Nested Rumors (Story Job)

He had moved away from the corpse he had just dealt with and started to look for openings in the last two enemies near them but they somehow were able to dodge pretty well and shot off blasts of energy at the right times to deal with any possible holes he could have gotten through.

He sighed as he thought that this whole thing would be a lot harder than he thought it should be and was about to jump in thinking that he would have to be injured more in order to finish the last two men off quickly but before he could do anything, someone else did.

The naked girl he was with had managed to find her way behind one of the men before he could act which caught them off guard as well as him a bit. Even after seeing what she was capable of they all still didn't think much of her it seemed. He quickly stopped focusing his blades on the Researcher she had found in her grasp and put all of his focus on the other. He made sure to watch her back from the corner of his eyes as he moved all of his blades to attack the last enemy. She looked to have raw power at her grasp but didn't seem like she was too trained in using it yet.

He caused four of his blades to attack the last Researcher from all sides but the Researcher managed to use a energy spell that threw out a barrier around him and pushed objects away which sent each of the Tanka away from him and around the room. Cirven sprinted towards the Researcher while dodging his blasts of energy. The thing the Researcher didn't get was this was just a distraction for the Tanka to attack. As he was distracted about Cirven's approach, two of the Tanka flew in from behind him and slashed across his back. This stunned him from the sudden pain but that was enough time for another two of the Tanka to fly in and stab the man through his chest. A pure shocked look formed over his face as Cirven simply stopped and just shrugged. "You were out of your league it seemed like. No equipment could ready you for what I can do." He spoke out as he pulled the Tanka out of the Researcher from a distance while calling his weapons back and then let the man's body fall limp. Quickly used one of his blades to stab through the other Researcher that the girl had attacked earlier upon seeing it was still moving.

Cirven then looked over the Tanka to see that they were getting fairly damaged from all the fighting. He grunted at the sight as it didn't look too good. His inspection of his blades was cut short as the girl rushed to him with some sort of small lizard creature and asked him to hold it in a broken speech pattern. "Mayu? OK.. Are you some sort of cavewoman or something? You don't sound like you can talk very well. Guess I shouldn't complain with how you weren't really talking much at all earlier." He shrugged while holding Mayu as the girl pulled a coat from one of the bodies that were laid out. "By the way, are you really fine with just killing enemies like this?" He didn't really listen to her warning of more enemies because he already knew the danger they were in. He had to make sure that this girl knew what she was getting into.

Lumina finished buttoning up the the coat, she had hear the mans comment about being a cave-woman, she understood that it was a insult. She put it out of her mind as she stood up and looked around, she had no clue where she was, or when for that matter. "wh..at..day is it" Lumina coughed again. "What..year." She understood that she had been asleep for sometime. But how long. "And no... I am not a cave-woman." She stretched and yawned again. "We need to go." Her speech was getting better faster and faster, she was remembering things at this point, nothing major names and other things. She remember her role now, she looked back to the man holding Mayu. "You be careful with her now that shes awake." Lumina pointed at the man.

When she was looking around Mayu had opened her eyes, she didn't make any noise just stared up at the man, her ruby red eyes and was blinking at him. When Lumina pointed at him she nuzzled the mans hand and peeped, She had never walked on this earth and was the last of her kind to do so. The man didn't even know the treasure he held in his hands, the little dragon nibbled on the mans hand to get his attention. She clearly wanted petted or something, she would naw on his hand until he gave her some attention.

Lumina smiled as she watched Mayu via for some attention, that man had just become very important. She motioned for him to follow, "lets g-get out of here." Lumina croaked, "You don't expect to leave a baby dragon in conditions like this no? Do have a place i can take her to keep her safe and fed?" Lumina paused and cleared her throat again. "She... She is the last Rose Dragon, her name is Mayu Rubyscale. Lumina could hear foot steps coming their way, She clicked her tongue. "And to answer your questions... Death is a integral part of life. So in short I'm fine with killing as long as it serves a purpose. That's what mom always said." Lumina stopped and though about what she had just said, Mom? who was her mom? She could not remember anything, she felt like she should and it was gonna bug her. She thought about it as she moved to the exit of the cave, the only thing she remember was a name, Lotussia. She felt the name was important but could not place whos it was, and how did she know Mayu was the last Rose Dragon? All Lumina had was questions, she had to find a place that would help her find answers.

He started to notice that the girl's speech was getting better and better the longer she was moving around. He thought that maybe she wasn't such a cave woman which would help him a lot with understanding her and keep things from being a huge headache with teaching her a language he could understand. She picked up the creature on the ground that she had come out of the egg with. He barely noticed it earlier because of its size but figured it was some sort of pet to the girl or something. She then gave it to him causing him to be slightly confused because she was throwing a lot of trust at someone she barely knew and did it quickly.

Cirven looked down at the scaly creature he was holding and watched her as she kept gnawing at his hand for some reason. He figured it was for attention and moved his other hand slowly and easily to the creatures head and pet her. He didn't completely trust it yet and didn't want to lose a few fingers by petting it the wrong way.

"I can tell you all that stuff once we get out of here. I will do my best to take care of this-" He looked at Lumina and then back at the creature in his hands perplexed by what she had said. By what she had called the creature. "Wait, wait. This is a dragon? And the last dragon of its kind? No wonder they were looking for this nest..." He looked down at the creature and rubbed its head again. "Mayu, huh? I didn't even know dragons got last names.." He shifted his focus from the small dragon and back onto the girl while he continued to pet the beast in his hands. "Glad to hear that we are on the same page here, by the way. These guys probably will not feel any sort of guilt for killing any of us. What ever they want from us can always be something they can get from our dead bodies."

He followed her not really knowing if she knew where she was going or had to go. "Be careful. We need to make sure we aren't seen or anything on our way out." Just as he finished the sound of enemies shuffling through the plant life around them was heard by him. They were pretty close and getting closer. He changed Irritum back into its base form and then back into a hair pin to be put into his hair to be more stealthy "We gotta move and quietly. They aren't too far away and if we get caught we will probably have to fight more and exhaust ourselves more and more until they are able to overwhelm us. It's a typical strategy they would use to get what they want. I'll lead the way because I probably know this place a lot better than you do." He stepped in front of her and moved quickly on his feet while lightly stepping on the ground.

'Monster Dice' :

Lumina listened to what the man had to say, she watched as he petted Mayu. Who started purring like a cat, Lumina smiled as Mayua had accepted the man as a protector.  Lumina stretched a little before they took off, Lumina could hear a small fight outside which had her confused was their more. She picked up her pace a bit and headed down a tunnel ahead of the man and Mayu. She peeked outside, she saw a bunch of men fighting...a wolf? Lumina smiled, that would work just fine, she motioned back. "Hey you make a break for the woods, if one sees you ill deal with them." Lumina was itching for a fight, on top of the fact she was unknown to these men at this point. She was not stupid, just impulsive, "go!" She laughed as the Man eater came racing up the tunnel, the last remains of the past enemy's sticking out of it mouth. It waddled past the man and her right into the skirmish of the wolf and men. Lumina sighed as the mans little plan just fell apart cause of the Man eater, which was clearly greedy for more food. Lumina could not help but laugh some more, the thing had already eaten 4 people and still wanted more.

The Man Eater made right for the closet man, who was busy fighting the wolf. The Man eater bit his foot and tugged him backwards, he cried out and turned, only to have the wolf jump on him and bite the man on the back of the neck, Man eater bull rushed the wolf of the man. This started a fight between the Man eater the that particular wolf, one that the man eater lost sadly. Thankfully nobody had time to react to anything they were to busy with the wolves, Lumina looked back again. "Go... I'll catch up." and with that Lumina charged out to assist the wolf and her man eater, she made for a man who had just finished off a wolf and slugged him in the base of the spine with all her might. He cried out and collapsed to the ground. Lumina didn't want to let him cry out to long, trying to finish him before the other got to much time to react. She raised her foot to stomp on the mans face but had to roll to the side as one of the others send a beam attack at her. She kicked Man eater, "Food..." The plant hopped up and down then charged at them.

He really didn't know what to say to the girl. She went from being something like some random person who had just been practically birthed from an egg that could barely talk to a fully functioning person with her own ideas for how they should deal with things. He guessed she didn't really get to understand what his magic was earlier much at all and she just decided to handle things on her own. He listened to her but planned to make sure that she did not get too far away from him. Cor Torva was after her just as much as the small dragon in his arms.

"Keep up with me and don't get too far behind with fighting them. We need to escape from this and don't need to fight them all." He then waited for the men to be too distracted with the girl's plant pet and the wolf before running off a bit into the forest area. He didn't get too far ahead though and waited for the girl to hurry up with her distraction and catch up with him because after all she didn't know where she was going.

He heard a crunching noise near him and quickly jumped to the side. He managed to barely dodge a blast of electricity that scorched the plant life where he was just standing. "Looks like you were trying to go somewhere when we were just starting the party.." A voice came out from a the Sworn Elite who had been helping the two earlier men showing that Lumina had failed in distracting all of the enemies and let one get away. Cirven shrugged at the man. "There wasn't enough good snacks for me to stay. I just lost interest." The Sworn Elite smiled. "Maybe we can add 'failure son' to the snacks to keep you around." Cirven had Irritum come out from his hair, morph into its sword form and float next to him. "I think cutting you up a bit will keep me around the best."

The Sworn Elite didn't keep up the conversation and lunged towards Cirven with his sword swinging down towards him. Irritum moved and blocked the blade but the Sworn Elite acted quickly and kicked his foot up and hit Cirven, knocking him back some. Irritum then pushed the Sworn Elite's blade away and Cirven locked eyes with the Sworn Elite. Irritum reacted quickly and moved at the man where it swung down towards him. The Sworn Elite blocked the attack but Irritum started to glow into a white light as it changed into multiple daggers and swarmed over the Sworn Elite who tried to block the daggers but could not block them all.

Lumina didn't wait for them to attack her again, the wolf had one occupied and the other was busy with the Man Eater, She didn't see the last one. "Awww." Lumina saw his back leave after the man she had met. She tore after him, but he was faster than her, she didn't give up though she followed him until she lost sight of him and then kept running. She came to a halt and looked around, she could not see the man or the enemy, a sense of dread came over her. Where was her sister, where was Mayu. The area became a blur of panic and anger, how could she let Mayu just leave here sight like that. Lumina stopped and looked around, she stopped and calmed herself, closing her eyes she she spread her consciousnesses out amongst the trees. She was everywhere at the same time a odd feeling for sure but one she had felt before. She searched as far as she could, it took a few minutes until she spotted the Man and one enemy, they were not far from her. She ended the spell and looked started moving in the direction.

She started running, she had seen them start fighting and that put Mayu in danger. She kept running until she came within range of the two men, where she stopped. Lumina looked around for a seed of any kind, she found one in the form of a berry bush, where she pulled a berry from it. She ran out and yelled at the man, "HEY! OVER HERE!" The man dodged a attack from the guy who had found her and turned to engage her.

Lumina threw the seed at the man, it bounced of his chest and started to fall to the ground. "really? is that th..." He was cut off as the seed exploded into a flurry of spiked vines, grabbing at him and pulling him down to the ground. Lumina walked right past him right up to the man holding Mayu, where she pulled the little dragon from his arms. "Thank you..." She cast a look at the man who was being grappled by the strangle vines. "Please don't put Mayu in danger again." Lumina cradled the little ruby colored dragon and walked off leaving the two men where they were. She was mad at herself for leaving someone else to do her job, she kept walking in a random direction, perhaps the man would catch up and give her some directions.

The daggers dissolved into light and came back together as they formed back into Irritum's base form. Cirven grinned while still holding the dragonling in his arms. He didn't see the Sworn Elite as too much of a thread but that changed as he felt somewhat weak. He had been using a lot of magical power to fight all of the enemies so far and was running low. He would have to rely on his sword skills to deal with the man in front of him and would have to wait for his magical power to recover more before doing another spell.

The Sworn Elite acted quickly after being hit by multiple daggers and swung down on Irritum with a heavy but quick blow. Cirven was confused at first as he simply blocked the block with Irritum but then he noticed the flames building over the Sworn Elite's blade. He quickly moved Irritum out of the way of the blade as the Sworn Elite put all his strength behind forcing his own blade down causing a raging flame to be sent out and collide with the ground.

"Looks like I was right in assuming that this blade was everything to you, hmm? You would not have dodged my attack on it otherwise." The Sworn Elite spoke out as he then rushed towards Irritum again. The man was much smarter than he seemed but if Irritum had not taken so much damage earlier then this would not have been such a problem. Through the symbiotic link Irritum and Cirven had though he could tell that the blade was close to breaking from all of the damage it had sustained. So close that any direct attack on the blade that it could not block completely or parry would break it.

So Cirven had Irritum dodge around and parry attacks fearing that if the blade was broken he would be at a complete disadvantage. The Sworn Elite gave up an opening though that Cirven quickly reacted to only for it to be dodged easily. He was baited by the Sworn Elite and had no way of stopping what would happen next. The Sworn Elite raised his hand up as flames built into it and he prepared to fire a blast at Irritum to destroy it.

Luck was on Cirven's side as a female voice called out and a seed hit the Sworn Elite. "What is a seed-" Cirven started to speak as the Sworn Elite did but ended up being just as surprised as him as the seed expanded into vines and constrained his enemy. "Never mind..." He said simply as Lumina came up to him and took Mayu from him and make her way the opposite direction from the trapped Sworn Elite. "Hey! You are just going to walk away like that? You know the-" He looked towards her and started to speak as she walked away but stopped as he saw a light from the corner of his eyes.

He turned to see the Sworn Elite building fire magic up around his body to burn away the vines and quickly sent Irritum towards him. The flames erupted out and burnt away the vines causing a grin to form over the Sworn Elite's face until he felt a burning sensation in his chest and looked down to see Irritum had stabbed him through the chest. The blade then broke in half from the flames hitting it but the Sworn Elite fell over in agony.

Cirven simply walked over and picked up the pieces of Irritum and shrugged. "Looks like we both got what we wanted. I beat you and you destroyed my weapon." Was the last words the Sworn Elite heard as he died. Cirven ran off to catch up to Lumina who looked to be senselessly moving through the forest area with no idea where she was going but deeper into it. He caught up to her and spoke hoping that she was the only one hearing him. "Hey, Lumina! We need to sneak around here before we get overwhelmed. If we don't then we might as well start screaming out where we are now."
