Being a mage, Thorn should be going on jobs and exploring the beautiful cities of Fore, yet here she was, in the Savage Skull's guild hall, with her head laid on the wooden desk. The female was bored out of her mind. She couldn't find a job that would suit her, another reason for her not going on a job being, she simply is very lazy. The girl shut her eyes and groaned. "Ugh....There's nothing to do." She raised her head and sat in a proper position, looking at her pet sap tiger JD. She was just sitting there playing with a soft little ball. How is that he never gets bored? She always finds something to do. Having a plan in mind, Thorn bent down and poked the young creature, "JD, wanna play a game?" The young tiger's eyes lit up at the mention of the word 'game'. She left the ball and stood up, looking at Riley with an excited expression, "Go to the request board and pick out any job. Whatever job you choose, I will have to accept it." The black haired girl could feel her pet smirking but didn't say anything.
This would be entertaining. Let's see which job she chooses. She watched the young tiger race to the big board and taking his time looking at the flyer, as if he could read. Riley suddenly found the wooden table more fascinating as she stared at it and the ting pieces that stuck out. Soon she felt a tiny presence next to her foot. Looking up, her eyes came in contact with JD's. In his mouth, he held a paper. Grabbing the sheet, the girl began reading. The flyer was sent from a kid who was getting bullied. He needed someone to scare away that bully for him. Sounded simple enough.
It didn't take the female long to reach Magnolia. This was one of her favorite places and a place where she often hung out. The location given was a school. Thorn was sure she had seen that school somewhere. It took her a while to remember and when she did, she raced off with JD to that place. She was right, she had seen this school before, Walking in, she looked at the flyer once again. It said that the boy would be waiting, more like getting bullied, in the school backyard. He mentioned that this was the place where the bully usually bullies and harasses him. Walking around the school, she finally reached the backyard. The information was correct. Her Green eyes landed on a kid sprawled on the floor. Towering him was another kid, who seemed more bulky and built. The bulky boy cracked his knuckled. Seemed like bullying was taking a quick turn into something much worse.
As the bulky boy pulled his arm back, about to land a punch on the others face, Thorn moved. The young boy on the floor covered his face in defense. As soon as his arm leaped forward in order to land a punch, the black haired female stepped in and caught his hand, "Now, now, children shouldn't be fighting." She said quite sweetly, The boys face scrunched up, "Who are you? you old hag." Thorn's jaw was on the verge of dropping to the ground. Many a times, she had been called a child, but never an old hag. "Eh....gh...." She was clearly shocked but managed to compose herself, "What did you just say?" She asked, eerily calm. "An old hag, you are an old hag. Now, get out of my way you old lady."
The black haired female clenched her fist, "You sure talk a lot for a little brat." To that he stuck his tongue out at Thorn, which pissed her off even more. "Kid, mess with people your own age, will ya? Or you'll get into a lot of trouble." She was grinding her teeth in order to prevent herself from yelling at this kid. He's just a child, she shouldn't lose control like that. The kid looked at her before punching her in the gut. "Ha, deal with that old lady. i told you to get out of the way." To Thorn, the tiny attempt of punching did not make a difference, She had been through worse, but what angered her was the face that he attempted to harm her. She was literally twitching in anger. She could feel her hands getting cold, as ice started to form around them, "Call me a hag again and that will be the last time you call anyone, anything." She growled through her clenched jaw.
The little brat saw the ivy forming around her hand and stared at her with frightened eyes. "I-i'm s-sorry." He managed to stutter out before turning away and running, tripping half the way. The ivy quickly disappeared from her hands as she turned around to see the little boy standing with JD, observing as the scene took place, "Hey are you okay?" The boy simply nodded. Thorn held up the flyer, "I actually came here to help you." The boy's eyes widened as a gin crept onto his lips, "Thank you so much." He started shuffling things in his pockets before taking out a bag and giving it to Thorn. She gratefully accepted it as he bowed. With a goodbye, she was headed back to the Savage skull guild hall.
