New Player in Town

Hello everyone! I've done a lot of roleplaying in the past, but never anything like this before, I've taken a look at all the rules so far and am surprised at how many complex rules there are, it almost feels like I'm going to be playing D&D, rather than a forum based roleplay lol.

Currently I do have 'some' of my character worked out, but I cannot really decide what magic to give her, I usually have too many ideas and I also tend to check out characters to make sure I'm not 'stealing' anything.

That being said, I'm surprised there's no Mermaid Heel guild yet, since in my experience they usually were one of the more active guilds, but I assume something happened or no one has felt like starting it?

I hope I can make some friends and no fry my brain trying to understand ALL of the rules (that bit about takeover for example nearly made me crosseyed lol) and I look forward to roleplaying with hopefully more than a handful of you!
