hours away when he got received word of Raven, and her urging inquiry if he would meet her at the Desert Village. Which he at first considered to just ignore and continue what he was doing, he was after all holding up a thug against the wall at that moment.
He did however realized the underlined seriousness in Raven's request, even though she didn't directly showed it. Frederick felt in his gut something was up. So he'd dropped the bandit, in the most roughest way possible. Namely by punching him further into the wall. And directly made way for the meet up.

This better be worth it' he thought while he traversed the small streets of the village. Until he reached a small courtyard in the middle of town. The same courtyard where he once faced off with Zenshin, one of the previous guild master of Sabertooth.
Just remembering that would send a chill down his spine, the fight was as fast as it was brutal. And the outcome of it resulted in his own demise. That was off course, if Zenshin didn't gave him a second chance in the aftermath of that battle. Saving his life before his soul completely slipped away.

Frederick could still see that moment in front of him as he currently could see the light of day, his own blood dripping down his fingers. Grasping for air, cursing Zenshin in hist last moments. While the crimson red liquid tainted the beige colored pavement of the village.
Speaking of Zenshin, the moment Frederick stepped around the corner and onto the courtyard he noticed the very man that once ended and saved his life. His silver white hair, briefly fluttering in a soft breeze.

'Oh... it's you' Frederick said, with a total lack of enthusiasm in his voice. The fact that he even didn't try to hide it could actually be considered insulting. But if one would know these two, you would know that they didn't liked each other very much. Sure there was a form of respect between them, a both way street of admiration for their power. But except that there was nothing. Not just their personalities clashed. But their entire being did, he used recreation magic. While Frederick molded the emptiness of darkness to his own liking.

'Considering that there is already one waiting, I am safe to assume there are more on their way'

Post by Kihia 20th May 2015, 3:00 pm

A large rooster tail of sand could be seen off in the horizon, the Ikarones was flying low to the desert sands, at speeds of mach five. The two passengers of this advanced magic aircraft were silent, however, only because one of them didn’t talk much and the face one was absolutely sick to his stomach. Ukan laid there groaning, currently the size of an English bulldog, he was suffering from a terrible case of motion sickness. The Pilot on the otherhand, was staring out of the Forward Window, wearing a set of armor under a white trench coat, on the right shoulder was the Guild Emblem of Lamia Scale, and the other, the mark of the Ten Wizard Saints. The white haired mage was lost in thought, he and his Guild had been through a lot recently. The Guild had been attacked, the hall was in serious need of repair that was slowly progressing, however the deepest wound had yet to heal in many of the members of the guild, including Kihia’s. The former Guild Master, Zuo Cii had died in the defense of the Guild, and now Kihia was his successor, something he had mixed feelings about.

It was shortly after the battle that he had received word he had been nominated as one of the Ten Wizard Saints, the irony of it all. A month had past and he received a letter delivered to him by a courier from the Magic Council, Evidentially a few powerful wizards from the Sabretooth job were gathering together for a task and he had been asked to assist with.

He sighed and then turned the Ikarones to the direction of the Desert village and maintained his altitude creating a large rooster tail that encompassed the entire area behind him. After a minute the Ikarones flew directly overhead the courtyard followed shortly by a shockwave, Kihia then decelerated the ship and started to make it hover not too far off from the edge of town, he tilted the ship a bit looking for a place to land, he then spotted a large opening right next to the courtyard, he nodded and then carefully maneuvered his ship to land exactly in the middle of the area with the back facing the courtyard. He then unstrapped himself and grabbed his altered weapon, that had undergone its own transformation after the giant surge of Kihia’s own magical power. “Ukan… We have arrived…” The wyvern merely groaned in response as the gangplank and entry hatch opened up at the rear of the ship, Kihia then quietly disembarked squinting as the Desert sun hit his eyes, he stood there for a moment letting his eyes adjust before looking around, he then saw someone he recognized from the Guild Masters Conference that was held nearly a year ago, Zenshin, from what he heard now the previous Guild Master of Sabertooth who had stepped down, in front of him was a man he didn’t recognize but considering what was said, took he was one of the other Sabertooth mages joining on this expedition. Kihia then walked off the gang plank and then towards the two mages stopping a few meters off, “I guess you two also got this request as well…?”

Ryo was late again. He couldn't believe he was late. He had an immortal body now, well time immortal body and he was late. Still he was hungry and had to feed. He and his ever faithful companion Gora had stopped by to visit their partner in the Sabertooth guild hall. When they were satisfied that he was doing well and would recover from the ordeal of his coma they had set out. Still now on the edge of the great Desert the sun was scorching down and despite the heavy clothes that Ryo wore he needed to feed. So here he was holding a desert reptile up to his mouth drinking down the precious life it had to offer him.

This was something that he was still getting used to. After his last mission with his partner at the time Frederick and their destruction of a vampire den they were presented with a choice. Jewels or the gift of vamparisim. Ryo didn't care what Frederick had picked and even left him to make the choice on his own, but Ryo had selected to become a vampire. He was changed, and as a result his skin paled, and he gained this necessary need to feed on the blood of either humans, or animals. Ryo was grateful that he could choose to feed on animals and still obtain the strength he needed. He didn't want to turn anyone into the blood dolls he had seen in the den. It was a cruel fate no one would deserve, unless of course they had attacked Sabertooth or his friends.

However, the feeding made him late. He and Gora rushed with all haste from the guild hall when they had been summoned by the guild master Raven. She told him that he was to be part of a team of magi she was gathering in order to do something. The details she had kept from him, but he was needed and Ryo being the ever loyal soldier rushed off to the Desert village in order to meet up with the rest of the team. When he finished his meal he stood up and fet the corpse to Gora who ate it up happily. The two then rushed off once more with all haste. Kihia had just arrived and spoken. The contraption he was on was bizzare looking to Ryo, and he had no clue what it was, but what was clear was the mage who was stepping down looked powerful. He had heard that the one joining them was from the legal guild "Lamia Scale" this brought back the memories of Talen to Ryo's mind.

He wondered how he would explain to Talen if he ever saw him again that he had given up celestial spirit magic to obtain the darker magic he had now. It would be a discussion for another time as Ryo stopped running and began to walk up dressed in his black duster, his broad brimmed hat, and his usual attire his spurs clicking loudly as usual "I guess I'm the last to arrive. I'm sorry everyone." he said as he tipped his hat in greeting. Gora walked right next to him almost as tall as his partner, but he kept his eyes on both Frederick and Kihia. The Dire wolf had met and scented Zenshin before, but these two were new to him, and would require watching.

Ryo on the other hand had his eyes fixed on only one person. Zenshin. He walked forward to the man and took his hat off bowing deeply his hat over his heart "Zenshin-sama. It is a great pleasure to see you again. I had hoped you would come out of retirement at some point." he said before he put his hat back on his head and looked to Frederick with a friendly smile tipping his hat to him. now he turned to assess the new mage and his Wyvern partner.

Post by Yvonne 21st May 2015, 4:48 am

Raven stared out at the window with emotionless pale violet eyes. Though she seemed as if she was staring at the blue hydrangeas under her window, Raven's mind had actually been wandering to many different things like the wind. Words, the news she heard a week ago, were playing hide and seek in her head, appearing and disappearing as if to tease the confused woman. A week ago, she had received news that something was going on in the Raven World, her home. How she received the news was the biggest surprise. She found demons, her species, and they came to deliver a letter to her. The bewildered Raven, of course, stared at the beings she thought to be extinct in shock which lasted till she finally opened the letter. Little did she know a bigger surprise was waiting for her.

Ikaros had sent her a message stating that he had made a device to create portals at will. He also informed her that he was coming for her and even described the exact place and time the next portal will appear. He was obviously playing games with her. The growing discomfort in her stomach started since then and Raven had spent sleepless nights trying to come up with a plan to stop Ikaros. It would be too difficult by herself! Ikaros was not weak nor was he a foe to underestimate. He was cruelly smart. He always planned ahead. But more than all of that, Raven was heartbroken by the fact that the beings she once killed were now back to life...serving Ikaros.

So the Sabertooth guild master did what she could do. She asked for four strong mages to help her. She sent letters to Frederik, Zenshin, Ryo and Kihia to assist her with something. She didn't explain in detail, wanting to tell them everything herself.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Raven felt a wave of relief wash over her when she found everyone gathered around where she had asked them to. She honestly didn't think all of them would show up, especially the new Lamia Scale Guild Master, Kihia, given the fact that the previous guild master was murdered not too long ago. Raven would have considered the Blue Pegasus guild master as for not to inconvenience Kihia but figured that it wouldn't work with Fred and him in the same party.

"I'm glad all of you are here," she spoke from behind. "I know you all must be wondering about my motivation to bring all of you skilled mages under one group. However, what awaits us is something I can't prevent by myself. Some of you are aware of my story and some of you are not," her eyes flashed to Kihia and Ryo knowing very well that Fred and Zenshin were aware of at least a little of her history. "To all those who don't know, I'm a demon. I'm a raven demon and my world is far away from here. A long time ago, a Goddess brought peace to my land and placed my father's ancestor at the throne. I am what you would call a princess...however, I'm a murderer. After my father's death, ravens began to retreat to their primitive character. they wanted to kill, to feed off of other demons' blood and everything was just....just chaos. On top of all and leading the situation was the very person that killed my father, Ikaros. He wanted to takeover their minds and rule over the world along with many others. But for that, he needed the ancient power called Raven Heart. My power. In the middle of trying to draw my power for himself, he awakened my sleeping powers and demon....Just as how that Goddess prophesied a long time ago, I killed off my own kind....each and every one of them save for Ikaros. Just as I was about to deal the final blow on him, the balance gave away and I was thrown into this world," she paused to look at each of the people she was going to entrust the fate of her own world and many others. "A week ago, I learned that Ikaros had managed to create a device that can opn up portals to other worlds. He...I'm sure he plans to takeover all the worlds he can using it. We need to stop him. According to the information I got, a portal will open somewhere here. We have to go to Ikaros before he comes to us".

Quoth The Raven [job] Empty Re: Quoth The Raven [job]

Post by King Zenshin 21st May 2015, 7:13 am

Upon seeing his good friend Frederick, the recreationist smiled brightly. It was always nice to see the dark mage. No matter how down he felt or how grey the skies were, Frederick always had this way of brightening up Zen's mood from glum to grand, as was the case with everyone. A good leader, an optimist, and in general just a fun to be around guy, the whole guild adored their resident shadow mage and took whatever opportunity the got to spend their time with him. Of course, that was a complete lie and Fred was the opposite of those things, though he did bring a smile to Zenshin's face. Not because he was chipper and light hearted, but because Zenshin could feel the resentment that emanated from him. And he relished in it.

Frederick owed his life to Zenshin, and he knew it. At least in his mind anyways. And that simple fact probably drive him mad. "I don't think we've properly acknowledged the irony of this yet, haha" he said, raising his left arm. From the elbow down it was completely made of a golden, radiant alloy, though it was not flesh and blood. Others who would have seen this would probably be confused, for Zenshin was referring to their earliest encounter. An encounter which he regretted not killing Frederick for a very long time.

Until the point where he could have killed Frederick a second time, actually, though he spared the darkness mage once again. Not because he was forced to. No, not this time. He spared Frederick because, when he judged him in that instance, ithe would have done more good if Frederick's power be put to bettering the nation, despite the ramifications that it would have with Blue Pegasus. Shuhei would rather see him put to death than reformed, though that would only serve to detriment the country.

Zenshin had killed, though only when all other options are exhausted. By that point, he felt as though whomever's life he was ending brought it upon themselves by that point. Then, an airship flew by causing a huge ruckus and kicking up the sands around as well as the dresses and lose objects of the residents of the desert village. They looked angrily when the pilot emerged, which Zenshin looked on with a bit of disappointment. "Nice to meet you too. I'm Zenshin and this is Frederick" he said, squinting a little at the man who appeared so suddenly.

"You might want to apologize to the people for the mess you made" he said, skeptical of this unknown factor. Rude and inconsiderate. That, or an extreme lack of foresight. Fantastic pilot and powerful mage he thought, quickly summing up his observations thus far. Raven came and Ryo arrived a little after her, bringing along Gora, his favorite wolf. Zenshin pet the direwolf before greeting it brightly. Then, he turned to Ryo who greeted him honorably, prompting Zenshin to remove his straw hat as well, place it over his heart, and giving him a slightly shallower bow than he gave him. "I'm happy to see you too, Ryo. It's reassuring knowing that I have you watching my back" he said. Soon after, Raven got on with her story and explained this world threatening evil which they needed to stop prompting only a single question. "And who gave you this information?" He felt he knew who it was, but that made him worried and hoped Raven would prove him wrong.

Quoth The Raven [job] Empty Re: Quoth The Raven [job]

Post by Godlike Frederik 21st May 2015, 10:11 am

Even though Frederick's entire being was mostly covered underneath a tick layered black cloak. It was still more then clear that he carried a bitter resentment towards the white haired mage in front of him. For that one didn't need to see his face, because those feelings were thick as clouds. So thick that if it were possible it would be hanging vividly around him.

What got to Frederick the most, was Zenshin's smile. It irked him, it got under his skin. Knowing that he knew how Frederick felt. How hard it was to deal with the fact that he owed this man his life. Not only once but twice. Something that not many of people knew, in fact the only people who would knew what happened between them in the past was probably just the two of them. Well and Zeno off course the previous guild master of Eclipse Soul.

But as Zenshin said, there was a sort of irony now between them. As the mage raised his left arm, it was clearly shown that something had happened. A battle perhaps? Or something else entirely. Either way, Zenshin didn't came out unscathed so it seems. As from the elbow down, his entire arm was replaced? Or coated with a golden layer. But being this way wasn't really what Zenshin was indicating. Instead he was clearly hitting toward that very thing in the past, and only remembering it. Made Frederick clench his fists. Back then, this man together with his guild master. Were on the hunt for Savage Skull, and managed to track him down. Only so that they could 'interrogate' him, and that interrogation almost costed Frederick his arm. Just like Zenshins was right now.

Before Frederick could even respond to the previous guild master of Sabertooth, something intervened, something big. Which considering where their conversation was going, was probably for the best.
Shifting loose sand all around the, and probably actually disturbing the mundane lives of the people in the small town. Was a large flaying ship, that would anchored itself into an open area. Because of it's size, it would stir up some gusts of wind even though it was docking itself. Making Frederick's cloak flutter loudly for a second.
After it's descent a gangplank would emerge from the ship, and create a small thin pathway for the very person that piloted the magical mechanism. Which was to be a rather young fellow, clothed in a trench coat so white, that it was almost obscene. Considering the blackened attire Frederick himself wore.

Upon introduction, it seemed that Zenshin took to the lead. And summed up his own name, as well as Frederick's. Who in turn, only made a loud 'tch' sound and turned his face away from the entire ordeal. Clearly showing he wasn't planning on any further pleasantries with the new face.

Not to long after that, a fourth face appeared. Only this time a familiar one. Ryo Knetegawa, the very mage he was on a job with a couple of weeks ago. A job, that didn't go according to plan very well. In fact the entire outcome of that job, didn't worked well on the already strained relationship he had with this man. Knowing that Ryo choose to accept a 'dark' gift, that Frederick condemned as a parasite.

Then the moment arises that the guest of honor actually arrived at the scene, namely his current guild master Raven Kurosaki. Who showed a relieved face when she saw that everyone she wanted here, had actually gathered there.
She didn't waste a second tho, immediately upon her arrival. She started to share her story with them. Something that Frederick was familiar with, just barely though. And explained how dire the situation has gotten since last time she had met 'Ikaros'.

It was then that Zenshin actually asked a rather peculiar question, something that had crossed Frederick's mind as well. If Raven's realm was truly off limits, then how could it be that she received the frightening news that her arch nemesis, had the ability to open portals to other worlds at will now. And on top of that, has an army this his disposal whose number span that of an entire world.

Post by Kihia 21st May 2015, 5:35 pm

Kihia stood there as Zenshin introduced himself and the man known as Frederik, when the name was said he remembered details of this mage from the numerous texts he has read in Lamia Scales Grand Library, one that contains historical text from every era, including the events of years past that he had missed before he ventured out as a legal mage. He then quietly bowed at the two famous mages, “I am Kihia Avoa, sorry for my late introduction… my mind… is elsewhere…” He then heard what Zenshin had said next made Kihia stand up and tilt his head a bit, he then turned to his left and saw the trouble he had caused, piles of sand were everywhere in the streets, stands were overturned, numerous citizens were half buried in the sands.

An anime sweat drop formed on his head as he then preceded to punch his own forehead… “I am sorry for the disturbance….” He then heard the approaching steps of another mage who had was also very powerful, he then saw another mage, pale in complexion wearing heavy clothing and a hat, he heard the pleasantries between the newcomer and Zenshin. Kihia however turned to his ship and watched as Ukan slowly crawled out of the ship and onto the sandy surface, “Kihia… I swear I am going to smash that contraption one day…” Kihia gently smiled and bent down and patted the shrunken Wyvern, his attention was then turned towards the fifth member, his senses as a Demon Slayer at their peak, however seeing the calm and somewhat relieved expression of this person and the other Sabertooth members Kihia knelt their disguising his tension by stroking Ukan’s back scales. I wonder… if they only called upon me just because of my status as a Wizard Saint… I have had no real previous connection to any of them…

The newcomer was a violet haired woman, and from her appearance and the information he had learned from various sources, this was none other than the Sabertooth Guild Master, Raven Kurosaki. She then spoke up, explaining her own story as well as the reason she had called this group together, Even though she is a demon… I sense no evil energies from her magical power… Zenshin then asked the next question, something that was giving Kihia a bad feeling about. He looked down at Ukan, whose own expression as serious as the rest of the group. The Frozen Knight knelt there waiting for the answer although another question pressed his mind, he then stood up and stared at the group of Sabertooth mages, but more so at their master than anything else, “Also… What exactly are we to expect in this world of you are from…? Also, if it is just this Ikaros you spoke of… why do you need all of us when you almost beat him yourself before coming to this world…” Kihia then stood there in silence as Ukan stood up and did a kicking motion against Kihia’s shin, for both his bluntness and the abruptness of his own question.

Post by RyoKnetegawa 21st May 2015, 11:09 pm

Ryo couldn't help but smile as he saw the way frederick had acted. He always enjoyed the mage's moody attitude as it didn't make anyone really upset with him, or at least it didn't make Ryo upset with him. Insted in only made Ryo see him more as an individual and quite the interesting one at that. He had hoped that after their interaction in their last job together that things would smooth out between the two, but after Ryo's choice it seemed things only got more rigid. Still he wouldn't let it get to him. Frederick was a member of Sabertooth and he would have to get used to it sooner or later.

As for Zenshin the former guild master looked quite well in health, and it was always a joy for Ryo to see him. He and the former guild master had actually done a job together when Ryo was a bit less experienced, but now that Ryo was much stronger he would be sure to show off all that he had learned ,and all that he had mastered in the years. Of course Gora didn't mind being pet by Zenshin as the man was of significance and a friend. With his own guild seen too now it was time to welcome the new comer properly. Ryo turned and approached him slowly tipping his hat to Kihia with a smile on his face "A pleasure to meet you Kihia. My name is Ryo, and this is my partner Gora." he said gesturing to the great wolf who was standing next to him. He then returned his attention to Kihia with his smile showing plenty of teeth and it was clear that there were two fangs among his regular teeth. Still he kept speaking "I do know you are from Lamia Scale. I can't help but ask if you happen to know Master Talen. He's a celestial spirit mage who taught me that particular magic. I was wondering if you knew how he was fairing?"

When Raven appeared and began to speak however Ryo quickly dropped the conversation and turned his focus to his current guild master bowing his head slightly to her in greeting seeing that she was very eager to get to the point. Ryo wouldn't interupt and when everyone had asked their questions, and voiced their concerns Ryo was the last voice to speak "How are we supposed to kill him if you could not? Not only that but are we sure our magic will have the same effect on him in this other world? The rules of magic might be very different than what we are used to, and if we can't use our magic to full effect then we will surely be at a significant disadvantage." he said as he randomly made an Ace of Spades appear in his left hand and began to run it along his knuckles and flip it to and fro in his impaitence, and also to show his mind was hard at work thinking of all scenarios.

Post by Yvonne 22nd May 2015, 8:40 am

Raven was glad they were asking questions. At least it meant they were considering the whole thing. Sighing, she forced herself to relax as her head carefully considered each question and the best way to answer them. “Alright,” she started, turning to Zenshin first. “Ikaros himself gave me the information using some lesser ranked crow demons. Now I know what you must be thinking. It might seem that I’m a fool for listening to him and following his instructions. However, if there is one thing I know about Ikaros, it’s the fact that he doesn’t take the short way out. He would want me to fight so that he could enjoy every minute of ripping my life apart,” she shrugged, half amused at her enemy and half scared. Yes, scared. Ikaros was one enemy she would never take lightly.

She was glad Fred didn’t have any questions. Either he didn’t or he was just keeping quiet about it. Either way, they would get all answers to their questions and more once they get to her world. It was Kihia’s turn to get the answers next. “Good question. At that time, my full powers were awakened and having killed off all of my species turned me into a violent, mad mess that even I’m disgusted of. Getting thrown past different portals and finally ending up in this one, when I got my conscious, I learned that my powers have horribly shrunk. I can’t channel that type of power anymore. Unless...you want me to go back to that violent being that only wanted to kill a.k.a tap into my inner demon. Not a pretty sight though...,” she answered, clicking her tongue at the end. She could clearly remember what turned her into that and she was not looking forward to withdraw back to her demonic sides. Not at all.

Finally, she turned to Ryo who produced a card out of nowhere and started playing with it. “Our magic will work just as well as it does here in my world. It’s not very different from this one except it’s more dark and uhm more or less destroyed...as for me not being able to beat him....that is why I need you four. He isn’t an easy enemy. I’ll tell you that much,” she finished and was about to look up wondering about the portal when she heard terrible screeching sounds coming from behind. There were ten crow demons, much like the ones that paid her a visit a week ago. However, the ones that showed up this time seemed much fiercer. As if they had lost all connection to their sanity. “And we have company already,” she took a step back.

She was hesitant. She wasn’t happy about having to kill the beings she already once did. At that time, she did it because she wasn’t in her right mind. That wasn’t the case this time. “If they are here, it means the portal is open here somewhere. We need to take care of these fast and find the portal before more demons make use of it. I’ll find the portal while you take care of them. They are not...that difficult”.

Post by King Zenshin 22nd May 2015, 9:25 am

Such an adorable dog he thought while Gora happily accepted the mage's hand on his furry skull. When he was done with that, he looked at the colossal ship that the absent minded, apparently Lamia Scale mage came on and used his handy dandy Origin Perception, as it intrigued him. Sure, he wouldn't use this power on people unless they let him or his life was in danger, but objects, things, they were fair game. When the entirety of the ship entered his mind, he chuckled a bit. It almost shared the same name as Raven's arch enemy whom was planning to invade different realms and take them all over, though he wouldn't tell anyone. He was just surprised that Kihia didn't laugh at the coincidence as well. I guess he just has a different sense of humor.

Raven explained how she got the information from the man they were hunting, around some suspicion in Zenshin's mind at the very least. "Then he's planning for us to come. I don't think we *aren't* walking right into a trap." he said, getting very skeptical about this mission. They would be walking right into a trap. "Oh well, greater challenge I suppose" he then reasoned. If there was anything he learned from his mentor, the guild master before him, it was that it's only fair if the odds are stacked against you. A concept that he was sure that Ryo knew as well as he, being the guild gambler and all.

A terrible screeching could be heard from around them. They did indeed have company, but there was something he had to tell to Raven before he began to fight. "I believe I made you a promise back at the guild hall Raven. I will not break it if need be, so try to be careful" he said, looking her straight in the eyes and dropping his light hearted demeanor that he normally had. Then, he smiled and looked over to where those ear wrenching sounds were coming from. They smelled like death and looked like it too, they were demons now, long losing their once pristine bird form. Zenshin summoned his scythe, The Reaper, out of seemingly no where and felt the weight in his hands. He'd miss using his weapon for combat.

Slowly, he walked towards one that was eating food off the floor from a stand which was nearly blown away by the airship. It noticed him before he was even ten feet away and let out a sharp 'caw' before flying towards him. What a decrepit monster was his only thought before sliding his left foot behind his right and turning his whole body to the left in a single movement. Then, he brought the blade of the scythe down like an executioner's ax onto the body of the reborn bird, slicing it cleanly in half. He hoped it would get up again and try to attack him from two sides, but it didn't seem like it was getting up.

Post by Godlike Frederik 22nd May 2015, 1:49 pm

Pitiful, that was how Frederick would described the beings in his head. Seeing their current state, he could only imagine the majestic appearance they used to have. Before they were turned into those horrific abominations. It was as if the birdlike features tried to took over with force, only to suddenly stop. Leaving open spots of humanlike skin, totally out sync.

Yet on the other hand, Frederick was rather glad with their arrival. Now he could focus on what he was actually asked to do. Which was defeating these beings at all cost. And that was definitely better, then standing there in silence. While listening to the questions his fellow mages posed to Raven.

'About time' he said out loud, without even considering how Raven might feel about the fact that they were about to slay her kin. 'I grew tired of you fools asking the obvious questions'

Simultaneously while he spoke, the darkness that always resided in Frederick. Took on a vivid form, which would emit from him like the steam from a tea kettle that reached it's boiling point. Only unlike steam, this opposite from radiance was pitch black, so much even that the conductor of this vile magic was barely visible to the human eye.

Also at that exact same time, Zenshin would slice the first of the horrid beings in two separate halves. Spilling its guts and blood all over the courtyards pavement. Which to the other bird like entities was like the starting shot to engage the enemy in combat.
Their screeching filled the air, as they hopped down from the rooftops or crawled from out the aligned small alleys. However the second one that was nearing their group received and equally brutal welcome as the one that Zenshin separated. As a long dark mass rushed out the blackness surrounding Frederick and immediately dashed towards a demon that landed in the midst of their group. With great velocity the mass would collide with the being and carry it all the way with it until it crashed it into the wall, of the nearest building.

Upon impact one could hear the short agonizing death scream of the feathered demon, just before the rumbling sounds of a building caving in overtrumped it. Crashing through the remainder of the roof was the same black mass again, only this time it rose high up into the air. So that it could create once again enough speed to home into another target.
Now rushing down form the sky, the black mass would aim towards a shadowy figure that would rise behind Frederick. A figure that was ready to strike at his opponent, if only it was fast enough to actual perform that certain attack.

Before it even had a chance, the long singular black mass had already crushed it into the ground. Leaving nothing more then an impact hole with a bloodied pulp mashed into it.

Frederick in the meantime hasn't moved and inch, or even showed any form retainment as he literally crushed someones home just now. In fact he was actually so caught up in destroying an enemy, that he didn't cared or probably noticed the calamity he brought with his attack.

Post by Kihia 22nd May 2015, 5:10 pm

Kihia had been approached from the third Sabertooth member and Introduced himself, Kihia quietly bowed and quietly said, “It is a pleasure to meet you Ryo….” He then heard him ask about Talen and Kihia lowered his Gaze, “Talen has been busy as of late… I have not been able to keep track of everyone easily… since the incident…

Kihia listened to the answers Raven gave, none of which but the last gave him any more confidence he was happy going into this. That’s when his sensitive hears picked up the sound of horrid screeches, which then Raven had promptly responded by stating the apparent. Kihia sighed as the others had engaged a few of the raven demons, Zenshin had made a large scythe and promptly sliced one in half, Frederik on the other hand started to manipulate darkness itself to crush two of the demons into a house and the ground.

Kihia reached behind himself and grabbed Icarus, pulling it out of its snap release sheath, as he did he began to spin it as a ring of ice formed connected to both ends. He then charged at a group of three demons while spinning Icarus even faster, “Ice Make…. Spiral Blade…” Nine curved blades then shot out of the ice ring, pure white in color. He then swung Icarus forward slicing one of the ravens clean in half, he then retracted Icarus as the two other Ravens flew right past him, straight for the others. Kihia grimaced as he then stomped on the ground with his left foot and then spun around swinging Icarus in a wide arc, which at the end he threw Icarus with tremendous force directly at one of the demons as it completely sliced through it and then continued flying through the air.

Kihia then extended his left hand towards Icarus and summoned upon his ancestral powers of Cyrokinisis, he then waved his left arm to the left and pulled it back and in turn Icarus followed suit, turning midair keeping its rapid spin as it then barreled back towards Kihia slicing through the third Raven making its two halves fall to the ground. Kihia then reached out with his right hand and caught Icarus midair halting it completely. Kihia then glanced to his side and saw another raven aiming straight for his head like a spear, to which he then ducked down in a incredibly low stance as it flew overhead at a rapid speed, then another tried the same attempt from the front. Kihia then used his low stance and jumped high into the air. Watching the entire scene unfold from high above a question came to mind, “Do these demons even have some kind of plan…. They are falling in droves… I cannot even pick out a distinct strategy….” Kihia then landed on the ground in a kneeling position not too far off from the Ikarones, Ukan was still sitting in the same spot ready to attack anything that came his way, but Kihia had a feeling he won't be getting a taste of the action this round.

Post by RyoKnetegawa 22nd May 2015, 8:49 pm

Ryo listened to the explanations she was giving and it all made good sense to him so there wasn't anything more for him to ask. On a more personal level. He was a bit sad to hear that Talen had been lost. He wasn't sure what incident the Lamia Scale guild master was refering to. This was because Ryo didn't have ny clue as to the entire detailed happenings that caused Kihia to inherit his position. He heard Zenshin's observation that they would most likely be trapped and he shook his head lightly as he tipped his hat in front of his eyes "So they house has all the cards...." he muttered to himself. He then lifted his head smiling "But we're the Joker card Zenshin-sama. The Trap he set probably isn't meant to trap three other mage's near Lady Raven's level. Especially not another guild master, a former guild master, a mage strong enough to be a guild master, and me." He glanced to Frederick to see if he would pick up on the subtle compliment.

Still all of this quickly left his mind as he heard the screeching kaws of the demons that they were supposed to be fighting. He watched with a neutral expression as they began to file down towards the group in droves. Ryo heard Kihia speak his question aloud and it began to trouble Ryo as well. Still he and Gora weren't about to be left out of the action. Gora inflated in size and his fur began to look like jagged edged crystals as he prepared for combat. He bounded up to several of the demons stepping on them and crushing them under paw or breaking them in half with his powerful jaws.

Of course Ryo wouldn't let himself be outshined by any of the magi who were in attendance. He pulled up many of his cards and began to throw them in groups at two at a time at various ravens. The ones he hit were knocked clean out by the first card, but the second card would spell a fatal blow. These birds were far too easy, and the fact that there was so many of them only made Ryo annoyed. However as he pulled up five playing cards an element card and an enhancement card from his deck he smirked and nodded his head lightly. With these cards he was great, but he wasn't gold. He suspended these cards in the telekenetic field over his left hand while he pulled up more cards and a black card focusing on it to change it into an Enhancement card. "Projectile Cards" He whispered as he threw all ten cards. After a few short meters they doubled to twenty cards clearing a wave of the ravens as they swarmed the group "It must be to buy time for something. This is pretty standard, and rather skillful strategy. He must have thought that Raven would be alone and thus hesitant to kill these beasts. He didn't count on us." he said confidently as he began to go back to his barrage of playing card carnage.

Quoth The Raven [job] Empty Re: Quoth The Raven [job]

Post by Yvonne 24th May 2015, 7:55 am

Raven stared at Zenshin’s back with emotionless eyes. She had heard him loud and clear when he reminded her of the conversation they had had in Raven’s office weeks ago. “I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she muttered under her breath and turned around to go find the portal the demons were using. She was well aware of the full weight of their current situation. Raven knew, much more than Zenshin or anyone that once she loses to her inner demon, she would quickly lose her ability to differentiate between right and wrong. She had entrusted Frederik with her life if it ever happened and a reminder for it was the last thing she needed from anyone. At least, if she were to leave this world, she would leave with some happy memories too. In this world that she considered as a second home, she had found friends, felt the joy of being loved and being able to love and she found something so dear to her that to protect it, she was willing to let her life go to Lucifer’s hands if needed. She had never felt as alive as she had been for the last few years that she became part of Sabertooth. That’s why she would fight her best to return to her guild.

She walked a few meters away from the rest of her group, letting the familiar feeling of her home guide her. The wind wailed and whined as it kicked up the mute sand. Her black cloak fluttered in the wind behind, exposing parts of the baby blue jeans and white floral dress like top she wore. Raven basically had mixed feelings about this quest she was on. In a way, the fact that she was finally going home captivated her selfish heart. However, the merciless memories that assaulted her dreams pulled her back as fear gripped her shaking legs.

She halted in front of a red portal. She poured words of consolation to herself in her thoughts and turned back to see her companions were following her already. When she saw that they were still engaged in fighting, the violet haired girl quickly summoned a crow on her right hand, whispered something to its ears and sent it away to get the rest of the group. She was going to go in before them. Her source of bitter sweet feelings was just a few feet away from her.

Raven drew a shaky breath when she was pulled into the portal and vaguely felt her wings automatically release from its confinements to suit the air and power she received from being in her home. Somehow, she wasn’t surprised when she saw her failing world. It was almost completely destroyed. The only thing that clearly stood in one’s view was the castle that still stood in its place proudly. She felt torn between her want to cry and desire to smile. Nonetheless, she stayed still with no change in expressions, stubbornly refusing to give up to her wavering feelings.

Quoth The Raven [job] Empty Re: Quoth The Raven [job]

Post by King Zenshin 25th May 2015, 1:05 pm

Zenshin smiled as he saw Frederick follow suit with his own attack on the crazed demon Ravens. He couldn't see through all the darkness that Frederick surrounded himself in, but he was sure that the creatures from hell would get what was coming to them. It was comforting to see Frederick in his element aside from being a socially repressed lunatic with no regard for the feelings of others. As he watched the destruction, he got confused. Wait what did Ryo call me. Sama? What does that mean he thought, blinking aimlessly while another crow came flying at him, this time from above. Well I'm sure that Raven's little arch nemesis planned on her bringing help. People aren't cocky enough to play with their prey unless they're ready to fight it when it's backed into a corner he continued, thinking of what Ryo told him while looking up into its rotten mouth. It smelled disgusting and had sharp teeth. It was loud and unpleasant as a whole, so the scythe wielding man didn't really have any problems sending it plummeting.

When it was close, it cawed again, allowing Zenshin the perfect opening to turn his weapon upside down and jab its shaft right down its exposed throat, choking and killing the bird, or re-killing the bird. Every one person who joined into the fight took out more enemies than the last, which was convenient to him, though didn't leave much to fight. He shrugged and thought of what he'd seen. That Kihia is an ice maker, hm he said, reminiscing a bit on his past endeavors as a mage with the same affiliation. Although he missed his icy creations, he knew that Recreation was the path he was destined to take, and there was no going back now, nor was there going to anything else. As far as his magic went, this was the end of the line, which was a thought that bothered him in the back of his mind. Hopefully I'll get to see something that I would have never thought of later. Now, I wonder where Raven went he then thought, pondering on the location of the mage who had given them instruction.

Instead of hanging out here and killing the demon ravens which were no longer a threat, really, as there were already four destroying them in flocks, he would go look for the portal that Raven had spoken about. It wasn't too long since she had left the scene of recently slaughtered crow demons, so it also wasn't too hard to remember where she went. Upon investigating, he found that there was a giant red portal humming not far from his previous location. "Guys! Raven went on without us, come on! Don't want to keep her waiting" he yelled, hoping it was loud enough for his allies to hear him. Wonder why she didn't want to go with us together. I'll just ask her about it later he wondered before walking up to the portal. Well, it's now or never and he walked on in.

Post by Godlike Frederik 26th May 2015, 11:14 am

Whilst Frederick's own dark mass was homing through the air, the other two mages in their company had engaged the enemy as well. Which resulting in a rather quick yet expected victory over the raven demons. Which wasn't so surprising considering the attendants of this little party, sure they couldn't be any more different from each other then a human was from a plant. But that didn't undermine the very fact that these were probably some of the most powerful mages of the current age.

In the aftermath of the short yet decisive battle, Frederick's own dark mass would twirl back to him. And swirl around him until it become one with his blackened aura again. Which in turn slowly would vanish until Frederick himself became visible again.

It was then that he heard the familiar voice of Zenshin shouting through the small village, which Frederick found rather surprising since he never really heard him shout before. Nor did he expect that he himself was so attuned to it, that he could immediately understand that it was Zenshins voice. Especially since it sounded a bit faint, which suggested that the former guild master was further away from them now.

'That foolish wench! She calls for my aid yet slips away on her own!' Pissed with such a foolish and rash decision, even though she had asked the help of four very powerful mages, Frederick almost was able to punch the nearest wall. Or anything that was in his closest vicinity. Hell, he would even punch Raven right now, guild master or not.

'Ryo!' he said loudly 'Lets go!' the anger in his voice was more then noticeable, showing once again how easily his anger was triggered nowadays. As well as his lack of respect. Since he only called out to Ryo, and completely ignored the other mage. Which mostly originated because he simply didn't care for the new face. Not that he cared much for Ryo or Zenshin even at that matter. But at least them he knew, which to him could be considered the closest thing to an acknowledgement of someones actual worth.

If Kihia followed him he didn't know, since he didn't really looked back, as for Ryo. Frederick pretty much just assumed that he had heard Zenshins shouts as well, and would instinctively follow him to the same direction.
With wide steps Frederick marched towards that same direction, until he reach the end of a street and gawked at a red glowing portal. An ominous circular anomaly that spanned the width of almost the entire street. And somehow seemed to distort your vision. Just like a road would do in the distant on a hot summer day.

Post by Kihia 26th May 2015, 9:26 pm

Kihia was standing their deep in thought as he waited for any sign of what was going on, it was apparent that all of the demons had been defeated in some form, he let out a sigh, he twirled Icarus a few more times and then dispelled the spell he had enchanted Icarus with, and then sheathed it back onto his trench coat. He then looked around and noticed that Zenshin and Frederik had completely disappeared, he looked around and then down at Ukan, “Did you see where they went off to Ukan…?” The shrunken Wyvern simply shrugged and to which Kihia let out another sigh, “Say Kihia… whats that on your head?” Kihia then cocked his head then finally noticed the raven sitting on his head which in turn made his right eyebrow twitch… “I guess she found the portal… Ukan get back on the Ikarones…” At this Ukan’s jaw dropped, “But I just got off that stupid thing!” Kihia didn’t wait to respond he picked up Ukan and then carried him into the Ikarones.

Before he fully entered he turned back to Ryo, “You can join me on board if you would like… If you don’t want to I understand… just enter into the portal before I do…” Kihia would then wait for a moment for Ryo’s response and then wait appropriately if he did so choose to board the Ikarones. Kihia would then walk up and hang his trench coat on the back of the pilots seat and then take the seat himself. “Icer, prepare for soft lift off and hovering I am going to have to carefully fly through that portal or else we may lose a few things…” The back hatch would then close and the gang plank would also withdraw into the ship. “Understood Sir Kihia,” The ship’s magic engines would then form under the craft and the arm rests of the pilots seat would open up revealing two glowing magic lacrimas.

Kihia placed both of his hands over each of the Lacrimas and used the pedals to adjust the altitude as he then piloted the Ikarones over a few buildings and over the street where the raven was guiding them, I hope this ship can be of some use to us… Either by use of a transport or the additional artillery the ship could help us at some point…. Kihia then lowered the ship just above the street and waited once more incase Ryo happened to not get on board and entered in before him. Kihia would then angle the ship forward just a bit, using the two lacrima on the arm rests to maintain the angle of the ship as it slowly hovered towards the portal, at such a speed that anyone on the other side could get out in enough time… “I wonder… what kind of world this is…. And what is it we are exactly supposed to expect here…” The Ikarones then slowly flew through the portal, the massive girth of the ship barely managing to fit through it…

Ryo carefully stood and watched the ground and the skies for any sign of more demons for him to fight. Thankfully there wasn't any. It seemed that all of the demons were dead and gone, and that was nothing but a good sign. He looked at Gora frowning as he ws chewing on one of the demons "Gora spit that out right now!!" The great Hound turned his head following the order he had been given "You don't need to yell at me." he whined softly as he moved closer to the card mage. Ryo smiled and pet Gora's great snout nodding his head "I know I'm sorry, but you shouldn't eat demonic flesh it could be bad for you."

However the call from Zenshin followed up by the call from Frederick were enough to catch his attention. He couldn't help but smile to himself having heard Frederick call for him. He took it as a very small victory in winning the friendship of the dark mage which in reality was something that he did want being that they were in the same guild together and what not. He looked at Kihia who seeemed to have some kind of raven following him and then he smiled as he jumped up onto Gora's back "We need to follow frederick and the Mistress." He looked to Kihia who had extended an offer to come aboard his flying craft. Ryo smiled and tipped his hat "Thank you very much Master Kihia. However I must pass Gora doesn't handle vehicles very well and I won't make his woozy before a battle. I shall press on." he would still show respect to the Lamia Scale guild master. He was a master of a guild and as such he was one deserving of respect. He then looked down at Gora smiling "Let's go partner." With that Gora gave a loud bark of acknowledgement "We will see you inside the portal then." Ryo called as the great wolf bounded after Frederick at an incredible speed.

It didn't take him very long to get to the portal. He stopped and looked at the big red thing that was called a portal. He sighed as he gently pat Gora's side and looked back at Kihia coming in his strange flying machine. He shrugged as he looked at the portal again with a smile "Well Gora it is now or never we have to help Mistress Raven." He said. Gora nodded in agreement "Where you go I go." he reassured the mage on his back, and with that they bounded through that great Red portal together arriving with the others and just staring out in amazement and horror at the world they had just found themselves in. Ryo glanced over at his guild mistress with a soft smile clearing his throat nervously "Uh. Well welcome home Mistress Raven." he said a bit nervously unsure of whether or not it was the right thing to say, or if he had just said something incredibly foolish.

    Quoth The Raven [job] H3x7l4D

“Oh you guys made it,” Raven was quick to notice her party members entering through the portal one by one. The small bird she had left them with came flying towards her first, cawing in a way that it felt he was complaining to her about something. “No one but Kihia noticed you?” she asked the lamenting black bird, chuckling at the way it animatedly pointed at Zenshin and Fred. “There there…you were too special for their eyes anyway,” she comforted it, laughing when it finally huffed and disappeared into a few black feathers. ‘The things I see and hear everyday’ she sighed, shaking her head with a smile.

“Ahh… I never thought I would ever be back here,” she talked about it out loud, knowing very well the others can hear her. “Alright, so here is the plan. You see that castle up in front of us? I believe it’s very difficult not to notice. Well, that used to be my castle and now it’s Ikaros’. That’s where we need to be at,” she told the rest, pointing at the black, gloomy looking, tall structure she knew rather too well. “Getting there won’t be too easy. It will be even more difficult if you can’t fly. I suggest using the ship Kihia bought along. We might even encounter enemies along the way if I’m not wrong about Ikaros managing to bring all the dead ravens back to life. Be careful,” she warned them one last time before flying off ahead of them but not putting more than three meters between her and the team.  She didn’t want to be separated from the others since she was the only one who knew the raven world like the back of her hands.

“Someone whoever that is piloting it to follow me. I’ll be surprised if no demon notices us with that ship,” she exclaimed, turning her head just enough to look at the others.  “So, what do you guys think of my home? It used to be a lot better …the sky wasn’t as dark as it is now. There used to be a time when all those demons you fought used to live happily here. Everything just came crashing down when my father was killed. He was the only one who could manage this place. Even I couldn’t…” she sighed, throwing her hands back to make it seem as if talking about the past didn’t bother her as much.

“When this is all over, I’ll treat you guys to anything back in the guild,” she smiled, spinning with her wings tucked towards her. When she spotted a group of ravens not too far away from the group, Raven wasn’t surprised at all. “Looks like someone knows we are here already. Uhh I wonder why he wants to see me so eagerly now,” she was obviously referring to Ikaros. The ravens seemed to stop for a second, almost as if they recognized their rightful ruler. It still didn’t change the fact that they were controlled by someone else now.

“I’m sorry. I can’t afford to hold back”.

Post by King Zenshin 30th May 2015, 5:46 pm

"This place feels so melancholic, Raven" he said, looking around the place in awe. Which isn't necessarily a good thing he thought, examining the landscape that appeared after successfully entering the portal. Portal travel always gives me a bit of a headache for some reason, but everyone else seems to be fine. Good he thought while rubbing his head and looking around. All of his team mates made it alright as well as any companions they had brought. Hell, even Kihia brought his huge ship through the transporter. Zenshin looked up and saw that clouds littered the sky, making the landscape seem drab and dark, as if it as been drained of like. He was sure that Frederick enjoyed it though, as this whole aesthetic was right up his alley.

His mental image and the actual place of Raven's home world wasn't too far off. That is to say, the disparity between what he imagined to be this ruined area that was once lush isn't too different from a lifeless, sunless realm that was once beautiful, according to Sabertooth's guild master. He believed her, as there wasn't really any reason not to, but he couldn't quite picture a place like this being one full of sunshine and chipper birds flying through the skies and greeting whomever they passed by cheerfully. "I'm sure if anyone can save it it's us" he said, trying to cheer Raven up. She seemed a little down, most likely from seeing her homeland in a complete mess, knowing that she was the one that caused it to be destroyed to begin with.

That didn't mean he wasn't cautious. Zenshin was actually being very careful around her and no one else, trusting that she didn't run a guild of mages that wouldn't back stab him at whatever chance they got. The only other magically inclined person that he was a bit cautious around was Kihia, mostly because he wasn't from Sabertooth and was absent minded. If he wouldn't betray them, Zen didn't have doubts that he'd make some kind of easily avoided blunder that could get them all killed. He shook his head at the thought, paying more attention to what was happening now rather than the inevitable possibility of someone making some kind of deadly error that would cripple the whole party. It was only natural that something like that would happen in a job of this size, after all. The Knight squinted his eyes and looked forward towards the horizon and saw what he could only describe as... "Raven... people?"

That definitely confused him, but right behind them was a murder of those foul creatures that had ambushed them in the Desert Village. "This is serious, isn't it?" he said, tightening one side of his mouth to signify his disappointment. The Recreationist was hoping that he could savor the fights he'd be having along with Raven and the rest of the crew, but it was looking like they'd have to take their enemies out as quickly as possible. The scythe he was holding glowed brightly for a moment before shifting in size and shape, the blade growing as well as the shaft to form the next weapon in the line, The Hope. An area around him lit up blue, like the glow of his transformed weapon. "Whoever is best at dealing with those things one on one follow me, the rest of you can take out those dammed birds that love to travel in flocks" he said, rushing forward towards one of the raven humanoids.

Sure, they were probably human once, or at least looked that way, but those times were over and they threatened the safety of his group. It may not have been morally right, but it was definitely just to end them, and that was all Zenshin cared about. He slid with the arch of the blade against what used to be ankles, now simply feathery growths on the bottom of long black bones. His Hope cut right through, they're not too fast he thought before spinning quickly counter clockwise while standing up and cutting it where its waste used to be, spilling its coal colored demon blood all over the dead grass and his coat. What a mess

Quoth The Raven [job] Empty Re: Quoth The Raven [job]

Post by Godlike Frederik 1st June 2015, 7:17 am

The land that once could have been beautiful, was now tainted with an emptiness and darkness that made Frederick actually remind him a bit of his former home. Namely Savage Skull, one of the most notorious dark guilds Fiore has ever known. And a place where darkness reigned, even in the daily life of the guild. Everything there was bleak and dark as well, only less spacious off course.

The lands of Raven's kin was broken, you could feel it by just standing there. The sky was grim with dark clouds. Just like the sky would be with a thunderstorm, only without the actual thunder and lightning.
Any other colors the land could have seemed to be faint, like as if it was mixed with a tad of grey. The vegetation was slim to barely none, and didn't seem to be able to provide anything like a flower. Or anything to be substantial enough to could be even considered as an actual plant.
All together it was hard to believe that this place was one beautiful in any way.

'Feels familiar...' Frederick spoke softly, barely hearable. But those who did, and knew enough about him, knew what he was referring to.

In the distance was a giant formation, something rather familiar as well. It's silhouettes seemed to be a constant similarity between the two worlds, as it could only be recognized as a castle. A big one at that.
And just as Frederick suspected, Raven confirmed it as her former home. Which was now inhabited by Ikaros.

'Splendid...' he said sarcastically 'and how do you imagine we get up there huh?'

Almost immediately he got his answer, which was flying that dreaded ship this Kihia fellow brought with him. Sure it was their only way up, but if it was just as Raven said. The enemy would surely be upon them if they flew with the ship. And if it could be brought down, it would mean that they would plunge to their death with a several hundred feet fall. Which off course was rather troublesome as Frederick wasn't planning on dying any time soon.

'You sure there isn't an other way to...'

Before he could finish his own answer they got interrupted by a familiar sound. Just like at the desert village a eerie screeching was to be heard. Followed by the flapping of wings, as a flock of ravens along with the same demon creatures they'd encountered before. Came straight at them. With every vile intent that Ikaros could have for them.

'great... we have been noticed already'

Zenshin took the initiative and countered the Raven Demons head on, suggesting that if someone felt up to it to join him in this endeavor. Something that Frederick didn't feel much for, no instead he focussed on the flock of birds that were also upon the mages. Ravens that just like the demon versions of them, were brought back from their eternal slumber and were now minions to do everything Ikaros wanted them to.

Frederick conjured up the same darkness as before, deep from within himself. And let it materialize around him, it would swirl around him for a bit till it got a velocity that was fast enough to be shot out towards the flock of Ravens and take them by surprise, for how much that was possible. Enough so as Frederick was pretty sure his attack took out two of them.

Post by Kihia 1st June 2015, 6:02 pm

Kihia looked out the windows into the gray expanse of the broken landscape that was Raven’s world, the sight of it made him sad for some reason. “Icer… open up the external Mic Lacrima… I don’t really have a place to touch down….” There was a small confirmation beep as Raven had started to speak, Kihia looked up at the Large floating landmass that had an entire castle floating on top of it. Kihia frowned, not just because of the gloom, He sensed the overwhelming aura of Demons. He then heard Raven’s suggestion to use the Ikarones as transport for those who cannot fly, although she then eventually commented on how easy it would be able to detect the ship.

This made Kihia smile, Even if they did notice the Ikarones… they wouldn’t be able to do anything about it… For this ship as much as she looks she is only built for speed… can hold her own even without me at the helm… Kihia then continued to listen to Raven as he started to turn the ship to the left and open up the rear door, she had then flown ahead a few meters and said she would treat them to anything at their Guild, Kihia chuckled, he wasn’t sure if he would be up for that, Ukan then groaned, “When Can I get off this blasted thing….” Kihia looked at him out of the corner of his eye and smiled, “Hang in there Ukan… I will be sure to trea-“ Kihia was then cut off when The others warned of enemies that had already spotted them, He saw Zenshin and Frederik Engage them, Zenshin favored to engage them once again in close range and Frederik engaged them at range with a similar spell from before.

“Icer… it’s time to show them what you can do… Deploy the twin barreled turrets… then lock onto the incoming enemies…”
On the outside Three turrets folded out of both sides and the top of the ship as two barrels extended out and then trained on the incoming enemies, “Icer…. Show them why you are a spear head of your own accord… with the capability to pierce through the thickest of shields…” He then pressed a button as the two Lacrima’s on the arm rests lit up red, Kihia then lifted both hands as three Lacrima Displays appeared in front of him, they then showed the areas the turrets were facing.

Each turret then turned and faced six different enemies, four Undead ravens and two Raven demons, “Targets locked Sir Kihia, No Allies are near these specific Enemies…” Kihia then nodded and then quickly tapped each enemy on the screens he had in mind from the lot Icer helped pick out, “Open…fire” At that second the three twin barreled turrets fired one shot from each barrel directing at each of their respective targets, each one managed to hit home knocking each enemy back and making them fall down below the islet they were currently situated in, “It doesn’t matter if they spot us… We will be able to shoot them down before they can do anything…”

Ryo stared at the world in Awe. He didn't think he would need his sunblocking clothes here and would be perfectly fine if he were to move about more freely. Still he couldn't believe what he was seeing this world looked like it was either dead or dying. It caused him to feel immense sorrow for his guild mistress. This was her home and it was nothing but a shade. It was as if it was a shadow that had yet to realize that the one casting it had perished.

Gora looked up to his rider and whimpered "This place looks sick. It looks sad and miserable...Did the Mistress really used to live here? I feel so bad for her." Ryo pat the great wolf shaking his head as he listened to Raven speak of this place as if it hadn't always appeared this way. At this point Ryo could only believe her and nod his head lightly smiling down at Gora "I knew this wasn't how it always looked. Just relax Gora we will find out what caused this I'm sure." The Great wolf didn't seem to take heart in that statement, but he decided not to say anything further. Still despite this bit of information the discussion that they would both have to fly in order to reach the castle and that would prove a bit of a problem. Ryo had only two spells that would allow him to fly up to that palace, but he knew that he wouldn't be able to lift Gora with him even if he himself could fly. He looked over to the great ship and gently pat Gora on the head "I'm sorry boy, but you have to go inside. Be nice to Master Kihia and his companion. You don't want to make the rest of Sabertooth look bad." He said as he jumped down looking at the wolf with a smile as he shrunk down to normal wolf size nodding his head and walking into the ship. No sooner had he climbed on board than the demons began an attack.

It looked to him like both Zenshin and Frederick would be able to handle things, but when the cannons on the ship began to fire and did some impressive firing. Ryo tsked as he watched the display there were still a pair of demons that weren't engaged and the four remaining ravens as well. He smirked as he drew his cards eight in total in his right hand. He chuckled as he picked only four and tucked the others away moving two to his left hand while both left and right hands grabbed three more cards a piece, but these were simple playing cards. He looked around and smirked to himself "Well I can't let these guys up show me. Time for a magic trick." He put his hands together and sighed as he activated his gloves but he held his hands so close together that they floated evenly between all of them. He moved the cards from his right hand to form a circle and the cards from his left to form a star "Flaming Projectiles..." The cards in the star form shot out through the circle but they were clearly surrounded by tiny flaming tornadoes the cards in the circle shot out in their pattern as well covered in the same strange flames. After a moment the ten cards burst and formed into twenty cards. All of these flaming tornadoes had elements of wind and fire and created a hail that the Ravens simply couldnt' escape the remaining raven's falling from the sky burning alive as they did so. The demon's however suffered greatly, but were still capable of fighting and flying still coming towards the troupe.
