Description
Ashya is a very ancient katana. Forged by an ancient blacksmith, this sword was forged from a strange ore. The weapon was folded 10000 times to ensure it’s tremendous strength. The weapon was fabled to be able to cleave through nearly anything without dulling the blade. The sword is extremely resistant to damage and extreme temperatures.
The weapon has a beautiful ivory hilt and flat-steel tsuba. An inscription upon the blade could be seen with the word “Ashya no Hana”

History
Masamune was a legendary swordsmith. His works were praised as the highest quality of blades in the entirety of the land of the rising sun. His skill was so renowned that a patron and daimyo once gifted this man a large piece of ore, of a mysterious quality, that the feudal lord claimed was a “star”. Upon seeing this fine work, Masamune decided that this would be his life’s work. His magnum opus, his masterpiece.
For a long time, during the careful smelting, shaping, forging, and furnishing of the exquisite masterpiece of a blade, Masamune put his everything into the blade. His effort, his sweat, his blood, his very soul; giving it as much love and care as a child, and even speaking to it tenderly. The blade itself, perhaps due to the nature of its material, or maybe because of its master’s projection, seemed to respond to this man’s emotions. The sword and the smith generated such a bond, that when the blade was done and ready; Masamune could not bring himself to give the weapon away to the daimyo. Thus, he hid the weapon in a place where no one would find it for centuries after his death, and none unworthy could ever hope to wield this beloved blade.

Strengths
• Never loses it cutting edge.
• The weapon is extremely durable.
• Ashya has life, it choose who can fight with it or not. If a person who Ashya deems unworthy tries to weild it, it’ll multiply its weight, becoming unusable to the holder.

Weaknesses
• When the user’s morale decreases extremely in battle, Ashya may deem the user unworthy and decide on its own to simply stop being usable.
• Since the sword has great amounts of untapped potential, and considering the unexperienced nature of its user, the spirit within the blade cannot communicate with its user, or manifest itself in any way (Subject to change in the future).
• As with all katana, its defensive potential is lower than other, bigger types of blades. This leaves defense more to the user’s skill than to the blade’s brunt, and thus favors reversals and parries over blocks and deflections.
