There was a story, of a girl who never knew who she was back then, dependent and longing to realize the dream which may seem impossible. She desires it so much that it was just the same as a child on the ground, raising her arms up high to reach the stars, a utopia that she believed in and a utopia which she cannot reach herself. Lost and alone, she takes refuge, existing in other people’s happiness in hopes to materialize the nostalgia that had left her, to find a home and to return home. Painful the memory was, remedied under the sound of the piano. With each step, her sanity breaks, like glass she is all but fragile and once she breaks, forever shall she be lost in the abyss.
And so ladies and gentleman may I present to you the opening act….
The night had never looked so young, the stars were decorated across the skies, giving life to the atmosphere, the Neutral grounds, the land that refused the world, no powers on earth may ever change its course, and even the will of Etherion refuses to rain down judgment. A rose shimmers, it sparkles beneath the night, forlorn for the fields that held its kind, having to bloom in a lifeless building by the window for that the illuminant glow of the moon was the last thing it ever sees. Petals scatter before the stream of Malignance, secluded and isolated from the streets; a little girl emerges from the back alley skipping merrily into the forages only to emerge unscathed. She tilted her head to left and right and stared at the direction she is supposed to go. An eerie atmosphere envelops her presence, even simple animals avoided contact with this little girl. For hours she walked in hopes to find whatever she is looking for, driven by a feeling of nostalgia that lead her there. Her eyes were darted yellow as the entire sclera was as crimson like that of human blood. From someone who appeared to be devoid of all feelings earlier, a smile formed on her face as she sees the person she wanted to see, the very man that created her.
From a small smile, she flashed an inhuman grin which had horrified the person to run. Sweat dropped from their face and they were pale, almost as if they have seen a ghost. To this person, it wasn’t supposed to happen for that they were sure that the little girl they knew who was chasing them had already departed to a land far away but they were wrong. No matter how fast this person ran, the little girl that was chasing them followed behind, appearing to be around the age of 14-15 her giggles and laughter echoed into his mind, driving him insane.
It begins
Hey there, I’ve finally found you
You’re the only one, that I want to play and talk to
Hey there, will you stop running
Are we playing tag? But why are you loudly screaming?
Hey you’re very funny
Watch your step, dear Joseph
You’re the only one, that I want to play and talk to
Hey there, will you stop running
Are we playing tag? But why are you loudly screaming?
Hey you’re very funny
Watch your step, dear Joseph
The moment was shaped by the sound of an organ playing as Joseph ran to what appears to be an old structure that was once a home. Wood was decaying and cracks are evident on the entire structure, cobwebs were decorated on the corners. Having feared the little girl too much, he was losing his sense of balance; his clumsiness was brought out by his anxiety for the weights of his sins have finally caught up to him at last. It also triggered Nausea which gave him more harm than good and thus as soon as he reaches the front door, he slams it shut making use of the 5 locks that go with it. He was sweating pig, being chased by what it seemed to be a terrifying predator, praying that he’d escape this horror.
As the little girl skipped merrily, she stops at an old abandoned building made of wood and clay, she tilted her head left and right and with the shrug of her shoulders, she walked slowly over to the door. The abandoned home Joseph was in had no power or electricity whatsoever but he was shocked to hear the sound of the doorbell ringing throughout the entire house.
I know you can hear me
So open up the door
I only want to play a little!
So open up the door
I only want to play a little!
The man shook his head and covered his ears as his nausea got worst. Trembling in fear, sitting by the door in hopes that the nightmare he’s living in will soon blow over. Everything fell into silence and an hour was spent, he remains seated by the door only to have slightly recovered from his nausea. His footsteps produced on sound whatsoever as he looked over by the window. It seems the little girl who was chasing him was gone, or so he thought.
As soon as two of the locks were unlocked, he checked the window again, only to be greeted by the face of the little girl and the sound of the doorbell. His body froze for a moment, before he jumps back and falls down on his back.
You can’t keep me waiting
It’s already too late
For you to try and run away!
I see you through the window!
Our eyes are locked together!
I can sense your horror
Though I’d like to see it closer!
The door began to shake, almost as if there was wind trying to blow it over, the nails shot through the hallway like it was some kind of bullet as the locks of the door slowly fail their purpose, one by one. Joseph was paralyzed by fear and the sound of the door bell ringing acted as a stimulus, telling Joseph to run and hide and find a way to slip under her nose like a cunning serpent and head straight back into the city. It’s already too late
For you to try and run away!
I see you through the window!
Our eyes are locked together!
I can sense your horror
Though I’d like to see it closer!
Hurry up and run!
Let’s play a little game and have fun!
Let’s play a little game and have fun!
By the time the wooden door had collapsed, Joseph already had retreated to the second floor and was out of the little girl’s sight. The backdoor of the house was opened, implying that he had escaped, the man prayed that he’d fall for the bait only to have been spooked by the doorbell again.
Where is it you’ve gone to?
Do you think you’ve won?
Our game of hide and seek has just begun!
Do you think you’ve won?
Our game of hide and seek has just begun!
As soon as the little girl ascended to the second floor, the man started to sprint towards the third floor. The house itself wasn’t doing him any favor for that the floorboards creaked with each step he makes. The little girl stood still blocking the only way down to the first floor. In a desperate attempt, the man tried to break out through the windows, unfortunately for him, they windows were too durable for him and he was running out of time.
I can hear your footsteps!
Thumping loudly through the hallways!
I can hear your sharp breaths!
You’re not very good at hiding!
Thumping loudly through the hallways!
I can hear your sharp breaths!
You’re not very good at hiding!
The glass of the window was suddenly fogged by a black mist, forming what appeared to be an expression making an inhuman grin, similar to what the little girl shown earlier. There was no other option, he has to hide and buy time to come up with a plan before he’s done in. There was no way out of the second floor except for the place where the little girl was. Her voice rang inside Joseph’s head and summoned back the nausea he had earlier.
Just wait you can’t hide from me!
I’m coming…
Just wait you can’t hide from me…
I’m COMING…
Just wait, you can’t hide from ME!
I’M COMING!
“Just wait you can’t hide from me!
I’m coming…
Just wait you can’t hide from me…
I’m COMING…
Just wait, you can’t hide from ME!
I’M COMING!
“Just wait you can’t hide from me!
His heart thumped violently as his footsteps and quickly hid inside what appears to be a bedroom of sorts. The very least he can do is fight her off and make his escape and to do so he had to ambush her. It was the only solution available to him now that all the windows were barred with a strange black mist. He gathered whatever courage he can summon but soon it was shattered by the overwhelming fear he had when the little girl started knocking on his door.
I am at your door now.
I am coming in
No need to ask permission
I am coming in
No need to ask permission
A final knock on the door, caused the very barrier to collapse, open a path and exposing Joseph’s last place of refuge.
I’m inside your room, now
Where is it you’ve hid?
Our game of hide and seek’s about to end!
I’m coming closer!
Looking underneath your bed but
You’re not there, I wonder.
Where is it you’ve hid?
Our game of hide and seek’s about to end!
I’m coming closer!
Looking underneath your bed but
You’re not there, I wonder.
“… could you be inside the closet!”
The man froze in place, his short breaths gave him away, as the closet doors opened she made an inhuman grin. The doorbell rings violently in joy as if to congratulate her for finding the man she was about to kill.
I have found you.
You were hiding here
Now you’re it
Finally found you dear,
NOW YOU’RE IT
Looks like I have won
NOW YOU'RE IT!
Pay the consequence!
You were hiding here
Now you’re it
Finally found you dear,
NOW YOU’RE IT
Looks like I have won
NOW YOU'RE IT!
Pay the consequence!
The last words the man hears came from her mouth as his vision blurred. He was struck by a few needles that weren’t very visible to the naked eye, unless one looks close enough. His vision was robbed from him, then his sense of audition and finally stillness puts him to rest. As the man fell into the darkness, the little girl relished in crimson red, fervently drinking the blood, a predator who’s finally caught her prey. In a matter of minutes, the game ended and the consequences were paid for that Joesph has been completely drained of blood.
The little girl giggled as she once again skipped merrily back into the streets, baiting those who dare prey on her.
