Player Requirements:
Must be Elizabeth Silvershield. This job can only be soloed.
Job Requirements:
Must conquer the temple of the Shadow Clan. Minimum of 40 posts with 500 words each.
Job Location:
Phoenix Mountains
Job Description:
Deep within the Phoenix Mountains, wisely hidden by the ancient, can be found only by the chosen one, the descendant of Zed, Master of Shadows, the one to inherit the blessing of the shadows, and also its curse. The temple, hidden from the greedy eyes, stands tall, in perfect conditions, among the vegetation in the mountain, is the home made for the members of the Shadow Clan: a clan that is to be established once the descendant of Zed rises and gains control over his powers, and that feels ready to gather those strong enough to form a part of it, and become followers of the descendant of Zed, who, among conquering this temple, will receive the title of the new Master of Shadows. Did I say Conquer? Yes, conquer.
In order to avoid greedy humans and worthless scum to make its way inside the precious temple and reach its riches, Zed, the first of the Shadow Clan, has placed many traps to test the force of his descendant and prove it is not only him or her, but also that whoever inherited his powers is worthy to receive the title of Master of Shadows. These traps are planned to prove both the mental and physical strength of the descendant, putting him through a series of puzzles that need to be solved in order to access certain rooms, tests of sanity, battles with enemies... The temple is filled with perils only the future Master of Shadows can deal with. Only him alone.
Upon retrieving a book from the Haunted Village that explains the story of Zed and the temple, Elizabeth feels determined and ready to conquer the temple and nominate herself the new Master of Shadows. Alone, she will have to face an adventure unlike any other, in which not only her sanity, her precious sanity, will be put on test, but also her mental and physical fortitude, with the price to pay in case of failure being her life, or worse, her sanity.
In order to reach the Shadow Temple, and obtain the title of Master of Shadows, oficially,Elizabeth will have to break her way through 3 different groups of enemies, each guarding a determined thing; the first group guards the entrance to the Forest, and, the path towards the Shadow Temple, in particular. Placed there to keep the path from being discovered from strangers, and to test the Descendant's physical fortitude, the beasts that guard the path, have attacks mostly based on physical force, and thus, will present the more combat-oriented part of the task, while the other two revolve around both combat and logical thinking in equal measures. Breaking through them will require disposing of every enemy that comes into the way. The second group are the enemies that guard the entrancce to the Shadow Temple. Those, unlike the previous, who attacked alone, will attack in groups of many, stealthed in the shadows. Insane combat skills, and a stragedy are required in order to defeat this group in particular. Although, naturally, defeating them would be rather rewarding; for defeating them means that the Descendant is worthy to face the third group, inside the temple, and solve all its mysteries, and traps, set to avoid random newcomers, and to protect the temple until the arrival of the new Master of Shadows.
And the last group of enemies to face in this job, is, the one within the template. The template, not only offering a plethora of almost impossible tasks and brain games, will have guards hiding in each corner, awaiting to defeat the person that has proved to be worthy enough to reach this point, the person that deserved the title of Master of Shadows, that deserves to lead the shadow clan.
Enemies:
First Stage: The Woods
Weak: Pack of Shadow Werewolves (x10); The most primal creature that will be faced on the way to the temple, are, without doubt, the Shadow Werewolves. Bloodthirsty and merciless, those creatures were created in order to prove a challenge to the Master of Shadows once he decided to make his way towards the Temple, and still complete that function, yet... not in the same way they did before. Previously more rational creatures, created by Zed, those now wild beasts gave into the Bloodthirst through the years, leaving their rational side aside. They do not posess magic; nobody in the first 2 stages does. Although, they do excell in close quarters combat, their basic damage deeler being their jaw (teeth) and claws, each dealing B Ranked damage with each hit. They know how to hunt in a pack, and always attack together, willing to take down and rip their target apart. Each of the 10 wolves takes 1 A Ranked hit to be destroyed (Or 2B Ranked, hits, etc).
Normal: Demon Servants [b] (x2): Another one of Zed's creations, and yet another one who gave in to the bloodthirst and became a primal, yet intelligent being. Previously known as one of Zed's best Creations, those potent, intelligent creatures will think of anything that would help them destroy the Master of Shadows, and use a plethora of tactics in order to attempt to put an end to the life of the descendant of Zed, using deception, lies, and mind games in order to attempt to delete their target from existance. Each deal B Ranked damage with either their claws or teeth, and need 3B Ranked hits to die.
Strong: Humanoid [A]: The Humanoid was once a human, member of the Shadow Clan before Zed sealed it that, apparently, did not manage to go through all the callenges, could not mantain his sanity and simply turned into a beast, a primal beast that only follows one thing, a single desire; to kill. It, much like the other creatures that habitate the woods, does not possess weaponry, much less magic. It basically uses claws and its jaw to fight, the major part of its damage coming from scratching enemies and biting them, both dealing A Ranked damage. The monster requires 7 B Ranked hits before it dies.
Boss: Shadow Demon [A]: Every single one of the shadow beasts mentioned above fear it. The Shadow Demon is the most vile, cruel creature to inhabitate the forrest. Being nearly seven feet tall, the enormous beast, driven by an insane killer instinct and a desire to exterminate anything that sets foot in the forrest. It is powerful, much more powerful than all of the monsters mentioned above, and much more intelligent. It doesn't charge directly at the Master of Shadows, no. It observes his movements and awaits the correct moment to charge and strike. It deals A Ranked damage with its claws, jaw and even wings, which it uses to cut people with the sharp ends, rather than fly. It takes a total of 12B Ranked hits to die. This monster, in addition, prooves that all enemies encountered from now on will posess a higher intelligence; for it, to differ from the monsters mentioned above, can speak.
[b]Second Stage: The Entrance
Weak: The Cult of the Shadows (B): The voices inside of the Master of Shadows' head... They were real the whole time. They were actual creatures, that had been living inside the Master of Shadows' head all this time, and now that the Master of Shadows is approaching the temple of the Shadow Clan, at long last, they materialize, they return to their "living" forms to torment the Master of Shadows outside his head, and possibly, try to kill him. A total of 10 Shadows come out, and each deals B Ranked damage with their large nails. Each member of the cult needs A Ranked damage to go down.
Normal: The Black Widow (A): The Black Widow... Zed's first and only lover, who died in his hands once he achieved the power of the Shadows, and "reincarnated" as the Black Widow, a beautiful, yet lethal shadow Lady, with incredible intelligence, possibly supperior than that of any of the other creatures that the Master of Shadows has to face. Instead of trying to rip your face off instantly, the Black Widow will first begin speaking... Endless phrases trying to convince the Master of Shadows that he, or she in this case, is an evil creature that causes suffering, that the curse placed upon them should have been even worse, that the looks of the Master of Shadows make her only more and more perillous, and that she is sorry for anyone who has ever fallen even slightly for her. Once she notices that her words have no effect, she will begin the actual fight.... Without ever going near the Master of Shadows. The main attack of this entity, consists basically in releasing a blood-chilling scream, which, thanks to the fact that the Black Widow is a magical entity, deals B Ranked damage constantly, while it sounds. Once she begins screaming, the Black Widow won't shut up by herself, and will deal B Ranked damage each post that she spends screaming, until someone somehow shuts her mouth. Sounds easy, huh? The agility and abnormal speed of this creature make it nearly impossible, yet once you catch her, she needs 4B Ranked hits to disappear.
Strong: Fallen Angel [A]: Yet another creature, that was alligned with Zed, and swore to stay in this temple and protect it from intruders, until the Master of Shadows arrives. This creature, aside from Zed himself, is perhaps the only one in the entire temple that does not desire the death of the Master of Shadows, but only tries to test her strength. Carrying a long sword, this creature will try its best to harm the Master of Shadows, without killing him, and test how powerful she is, in both combat on earth... and in the air. Ocassionally, the Angel will take himself and Elizabeth up in the air, in order to see how she manages in an environment, where she isn't used to fight, not on the hard, stable earth, but in air. His main source of damage is his sword, which deals A Ranked damage. He requires 6B Ranked hits to go down and die.
Boss: The Keymaster [A]: May his name not fool you; although he sounds like the typical, weak old man that guards the keys to a location, the keymaster is actually a mage mastermind, who can control shadows to the perfection. A psychopath, he adores playing with the mind of his victim and mocking them, before destroying them via a shower of insanely powerful AoE spells. The only way to enter the temple, is if he is beaten. There is no other way to do it. He holds the key to the temple of the Shadow Clan, and unless he is defeated, he will not step away and let the master of shadows enter. You have to succeed and defeat him at any cost, because if the victorious one is him... Then one doesn't only lose the key; the life is also lost. He needs 12 B Ranked spells in order to be defeated.
Third Stage: The Temple
Weak: Shadow Recruits :
Normal: Shadow Knights
Strong: Death's Messanger [A]:
Boss: Zed, the Master of Shadows [S]
[b]Reward: 30k Jewels and Triple B Ranked job experience. Also, Elizabeth will gain the position of the leader of the shadow clan and the nickname of the Master of Shadows IC.
