    Job Details:

The nun lay on her bed in her room, concentrating on a different form of meditation that Vulpecula had recommended to her. The Fox Celestial Spirit had called it Tantric Meditation... and apparently it was good for her core being and would heighten her senses to the world around and within her. Of course, she took the perverted female spirits words with a bag of salt, but at the moment, she had to agree surprisingly enough. This Tantric style of meditation was indeed having some sort of effect on her. She could feel the heat within her body falling and rising like the washing tides. She could find herself hearing the slightest prick of feet against stone... and knocking on wood.

Kiersa sighed as she opened her eyes, got up, made sure she was dressed this time and opened the door. "Yes?" she asked of the messenger. "Urgent missive for you ma'am." was the reply as he handed her a sheet of paper before walking away, no doubt to deliver more mail. The blonde nun read the paper as soon as she opened it, blinking at its contents before heading back into her room and immediately diving into some paperwork on her desk. "I know I had that list here somewhere..." she muttered to herself before finding it on the edge underneath the financial records.

She ran her finger down it before nodding. "He'll do... as much as I'm loathe to do this, it must be done." said Kiersa before heading out, and looking for the mage called Ardere... the Fire God Slayer. She eventually found him and coughed gently to get his attention. "Hello there Mister Ardere is it?" she asked, making sure she had found the right mage. "My name is Kiersa Bec and... I need your particular assistance for job that I think is... most suited for your particular magical speciality." she said, offering him the instructions on the sheet of paper. "If the Spirit cannot be appeased... then... well... your particular talents would come in handy use..." the blonde Paragon nun explained after giving him time to read it through. She was almost certain that even if she went alone, she wouldn't be alone at this ruined site... a rampaging elemental god spirit tended to attract all sorts of attention, both mundane and the divine.

Assuming the man accepted the job, she would then lead the way through the guild hall, towards the teleportation lacrima, beam down to the surface side of the guild, keep her partner focused on the job and not the bar they had to go through, and get into the nearby waiting carriage which would begin to take them to their destination. As they got into the carriage, the nun blinked before looking at the Fire God Slayer mage. "You... don't get motion sick do you?" she asked him, a little unsure if the same affliction that Dragon Slayers suffered extended to all Slayer type mages. If he answered in the positive, she'd sigh and say, "This... is going to be a long ride... I've tried to heal Slayer motion sickness before... it... didn't go too well."

Post by Ardere Kasai 1st September 2015, 6:35 pm

A page would be flipped in the book Ardere was reading, eyes intently staring into the depth of the pages. He was in fact a speed reader, thus his eyes were darting across the page, yet still absorbing and comprehending the words. To anyone observing him, it would appear that he was quite into the novel. It was often that the fire mage could be found reading in the guild, whatever it may be; fiction, fantasy, sci fi, history, anything that grabbed his interest or allowed him to attain knowledge. As much was he was a warrior, who found himself in perilous situations across the continent, he was a scholar in a sense. Always looking for new information, it was quite the combination. Though today, his reading was interrupted as usual. Thankfully, it was by someone much more polite than the average Sabertooth mage. Looking up, he found himself in the presence of Kiersa, one of the guild Aces. From what he remembered, she was a kind soul. That would be my name. Possessing a laid back demeanor, it appeared that she had a proposition for him. Spirits eh? He assumed she meant the holy kind, or at least godly nonetheless, which would certainly suit his magic. Slamming the book shut, he thought about it for a moment. Might as well. I'll meet you downstairs, I need to grab something.

Heading out to the outer parts of the guild hall, his large ship the Black Sun was parked outside. Calling out. Celica, toss me my armor wontcha? He could hear her heavy sigh due to his enhanced senses, which made him arch a brow. His phoenix always hated getting up from her beauty naps. A set of tradition Midi armor was tossed down from the ship, with a huff. Catching the red armor made of enchanted wood and leather, he tightened it in place. Thanks Celica, watch the ship while I'm gone. I won't be taking it this time. It was not often he went on a mission without his partner, but he wanted to take this one alone.

Heading downstairs via the transportation lacrima, Ardere found himself in a carriage shortly afterwards. It was strange to not take his ship with him, it had become such an integral part of his life. Though he did like to shake things up, change was good. Armor and sword equipped, he leaned back in his seat to relax a bit. Appearing ready for war, he had the calmest demeanor for such. Hmm? No, actually. I don't get motion sickness luckily, tends to be more of a dragon slayer thing anyways. You dont have to worry about me, I'll be fine. It would not be long before they reached their destination, but he could see even from here that some strange weather was occurring on the horizon. He had a feeling in his gut that these spirits would not go down so easily. It would actually be his first encounter with such things, on the enemy side that is.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Surprisingly enough, even as a Guildless wanderer for quite some time now, this was the very first time the Nephalem would have ever visited Talonia. A strange land, indeed, and it was said to house Guildless mages such as himself. Previously he would have had no intentions of coming to Talonia unless given a certain reason or epidemic, which was just the case, and that was why he had finally chosen to come to the land. Apparently there had been some strange weather patters, and the source of it was a mysterious thousand-year-old temple, perhaps housing some ancient deity. Not necessarily interested in the reward, or even the thrill of this, Deniel was much more interested in meeting this being that caused such awesome weather patterns. Perhaps an angelic or god-like creature, and encountering such a creature could give Deniel perhaps a form of entertainment in some way or another.

Although not in the scorching heat of the Forgotten Desert, Deniel had chosen to wear his black cloak. The large piece of cloth covered up his body from his shoulders all the way down to his knees, concealing even his arms, although they could go right through and be of use to him. The cloak had also come with a hood that could conceal most of his face, but he chose not to wear it. Being discreet or mysterious was not a necessity, but the cloak would come in handy against the irregular weather patterns. He had been traveling down the beaten trail all by himself, or would rather have been all by himself were it not for his sword--which was in its dragon form right now. The tiny creature was curled up just around his shoulders, concealing itself by blending in its jet black scales with the dark clothing that Deniel wore, the colors matching perfectly.

As Deniel walked, although slowly, he could see the unusual weather just ahead of him, and that gave him a sign that he was getting very near to his destination. Preparing to venture in alone, it seemed like that would be a change of plans. He heard a carriage approaching behind him, and as he turned to look, two strangers had decided to...join him? He didn't know exactly why they were their, but he also realized that one of them wasn't necessarily a stranger. He recognized one of them, at the very least, and that sidetracked him. It was Ardere, or at least that's what he could remember his name to be, he could have been wrong. Someone he met quite some time ago during one of Sabertooth's grand events. What was a person in a Guild doing in Talonia? Turning away from where he was headed, he approached the two, pulling one of his hands out of his cloak to give a wave, "Heeeey, Ardere! What brings you here? And...who's this?"

Post by JaffaArchfiend 3rd September 2015, 3:27 am

Soon the carriage arrived at their destination and the duo got out of the vehicle. The blonde nun looked into the distance towards where the ruins were supposed to be and frowned, gripping her arm tightly. "Something... something is definitely there... I can feel it." she said softly before hearing someone calling out to them. Kiersa turned her attention there way and blinked, recognising the man from the ball that Sabertooth had held recently. "Hello sir," she said with a curtsey as Capricorn had shown her to do when greeting people, "I'm Kiersa Bec, one of Sabertooth's Paragons. We were never formally introduced last time, when you swept our guild master off her feet at the ball." she said introducing herself.

She looked back towards the abnormal weather patterns looming ahead. "I guess you're here for the same reason we are?" the blonde celestial summoner asked, allowing the two men to reconnect and do whatever it was that two guys did after they hadn't seen each other for a while. But then she spoke up, since they were here to do a job after all. "I think since we're all here... we should probably do our best to work together... which means letting the others know what we can respectively accomplish." said the blonde nun, finding herself growing a little uncomfortable. This was a total stranger, and here she was talking casually... on the one hand, it meant those lessons with Capricorn and Draco were paying off... on the other hand, she still felt nervous as all heck.

No time to dwell on that, we've got a job to do... she thought to herself before continuing. "I don't have much in the way of offensive spells... but I can provide shielding for us with my holy magic, and any healing should it be needed... But if we find ourselves needing more offense, I can summon Celestial Spirits to help us..." Kiersa informed the group, showing off her set of five Keys, four Silver and one Gold, that she kept on her wrists, that way they were much easier to reach in case of an emergency. "But... I can only summon three of them at the moment... not all at once I mean! Just one or two at a time..." she quickly explained, wilting a little as she realised that it made her sound somewhat useless.

These two men would probably wind up doing most of the fighting and hard work, whilst she hung near the back just trying to shield them... that thought when it came to group jobs like this always seemed to surface, and make her feel a little guilty, like she wasn't pulling her weight properly. And here they were, about to dive into an ancient temple crawling with who knows what elemental beings, and something that is akin to a god...

Sitting in the carriage as they traversed the trail, Ardere continued to stare out of the window. As they were getting closer and closer to the outskirts of Talonia, he could see a man walking in the distance. He looked just like some wandering traveler, or perhaps someone strolling in to town. Once they arrived on the outskirts, he could now see the man, and he was no ordinary wanderer. It was the former Eclipse Soul guild master, Deniel. Nice to see you again Deniel. Hopping out of the carriage, his armor made a slight clunk from the shifting of wood and leather. He wondered what the man was doing here, but judging by his direction on the path, he seemed to be heading towards the temple as well. Down one of the longer paths, off in the distance he could see the Temple Ruins. Turning his attention back to the conversation at hand, it seemed the introductions were covered.

Tightening the straps on his sword, he looked back to the Temple. Yeah, since we're all going the same way, seems beneficial to work together. He found it certainly beneficial to have a former guild master on the mission, someone he knew was of the caliber they required. The mission should be a piece of cake, but he was still interested in seeing who this deity exactly was. But his train of thought was interrupted by Kiersa's mention of being a celestial spirit mage, something he actually did not know. As a healer and a spirit mage, she would be the perfect person to have on their team as support. It was no wonder she was the Paragon of Selflessness, she certainly embodied it in more ways than one. I'm sure you'll do fine, let's get to that temple shall we? Sliding his pale hand behind his neck and interlocking them, the god slayer waited for his team to state their readiness, or acknowledge his statement before heading on their way.

The path was not long, or treacherous to his understand. Definitely a change from many of his previous travels, but a well accepted one. The temple was not far, but he would see dark clouds above it. The townspeople had mentioned experiencing strange weather, he was curious as to how strange. If the clouds were any indicator, it would be raining soon. The three mages were well prepared for this mission, and thus he was not worried. But the clouds up ahead did look a bit strange, darker and misshapen. Running fingers through his brown hair, Ardere kept his eyes on the temple for most of the duration of the walk. It would not be long until their arrival.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
As Kiersa mentioned the event in which Deniel swept Raven off of her feet during the Grand Ball event her guild was hosting, he looked down at the ground for a second to remember the event. He had recalled what he had done, and there was a faint memory of Kiersa and her reaction. Doing a fake scratch on his cheek, he couldn't really bear to look her in the eye. It wasn't something he was proud of, but it was more of a practical joke rather than a serious action. "Right...sorry about that. Nice to meet you, though." Deniel had no idea what "paragon" meant for Sabertooth's terms, but his best assumption would be that it meant she was an ace. Very interesting, indeed. He wasn't one to judge Raven's choices, but she did seem to fit her title given the Magic that she used. Despite being a Guild Master, not once did he ever meet a person who had healing Magic and the protection of others, much less Celestial Spirit summoning. "Well, I don't see why not. I'll be up for it." If this had occurred about a year ago, Deniel would have simply ignored them in a heartbeat, scared to even talk with people. Now? He was all for it.

"Not to worry, Kiersa. I'm sure Ardere could handle it by himself, but me as well? Pffft....not even a deity stands a chance." He seemed to be confident in his own abilities, and there was a very strong sense of pride in his statement. A person could see it as arrogant, or confidence, but it would be leaning much towards confidence. For Deniel could not only bark, but have a much more furious bite. Ever since he defeated two certain individuals, it was very difficult for him to consider anything a challenge, really, much less effort being put into it. He often found himself overdoing it. Following Kiersa and Ardere, this time he had actually chosen to wear the cowl over his head. Reaching behind himself, he pulled up the piece of cloth over his head and the cloth created a shadow across his facial features. His eyes, prone to brighten in the darkness, began to mysteriously glow just underneath it. He let the two Sabertooth mages take the lead, rather than himself, and chosen to wear his cloak because of the uneasy weather that appeared to be coming before them. The clouds above the trail had grown mysteriously dark and eerie, and it would not be a shock to Deniel should it start raining.

And as he followed the two of them, he felt two drops of water hit his shoulders, one for each, and from then it became certain to him that it could rain any second now. Perhaps even a thunderstorm would show up given the nature of those clouds. "I'm curious to see what kind of deity is controlling this..."

Kiersa shook her head and smiled softly. "It's alright... gave me a mild panic, but that had more to do with my trying to ensure no fights broke out, and at the time, she was the centre of attention for a few high powered mages." she admitted to Deniel, following Ardere down into the temple's ruins. As they walked past the edges of the ancient remains, she looked around at the structure, looking at the markings and engravings, or what remained of them at this edge.

"Amazing..." said the blonde nun as she went over to inspect a column in particular, tracing her fingers over the faded carvings in the stonework. "Each of these columns has a different set of symbology, and whilst its in some language I can't read... there are some symbols that are universal in elemental theology..." she said, her voice and eyes filled with wonder.

"This column seems to represent the element of fire... see the twisting flickers here along the edges?" She asked before they arrived at another set of the ruins. "And here, the element of water... the carvings seem to be much more flowing, and this tidal marking... although that could be the swirling wind..." the nun mused, tapping her chin before she realised the other two were probably staring at her.

She turned around to face them, rubbing the back of her head, her face redder than a tomato. "I-I'm sorry! S-Studying different th-theologies is a b-bit of a h-hobby. S-Since... w-well... I a-am a nun..." Kiersa stammeringly explained before she bowed towards the pair of them. "Sorry!" the blonde Sabertooth Ace apologised once again, finding the whole situation just a touch embaressing. Not everybody, if anyone really, shared the same inclinations towards studying other religions and faiths, both ancient and modern.

With that out of the way, she forged on ahead, her face scrunched up in embaressment, although her eyes kept darting around the place, taking in all the theological details concerning this elemental based paganistic culture. She blinked when they came across the ruins of a central column in the path, and rushed over to it, running her fingers down the length of the faded carvings, frowning as she tilted her head this way and that as she sought to understand the meanings.

"I... I th-think this is t-talking about what lies inside the temple..." she slowly explained, not sure if the other two men were anywhere near her, but speaking all the same just in case. "All four elements are converged into one symbol... surrounded by the other individual symbology... what lies inside... is either a being made up all of the elements, or something that can command all four of the primary elements... Earth, Fire, Wind and Water..." the blonde nun surmised, biting her lower lip as she looked at the column. "A deity that commands all four elements... usually when it comes to elemental based religions, each one has its specific god or goddess... I can't remember the last time I heard or read about a culture that had a god of all four elements." the blonde Sabertooth nun said before twisting her head at the sound of something approaching.

"We've got company." she said, drawing herself into her preferred stance to get ready to cast, depending on what appeared... and on whether or not the two males could handle it with relative ease. One of them was a Fire God Slayer after all.

Post by Ardere Kasai 4th September 2015, 11:17 am

Noting Deniel's confidence as a good thing, Ardere continued on with the group. Then, a few raindrops hit his armor. Drop after drop, as it slowly began to rain down upon them. It was not a strong rain, but it was noticeably. What was truly strange however, was how the air pressure changed. It was almost as if the area was heated by the rain, rather than cooled down. Quite suspicious. Rather than dwelling on it, he chose to move on and they shortly arrived to the ruins. Unlike most it was not a year's worth of steps to climb, which he was grateful for. The most noticeably thing about the ruins though, was the markings scattered across the pillars. He wondered how long it took to carve these, symbols that had no effect on the architecture. Ancient civilizations had an interesting way of doing things. Hmm. Elemental symbolism? It must have had something to do with the deity, or guardians of the temple. Whatever it was, he assumed they would soon encounter what they needed to.

Running his fingers across the markings, he turned back to the group. Kiersa seemed very deep into the study of these ruins, which was perfectly fine. Knowing as much as they could about this place would be in their best interests. Ardere and the rest of the group traversed into the ruins, passing pillar after pillar, carved up more than a piece of meat. It made him wonder if these runes placed some sort of spell on the ruins, that would certainly be interesting. He had noticed as soon as they entered, the surge of magical power in the place. He actually felt stronger than before, in terms of magical prowess. Refocusing back on the Sabertooth Ace, she seemed to be explaining some intriguing information about the ruins. A deity of the elements, perhaps that would be something he could slay. He was not one to slay good deities, but if this one was terrorizing the townspeople, then it would receive no mercy from the Flame God Slayer.

Even before his guild mate, Ardere could hear something coming their way. It sounded like the ripping of air, and flickering of flames. A strange sound, that made absolutely no sense at the time. Then, as he spread out from his team mates a bit, their enemies would arrive. Charging towards them was a group of beings made purely of elements. The only way he could describe them amply would be a salamander made of flames, and a bird made of wind. The birds made of wind soaring through the air on the right, and Salamanders of flames dashing across the floor and walls. I'll take the right, you take the left. Unsheathing his red and white blade known as Clarent, flames began to form across the blade, until a new blade called the Sword of Kings was formed. A ten meter long blade of crackling flames was in his possession, and he would charge the wind elementals. He would've gone for the fire ones, but he imagined they had some kind of fire resistance they did not have time to deal with. If worst came to worst, he could always just eat them. But something strange happened when he summoned his sword, he noticed the flames were much more powerful than usual, perhaps even twice s powerful. When he swung his blade, it smashed right through the arcs of wind launched at him, and into his opponents. The birds of wind screeched a bit, and he could feel gusts of wind throughout the area in the ruins they were placed. Pulling his arm back, he would repeatedly place out jabs into the wind beasts, not giving them much room to work with. He could only hope Deniel would keep the fire ones at bay, though he had no doubt he could.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
The harsh rain did not bother Deniel one bit, mostly due to the fact that he put his hood on just for that reason. What he did find unusual and slightly bothersome was the heat generated from it. Heated rain? Must have been some kind of powerful deity who could conjure up something like that. Regardless, a change in weather wasn't going to scare him.

Although not interested in the ruins and carvings as much as Ardere, and especially not Kiersa, was...he still did have some form of curiosity towards them. He wondered just how old what created these things were, and why they were exactly. Perhaps the answer would never come to him, but he did find listening to Kiersa to be quite an intriguing story to listen to. Although she was apologetic, underneath his shadowed cloak Deniel formed a bit of a smirk and gave a bit of a shrug. He didn't necessarily mind, but wouldn't say anything about it. Just as before, as the group continued on their merry way through the ruins, he made sure to stay a bit in the back so they could lead the way. He wasn't exactly sure as to where they should go, but Kiersa seemed to have a good idea on the way. That, or she just had a knack for navigating through ancient ruins. Before any of them could go any further, they were attacked by...strange beings to say the least. Never in his life did Deniel witness an elemental, but now it would be the first. Practically jumping ahead in front of Kiersa, since she herself said that fighting wasn't her strongest point, Deniel had gotten himself on guard in a stance. Without his sword or using any Magic, it was merely a stance that showed he was ready for combat. He bent his knees, firmly placed his feet on the ground, and held up his arms from beneath his cloak in preparation for anything. "Come on, Nidhogg!"

From the back of Deniel's neck and underneath his cloak, a sudden small stream of black mist poured out and into the air. This mist followed a set path: straight to Deniel's left palm. The mist formed a rod-like shape, before solidifying and materializing into a sheathed jet black katana. But perhaps before anyone could admire its look, or ask about it, Deniel drew its blade from the hilt with his right hand, and then unleashed a burst of his Magic Power. He had three different forms of Magic, each one representing a different aspect of him. In this particular one, it was a sky-blue aura that radiated from his body in immense measures. However, the amount that was released was completely unintentional, so he ended up creating a temporary blinding light with the sheer amount of Holy Energy--as he called it--released. "White angel!" In a very swift motion, the Holy Energy that covered the area created a harmless burst that quickly faded away.

Left standing place of Deniel was a being of very similar height, but covered up in shining white plated armor with several blue orbs at each of his joins. Two large white strips on his back had triangular shaped beams of Holy Energy coming out of them to form wings, and in each of his hands were katanas, this a white color. Deniel, like Ardere, did not expect the massive amount of power that would surge through him upon activating this Take Over. As he swung his blade to deal with one of the fire elementals, the force of it was so strong that it cut it in half almost right away, created a strong gust of wind, and was so fast that not even he could keep up with swinging his own blade. Just what was happening to him?

Post by JaffaArchfiend 5th September 2015, 6:55 am

Kiersa blinked at the forms that the elementals all seemed to have taken. There was a grouping of Fire based Salamanders, and a flock of Wind elemental birds. The Fire God Slayer went after the Wind Elementals, his massive blade of fire striking forth with even more power than the Sabertooth Ace imagined possible. Meanwhile, Deniel went for the Fire Elementals by calling forth at jet black sword from smoke underneath his cloak... it was what he did next that truly surprised the blonde nun. She recognised this burst of light, this force of energy that enveloped and consumed the human, even if he hadn't called out the name of his spell. She would have had to have been a fool to not do so... since she used the very same energies herself in her spellcraft.

The Holy Take Over that stood before her stunned her before she recalled the situation and held out her hands, aiming at the two mages undergoing combat. She wasn't certain what form of attacks the elementals would create against them, so the blonde nun had no recourse but to try and cover all of their bases. Speaking of covering her bases however... she took out one of her silver Keys and held it forward. "Open the Gate of the Fox! Vulpecula!" she invoked, the shrine maiden dressed fox girl appearing in a flash of light beside her. "Hiya~" she cooed before seeing the two men and immediately purring. "Oh my my my! Kiersa dear, you should give a girl some warning before you bring her into a party like this~" Vulpecula teased, causing her summoner's face to turn a furious shade of crimson.

"I-It's n-not like that!" she exclaimed, before looking back at the two men and holding out her arms. "I... I need you to keep an eye out f-for me please... I-If any of them g-get past them..." the blonde nun explained, the fox girl spirit snickering. "Alright, alright. Do your thing that do so well." she said, smirking and standing ready, her eyes keeping a lock on Ardere, in particular his massive flaming sword that he was swinging around. Kiersa tried to put out the Fox Spirits nature from her mind for the moment. "Stigmata of the Seraphim, Stigmata of the Arc!" she invoked her two primary shielding spells.

Barriers of holy energy formed around the two male combatants limbs, before a barrier formed in front of them like a massive wall or shield. Kiersa winced as her limbs began to bleed out from the magic of the stigmata spells. "You... You can fight through the shield... it's there... for any ranged attacks... the ones on your limbs... are for any close quarter spells..." she called over, explaining to her comrades exactly what the spells were doing. But there was something strange about them to her eyes... they seemed to be far brighter and more solid than they usually were. Normally they were opaque, but today for some reason...

Post by Ardere Kasai 5th September 2015, 11:46 am

Ardere didn't have much time to observe his team mates, but he did notice Deniel joining into the fight with his sword as well. The two mages seemed to have some sort of increased power, perhaps the place was full of ethernano. That was the only time he had heard of such power ups to mages, but he was sure they would find out soon. His gargantuan flame blade blocked most of the wind slashes coming towards him, but a few would scrap against his arms. Narrow his eyes, he slid forward closer to the wind elementals. Noticing the shields around himself, he nodded to Kiersa. Much appreciated. The slashes and piercing wind seemed to bounce off of his shield, but also allowed him to completely take out two of the elementals, now they he could attack without worrying about blocking himself. Smacking his right hand on the rough stone wall, using his left to block against the wind slashes, and even lay out a few counter attacks. Energy began to transfer into the surface. Black fiery energy, cracking up the surface, as an explosion occurred. Descend into Ragnarok. The wall would then, explode like a rupturing geyser of flames, several geysers in fact. Thick black flames, pure destruction and chaos ripped apart the wall. Unfortunately for the elementals, not only would they take damage from his spell flames, the bits and chunks of stone wall would also damage them. This applied to even Deniel's enemies, though the fire mage made sure to step forward enough to make sure he went unharmed.

Rubble and flames scattered, the remaining enemies were significantly injured or held back by the rubble. Unfortunately it would not last for long, as they just formed around the rubble and moved past it. Kuso. Cursing a bit in his native tongue, he still seemed to be calm, just slightly frustrated. Taking a fighting stance, he would kick off. Blasting thick black flames from his feet, the god slayer launched towards his enemies, and slightly into the air. Spinning around like a fan, he repeatedly hit his enemies with his sword. Being in the air, he could avoid hitting his friends, but it would appear that a fan of flames was above their heads. Hitting the enemies over and over, deflecting wind strikes with the combo of his blade and shield like they were nothing. Landing back onto the ground, he left a slight dent in the floor. Several parts of the temple seemed to be unstable, he was lucky that he didn't bring the whole damn thing down when he made the wall explode. Turning to see if Deniel had finished off his opponents, and if Kiersa was alright, the Sabertooth mage had completed his part of the task at hand thus far. Albeit, it took a moment, he did defeat the creatures that attacked them. Though he did note that the air pressure in the temple had increased slightly, through the hole in the wall he could see what appeared to be red lightning striking the ground off in the distance. Every rain drop that hit the ground outside seemed to be boiling hot, as if the water itself was being boiled. This must be the strange kind of weather the townspeople had been referring to. It was quite strange indeed, but he knew the cause of it.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
As the white blade pierced through the salamander-looking elemental and split it right in half, the fire surrounding it extinguished from no longer being able to keep itself ignited, and it faded away completely. That was one of five down, in a single hit, and one faster than Deniel had anticipated. The remaining four each used elemental-type fire blast that combined strength and hit Deniel all at once. It seemed that not just his speed, but his already near-invincible armor had literally become impenetrable and invincible to the elementals. As the angel stood there, the fire merely surrounded and engulfed his armor, but not once did it leave so much as a mark. Underneath Deniel could feel no heat on his skin, and there wasn't so much as a scratch on his armor by the time it had ended. The White Angel stood there momentarily, contemplating his next move. Obviously, given how easy the first one had fallen, he could finish of the rest with relative ease. One cut each. However, that would have been boring and merely a waste of time and energy from the Nephalem. He was going to finish them off in a stylish and elegant manner worthy of an angel. "Prepare!"

The first elemental was the one that was nearest to Deniel. Vanishing from where he had been standing, traveling at an extraordinary speed, Deniel had seemingly reappeared just in front of it. Jabbing with his left sword straight into the front of the elemental, Deniel quickly retracted his blade and then brought the left one just from underneath. Launching the elemental airborne high in the sky, he followed it by ascending swiftly with his wings. On his right blade he charged up a brief bit of Holy Energy, one that would deal some minimal extra damage. However, with the surroundings, unbeknownst to him, he would have a massive extra damage increase. "Blade of light!" He called out as he stabbed the elemental from directly underneath, a small beam of Powerful Holy Energy shooting straight through it to amplify his attack. Although it was technically finished in the first strike, only now did its fire fade away just as the first one had done.

The next two, that were down below, Deniel flung each of his holy blades at them. Aimed perfectly, they struck and impaled themselves deep within them, but still had their hilts and part of the blades sticking out. Activating a minor spell that he developed a while ago, Return, Deniel's blade instantly returned to him, but with company. The elementals were still impaled with the blades, so Deniel's purpose of his action was to bring them up to his height. With the hilts in his hand, he drew the blade out from them and gave each of them seven quick slashes, one for each blade. The final one was another impaling strike, powerful enough to shake the air around him and cause brief tremors down at the Earth, and finish off the elementals.

Now, there was only one left. This one would be finished just as swiftly as the first. "You're finished." He muttered underneath his helmet. Although it was far back down on the ground, and he was high in the air, it would not take long. Crossing each blade over his body, Deniel quickly descended all the way down to the ground, where he would go straight through the fire and flames of the elemental. He uncrossed each of his swords at the same time in a powerful X-shaped cut, one that marked the elemental in the spots that his blades struck briefly. Then a powerful gust of wind created from the shock of his attack blew the elemental out of existence, leaving the angel crouched down with each blade over near his sides. He stood up straight once again, and sheathed both of his blades without another word.

Post by JaffaArchfiend 6th September 2015, 12:54 pm

Vulpecula watched Ardere's pyromantic assault with glee, drool forming as she ogled the Fire God Slayer mage. "Huminah huminah huminah~" she purred, twisting her hips this way and that as he brutally fought his way through the Wind based elemental foes. Kiersa had to roll her eyes at the Fox Spirit's lustful gaze concerning her comrade's actions. "It wouldn't work out..." she called over to her supposed protector. "Who cares about it working out? A fires passion burns however long it wants to blondie. And his passion looks like it could burn all night long." smirked Vulpecula as she watched Ardere in action.

Kiersa winced a little though when the Elementals attacks struck against the pair of shields she'd cast over both the Fire God Slayer and Deneil. A side effect of her shielding spells, was that a portion of the damage that was blocked by them, was instead dealt directly to herself.

The Fox Spirit turned around to look at Kiersa, her eyes widening before she went over to her Summoner's side. "Aiyah! No wonder dog face doesn't like your kinda magic missy!" she exclaimed as the blonde nun lowered her arms, dropping the Ranged shield from her two allies once all the current elementals had been dealt with. "I'll be fine... honest." said the Sabertooth Ace, smiling softly at the Fox Spirits actions.

"Nope! Not agreeing to that! You little miss masochist are gonna sit right there till you heal yourself up... aaaand let me guess." said Vulpecula with a scowl. Kiersa blushed a little and gave a nervous chuckle. "Urgh! Great. So your magic not only makes you bleed more than a woman should," said the Fox Spirit, causing Kiersa's face to turn blindingly crimson, "but you also can't even heal yourself with it... great... what kind of moron makes a healing magic that the mage can't use on themselves eh?!" asked Vulpecula, clearly not alright with this entire situation.

"The Holy Stigmata was created to serve others, not the mage using it..." Kiersa began to explain, even as her Fox Spirit turned around and looked at the two men. "Alright boys. Be a little more careful alright eh? Not much use in having a mage that can shield your asses if you wind up getting them killed in the process. Am I clear?" asked the Fox Spirit, trying to look imposing... in front of the far more powerful mages. Kiersa sighed and rubbed her forehead. "Vulpy... it's alright. Honest. I'll be fine once this job's done... I promise. This isn't the first time I've shielded others, and it won't be the last..." the blonde nun said before looking to the others.

"Just keep fighting as you normally would please... don't hold back because you're worried about me okay?" she asked, looking at Ardere in particular. They were of the same guild after all, and if she suspected either of them of holding back, then it would probably be one of her own that'd wind up doing it.

But onto more important matters. The blonde nun coughed gently to try and change the subject. "So... it seems that our spells are much stronger in this temple... Could it be because of the deity within the depths of this place maybe?" the Sabertooth Ace asked the pair of them, ignoring Vulpecula's pouting features as the Fox Girl stood by, her ears twitching and turning every so often, on alert for any more elementals that may come their way. The noise of the walls collapsing as well as the explosions of the battle were almost certainly going to draw more attention their way.

Post by Ardere Kasai 6th September 2015, 1:15 pm

Deactivating his Sword of Kings, Ardere would twirl his blade the flames dissipating from it. Sliding the glowing red long sword into it's sheath on his back, he turned to check on Kiersa once again. Kuso. Dammit, he thought. She had taken on some of the damage that the two would have normally taken, he assumed it was another side effect of her magic. He remembered what he had seen back when Nanaka joined the guild, it was still quite the magic though. Walking over to Kiersa, she seemed alright, but alright or not she had taken damage. Nodding to the fox spirit, he sighed slightly. Will do. He did not wish to harm his guild ace, but this mission would not be an easy one. This unfortunately would not thoroughly distract him from the intense weather occurring outside, red lightning and boiling rain affecting the entire area. If they did not attend to this quickly, the spirit would no doubt ruin the nearby town. Just lay off the defenses a bit if it's going to harm you, I'm tougher than I look. Don't worry. Knowing full well that he in fact did look tough, considering his pale muscular physique, and red Samurai armor. The purpose however, was to be kind to his guild mate, and give her a bit of a break. Modesty and kindness were perhaps two of his better traits.

Tapping his feet, he thought for a moment about the statement. It's highly possible the whole place is full of ethernano, which would mean the deity is pumping magical energy into this place. Probably contributes to the weather too. As rugged and laid back as Ardere was, he was actually quite intelligent. With the amount of research he had put in about magic over the years, he had a good idea about what was going on. Nonetheless, we should keep moving. If you don't mind. Looking off into the distance, he noticed spirals of wind and flame. It was no doubt more elementals, which he imagined came in many shapes and sizes. As forces of nature, these beings would be quite powerful. The ones that had encountered were probably not even the moderately strong ones. It did intrigue the fire mage, and excited him a bit. Fighting was a passion of his, primarily if he had a reason for it. Protecting the town was a good enough reason for him, as conviction was everything to the god slayer. If allowed, he would lead the way further into the ruins. Passing more broken down bits of the temple, pillars and walls. The weather seemed to worsen as they traversed deeper into the pressurized ancient abyss. He could hear movement within the walls, back and forth. They were getting closer to the center, and as expected more enemies would soon arrive. Hopefully the weather didn't affect them, as the increasing winds could interfere with their fight in the wrong situation, or at the wrong time.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Making his way over to where Ardere and Kiersa were conversing, finished with his own side of the battle, Deniel stood silently and merely watched the exchange between the three of them. For it seemed like one other...thing had joined them. Perhaps the Celestial Spirit that Deniel heard Kiersa summon just before. The White Angel crossed his arms over his chest, and remained silent for the most part unless he had to put his own two cents in. The first of these was when Kiersa mentioned that they should fight normally, despite the fact that she was taking the attacks instead of them. Ardere pleaded with her to stop, and the White Angel Deniel was on his side. She didn't need to be THAT selfless. "I agree...to be honest I think it's best if you don't shield me," he stated with his voice sounding drastically different than it did without the armor. Almost like an entirely separate person. He quickly clenched up a fist, adn then smashed it right against one of his shoulderplates. The armor of the both the armors clanged together in a dinging sound, but there was no damage done to either of them. "I've faced many dangers, and this armor has not broken once. I believe I'll be fine."

Kiersa probably wouldn't listen to Deniel or Ardere, but he did have one playing card that could perhaps get her to do it more so. It was a bit unfair, but he said it anyway. She was a nun, afterall: "Consider it a request--no, a command from an angel." The other subject at hand was the dramatic increase in power. So Ardere and Kiersa felt it too, didn't they? He knew quite a bit about Magic, but not THAT much. Inside of his head he started to converse with his companion, Nidhogg, to see if he could get an answer from it. Hey, Nidhogg... Before Deniel could even finish his sentence, Nidhogg already knew the answer. They speak the truth, Deniel. It seems everything for you is doubled. Use your spells wisely. They are already dangerous already. They could be even more now.

Nodding, mostly to himself, Deniel turned his attention back to the others in the group. Now they were continuing on into the ruins. So, just like every other time, Deniel followed at the very tail end of it, completely silent and seemingly enclosed in his own world. The immense rain poured down from his armor, and in several sections it seemed like there were mini waterfalls coming off of him. There wasn't a single gap in his armor in which any bit of water could come through, and that was good. It was fortunate for Deniel that he could not feel just how drenched he would be without it...

The blonde nun sighed in exasperation as not one, but both men declared for her to ease up on her shielding spells on them. She gave the Fox Spirit a withering glare, which Vulpecula merely stuck out her tongue childishly in retort. "Ha ha! They are on my side~" the red head grinned at the blonde. The Sabertooth was about to retort when Deneil was able to stun her into brief silence with his... angelic command.

She looked at the armoured man before closing her eyes. "Maker's Sight." invoked Kiersa, before she opened her now glowing eyes once more, looking at the man before her. "Eeep!" she exclaimed as she stumbled backwards a little at the revelation standing before her.

Through her Maker's Sight she was able to discern whether a being was of angelic, demonic or human descent or power... and what she saw before her now with Deniel... it defied anything she'd heard about or even read about. Whenever she looked at Demon Slayers or God Slayers, she could see the hints of the divine and demonic energies that lurked within their bodies as the magic altered them from within.

But Deniel wasn't either of those as far as she could tell or discern... no, instead his body was so suffused with both angelic and demonic energies as to be far above the Slayers... almost as if he was an angel, but also a demon at the same time...

"Hello? Helloooo? Earthland to Kiersa? Anybody in there?" came Vulpecula's voice through the fog of the blonde nun's confusion. She felt the Fox Spirit poking her in the shoulder before she shocked her by... groping her chest! The blonde nun immediately clinged to her chest, squirming away from her Spirit, shooting her a heavily embarressed look. "Vulpy!" she squeaked.

"Finally got through to you! What's up eh? This guy really an angel or something?" asked the Fox Spirit. Kiersa shut her eyes, dispelling the Maker's Sight before looking at the group once more. "...Something definitely..." she muttered to herself before bowing her head towards the armoured being. "As you say."

The blonde nun waved her hands a little and the Seraphim shields on both of the dissipated into the air, her own limbs ceasing to bleed now that the spells were removed from their targets. "It will take some time before I recast the shields though... just in case..." she informed the group as they delved deeper into the ruins with Ardere at the lead. She glanced over at Deniel every so often, biting her lower lip and fumbling with her fingers.

Part of her wanted to ask him what exactly he was, to try and figure it out... but another part of her didn't want to cause any animosity in the group with her prying... and she didn't know how exactly he'd react if she did try to ask him. Meanwhile Vulpecula was cuddling up to Ardere. "Sooo, know any other tricks with that sword of yours?~" she purred, her eyes glinting up at the Fire God Slayer.

Ardere arched a brow at Deniel's sentence about a command from an angel, while he did not know much about the former guild master, he was no newbie to holy beings. It made him remembered Tane, one of his former mission partners. But that was not important to the mission, and thus he would shrug it off. Kiersa seemed to be intrigued by it as well, but just with pure sensory, the fire mage could tell there was power within the other swordsman. He did not need any spell to see this, but he did not alert the group of this. Instead, he continued to take the lead. Unfortunately this was slightly interrupted by the fox spirit, who seemed to be somewhat infatuated with him. He tried to move a bit, but she appeared to be cuddling up to him. Letting out a slight sigh, his eyes darted across the walls to make sure no ambushes were in order. His mind couldn't help but go back to the fact that he did in fact have a girlfriend, Sayrn was on his mind quite often he found. The green haired scientist from Lamia Scale. It made him happy to think of her, but now was not the time for that. He could hear the crackling of flames, and rippling of wind closing in. If you'd move back a bit, I can show you. We've got company. Keeping his cool demeanor, the Sabertooth mage dashed out in front of the group.

Alright Clarent, let's do this, the fire mage thought to himself. Well in front of the group, he saw the salamanders and birds rushing towards them, but he also noticed their increased ferocity. Torrents of wind and flame would be launched towards them, as he began to channel the energy within the blade. Forming a large flaming dome around himself, which would be in front of the group, and cover the entire hall including the people behind him. Increased in strength by the ethernano in the air, the dome sufficiently protected the mages from the barrage of attacks. Taking no time to regain his sight, Ardere burst forward towards the elementals. Bringing his sword up, he slammed it down. You asked Ms spirit. A mountain range of black flames would burst from the ground beneath the spirits, black flames corrupting and ripping up the temple stone, slamming into all of the spirits it could hit. The roof rather than caving in, was completely incinerated. This spell with increased power by the ether, truly showcased how destructive god slayer flames could actually be. Now that he had engaged in combat, the other two mages could join in.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
Will-do, Nidhogg. Deniel concluded the thoughts on his mind with his sword. He followed the group closely behind, in case any of them ran into more trouble. Although he still preferred to remain in the back, he was able to jump out into the front lines in case something had attacked them. He was a little bit concerned with Kiersa's reaction to him, as if he had done something wrong. He knew that he wasn't completely an angel, but he lied about it for her benefit: if her Magic was dangerous to her then it was best if she refrained from using it. She'd be hurting herself a lot more than these elementals would hurt him. With each and every one of his footsteps, his armor gave a small clang to the ground, although it was only slight and barely noticeable, mostly due to the rain. Also due to the rain someone might not hear the faint vibrating and buzzing sounds coming from his empowered wings. Usually they did not give off this vibration, and were very stable, but the enhanced Magical Power that was given in the area caused them to become slightly unstable. Deniel could have even sworn that one time or another they deactivated themselves...

Looking back ahead, he saw that they were being attacked by yet another group of elementals. Practically the same that they had faced last time, which meant that Deniel had five more salamander-like fire elementals to take care of. Leaping right over Kiersa and standing behind Ardere, Deniel drew his blades in mid-air as he flipped himself all the way through. Standing very straight and tall on his two feet, Deniel made a graceful position waiting on his opportunity to attack. Once it was given, the first thing Deniel did was execute one of them in another graceful and brutal manner. He could have chosen to just cut one of them in half before going on to the other, but as he thought earlier, that was dull. "Prepare!" He called out just as he did before, and focused on one of the elementals. He dashed through it, cutting it once, before dashing the other way and cutting it again with the opposite sword. He repeated this around three times, before appearing just above it. "You're finished!" Letting gravity do the work, Deniel let his wings cease their functionality momentarily so he could dive down and impale both of his sword right inside of his back, and just like the other ones caused it to fade away from existence entirely.

Just as he finished defeating one of them, Deniel noticed a shift in his senses. Everything started to get a little wavy...perhaps even a little blurry. His weight stumbled a bit as his head felt light, as if he were under the effect of some kind of illusion or drug. He lost his balance entirely, and fell to his knees. His swords fell out of his hands and on to the ground as Deniel wobbled around. It didn't help the fact that he was in a thick and heavy suit of armor, so his balance and senses were cut off even further from it. This opened him to an attack by all of the fire salamanders, who ganged up on him at the same time while he was down with fiery assaults of Magic.

Vulpecula watched as Ardere let loose with his God Slayer flames against the elemental spirits, cooing at the sight of so much powerful fire... right up until she saw that the Angel mage was about to get bombarded by multiple blasts from the Salamanders. She jumped into the way of the attack, taking the brunt of several of them before dissipating back into the Celestial Realm from the strain to her body. "Vulpecula!" cried out the blonde nun at seeing the Fox Spirit "sacrifice" herself to try and lessen the blow to Deniel. "It's alright... just keep going..." the Fox Spirit said before she was completely gone from the human world.

Kiersa looked at where she'd been before looking to the Salamanders assaulting the divine being. "Clad mine flesh in thine vestments, sacred shield of the Dragon of Divinity, sheathe to the sacred blade of Arturia! Lend me thine light, and grace mine allies even as thou damn mine foes! Shine forth, Avalon!" the blonde nun invoked, a sharp pillar of light erupting around her, blinding the Elementals around the group before the light shattered to reveal her standing there in her artifact armour.

The armoured nun swiftly took up an L-shape stance and aimed her hands towards the Salamanders. "Stigmata of Longinus!" she invoked, her chest staining her robes with blood for a brief moment as the bolt of Holy magic shot forth from her hands, with far more power than she had anticipated, even with the apparent magical amplifications in the temple. The bolt seared into the Salamanders... but not before it passed by Deniel, and wavered somewhat, as if it were going to go for him instead... but it continued on its path towards the intended targets.

With the power boost from the Vestments of Avalon, combined with the increase in power from the etherno in the air, her Longinus shot straight through one of the Salamander Elementals, destroying it utterly. Seeing this from one of her less powerful spells, the armoured nun nodded to herself before rushing forwards. "You shall not harm one of the Maker's own!" she declared, leaping into the fray, as if she were going to punch them?! "Stigmata of Damocles, double!" the blonde armoured nun invoked, her hands falling lifeless as a pair of divine blades sprung forth from her wrists, each one finding its way into a Salamander each.

The Fire elementals once more found themselves destroyed from the onslaught of overwhelming divine power, and the blonde nun charged into the remainder, ending their existences as well. With the threats currently neutralised, she looked back to the kneeling angel and rushed over to him and then taking a knee before him. "I'm sorry your grace... I could not protect you properly as I said that I would, please forgive this lowly mortal." requested the Sabertooth Paragon, her head bowed towards Deniel as well.

Post by Ardere Kasai 8th September 2015, 5:51 pm

Ardere hung back for a moment, and let Deniel go to work, attacking the fire elementals. Then once it was safe, he would dash in to get to work on the wind elementals. Feeling the surge of energy from the ether running through his veins, all of his senses felt heightened. The only way to amply describe it would be like an ether high, even the changes in temperature from the crackling flames and cool breezes were obvious against his skin, but he did not mind it. In fact, he felt more energetic and excited to fight than before. The fire mage would dash in between the wind elementals, and slam his palm in the ground. Take this! The ground trembling and shaking like a miniature earthquake. Back and forth, up and down. Flames spewed out between the cracks in the stone, catching his opponents. His spell was not only powered up by the fact that he fused two spells, Flame God's Ragnarok, and his Tremor version one, but other reasons as well. The tattoos on his face were visible, boosting his fire magic, and the amount of ether in the air he was breathing in drastically increased the power of the spell fusion. He could tell Kiersa had activated some sort of ability, as he could now infuse his corrupted flames with holy magic. If the roof had not already been incinerated, it surely would have fallen on them now. The wind creatures were made into quick work by the fire king, as he sheathed his blade and turned to his allies.

Scoffing slightly at the nun's slight groveling towards Deniel, he seemed antsy to get back to fighting. He knew the man was powerful, but there was no reason to just get on one's knees and bow down to him. Tch, let's get going. Letting out an agitated sigh, he would guide the other mages deeper into the ruins once they were done. Winding, twisting wide halls throughout the temples as they walked. Soon they would find themselves in a much larger room than the hallways, something he could only describe as a Great Hall. Pillars lining the walls as support, bits of rubble from the temple scattered across the area. Vines crawling up the walls, the temple did still look to be quite sturdy. He imagined only powerful magic could take this great hall down, which was ironic as he could tell more enemies were coming. Strangely, he was excited to fight them. A bit more wild than before, he felt an urge to fight that he had not felt in a long time, prompting him to smirk as he kept his pale hands in his pockets, barely visible from his samurai armor.

    "A wanderer isn't always lost."
The Magic that would have hit him would have perhaps never bothered him at all. The armor that he wore protected him well, and such weak magic made by them would have never even burnt his skin underneath. However, the intoxicated state that he was in made it so he had no control over the current situation, and even much awareness to what happened. Someone...jumped in front of him? If he could see clearly? Everything was so blurry, and almost slowed down, even. The enhanced senses and reflexes that his Take Over had given him were amplified and drugged due to the overdose of the enhanced Magic. It was on a much higher scale with Deniel due to the sheer power and magnitude of his Take Over. Through the golden lenses, everything had actually started to appear gold, and seemed to morph and shift in various ways.

He turned to see Kiersa in a set of new armor, and charging up some form of a spell. Everything she did to him was in slow motion, and her voice was even quite deep and slow...almost like he could barely hear the words. He looked back to the salamanders swiftly, their shape twisted beyond recognition in his eyesight. What's going on!? He asked himself in his mind. He found that even his own thoughts to himself were in slow motion, making everything he thought of...slower? He really didn't know how to describe this surreal experience, and probably would never be able to. Seeing the rest of the Salamanders fall in slow motion, and helpless to say that he could handle it himself--even though he couldn't--the White Angel attempted to stand up to his feet. The command that he sent to his knee was heavily delayed compared to his original thought, and as a result he fell almost instantly with a loss of balance and being able to keep up.

Get a grip...come on, Deniel! Get up...get back...together. Come on...slowly... His thoughts were so slow, by the time Kiersa had finished dealing with the Fire Elementals, only then were his senses getting back to normal. The golden world before him started to become colored once more, and everything very slowly started to straighten himself out. Suddenly, he could hear everything clearly once more, and at a normal pace. When he went to look up at Kiersa, his head responded to his command almost immediately. Swiftly shaking his head at Kiersa's apology, Deniel sheathed both of his blades and stood up tall. Reaching up to his helmet, there was a part of his armor at his neck area that disconnected from it, allowing him to remove it. Underneath it was silver hair of the same length as it was before when it was black, and eyes as blue as the clear skies. His hair was quickly drenched and brushed down with the heavy rainfall. "Worry not, Kiersa. And should that happen again: no need to save me. I've felt a lot worse than a bit of fire. Trust me."

Placing it back on his head, the small piece of black armor between his neck and his helmet connected it once more, and sealed it shut. As if activating, the golden lenses of his helmet glowed once more. Turning his attention to Ardere, he followed him as he would guide him through the ruins deeper and further. Hopefully Deniel wouldn't run into the same epidemic of him being consumed by excessive Magic Power, for he could sense many foes awaiting them. And maybe even...a challenge?

Post by JaffaArchfiend 11th September 2015, 2:28 am

The blonde nun blinked in confusion for a moment, bringing her limp hand to her head as if she were suffering a headache, which in truth she partially was. "Wh-What..." she groaned before she replayed the last few moments in her mind. She shook her head clear, finding that it was actually getting harder to think straight now that she noticed it. Her eyes widened in shock before she looked to the other two mages with her. "The... The Etherno in the air... it... I think it's doing more than just, increasing our power..." she called out to them as they entered a grand looking hall, albeit in its ruined state it wasn't quite as grand as it may have once been.

"I... I think it's affecting... affecting our minds." the Sabertooth Ace struggled to get out the words. In the presence of Deniel's White Angel form, the blonde nun was finding it difficult to not keep her gaze lowered, or her body from kneeling in the presence of the divine magic he was wielding... whatever was going on in here, they had to deal with it and quickly. She struggled to think about how to shield their minds from the effects of the Etherno filtering through their bodies, but couldn't think of any way that wouldn't cause them all to suffer serious brain damage.

The only recourse that Kiersa could think of was for them to get out of the temple as soon as it was possible to do so... but they couldn't do that as they still had to delve deeper into the ruins in order to deal with this Elemental Deity that was lurking within its heart. The situation they found themselves in was growing more and more dire. The blonde nun didn't know if this assault on their minds would leave them permanently altered, or if it would fade with their departure from the ruins... or if the deity at the centre of this place was the one causing the disturbances generating so much Etherno.

If the Primal Elemental God at the heart of these ruins was the one responsible for the Etherno infection spreading through their bodies, then they had to take it down as soon as possible... only problem being that there all these other Elementals getting in their way. That and she was slowly losing blood due to her continued use of the Stigmata magic. At this rate of progress, she may just wind up passing out by the time they actually reached the Elemental God they were here to deal with.

Speaking of Elementals, the blonde nun could see them filtering into the hall around them. "We're surrounded..." said Kiersa as she tried to stand back to back with the other two mages, going over their options. There were quite a lot of them... this was going to hurt. A lot.
