Mei sat there as various foxes jumped through her, it was sad at this point, the spirit was probably just trying to distract Mei, but really Mei was already distracted by the magazine. It was interesting how fire could clean up a home with proper application, really how did people live without magic, it was strange. Perhaps they just had really good technology or were idiots, I mean why use some kind of device when you could just do it naturally, or maybe people just lacked the talent to use said magic and abilities in the first place and needed the items. Mei couldn't really say after all she didn't know the full extent of what was going on within the world, her work kept her far too occupied, but it didn't matter, she might go out and explore a bit for herself later, perhaps when she wasn't so busy dealing with all of these different jobs and changes to the guild and everyone else she "knew". So much to do and no time to be free was really the problem that Mei was facing right now, oh well.

Not even looking up from her magazine, Mei merely sighed and rooted for Aiyana on the sidelines as yet a few more foxes committed suicide.

    "Go Aiyana... fight.... win."

In the end though if things got bad Mei would, of course hop on to intervein in the fight, especially since all the minions attack her were full on bricks for intelligence, and frankly boring her to death. Thus why she read the magazine and decided to just take a little bit of a break, after all she had done all the work of getting the cab out here, least she could do was rest for a spell, or the whole fight.

The laugh from the fox girl was enough to tell her that her words had fallen on deaf ears, the celestial spirit instead leaping forward again to get into range to attack. A khopesh would strike against nails, the celestial spirit's fingernails proving to be a lot more sturdy than they seemed at first glance, before a tail would whip out to strike the bandaged Sabertooth mage in the face. She supposed the face shots had something to do with the girl being a charming trickster spirit, beauty being important to lure one in to your traps and all. Pushing forward with her weapon, the blade would slide across the nails and drag across both of her hands. A scream of pain as she withdrew her hands was made before Aiyana let loose a hard kick. The kick was easily avoided, the nine tailed fox suddenly leaping back at full speed to get out of range.

The small victory was nothing to be excited about, as the battle was still going. The B ranked mage charged towards her opponent, the trouble causing banned celestial, and shoulder tackled her to the ground. A series of scratches happened on both sides as both clawed at each other to position the other into a favorable position to take the other out. It ended in a draw, the spirit kneeing the young woman in the gut to push her off of her. Both were beaten and bruised, various cuts on both of their arms and faces from where their sharp nails had landed. A small amount of blood lined Aiyana's chin, drying there as her cut tongue slowly bled without her thinking about it. As the two looked at each other, a good few feet in between them, the fox spirit suddenly dropped to her knees; laughing at something funny only she seemed to be able to hear...

See, now Mei was starting to get bored, she had actually managed to read this magazine from cover to cover, yes that's just how long this fight had taken, ignore the fact that Mei might be a fast reader. Perhaps this was mei's little weakness, her apathy, maybe if she hadn't moved on from her little narrow view of the world, things would be really different for the girl, but as they stood, they weren't, she was pretty much jaded to everything, kind to a few but never... warm. That fire had burned out long ago, she had lost it to the past to events that should never be remembered, in fact the only reason that she used this body right now was due to savior, the one who had ironically saved her from her old mentor and a destiny of hate. Though she suspected he was vile and corrupt himself, he had done nothing wrong by Mei yet, so that meant he could have a pass for now, perhaps in the future if he became a problem she would have to deal with him.

He was probably prepared for that, though, he had a way of being so... distinguished and prepared for nearly any problem. Still it was an interesting thought to ponder over, the whole ordeal she was going through and what it meant for her in the future, she might have to make a few tough choices as the days went on, and very soon. Perhaps she would end up becoming that which she detested, or perhaps she could become free.

In either event, it looked like Aiyana was winning, and that meant that Mei might get to go home earlier, and that was always a positive thing, one could never be too early for going home after all, that is if one could call any place home...

"Hey! What are you laughing about! You think this is some kind of joke now!" The words were made between heaving breaths, the two woman having fought hard over the last span of time.

"Hahaha, It's nothing. Just realized this whole fight was just made pointless just now! HAHA!" As the woman spoke, the entirety of her body faded almost completely for the briefest of seconds; Aiyana looking around to make sure it wasn't just some trick being pulled on her. ”Oh, silly girl! This is no trick now! It seems my time in this world is up! With no where else to go I will just cease to exist now; but now for the fun part!” A finger would point out at Aiyana suddenly, or was it the bandaged mage pointing at the fox spirit?

Wait, why did she see herself? Had the spirit changed her look to that of her? And what just touched her shoulder? A look over would show tails, nine of them. She had swapped their bodies! ”Hey! Change me back, or I'll make you do it!” While it was Aiyana speaking, it was the voice of the nine tailed that was released to the ears of all around, the conversation turning almost funny had it not taken a turn for the worse.

Another fit of laughter caught the celestial spirit, Aiyana's body rolling on the ground as she did so. ”Alas my girl, it seems you will be doomed to deal with being like me forever!” A pained expression on the woman's face would appear, even with the laughter, as she faded from existence; the death of a celestial spirit trapped on the human plane.

”No. No, no, no, no, NO! This isn't funny! Come back here and reverse this! I ORDER YOU!” The young woman trapped in a new body was now panicking, tails flinging everywhere as she thought about every implication involved with what had just happened. No one would remember her, and those that didn't would only think of her as a nine-tailed fox race or a celestial spirit. Worst of all, Mao would have no memories of her like this; how could she prove being herself to a person with an archival memory when she looked different. ”NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!” The woman began pacing frantically, tails flying about to even strike out at the one friend she was too panicked to remember about.

Here Mei was just relaxing and reading this magazine, and then suddenly a panic erupted, what could possibly be so bad that it required such loud screaming, and in an odd voice too. Looking up she noticed what it was, and sighed a bit, the spirit was still.. wait no, that wasn't the spirit that was... oh boy. Well, that certainly wasn't what Mei thought the spirit meant by surprise, or plans, self-sacrifice to ruin someone else's life purely because they were going to bite the dust anyway, nice touch. Mei still viewed it as completely selfish, but still, nice touch. Still now there was a wailing Aiyana on the ground and Mei had to take care of that, but how, tails were everywhere as Mei approached, smacking through her form and leaving Mei a little scrambled.

"Aiyana, just calm down we can--"

One tail smacked through Mei's mouth, but Mei quickly regained composure, for her friend.

"Look we can just get through th---"

Second smack, it was getting really annoying to hold her form together.

"Right Aiyana, seriously just stop and listen to---"

Third smack, that was it. This was far too much work, and so with a raised fist held high in revenge for an earlier incident, Mei slammed downward onto Aiyana's head, smacking her clean out of the ballpark. Nah all it did was knock her out.

"There, now I just need to find the location of where you live, that saber whatever place... yeah that one."

Pulling out some kind of weird communication device, Mei attempted to call a certain group of people.

"Customer service, how can we hep you?"

"Yes I am looking for the directory of places, preferably where this one guild called sabertooth is located."

    "Operating number please?"

    Mei sighed.

"Operating number? Seriously, come on it's not much of a secret but you guy's, ask every time!"

    "Operating number please."

"six, six, six, It's the same for everyone because you guy's are unoriginal, seriously anyone could guess it!"

"Noted, you will be updated on the location of this place, have a safe trip Hec---"

Click went the device before the lady could finish, and Mei sighed. They were really annoying, but then a second later a buzz hit the device and she looked upon it, there it was the location, what a convenient plot device that Mei had on her this whole time and was totally not made up. Thankfully Mei had enough magic to reach the town again and then take another boat back, though it would be worrying if Aiyana was out for that whole time, it didn't seem impossible, after all Mei did hit her pretty hard and she was mighty distracted, so... it was an easy knockout. Still though this body, or weird thing that she was now, it was well, Mei didn't mind it. Seemed less annoying than the spirit was anyway, a little bit more pure, maybe it was just the god side of Mei talking, but it was a little refreshing to see something not corrupt for once, well not corrupt yet at least. This was Aiyana after all.

Skipping to the guild hall, Mei walked in relatively unopposed, sure there were a few that decided to try and stop her, but all she did was tell them in a calm way "I'm bringing back something that belongs to you" and totally didn't lava punch them in the dick, and then bolt after dropping Aiyana off in her room. After all Mei was the pinnacle of civility, and kindness, especially in this kind of situation. Now that was a tiring trip, perhaps Mei would go and take a bit of a break before getting back to work, ignore the fact that she did almost no work on this job in the first place.

The first thing Aiyana could think was; 'Why does my head hurt?' The thought rung through her head like an earthquake as her eyes weakly opened up to see her room spin for a bit in the darkness. 'Did I drink too much last night? What a terrible nightmare.' The woman's thoughts erupted as she slowly opened her eyes a bit more, the girls body slowly waking up at the same time with a large stretch. That was when something brushed against her shoulder, which caused her to look over thinking someone else was in her bed. Sadly this was not the case, as she turned to see a batch of tail spread across the bed in random places. The Sabertooth female jumped out of the bed, tails following along as she did so, with a scream emitting from her mouth in an unknown voice to her.

As the girl panicked about her room, a knock would resound on her door before a guild mate walked in to see what the panic was about; the woman barreling over him to escape as he tried to walk in. The poor man stood naught a chance as he fell to the ground, an unknown woman running through the guild hall to escape the place where no one knew her right now. Her head hurt, she was in a body that wasn't hers, and she didn't know what to do. The only thought was to run, but where? To a place she had been to more often than anywhere else? Magnolia's east forest! That's where she would go! No one would search for her there, with all those monsters around. Maybe she could figure out how to reverse this! Just a few days there should be enough for her to figure something out, right? So the confused woman would make her way around Fiore, dodging people as she went, to find herself in the midst of the east forest of Magnolia town.
