The city of Talonia, an area that holds a banquet of festivities unlike what the neutral zone has to offer. A stream of people dash back and forth, the sun rises and the air grew warmer. In a market not far from the Talonia arena, a stranger whose appearance was masked by clothes makes his way towards the battlefield. A few days ago, an invitation was sent to the guild he is part of, it was something more of an advertisement and if a participant were to come, they must bring the very letter sent to them. The letter was easily under the possession of this stranger and have it hidden it from the rest of his guildmates. The desire to participate in such battle wasn’t all just for the sake of glory.

No… The intention was to regain the thrill of combat of the field, for the man who holds the letter was but once a veteran of war, was born for it and was made for it, to smite his foes down on the ground and the feeling that comes when neither him nor his opponent allows dominance is a common one. There was but one reason he was so willing to fight in this battle and that is to prove that a mage doesn’t generally need magic in order to win a battle to defeat his foes, if ever by chance does he fail to do so, proves how weak he can be by simply relying on it himself.

Steps brought him closer to the arena entrance; its structure consists of a lobby for registration, a huge ring for the spectator’s seats and a solid arena that sits in the middle of what it seem to be like abyss, closer look reveals that it was just water with a dark hue, one would rather not question how water got so black.

The lobby was just ahead as the stranger was next in line, he passed down the letter that was sent to his guild, proving that he was an invited mage to fill in the queue. As the receptionist prepares for his registration, she asked this stranger for his ring name. Not much thought was put into his ring name but it was as simple as it can be.

“Ok D, your slot number is 64, you’re on the C section list.” The receptionist said as he redirected D to the lobby where he’ll meet his potential opponents.

The lobby was filled with warriors of various appearances; one of those was wyvern, the Champion of last year who is seen talking to his relatives. He is one of the few individuals who are expected to win this tournament, however circumstances may change. Tagas, the man who was beaten by Wyvern looks forward to challenging Wyvern again as the smell of battle hunger grips from him. There’s of course another shady character cloaked in red, chuckling at the sight of Tagas who’s walking towards Wyvern.

A conversation begins between them and the stranger is all ears to eavesdrop on the conversation.

“So Wyvern.. ha ha it seems you’re entering again this time? Ever since you broke my winning streak, I’ve trained ten times as hard just so that I can finally have your blood on my fists!

Wyvern snarked in response: “Well if you’re ready Tagas, I’ll show you everything I got this time and don’t expect me to you either!”

Wyvern offered a handshake to Tagas and smiles, Tagas accepts the handshake offer with a grin.

“Let’s make this a bit more interesting shall we?”

On another corner are a few women who looked like they were investigators, whereas one of them was worried about the match up. The one that was worried was Cam since they are both fighting on the same block. Chun, the woman who’s accompanying Cam is her bestfriend and told her that no matter what happens, they must give everything they got regardless of the opponent they face and never back down.

Then the stranger named D notices a man hiding behind cover watching Wyvern closely full of angst and hate, thinking why someone like Wyvern had to be Kouken’s favorite pupil? Just the thought of it infuriates him as he looks at everyone with such hostile intent.

Balrog who’s one of the contenders of the tournament approached the stranger D as he makes his introduction. “My name is Balrog, at your service! So you also choose to mask your face eh? Must be because you have an ugly face to hide, whereas mine… No one is worthy to see the magnificent face of Balrog! Someone as ugly as you won’t last long in this round! Someone who’s probably UGLY!”

“Tch, don’t listen to that man, he cares about no one but himself.” A man who’s fitted to be a boxer shows up and walks to the stranger. “My name is Mike Bison, and you are?”

There’s no response from D but the boxer continues to try and make a conversation.

“Man of few words huh? I suppose your name would be D from the registration list right?” The conversation was cut as a warning tone echoed throughout the lobby.

Attention to all participants! Matchmaking has finished!

Road Fighter: Mediocrity even in this corner 300?cb=20150804164439

    Opponent: Balrog

The results are finally in, The Stranger D is up against the opponent he met a few moments ago, Balrog the Ninja. Having to look upon the board Balrog immediately pointed his claws to him. “It is a pity that you will have to stage against me, you should be fortunate to be defeated at my hands, fighting me is a higher privilege than privilege! Unmask yourself and expose who you really are! Whether you’re ugly or not, in the end you’ll see me standing!”

Since their duel won’t be held right away, Stranger D’s response was nothing more than a simple bow, not a word slip through his lips causing Balrog to assume that he’s a submissive type character. Opposites actually do attract, one who held vanity and one who doesn’t are about to clash soon. The stranger D left the Talonia arena temporarily only to witness a scene of someone trying to mug a young teenage girl, a hideous appearance or that is what Balrog commented as he showed up from above the building. As soon as the mugger turned, he was immediately skewered by his claws, causing his victim to fall down to the ground and die. Stranger D and the young teenage girl were the only witness to such actions. The little teenager decided to run and scream at the sight of such uncalled murder of her predator.

“The heart and soul are meaningless to me, I believe only in my beauty.” He said as he turned around to point his claws at Stranger D once again. “Don’t you think so? After all only those who are beautiful are of worth in this world and those who are scum and dirt shall be purged, you are once again blessed by my presence but I do believe it is time for us to start our battle and before we do.. let me uncover who you are.”

Not a word escaped stranger D’s lips as he turned away to head back to Talonia arena. Balrog sees this however as an insult and jumped a few feet above Dubhlainn only to scratch off the mask he’s wearing only to reveal that Balrog’s opponent…

Has no face of his own.

“How sad, I can see why you choose to wear as such, now I know I will not lose to a nobody like you.” He commented as he jumped from wall to wall, making his way back to Talonia Arena first before him.

Ladies and gentleman! Introducing once again one of the first duels of the Talonia Arena! Fighters please step forward! On the left corner, the mask man who represents true beauty, Balrog! And on the right corner coming to the stage now, he’s a mysterious newbie known by only one letter! D!

Majority of the crowd cheers for Balrog, although despite being an overly narcissistic man, he did earned some fame and respect among the crowds as he relished the moment in all his glory. D did the opposite as he cared less about having supporters in this fight. D removed his shady cloak only to reveal himself wearing a suit and at that point everyone was shocked to see that the stranger D is faceless. The crowd gasp in confusion, wondering who this D really was and why doesn’t he have any face?

    Ready.. FIGHT!

Alas it begins, Balrog vs. the Faceless D. The first move was of course made by Balrog himself as he spun around the Faceless man in circles. Seeing him stand there made Balrog thinks that attacking would lead to a trap. He jumped over landing a bit closer to the faceless man just to get a reaction out of him as he jumped away a few meters. The reaction the faceless had was nothing short of having to face the direction where Balrog was and made a step backward. The faceless D has come to realize that Balrog’s style of fighting was that of a Ninja. Having acknowledged that, he began popping his fists that tells Balrog that he’s ready to fight or rather defend himself.

“I see you’re not scarred, perhaps defeating you in one strike may not make the most glorious victory I’d have and if so fight me in earnest and allow me to paint a wonderful portrait on the canvas!” This time he dashes delivering quick strikes around the faceless stranger who was slow to react. The marks he left on faceless D’s Ribs caused some bleeding to both sides. “Too slow!” It was a perfect attack made by Balrog but however this time, the faceless one knows how fast Balrog is and must match to that skill. The opening attack he’s going to make is simply just by running right at him. Balrog then backflipped for a moment to make it look like he was retreating only to have jumped up higher, spinning at 360 degrees, his left claw poised to strike at the faceless but to his surprise, the man saw this one coming. The Faceless ducked and as soon he dodged Balrog’s deceitful attack, he kicked his foot to angle his body to swiftly lunge right at Balrog before he’d hit the ground. His fist met with Balrog’s chest and sent him across the arena and over the edge. Balrog would have fallen if not for having to grip the ringside.

He massaged his chest, trying to absorb the blow he took from him. “You’ll be seeing red once I’m done with you!”

In order to defeat Balrog, Faceless D must account into three things: The first is how fast he goes, his moveset is executed quickly and its possible that he can prove to be trouble if not careful, second is disarming his claw that would definitely reduce his damage to him, third the unpredictability, a factor that is yet hidden in his opponent to which anything can happen, until faceless D is certain of Balrog’s battle style he will not commit, counter Balrog’s attacks and counter them when needed be.

Balrog dashed again towards faceless D only to have his feet hit the ground at striking distances which caused him to jump, performing the same move again. As D ducks and proceeds with his counter, Balrog unexpectedly double jumped and moved over to the side, having dodged D’s attack and striking him with another attack.

This however was simply unexpected but if this keeps up, he wouldn’t be able to fight in future battles and thus he must not make any more mistakes. Exhaling, D’s eyes are locked on to the image of Balrog, his sense grew sharper and the level of aggression rose. There was distance between them as the next instance starts with Balrog making a quick thrust, only for Dubhlainn to grab his arm and twist it, and thus using his elbow to break his.

“GRRRRR!!!!” It did quite the damage on him as Balrog countered with a spinning kick. His left arm is now disabled, at least for the meantime. To Balrog it was searing pain and felt like it was about to tear off. Such pressure on the elbow made him think. “Who the hell is this guy….” But it didn’t stop there, as Balrog backed away, the faceless stranger dashed to quickly, surprisingly Balrog and catching him off guard completely while his left arm is injured. He grabbed his skull and beat it to the ground, once more he stepped on the narcissist’s skull, causing him to break his mask and expose his face. As he passed, the faceless grabbed Balrog’s legs only to slam his body from left to right. He was surprisingly strong and was able to do this 6 times causing him to fall on the ground and the next thing he did was break both his knees, leaving only one limb able.

The truth was that it was hard to watch Balrog be beaten this way. The faceless man pinned him to the ground and started punching him 6 times, afterwards he threw him across the ring. “Monster… that monster took away…. Monster…” As he fell unconsciously.

The reason why Balrog lost was that he had too much confidence into defeating stranger D, his ability of course blocks a mage’s natural sensory in order to scale their magic. Because of this Balrog got confused and underestimated him.

    Current hitpoints: 160.6
    Balrog: 2/200

    Persistent effects:
    20% bonus damage
    20% reduced damage

    Balrog’s damage: 9.6
Dubhlainn’s Damage: 186 (Disarming his limbs and taking advantage of his weakness)

Road Fighter: Mediocrity even in this corner Dan

    Opponent: Hibiki

There goes with a saying that overconfidence may become the ultimate downfall of every great fighter in the ring, Balrog was one of them. It was a miracle that he isn’t dead, not after having broken and lost all three of his limbs at once. Everyone has come to a conclusion that Stranger D is a force to be reckon with, underestimate him and you’ll pay a high price. Now all eyes are on this faceless man as he left the arena without another word. As the last of the first preliminary rounds comes to a close, the second preliminary matches are now in. His next opponent was a man called Hibiki, a strange fellow he was, as the stranger D viewed the board, Hibiki appeared behind him, and exaggeratedly strike a pose. “I Hibiki, one of the top fighters will smite thee! AND DON’T EVER FORGET THE NAME WHEN I BEAT YOU TO THE GROUND, UNLIKE THAT FOOL BALROG, I AM MUCH MORE THAN WHAT YOU BARGAINED FOR PAL!”

Detective Chun and Cam passed by, as they finished their warm ups and exercises.

“Don’t be an idiot Hibiki, you wouldn’t even last 2 minutes in the ring with Balrog last year.”

“S-shut UP! IT WAS ALL A FLUKE AND I WASN’T IN PERFECT CONDITION!!” Hibiki exclaimed.

“Yeah right.” Chun snorted as she took Cam with her in order to gain a seat to the early matches. Hibiki exhaled in anger, making him look like an enraged ape. “I’ll show you… I’LL SHOW YOU ALL THAT I HAVE CHANGED AND I WILL BEAT THIS PUNK SO BAD HE’D BE DOWN ON HIS KNESS!!” As Hibiki was about to turn to the faceless man, he was long gone.

“Tch… where did he.. “ As Hibiki was dumbfounded of where the Faceless D disappeared to, the crimson colonel stepped down from a flight of stairs before him, almost as if a deity descended to heed his trouble. “You wanted to take that man down don’t you?” The crimson colonel asked as he smirked at the sight of Hibiki.

“Your confidence deludes you but you must admit that he’s not one to be underestimated even I see him as a threat.” Hibiki turned at the sight of colonel, surprised that even he was forced to say he was a threat. “W-well what do you have in mind? Are you gonna teach me something or?”

    “No… I’ve got a better idea.”

The Faceless D took a scenic route in Talonia as he gazed upwards the huge waterfall which was talonia’s main source of water supply. Unlike the waters found in Talonia, it was crystal clear and it was indeed safe to drink and just as he reached out his hand, reflexes have him catch a few darts coming at him from behind, however too late for he was shot by one of them. It was a paralysis dart that hinders his movement. It was an ambush as a few bandits sprung from their hiding places, emerging from the bush and zip lining down from the sides of the water fall. Dubhlainn was forced on one kneed to the floor as the bandits surrounded him. It was a well thought out plan; however it was the bandit’s mistake to even play with someone like him. Paralysis darts only last for minutes when it comes to someone like him.

At the last minute Hibiki run to find the Crimson Colonel wanting him to refuse his offer; however the colonel chuckled and told Hibiki that it was too late and that his plan was already in motion. After telling Hibiki what the plan was, Hibiki fell into a pit of guilt that he of all people would consort to aid with shady tournament participants. As he was about to look for his opponent, it was finally time for his match to start. He was covered with sweat, knowing how bad the consequences maybe if anyone were to find out that he was involved with Crimson Colonel. The sight of Chun gave him only a small chance of hope as he rushed over to her. He wasn’t sure how he was able to say it but blurted out whatever words comes to mind. This left Chun confused and thus has him kicked into the arena. Faceless D was nowhere to be seen and the MC had already motioned him to come into the arena. Faceless D’s delay gave Chun a picture of what had happened to his opponent but however Chun didn’t care, if Faceless D showed up, Hibiki would be done for but if he knows him, he’s easy to be guilty.

The Crimson Colonel hides in shadow, gazing down on the arena, simply admiring the effectiveness of his plans.

The unexpected happened however as Stranger D managed to show up, unscathed. How was he able to withstand the heavy paralysis of the blow darts is quite a miracle, one dart is enough to poison a rhino and he's still on his feet. Traces of his magic proved to be evidence that it was in fact him. "I'm impressed, perhaps I should discipline the fools for their failure." The Crimson Colonel disappeared into the darkness of the halls, settling the problems with prejudice.

Ladies and gentleman! Introducing the next duel of the Talonia Arena! Fighters please step forward! On the left corner, the man blazing with passion and spirit, HIBIKI! And on the right corner coming to the stage now, the fighter with no face, D!

Hibiki stood as he noticed the way Strangder D walks, almost as if he were injured but the fact is that Stranger D has been struggling with his body to fight the paralysis. They were slow and heavy steps knowing how much the paralysis have taken its toll and without the proper medication, it will burden his performance in all his matches. To Hibiki, he thought that his opponent was ok and that the Crimson Colonel didn’t continue one with his plan but that was half true. Dubhlainn stands to endure the toxins as well as to focus fighting in the arena against Hibiki.

    Ready.. FIGHT!

Hibiki made the first move as he landed a direct punch right at stranger D, he didn’t even move and once more a kick and a spinning kick that pushed stranger D away. So far he was making progress but wondered why the opponent had taken hits and not do anything to fight back? Was he doing the same strategy as to what he did to Balrog? If so then Hibiki is in trouble or that’s according to what Chun thinks.

Its somewhere here… that energy cannot be mistaken…..

Hibiki taking advantage of the situation decided to give it all in one shot right directly at his head as he jumped high into the airand plummet down to strike D. That was his mistake reflexes acted much greater than the paralysis Stranger D is in as he stood up quick to land a heavy blow right at Hibiki’s stomach, causing him to puke out a mixture of saliva and digestive juice. Hibiki was incapacitated almost immediately but not to the point it would kill him rather he’d have trouble digesting food for a while.

The crowd and the referee were dumbfounded, that was it for the match, nothing else matter at this point and the stranger D soon realized one mistake.

He gone too far with that attack as he was in a state of caution and a high level of violent urges to seek and take out whatever is causing that energy he’s sensing. It was a miracle Hibiki recovered from that after the tournament, God bless his soul that recovery wouldn't be too much trouble for him.

Road Fighter: Mediocrity even in this corner Latest?cb=20150710011840

    Opponent: Masters

After the match, the results are in and stranger D proceeded to the mid games. The boards foretell of the upcoming matchings between fighters. The faceless man was up against a worthy opponent, his name is Masters who’s Wyvern’s childhood friend. As Stranger D leaves, Wyvern and his friend comes to the board to view their opponents, upon seeing the Faceless D, Masters already acknowledged his opponent and knows very well he isn’t someone to be underestimated. Master’s impression of the faceless D was somewhat strange and mysterious, what more it was mentioned to Balrog that he has a face, and magic is concealing it.

Masters spirit fired up as he knew he’s up against a unique opponent and unlike the previous ones last year. Seeing new faces in the tournament motivates him to fighter harder and never back down. As an opponent, Master’s stubbornness is a notable thing that Stranger D should put into account but he doesn’t know that.

Masters just doesn’t give up no matter how grim the situation is and perhaps that what both him and stranger D have in common, striving not to be some champion but to be the best they can ever be. Chun approached masters and gave him a warning to be careful of this opponent and it doesn’t seem that he is easy to take down no matter how well trained Masters is. There are hints of danger with that man but perhaps that’s what the letter D means? Who knows?

Though most would be drawn to curiosity perhaps it was curiosity is what almost got Hibiki killed so Masters decided to leave stranger D till the time of their fight. Stranger D however stood quietly across the lobby, simply observing everyone. A little boy lost his brass knuckles given to him by his uncle who’s a participant in the tournament; he left to look for it. Seeing this Masters couldn’t ignore the troubled child and asked him of his problem. Once he grasps the problem, he voluntarily helps the little boy find his small set of brass knuckles and once found he gave it to the kid, smiling and patting him on the head and telling him that he’d be a good fighter someday. Afterwords the boy has someone else to look up to, other than his uncle and thought of masters as a good person. When the time came for the match both Stranger D and Masters Shot glances at the other and separated as they headed to the pillars where they are cued to show up and walk on. The fight between two honorable warriors is about to begin.

Ladies and gentleman! Introducing the next duel of the Talonia Arena! Fighters please step forward! On the left corner, Masters! And on the right corner, FACELESS D!

The crowd cheered both fighters on, Wyvern cheered masters on as well as Cam and Chun in hopes that he defeat the faceless man and rid the tournament of this powerful and fearsome opponent. The little boy was there too, watching and rooting him on. Faceless D’s progress earned him some support from the spectators and for the first time he made a gesture, simply by landing his fist to his palm and cracking his knuckles. He’s come to an understanding that Masters is no easy opponent and must fight without much restraint.

The battle soon unfolds as two warriors who meet on the battlefield face off against one another. This is Talonia Arena, where legends are born.

    Ready.. FIGHT!

Both fighters made headway as they launched both of their attacks at each other. Their fists collided with the other, after landing; they both backed away as both walks over to each other’s opposite direction slowly with their stances up. This time the Faceless D made the first strike, dashing towards his opponent only to slam his fist down on the ground, causing him to jump up and make a hard kick, only to be blocked by D’s forearm. They are equally matched in skill and power as well as counter offensive and counter defensive. The block was made as Master’s used Ds fore arm to push himself up in the air and quickly executed the tornado kick to which he spun 3 revolutions that traveled a speed of 100 meters per second, which was the force. D was forced to block after having been so close. And on the last moment, D successfully managed to grab Master’s leg and pulled it straight down in order to slam him to the ground. However Masters used his fist to catch his body and twirled his feet in order to chop him off, causing D to move away.

“He’s not an easy opponent to get by, there’s only but a few openings but I keep on missing them.” Masters thought to himself. He must keep his guard up, after all he did beat Balrog. The cheers of the crowds were even louder as an exciting match was well done and underway by these two proud men.

The next instance of the fight begins with both of them exchanging blows. A standoff between two of the fiercest fighters in the tournament as each took three blows of the other and as a resort, D sweeped his feet to trip Master’s over, only to cause masters to jump backward. Master’s hands charged with energy as he unleashes a ball of hard fury, the wave motion Cannon as it fired right at the Faceless D. D charged in as he slide down under the shot and pushed himself up to land a heavy blow right at Master’s stomach and twirled around, using his elbow to strike Master’s head, who wedge down due to the sudden pain, his boot connected to his head and a finally kick to the back to shove him off.

As Faceless D walked over the weakened Masters, Masters charged his fist again and bursted upwards a fist of fury only for it to be stopped by one hand. It was impossible, how was it that this man was able to stop the dragon fist in just one hand? There’s just only one answer and that was that Master’s lack time to bring out the potential of the dragon fist itself, which is Kouken’s speculation. D knew he had to be quick if not, Masters will catch up and counter his attacks so the best course of action was to attack during the time Masters makes his which became quite effective.

D firmly gripped Master’s fist to the point of almost crushing it and twist his arm, causing quite an injury and punched masters again with a heavy blow to the face and sending him a few meters off. Dominance is once again ruled by the Stranger D but Masters isn’t going down without a fight, knowing how stubborn he can really be. How admirable for someone to still have the energy to stand and face him despite such conditions. As Masters was about to stand up, D already dealt a serious blow to the chest and kicked him to the ground.  Masters was able to get up with a surge of energy and ran towards him with his stubborn nature. There was only one way to stop Masters now without having to harm him as much as he did earlier, Stranger D prays that Master’s Body could be shut down with this technique.

    K E T A G U R I

A swift strike which is slightly improvised. Ketaguri is a technique used to completely stop an attack and send an opponent down on the ground but only this time, D striked a pressure point, completely immobilizing Masters and ending the match. Out of respect for the opponent he pulled Masters up and carried him back to the lobby.

Road Fighter: Mediocrity even in this corner 300?cb=20150322214800

    Opponent: Mike Bison

Mike Bison, a boxer by right but somewhat stronger than the usual boxer. He trains every day to be the best boxer around the world. He doesn’t use magic as he is someone who wants to prove who the better fighter is. Seeing how Masters was taken out  by an old fashion martial arts technique, made Mike very cautious of him and decided that he would be the most fitting opponent in the tournament.  He then decided to challenge stranger D, whoever lands the most punches in a span of a minute wins. It was quite a favorable sport even to him, as both Mike and D prepare themselves for the trial. The first one to go was Mike has he landed 75 punches that caused the sandbag to break, however D only got it at around 68 but didn’t get to break his. Mike Bison mocked D  for his  incapability and thus almost provoking stranger D but not a word escaped his lips as he simply bow down to the boxer in respect.

It was hard to tell how he truly feels since he concealed his face with magic. The boxer then threatened him to break the mask illusion and reveal his true appearance. D stopped for a moment and turned his head and nodded in response, looking forward to his attempt to do so. Not much of Dubhlainn’s abilities were revealed other than fighting capability he’s shown in the last few matches. The boxer might be in for quite a challenge but however for someone as strong as him he resorted to precautionary measures by simply wearing brass knuckles underneath his boxing gloves to give him an edge in this battle. Its fairly considered cheating but that’s just the thing, Bison would not even care and taking D out of this tournament is a standard and also an order from the Crimson Colonel.

As Masters came to, he was greeted by Kouken and Wyvern when he woke up. Having known he lost, he felt great disappointment as he was taken out by such a simple move but what really caught Kouken’s eye is that the faceless man is well versed in striking pressure points, causing some parts of the body to shut down temporarily. Before the fight begins Masters made a request to Wyvern, asking him to take the faceless man down, Wyvern of course acknowledges this and is more than willing to do so. If Masters can’t beat him maybe Bison or Wyvern can.

Kouken commented that he’s just as dangerous as the Crimson Colonel and Tagas altogether, it would be quite a treat to see Tagas, the Crimson Colonel and Faceless D in a triple threat match.

Ladyies and gentleman! Introducing the next duel of Talonia Arena! Fighters please step forward! On the left corner, the bull like pugilist, BISON!

The crowd cheers as Bison was called to the stand smiling and all confident as he directs his attention to the right corner where his faceless opponent would march forth. There was guarantee that he would win, not only did he best D in a box off but with his raw power and the brass knuckles hidden beneath those gloves, he’s going to crush Dubhlainn. Though what they both have in common is that they crush and smite their opponents regardless and they both don’t use much magic.

And on the right corner, the faceless executioner, D!!

Quite amusing that his introduction titles keep on constantly changing but perhaps that was because the MC assigned for the match keeps on changing. This fight is predicted to be no more than a Beartown Beatdown, both opponents hold advantages only one of them resorted to underhanded tricks.

    Ready.. FIGHT!

Bison slowly makes his approach as D does the same thing. Bison knew what he and D both had in mind as they are to greet by colliding each other’s fists and that’s what he wants to do. Unfortunately for him, the Faceless D doesn’t do the same tricks twice while being spectated by many others. Since Bison is a boxer, he took it as practice for his evasion. What Bison had in mind is that D will take him head on as he lands heavy blows from his boxing gloves that were rigged with brass knuckles but he thought wrong as he consorted to running around Bison, taunting him to strike has he feign charging right at him which indeed worked in his favor as Bison blew fist only to have missed and in response D kicked him only for Bison to block the attack. His gloves robbed him the ability of ever grabbing him and pinning him down to the ground, wearing the boxing gloves themselves is one huge disadvantage and weren’t suitable tools for this combat. It was known that the boxer could dash forward but only for them to be successfully avoided by stranger D all this time. Impatience drove him mad as he run to punch him only to missed once again, to a third party’s view D looked like he was running and playing Bison for a fool as he landed a fist to Bison’s head and kicked him off but not to a very far distance. If D were to comment, kicking bison would be the same as kicking a heavy animal, Bison’s feet were completely dug into the ground.

However D realizes that he isn’t doing much damage to his opponent as he should and evading all his attacks isn’t going to cut it, Bison is well prepared against agility based opponents and because of this Dubhlainn has to be careful, Bison doesn’t look the type to tire out so easily but so is D. Soon Bison had his opening to strike a fist at D only for it to be parried by Dubhlainn’s left hand. However such damage caused pain as he noticed how his left hand began to ache and because of such blow, it would probably be out of commission till the end of the duel. It’s to his acknowledgement that he’s using brass knuckles underneath the boxing gloves, the stimulus made D upset and was on the verge of becoming berserk just by such a hit but he has to remain calm and find another way to defeat him. If he attempts to strike the bulldozer, he’s just blocked his attacks or counters them with one of his own. It was like fighting a small fortress and the worst part of it is that he cannot use his weapons in this battle and must learn to fight his opponents barehanded and without them.

D stepped back and ultimately put such force on his leg sweep causing Bison to trip, landing a powerful kick right at his waist and sends him a distance away from him. This wasn’t over yet as he sprinted over to kick his head hard only for it to be evaded by Bison as he landed another punch right at D, D had to block it with his left forearm but the force of the punch sent him across the arena but landed perfectly. It has hard taking his blows but perhaps duking out with him would be very best. If he doesn’t give out his all, he will lose to mediocrity and it is the people he hates losing to.

D inhales and exhales as he focuses his energy on delivering a strong punch. He charged right at him only for Bison to be ready as D ran right at him. Bison gave it his all to deliver a heavy punch to his front only for D to slide beneath him and drag his legs. In order for Bison to stand firm and guard against a leg sweep, he had to root to the ground by putting one foot up front and another behind having them both to be slightly bent. It was perhaps the only opening D can exploit and as Bison fell on his stomach he punched the back of his head causing his face to smash to the ground.

He did not hesitate as he grabbed the boxer’s head and smashed it to the ground even harder as Bison suffered head injury. Crimson red spurts and drips, streaming down from his forehead to his eyes. With such brutality, the Faceless man carried the boxer on his shoulders and flings him down on the arena rail in an attempt to break his back. The boxer was nearly incapacitated as the pain on his back caused him to yell and tumble down back into the arena floor. There was just one thing that the faceless man hates worse than mediocrity is a scumbag who relies nothing but underhanded tactics to win. If he fights dirty, so should he. He prefers fighting under a handicaps and wins a handicap match under such conditions, having triumph over such is something he considers as a prized trophy. Just as the Faceless man was about to walk away, the boxer attempts to stand up, calling him out and claims that the match isn’t over till its over. Anymore action between them would result in severe consequences for the stubborn boxer. He wasn’t giving up without a fight and fight he did. His back is broken and his head is bleeding, he breathes heavily trying to absorb the pain inflicted on him and such determination to beat him down was quite a sight indeed.  The Faceless man agrees and it would only take one hit to take down the other, he prepares a stance and waits for the Boxer’s final stand. The boxer stands firm once more putting all his strength into his last attack, a powerful dash made by the boxer almost as if he was hovering a few inches of the ground. He was about to lose consciousness but it was an all or nothing attack and as the distance close, the eyes of the spectators watch with anticipation as the battle comes to a good conclusion. Bison strikes his fist forward only to blocked once again by the same left hand the Faceless D used which is supposed to be unusable. This time Faceless D didn’t budge and strike an uppercut using his right hook and sent Bison flying up into the air, turning to kick him back as the boxer tumbles and rolls on the ground, defeated but not dead. Faceless D however admits that the boxer could have been a powerful opponent if only he wasn’t so dependent of his fists.

An adversary but a foolish one, Faceless D thought to himself.

Road Fighter: Mediocrity even in this corner 300?cb=20150611104034

    Opponent: Chun Li

Stranger D's next opponent is Chun Li, an official detective of Interpol which is stated in her affiliation but what is someone like her doing in an underground tournament like this? Regardless of who she is, its D's interest to put her abilities to the test. Upon first meeting her was around the lobby where she approached him for D to answer her inquiry.

"I may not know who you are but I think its unfair for you to conceal your identity, unless you're working for Vega." It would be rude not to answer her as she seemed to be a reasonable woman, surprisingly D voiced out"I work alone." It was all that he ever said and left without another word. As his encounter with Chun ends, Wyvern makes his approach to Chun, stoic and strong as ever, the serious expression on Wyvern's face heavily infatuated Chun, who's apparently like Wyvern to such degree.

"Chun I wanted to ask you this..."

What was Wyvern about to say? Will it be a confession to her? Chun's heart beat so fast that the suspense was starting to kill her internally, her ears poised, ready to listen the words that Wyvern was about to say.

"Do you..know if its really him? Vega's new guy?" And with that question completely shuts Chun down, as she assumed she'd be proposed to and instead Wyvern only wanted to ask about the mission Chun was talking about. There was a cause for concern as rumors say Vega hired a dangerous man in the tournament and the reason why Wyvern asked is because Stranger D could be him. Suspicions are raised around the Crimson Colonel, basically he could rig the tournament but there was something more behind the curtains, Chun just doesn’t know what it is yet. If Vega were to hire someone strong and dangerous then there must be something he’s hiding in the tournament. Masters of course was included in this investigation but help from him would now be limited thanks to his fight with the Stranger D.

The best Masters can do right now is search for suspicious areas in the Talonia Arena, he’s actually reluctant to contribute but Kouken keeps stopping him. Masters explained to Kouken that he really wanted to help but Kouken advised against it and if Masters really wants to help Chun and Wyvern, he must recover enough strength for it, otherwise no one would look after Masters in case something went wrong.

Chun shook her head in response to Wyvern’s question as her expectations of him blew down the drain. It was foolish of her to think that males like Wyvern would understand how some women feel and she was no exception to that. “I’m not so sure, he did say he’s working alone but for all I know it could be a lie, anyways my match with him is coming up and I don’t want to keep my opponent waiting.” Chun huffed as she left to the arena.

“Chun… be careful on your match against this guy.” It was only by that sentence did her expectations of Wyvern returned as she smiled at his direction. “Well I’m no easy prey! I’ll make sure to kick his ass for Masters!”

Somewhere in the Arena, the Crimson Colonel who bears the name Vega stands from the spectator’s private stand, watching Cam Cam finish up her fight with another opponent. The sight of Cam’s battle made Vega apathetic as her usual fighting style doesn’t seem to change. A few hours ago he dealt with the assassins that attacked the faceless stranger and had failed to do so but if it were true and that they administered poison into the faceless one’s body and yet he was still able to move concludes one thing and that was he wasn’t human. Knowing that Chun and the Faceless man were about to face up puts a smile on his face. “Heh.. Interesting weaken him for me Chun.. he will be a great tool and an asset once I’ve dealt with him. Balrog and Bison were fools but now that someone like him, an inhuman capability that can even resist paralysis stands within my presence, I will see to it that he’d serve a greater purpose in my plan.”

“Lord Vega a word… it’s a problem that might impact on your plans sir…”

    “What is it lackey?”

“Our readings arrived to the favored result however its just that the subject is…conscious.”

“!!! How early, are the procedures ready?”

“Already underway Sir but the subject is still unstable.”

“Hmmm it doesn’t matter but once I have dealt with that faceless man I’ll see to the subject’s condition personally if I have to, hold the experiment and keep them contained as long as you can, I rather not give it out till the last minute.”

“Yes Lord Vega, I wish you the best of luck.”

And now ladies and gentleman! The next fight will be against two of the greatest fighters in all of the arena, introducing CHUN LI! AND FACELESS D!

A BATTLE BETWEEN MARTIAL ARTISTS! WHO’S SHALL PROVE SUPERIOR TO THE OTHER!?

The dust before a battle, the Host makes the introduction splendidly as the colors of the crowds changed to the brighter in anticipation of the intensity that two of these fighters will perform. Both Chun and D are excellent fighters no doubt perhaps in a while it would be safe to say, a match much like with Ken Masters, she be one of those opponents that he’d be proud to face. Secrets shroud in mystery, curiosity over the other, muscles at the ready and thus…

    LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!!

Chun starts of charging at D  sliding down in an attempt to trip him down as D jumped overhead but that wasn’t it, Chun surprised D by kicking up in the air which D himself had blocked and landed successfully but only pushed back by the power of Chun’s legs.  Not only does she excel in beauty but well versed in martial arts. The two of them continued fighting on as Chun keeps on gaining the upper hand, she’s fast with her legs and she’s giving no chance for D to counter at all. It was a successful suppression on D as he can’t help but take several hits at once but it was the only way he could counter Chun as he took the blows like soldier he truly is, such fruit earned him favor as he grabbed Chun’s legs and put her down into a submission hold. D however was launched up into the air as Chun broke through his submission hold an immediately twirled 360 degrees to kick him at the rib.

It was one heck of a direct hit but a worthy blow that earned the crowd to her favor. She was one heck of an opponent and a privilege to fight against her on this sacred arena of champions. D made an impressive landing and recovery as he threw a barrage of punches which Chun blocked and evaded only to sweep D by the legs causing him to trip and fall, following it up by an attempted smash to the ground with her feet as D rolled away and jumped backwards.

“GO GET EM CHUN! KICK HIS ASS!” Shouted Cam from the sidelines.

With no hesitation as D backed away, Chun fired off a shot of the wave motion canon at Dubh, considering how slow it can be Dubh dodged it easily with his fast reaction time and started to sprint towards Chun again, when it seemed Dubh looked like he was about to deal a heavy blow with the fist he backed away one step and slid down. Chun expected D to actually go through with his punches and responded with a kick. “!!!” The moment D backed away it was already trouble for Chun as Dub slid down, causing her to trip. This time her technique was used against her but Chun rolled back by launching her legs upward till she is back on her feet again. Her leg techniques are something but this somewhat made her a little bit predictable and all that D needs is timing. Chun sprinted fast towards D, this time she was faster than D anticipated and slid sideways to kick his rib again then hopped away from striking distance as she plunges in and releases a barrage of kicks once more. Though D managed to block some of them he took a few hits then attempted to grab her legs again but the same trick won’t work twice as Chun backed away and launched her wave motion canon.

It seems that D was in a pickle but perhaps now would be a good time to get serious. He decided to take the blow from the wave motion canon and started to emerge from the clouded smoke, unleashing a barrage of punches and kicked her up a few inches in midair and kicked her once again across the arena.  It was an interesting fight but what you’d expect from two martial artists? D’s unorthodox while Chun follows a simple style that resembles the flamingo but rather adopted  from it and invented new tricks.

She’s going to be quite something, this match however must end and if D takes too much damage, it will have a huge impact on his next fight. He dashed forward taking two steps to close the distance as he bent down and swing his leg 360 degrees on the floor to trip her again. Chun’s reaction got her out of it by simply jumping up in the air. Having taken the position of the frog, D jumped up and grabbed Chun’s leg smashing her body to the ground .

However upon impact, her head took a huge portion of the force that acted on her body, though it wasn’t fatal it would appear that she’d be barely conscious at all. The Referee ends the match knowing the conditions met as the MC announces the winner, D who barely made it. Chun really did a number of D considering how much damage she stacked on him. She was indeed quick on her feet, everyone who was watching the battle saw what she did and she was amazing how such speed was able to tackle down the likes of the faceless stranger D. The result of the battle puts a grin on Vega’s face as the Crimson Colonel prepares for the upcoming battle between them. Knowing the huge stamina loss and the fatigue on enduring some of Chun’s attacks, D had to make a choice, either he’d use his magic now or perish and fail to win the tournament. He walked towards his defeated foe and offered a hand when she was conscious helping her up again. Though Chun can’t believe she lost, she was proud knowing she gave it her all, Cam pouted at the sight of her defeat but smiled seeing her friend smiled at her opponent.

Kouken commented that the match was a close shave, if Chun hadn’t been caught in some of the faceless’s attacks she would have defeated her but one thing still bothers them is that he isn’t using his magic and managed to defeat 5 opponents. The two martial artists stand a distance away from each other and bowed down in respect, the audience applaud for the sportsmanship they both displayed as they both parted ways, exiting the arena.

Kouken started to warn Wyvern and Cam cam to be careful for that even though D may have taken the full impact of Chun’s attacks, he’s still a formidable foe that refuses to reveal his ability however it is most likely that he will now that his next opponent will be none other than the Crimson Colonel himself! There’s no doubt that in terms of raw power, both D and Vega are equals but that depends on what Vega chooses to do. If D keeps holding back then it would spell trouble for him.

As Strange D makes his exit he was greeted by Vega, the Crimson Colonel himself who is his opponent for the next match.

Road Fighter: Mediocrity even in this corner 300?cb=20150611103939
    Opponent: Vega

Vega was looking forward to this match; it gives him chills, knowing he’d be up against a powerful opponent. As he greeted the stranger D by the end of his match with Chun, he grinned and offered a handshake, trying to get him with the act of sportsmanship.

“You did quite well for someone who have faced many opponents so far without using the full extent of their capabilities, if ever you could show me your power in our match then I’d certainly be delighted!” D passed him by with no words that escaped his lips and all he knows that he’s an opponent that he aims to crush soon. After the match Cam Cam starts her investigation around Talonia arena, after confirming that the faceless man wasn’t the man working for Vega, she took it upon herself to start a little detective work while matches are going on. If Vega’s attention is fully focused on his opponent then hopefully it would give Cam a window of opportunity to investigate some of the dark secrets Vega himself could be hiding at this moment, seeing how Cam would go alone Masters decided to come with to watch Cam carefully. Chun done her part and is now watching Vega and his every move. Since Balrog is out of commission, some of Vega’s secrets might be revealed now that he’s no longer guarding it and what better place is than where Vega is right now.

However this ended in a fiasco as Vega noticed right away.

“You did well beautiful detective but your best wasn’t enough, you’re nothing but an insignificant tool that needs to be thrown down to the ground.” As Chun was about to retaliate, Kouken stopped her at the right moment.

“Such harsh words from your arrogance, I hope to see it proven in the arena, Crimson Colonel. You know very well that this opponent is no easy one.”

“Silly Old man, there is no greater power than my own as I am one of the strongest competitors around and this year.. I will dominate the tournament.”

“And here I’d like to know if you aren’t pulling any dirty tricks like your lackeys do.”
    Kouken snarked.
“Such as sending a bunch of assailants to stop his advance in the tournament.”

“And now I suggest you leave old man, I will deal with you after this match.”

And whether Vega would win in this battle or not means nothing in the long run… his plan was just waiting to be unfolded.

And now Ladies and Gentleman, another match between two powerful fighters in the arena! The Crimson Colonel Vega vs. The Faceless D! This will be yet another interesting battle folks, both competitors as fierce as lions just waiting to smite one another!

    READY… BEGIN!

The two of Vega and D exchanged glances as the fight begins!

“I prefer we go all out on this fight so I suggest you go all out as well…” Vega chuckled as he roared, summoning an flaming aura around his body as his eyes were radiating with energy. He fires a barrage of flames at the faceless stranger as he dodged them, wave by wave. Vega then jumped upward and descended down on D’s location that would deal such damage. D evaded it in time by stepping backwards an after the attack is over D charged in and run around Vega in a circle as Vega kept firing of bullet flames from his hands, D slid backwards and dashed towards Vega in order to land a hit. Vega saw this coming as he held D’s hand tightly.

“You better take this match seriously… otherwise you’ll lose.” Vega chuckled as he pounded D smack hard across the arena.

OH! WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT, ITS SEEMS THIS TIME D FOUND AN OPPONENT OF HIS CALIBER; HE’S KNOCKED ACROSS THE ARENA JUST LIKE THAT! LADIES AND GENTLEMAN THIS WILL BE YET ANOTHER CLOSE SHAVE FOR D!

“Even the MC speaks, GO ALL OUT FACELESS PHANTOM AND SHOW ME THE TRUE EXTEND OF YOUR POWERS!!!” Vega shouted as he punch D directly to the face knocking him off a distance, as Vega laughs, he fired a barrage of purple flame bullets at him.

Kouken commented that this would be the first time he seen D heavily pinned by his opponent. If he can take on fighters without magic with ease and knocking them out… how would Vega fare if he started using his magic?  The smoke and clouds were too thick to see what has become of him but as the dust finally settles, D emerged and dashed from the smoke cloud, enraged as he starts off with his brand of attacks as he swoops down in order to trip Vega, however this wouldn’t work as Vega seen all his matches, he jumps up high and fires another wave of projectiles as they hit D successfully.

    “PATHETIC MAN!”

    Objectives!

    144HP - 56 = 88HP remaining

    0 C hits landed yet.
