Name: Arata Akamine
Gender: Male
Age: 23
Birthday: 04/23
Sexuality: Straight
Special Characteristics: Arata was born with the ability to change the length of his hair and the color of his hair and eyes at will.
Personality: Normally, Arata is very kind, and will go out of his way to help others, another thing worth noting is the fact that he is a pacifist, refusing to hurt anything, no matter what is in it for him. Arata is also extremely social, often liked by most of his allies, unless they are people with no appreciation for kindness. However, strangely enough, some of Arata's core ideals are directly conflicting. He is a pacifist, one hundred percent against causing any pain, however, he also wants to rid the world of all bad things, including bad people. The only reason these two ideals are able to conflict is because of the fact that Arata has put himself under the illusion that he can make anyone good, and that with enough persuasion, even the worst people in the world can potentially become good people, people fit to help Arata achieve his Utopia. Arata believes that if you don't succeed the first time, well then you should try, try again. He uses his genetic ability to change his eyes and hair in order to do this, drastically changing his look and clothes over and over again to talk to bad people multiple times. Arata's method of battle, as one could consider it, may seem terribly inefficient, but being as persuasive as he is, Arata often succeeds in turning people to his side, at least temporarily. Arata functions very well under a leader, doing what they say and not questioning them under it is an appropriate times to do so. He also functions very well as a leader due to his skills in persuasion. But none of this matters once the Shackles of the Damned take over.
The Shackles of the Damned is a curse, meant for Arata's father. However, his father shoves the then toddler Arata in the way, causing the shackles to bind to him. The only thing that one has to know about the Shackles is that once they deem that Arata is acting too nice, the wrap around him tighter, causing severe burns and warping the man's personality to the point where he is the polar opposite of who he once was. Once the Shackles are tight enough, Arata's pacifist beliefs fade away, as does his desire for a Utopia. All he wants is chaos. But he does not want people to know that he is causing it, Arata wants to cause immense pain, but he wants to remain a ghost, shrouded behind a veil of mystery. But once the Shackles wrap even tighter, Arata does not care. He just wants to cause pain in order to make his own pain go away. Arata does not care if he commits murder, mass murder, or even genocide, he will do absolutely anything, just to get the Shackles to loosen, even if it is just a smidgen. Arata's combat style while wearing the Shackles of the Damned differs depending on how tight they are, but one thing is for sure, there will be death. Lots of it. As a leader, Arata functions fairly well, able to command his forces, but he does not function nearly as well as he does when the Shackles haven't taken over. Under a leader, however, he does not function well at all, blatantly disregarding his leader and doing whatever it is that he sees fit in the situation.
However, once the Shackles have loosened, Arata has perfect memory of what it is that he has done. Because of this, he tries to repent as much as possible, doing what he can to make his Utopia real. However, he also stays in hiding, afraid to hurt anyone if they get near him. Arata does what he can to live with the Shackles, but hates them, along with his father for putting them on him, with all of his guts. This burning hatred fuels him, he uses this hatred to keep going, no matter how much guilt he feels over his actions while possessed.

- Rainbows: Arata loves rainbows, they're so nice and colorful and they make him feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
- Butterflies: Arata loves butterflies because they're basically just living rainbows, and Arata loves rainbows!
- Chocolate: Words cannot even express how much Arata loves chocolate. He adores it more than rainbows and butterflies combined, and that is definitely saying something.
Dislikes:
- Hurting people: Arata is as delicate as a butterfly, and hurting anyone even in the slightest is something he very much dislikes.
- Brown: Ew. It's just... ew. Nothing else is needed to be said here.
- Q: Arata isn't exactly sure why he does not like the letter Q, but for some reason he feels like it is an underused letter that is really sort of pointless.
Motivations:
- Helping people: Arata loves helping people, and whenever he helps someone, he gets a warm, fuzzy feeling inside.
- Ridding the world of bad things: Arata wants to rid the world of everything bad, in his mind, there is some sort of perfect Utopia in the near future.
- Making friends: Arata wants friends, well, more friends than he already has. Being one of the most socially connected people in the world is one of his most important goals.
Fears:
- Pain: Arata does not want to get hurt, and he believes he will not get hurt in the Utopia he wants to create.
- Burning: Burns terrify the heck out of Arata, mostly because of the pain they are capable of causing.
- Ladybugs: While they seem to be the cutest of bugs, Arata find everything about them terrifying.
