OOC: I modified the enemies to have HP guages, since we have a real HP system in effect now, and it'd be a waste not to.
    Original post:
Seikatsu flew over the small mountain village for some time, wondering why his instincts had brought him to some village on the ass end of a mountain. The place wasn't horrifyingly large, nor was it disturbingly small either, but rather it was... normal sized. 'You know, it was your fault.' Altsoba said to Seikatsu in his head. 'Hose it wench.' Seikatsu replied, not feeling like addressing 'that' right now. 'I was merely stating, had you not sent her alone she would still be alive.' Altsoba responded against Seikatsu's wishes. Seikatsu didn't bother reply, an act that pissed her off more than anything else. Seikatsu was tired of flying, and for some reason felt compelled to be at this village so he went ahead an landed. The town was fairly quiet with a few vendors, and some people walking the streets. Everyone else was either inside their homes, or anywhere that wasn't the street. He looked around and saw a pub nearby, a good place for him to wash out his sadness by watching drunk people be dumb asses.

The pub was eerily quiet as the large wizard walked in. His demonic scar no longer hidden by his former attire, and his battle scarred upper body was exposed to the world. Lining his lower back, and torso were white bandages, and at his waist was a white sash holding up his black trousers that were torn at the base of his legs. He walked through the door fully, listening to the cautious murmers of the patrons as they talked about him. He took a seat at the bar, with one seat available on either side of him, a voice telling him to order a pair of drinks. "Pardon me barkeep. I'd like to buy a pint for the next two people to walk through those doors." he said in his deep, calm voice. As if right on que, he heard the chime of the pub door being opened. Seikatsu didn't bother turning around, if his instincts were right, this person would be sitting near him. He couldn't shake the feeling that he was supposed to be here, but he also wanted to be gone quickly so he could go to Hargeon.

A discontent sigh managed to escape from his lips, Gil was more than a little dissatisfied with his current predicament. Tartarus, the guild was on his mind a lot. He had left it, or at least that's what he told himself a few weeks ago after departing the guild hall without so much as a word. Plenty of other members came and left the guild grounds as they pleased, none of them ever informing Lyserg let alone another member. Yet they always ended up coming back to their base of operations.

    "I'm going to be different."

Gil promised himself, he would not allow himself to stoop down and be on such a common guilds level any longer. Or at least the infamous, and somewhat reclusive, not to mention exclusive dark guild was anything but a place for commoners not that Gil had consciously realized that just yet. Despite his best attempts at keeping his thoughts at bay his mind kept drifting back to the annoying ghost otherwise known as Lyserg, or the even more annoying mage known as Nai. Deciding to distract himself the best way he knew how, Gil entered a bar, not even sure what town he was in anymore after his long day of travel. "Wine!" He hollered as he entered the establishment, a little bell twinkling at his arrival. It should have been a chorus of bells to alert the bar to his presence but he supposed a single one would have to do. The bartender was quick to fetch wine just as Gil has asked but the tall blonde mage would have nothing of it after spotting the label on the bottle, "The most expensive." He slammed his open palm upon the counter before taking a seat beside another patron, figuring that they'd move. It wasn't very often that others could tolerate being beside Gil for long that or his tall stature and demeanor frightened them away, as it should have. He was completely unaware of how his drink was on another's tab already but that wouldn't have stopped Gil from making the order anyways. Others should feel pleased when buying someone such as himself a glass of fine wine.

"Uggghhhh..." Kateri said with an exasperated tone while flying above a massive mountain range. 'Is something wrong master?' Shadow asked in response to the outburst. "We've been flying so damn long..." She complained, weary from the five days of flying she and Shadow had done. 'Perhaps we should rest?' The large, black creature suggested. "Probably for the best. Next town, or village you see drop us there." Kateri answered, feeling eager to not be on the back of a massive, bony creature. The village he chose was a quaint little place stuffed between a mountain, and yet another mountain that seemed a bit isolated from the rest of Fiore. 'Will that one do master?' Shadow asked using the telepathic bond between him and Kateri. "Yeah, it's plenty good. We're only stopping for some chill time, then it's back to flyin' again" Kateri responded nonchalantly. Shadow gently landed in the town center, conveniently next to a small pub. The wyvern shrunk to normal size, and scampered onto Kateri's shoulder as she walked inside.

A small bell sounded off as Kateri walked through the door shouting "Yo barkeep, gimme a mug of your best ale!" with a chipper voice. Kateri saw two men sitting next to each other at the bar, one was stupid tall, and the other wore nothing but bandages on his lower torso, with his back exposed. The only reason Kateri could tell who it was, was the demonic scar on his back that had a line running up to his face. She quickly dashed across the room screaming "Dad!" with childish glee, quickly giving him a hug as she swung around to his side. Kateri's pulled the hood of her black cloak off, revealing her bright, glacial blue eyes and face filled with joy from seeing her own father after so long. Removal of her hood also revealed the demonic mark on her face, glowing with a dark crimson energy. The bartender slammed a mug of frothy ale down on the counter in front Kateri, smiling at the girl for having asked for it. "Anything else for yah?" the man asked. "Yeah, I need a strip steak. Raw." she replied pointing to the small, 1ft 7inch long black creature on her shoulder. The man immediately walked off to get her order.

Seikatsu heard as a man walked through the door. He acted a bit arrogant, and pompous. Demanding the most expensive wine as though such a thing would be any finer than their oldest wine. However, as the man made the demand, Seikatsu reached out and set the payment for the drink on the counter top. "Salutations outlander." Seikatsu said in a deep, solemn voice. Moments later, a smaller figure, a girl who was wearing a black hooded cloak, with two blue strands of hair sticking out of the hood. She hollered to the bartender for her drink, and then immediately attached herself to Seikatsu. It took a second for the word she screamed to sink in... 'Dad' he thought, and at that moment, he realized why he was brought to this village. "..." Seikatsu said, it was all he could think of. He had no words to describe how much he'd failed in the most simplest of missions. The bartender came over, asking if the girl wanted anything more than the booze, and the girl ordered a steak for her pet. The bartender placed a plate with a raw steak between Seikatsu and Kateri, taking a few steps back to clean a newly vacant area of the bar. Seikatsu gently rubbed the spine of Kateri's wyvern, trying to find the proper words to apologize to it for what he'd done, or failed to do.

"Look guys... I don't exactly like askin' travelin' folk favors. Specially when they-" the man was interrupted by Seikatsu, speaking with a rather irritated voice "Skip to the point outlander." The man was somewhat taken back at the abrupt reaction, and somewhat afraid to ask his favor now. "I'm waiting..." Seikatsu said, his irritation building. "Well... Some guys are addicted to my stuff. I need someone to take care of them and prevent my beer from being stolen." the man said in a high-pitched, hesitant voice. Seikatsu turned to the man seated next to him. "Outlander, your assistance will be appreciated in this venture. I am Niyol." Seikatsu said, he was highly irritated, so it drowned out his normally humble and courteous self, replacing it with a bit of apprehension and irritation.

The bandaged man's greeting was completely disregarded by the arrogant blonde save for a nod of acknowledgment. He didn't even both to spare a glance towards the stranger that no one else in the bar seemed to want to sit next to. In fact between the two, it seemed as though the entire bar wanted nothing to do with either of them. One of them was eerie and the other was view upon as either too handsome or too arrogant to approach. Or at least that was what everyone in the bar seemed to think save for the person whom had just entered. Gil's attention that had been set on the glass of crimson liquid set in front of him wavered for a moment as what he could only describe as a shriek of a banshee echoed across the bar. Apparently the banshee was screaming at her father, which happened to be the man who was seated right next to the golden youth.

    "Disgusting."

His face contorted into an expression to match his distaste for family reunions. He pushed back any thoughts he had of his own father, or family for that matter by taking a deep sip of the expensive wine. It burned a path down his throat and left a pleasant taste upon his tongue. Much to Gil's dismay the pair had yet to depart, as he had expected them to flee from his presence. He spared the two a glance, noting the creature upon the girl's shoulder. "A Wyvern." He mused with some interest, he didn't see many of those around save for his own. Somewhere in the back of his mind he realized that the bartender was talking but he kept his crimson gaze upon the creature. "I wonder if it's fully grown or if I can get it to come closer." His own wyvern was larger, roughly the size of a deer but much lighter than one. Despite attempting to force control upon the ebony creature, the little thing seemed like it did not want to budge. "Hmph." Wyvern's were fickle creatures, his own took him a long time to tame. Deciding he'd try again later Gil Vessalius realized that the bandaged, rather demonic looking man had spoken to him, requesting assistance from Gil.

He looked to the bartender and then back at the pair. Under normal circumstances Gil would blatantly ignore the request. Taking another sip of wine the blonde sighed, "And what's in it for me?" He raised a brow, sending another glance to the wyvern not out of desire but curiosity. He had no need nor want for the creature considering he had his own, and of course his was the best.

Kateri saw as the man locked eyes with Shadow, the small wyvern that accompanied Kateri everywhere. She let out a small giggle as Shadow replied his stare with a growl, while showing his various rows of razor sharp diamond like teeth. "Hehe, I wouldn't try to pet him." Kateri said with a cheerful voice. She began rubbing Shadow's head, causing him to lean into the gesture and make a series of happy clicking sounds. "Shadow's his name. There's only two of them in the entire world, my dad here has the other." Kateri said plainly. "He also hates other men. He tolerates my dad." She added so the new face wouldn't feel too offended. The bar tender turned to the blonde man, waiting to hear if he'd be willing to help. 'What's in it for me' was his response. 'Smart man. Not necessarily a generous man, but smart.' Kateri thought as she took her seat. The bartender hesitated to answer, his establishment wasn't in the position to shower the male with, and he wouldn't have anything of value to him. The sweat began dripping on his face, unable to come up with anything. "Well I- I-" the man began saying, but Kateri cut him off before it got embarrassing. "A favor." Kateri said with a confident voice. "A favor is the most valuable reward. When you want something, need something, or need a hand you can call on him and he'd be powerless but to help you. That includes laying down his own life. Right?" she added, looking at the bartender with a smile. The bartender looked at her, terrified at the idea of being forced to lay his life down. "You'd do that right?" She repeated with a stronger voice. "This place is worth my life. So yes." he finally said. "So that settles it. We all earn a favor, and a share of your profits for the week." Kateri said with a smile on her face. "That isn't what we agreed on!" the man protested. "No, but that's our price. Unless... you want to send an official notice to the guilds and wait for them to send someone?" Kateri replied snidely. "-tch- Fine." he agreed to the terms, begrudgingly.

Seikatsu clenched his glass of water as Kateri said that he had the other of Shadow's kind. His grip continued tightening until a crack appeared, causing a chip of glass from the top to fly upwards. The sound of the crack forming was enough to pull the large man back to his senses. He listened closely as the bartender was asked for a reward for having services rendered by the blonde man, and froze up. Kateri had covered for the man, stating that he would owe them all a favor, as well as a cut of his business's profits for the week. The bartender didn't like the idea of forking over his pay, but he couldn't argue with the girl's logic and unwillingly agreed to the terms.

"Do you have any information regarding our enemy?" Seikatsu asked in a monotone voice, his purple eyes dull, dead, and empty as they looked at the cracked glass. The bartender picked up the glass, emptying the water and throwing it in the trash without hesitation. He filled another glass, this time with some sort of fizzy black liquid that left bubbles on the sides of the glass's insides. "There's quite a few of em. First is the ones who ain't too bright. You're average thug is all they are. Their boss uses them as the muscle, but he also gave em some small guns. Pistols mostly, but some of em use Uzi's or something similar." the bartender said nonchalantly. He picked up a glass with one hand and a rag with the other and began polishing the glass while saying, "Next up the ladder is some sort of failure wizard. I've seen a good bit of em practicing, and they suck at it. Dark magic seems to be their fancy, but it's not like they're a thread." He looked at the glass in the light, making sure it didn't have any spots on it before setting it back down. "Third is where you get to see some people to look out for. These guys been training under the boss directly. They can use gun magic, and dark magic pretty well. Lastly is their boss... He's by far the strongest, of course, and he's a damned giant. I don't know what magic he uses, but he seems to carry a casket of booze wherever he goes. That and a massive ass shotgun, so be careful." The bartender then reached over to a group of people eating further down the bar and grabbed their plates, taking it to the backroom.

As the beast bared its fangs at him, Gil returned the gesture his own animal like canines glinting in the lighting of the bar. Luckily, for both Gil and the girl, he had lost any desire to touch the creature when it had growled at him. His interest had somewhat diminished, it wasn't nearly as noble of a creature as it had initially appeared. "Two in the whole world she says." It spiked his interest in the creature once more, it meant that it was rare, valuable, a treasure even. If it was indeed a treasure then naturally he desired and deserved it. "Hates other men?" Gil echoed back with a golden brow raised, "Then clearly he hasn't met me yet." He did have a way with creatures, particularly animals, but that was when he wasn't even trying. If Gil actually put effort into something, for once in his life, then he could have been an irresistible force to most of the creatures roaming through Fiore. Yet Gil was lazy by nature, and lacked the want to command a horde of beasts.

    A favor

An interesting offer, one that wasn't to be trusted at first. He would have outright refused the reward if the bartender had a different personality. A favor was not something that could be grasped with one's hands, it was intangible, and it relied on trusting the other party to hold up their end of the bargain by fulfilling their favor if it was something that was even in their power. If the bartender had been a pushy, confident, headstrong man then Gil would have outright refused. Those types weren't exactly the best at keeping their promises, they would argue their point or only do a certain favor not any favor, but the bartender seemed meek enough. He didn't put up too much resistance even when his bars profits were named as a reward as well. Which meant that Gil could trust that this man would fulfill his favor, or rather if push came to shove Gil could force him to.

Swirling the remaining wine in his glass, Gil eyed over the liquid as the bartender described the enemies they would be facing. Most didn't sound too troubling save for the last, "A giant of a man wielding a cask and a shotgun?" How tall could this man really be? Height was a matter of perspective. "Well," He downed the rest of his wine, "Shall we continue twiddling our thumbs here or?"

Kateri noticed the look on her father's face, a strange look he'd never made before, a look that was pure pain... nothing more. To others it would be a slightly annoyed, or even a sad face at the furthest extent, but Kateri knew Seikatsu like the back of her hand. The man didn't show an expression, and when it was, it was a smile as he fought an endearing battle. For him to make any other expression out of battle, for him to look sad, it would have to be tragic. She knew what that look would mean, but she didn't want to accept it, and would wait till her father told her what happened. 'Shall we continue twiddling our thumbs or?' her ally asked, prepared to fight. Kateri slapped the payment for her stuff on the counter, and watched as the barkeep slid it back to her. "The shirtless guy got the tab. Same for you too Goldilocks." The man said with a smile. Kateri looked at her dad a last time and walked out the door. "Shadow." Kateri said, getting her wyvern's attention. "I want you in the air, if anything comes you let me know." she said to Shadow. Upon arrival of her and her father's temporary ally, Kateri explained to him "Shadow's kind all have the ability to bond telepathically with their parents. I raised him from an egg, so that pegs me as the default. He'll stay up there and let me know where I should be aiming. Meanwhile..." Kateri said while reaching to her back. She pulled out her sniper rifle, a 14.5mm Compact Rifle that hit hard as a tank. "I'll take out any target from up there." Kateri said confidently while pointing to a large tower. "My dad specializes in close fighting, so he'll most likely cover the ally." She added, not caring to mention Kateri was a tactical prodigy when it came to war. "Oh! One more thing Goldilocks, I'm Kateri, heir of my tribe. My dad's the chief." she said with a bright smile, the black hood of her cloak covering anything else as the girl turned and began running off for the tower's top.

Seikatsu walked out the door in time to hear his daughter throwing out Seikatsu's title as a chief. He walked up to the golden man, keeping him out of weapon range as he didn't trust him. "Outlander, I am Niyol. As my daughter said, I am the chief of the Tribe of Souls. But I am not so great a man as she believes. I specialize in fighting in closer quarters, with the aid of my magic I can cover longer distances but I prefer tight spaces. With that said, I'll be taking the ally to the right and behind the establishment. Do what you please Outlander." Seikatsu said in a plain, monotone voice. His purple eyes didn't seem to even look at the gold haired man, but rather through him. As if the dull, nearly dead, empty circles Seikatsu called his eyes were locking onto the soul of his ally, instead of actually examining his physical being.

Seikatsu walked down the ally way, not bothering to grab his sword as he knew it'd be useless against a gun. However, he did have a trick up his sleeve as he was preparing to call one of his souls to the battlefield should the need arise. His summons, while all different from each other, are stronger made by the souls that flow around Seikatsu continuously. Their naturally higher durability, brought on by the souls fusing with the summon, allows all of Seikatsu's summons to become viable meat shield. Should Seikatsu find himself faced with an armed opponent, he'd simply summon a familiar to use as a distraction while he got closer. If the opponent focused on Seikatsu, he'd have to worry about the summon.

The large, shirtless man with a scarred chest and bandaged abdomen reached a fork in the path. One direction, lay an ally to the right, then another to the left, and the third is where Seikatsu came from. He looked around, checking the walls to see if they were climbable, and noticed the side of one wall seemed to be made of cobblestone. The material was like one of those artificial rock walls that morons pay to climb up because they wish they could climb a real mountain side. Seikatsu grabbed hold of one of the rocks protruding from the wall's surface and began climbing up. From that vantage point, he could quickly jump across the ally and take a position where he'd be able to watch the roofs, and the three ally ways simultaneously.

Gil almost felt a vein burst as the bartender referred to him as "Goldilocks", wherever he went Gil either received praise for his sun kissed locks or ridicule by others calling him different variations of "blonde". At the least the bartender didn't call him "Blondie" then that would have ended very badly. That particular nickname was not one that sparked any sort of fondness in the mage, if anything it only served to provoke him because it brought on memories of a certain guildmate who's very existence appeared to be dedicated on pushing Gil's buttons. No word of thanks escaped from Gil's lips, and he gave one last icy glare to the bartender before leaving the bar with his temporary comrades, if he could even call them that.

His hands found their way into his pants pockets as he met with the brisk night air. Gleaming red eyes, almost glowing in the night as once more his gaze fell upon the curious ebony creature, its master explaining their bond. "Ah." He sounded completely disinterested, his gaze once more falling to the girl who had a weapon drawn and at the ready. The feeling of distrust was in the air, it appeared to be mutual to either party. A long range weapon, one that could be used to turn against him if she so wished. "No one would be foolish enough." He pushed the worrisome thought out of his mind, no one in their right mind would try to kill someone such as himself. "The heir and his chief." He echoed just as the bandaged man had come outside. An heir, vaguely he recalled the feeling that accompanied being an heir. A pleasant feeling that reminded him of once pleasant times that had long since past.

"I was already planning on doing as I please."

He answered in turn, the three of them splitting up would be best for all of them. He preferred to be out in the open rather than slinking through alleyways like some sort of rat but with Kateri and her weapon, Gil was at least logical enough to take another alleyway to the left of the building. He stayed out of any vision her weapon might have provided, as he to made his way towards the back of the bar.

Running through the main floor of the tower, Kateri found herself face to face with one of those idiots with a gun, the hired muscles that the bartender spoke of. He had a friend with him, seems their boss was smart and knew a proper sniper would choose the tower to shoot from. "So, you boys don't believe in being nice to girls do you?" Kateri said with a hint of sass in her voice. 'Shit shit shit shiiiit!' She thought, knowing 2 on 1 was never easy. "Boss told us about some girlie which slinkin' around. Said she gonna come to da towah to snipe from." one of the idiots said, brandishing an MP5, a sub machine gun that's bigger than an Uzi but still light weight. "Guess that's her. Whacha say we just take out her legs 'an we have fun with da rest of her?" the other goon recommended. Kateri gently placed the sniper on the ground causing the men to smile grimly. "So yeh know when yer a dead 'un yeah?" the first cocky bastard said.  They began stepping closer to Kateri, each not suspecting her to have anything more than that single sniper. Kateri sat on her knees, her hands being covered by her cloak as they slid across her lap slowly inching towards the pair of revolvers she kept at her sides. "I- I don't care i-if you d-do anything to me..." Kateri said, falsifying an innocent voice. "J-just d-d-don't hurt my friends." She said, reinforcing her innocence and making it seem she was vulnerable. The men had wide grins on their faces, one of them handed his partner his sub as he approached Kateri. Under the black hood of her cloak, the men were unable to see that Kateri was smiling from ear to ear, her little rouse having already fooled them. "I hope you're a loose one sweetheart, or this may hurt a bit..." he said while kneeling down, pulling back Kateri's hood back. "I-I'm sorry boys... I've never been touched before." Kateri said as her massive grin was revealed. "Wait! She's Smilin!? Shi-" The man said, pausing as he realized that Kateri had the barrel of her six shooter pressed against his genitals. "Trust me bud, I never will be." She said while pulling the hammer back.

((OOC: I'm turning 2 of those normal monsters into 1 Strong, cause it'd be too easy otherwise. That leaves 2 normal enemies unaccounted for.))

Seikatsu sat on his little perch atop the wall, watching his three lanes. His gaze locked in on two men walking up the lane in front him. Seikatsu leaned forward with a slight look of curiosity on his face. "Oi! You up there on the roof!" one of the men called to him. Seikatsu's black expression turned to a smile as his day just got interesting. He quickly leaned off the roof, allowing himself to fall before landing on the ground with his knees bent in a way as to distribute the shock properly. "You rang?" Seikatsu said in a monotone voice. "Yeh. Bossman says you're the strongest of your lot. Sent us to take care of ya." the man said. It was obvious the two of em were use to working in teams, one of them did the talking and the other was just leaning against a wall with his arms crossed. "So, I take it the two of you are his right hands?" Seikatsu asked, confirming exactly how hard he'd have to fight. "We train directly under the big man, count yourself lucky to be facin' us runt." the one leaning against the wall said with a rather arrogant voice. "It's always an honor to face opponents who are so straight forward as to challenge me directly. Shall we... take this to the streets then?" Seikatsu said, prepared to show the two men exactly what kind of power Seikatsu kept tucked away. The man leaning on the wall smirked at Seikatsu, as if he thought it was some sort of bravado that caused the soul mage to enter their domain. "You got them swords, an we got guns... and magic." the man argued. Seikatsu gave them his standard blank stare, waiting for them to understand he didn't care. "Fine, we'll just kill you faster." the first man said. The two of them turned to the street, and began walking knowing Seikatsu wouldn't bother to kill them off there and then. The three men stood roughly ten meters from each other, the two opponents stayed close by, so they could exchange attacks most likely. Seikatsu began pooling black energy in one of his hands, charging up magic and preparing to Unleash Shadows on his enemies.

Unaware of how his two temporary comrades had already encountered enemies of their own, Gil continued down the alley. His nose crinkled in distaste at having to stick to the shadows, but he didn't trust the other two enough to go out in the open. It showed what little development he had since joining his guild. If he was the same man he was a few months ago, then he would have been out in the open like audacious fool. At the least Lyserg and the others had taught him of his own mortality, something he was still working on. One day Gil would be able to walk out in the open without the slightest worry of other mages. "One day-" A sudden gun shot echoing in the otherwise silent night caught Gil's attention. His red gaze drifted towards where the sound had come from. It didn't sound like a rifle or at least not the one Kateri was carrying.

"Perhaps she's dead already. It would leave more of a reward for me."

His crimson orbs still trained in the direction of the sound left him as an open target to a nearby stumbling alcoholic mage. The drunken mage coated his fists in darkness as before none to gracefully charging at the blonde who was almost taken by surprise. The alcoholic man had stumbled into numerous objects creating quite a racket before he was even within punching distance of Gil. The noise of a fallen trash can and boxes getting stepped on was more than enough to turn Gil's attention to the poor excuse of an opponent. "Hmph." He avoided the first few clumsy swings with ease, before finally catching the man by his arm, "You're awfully tiny." Gil noted allowed as he looked upon the relatively small man. His breath reeked of alcohol, and not the kind that Gil enjoyed to drink. The man tried to throw another punch Gil's way but the blonde pushed with all of his might, slamming the drunken mage against the stone of the alleyway with enough force to at least knock the breath out of his opponent, "What makes you think that a little rat like you could touch someone such as myself?"

The sound of the revolver's shot echoed through the building, probably even being heard by those on the outside world as Kateri pulled the trigger. The round from her revolver blasted into the man's groin, and exited through the other side. He fell to the ground with eyes wide open as his blood began to pool around him, pouring out from both sides. The other guy threw his gun aside and pointed his other, but freezing as his gaze focused on the empty space before him. Moments later, a quartet of massive pillars of ice erupted from the ground, slamming into the stomach, back, and sides of the man as he began turning around. The force was enough for him to drop his weapon as he panicked. Despite the temperature dropping in the room, the man had sweat dripping from his face from the stress he was now under. "L-l-look miss. Uhh... Look we ain't seerus 'bout takin' your body! J-just let me go, I-I'll neva' do nuffin' bad agen! I swear it!" the man shouted. The terror in his voice was almost enough to make Kateri feel bad for the man, but unlike other legal mages, Kateri didn't care about the lives of others. Her father taught her several things. Survive at all costs, never show mercy, and never let someone live if you're unsure if he'd come back to kill you. Kateri walked to the front of the man with a bit of a sadistic smile on her face. "Do you know why my father taught me to use a gun?" Kateri asked, her voice was filled with malice towards him. "Wh-why?" he asked, his voice squeaky under his fear. "Because my magic's too dangerous to use around others." she said as the temperature began dropping even further. The winds became terribly strong, freezing the exit to the building over with a massive slab of ice that continued to thicken as Kateri's blizzard whirled around the room. The man's skin had already frozen over, completely encasing his body in ice when Kateri had finished with him. She began walking away, leaving the after effect of the assault to do its work on the man knowing they'd be dead in fifteen minutes.

With his Unleash Shadows charging in one of his hands, Seikatsu would need a VERY good distraction. He looked at his two opponents, both seem to have pause in an attempt to see exactly what the dark energy in the mage's hand would do. Seikatsu decided now was as good a time as any to do it. He began mumbling under his breath the sacred chant he normally held back. The cause for him making an exception was his opponents challenged him honorably, thus deserved to face Seikatsu when he was going full force. "I call upon the Flame's Emissary, he who wields the blade of fire and acts as the volcanic guillotine...." "Hey what's he sayin'?" one of the two asked the other."...By your scales, I am protected. By your claws, I am empowered..." "I dunno, but I don't like it." the other responded. His unrest was caused by the ground between the two becoming filled with lava, not a problem since they were ranged fighters."...By your will, I am forgiven..." The men began charging up a spell, but their spell faded when the massive claw of a red beast poked from the lava. Seikatsu smiled as his chant had finished with him saying "Come forth! Niddhog!" with gusto. The massive arm of a dragon erupted through the lava, and then another. The ground cracked as the beast grabbed it, pulling itself out and into the open air. The two men took cautious steps backwards, trying to avoid being hit by the lava dripping from the monstrous creature as it's head towered over them, the rest of the creature towering over Seikatsu as it walked from the lava.

Afterwards, Seikatsu snapped his fingers and said "Come." with a plain voice. At that moment, another form of megafauna appeared. A goliath creature that once ruled the prehistoric world exploded from the ground behind the two men. However, this one was fitted to fight in a new world. On the neck of the monstrosity were guns, and on its back was some strange probe that launched itself into the air automatically. Seikatsu saw the two men completely unable to move from being caught between two behemoths. He decided to put full faith in his summons, and began charging his Unleash Soul in his free hand. This would leave him almost entirely defenseless.

Gil was an arrogant, and overconfident man, which is why it was only natural that he expected very little out of the drunken mage. That also explained why he didn't notice the shadows of the alley swishing from side to side, or even the shadow that silent snaked its way up his pant leg, careful to not alert the blonde mage of its action until it was too late. It tightened like a vice upon his calf, cutting off circulation for a moment or two as it tightened close to drawing blood. Yet with a strength like that of a giant the shadow pulled Gil's leg out from underneath him. The world was a blur for a moment, next thing Gil knew he was hanging upside down by the ever tightening shadow around leg. Once more, the world was a blur as he was tossed, his back making contact with brick wall, he swore that he heard a crack though he was unsure of if it came from his back or the wall.

The shadow had released its hold on him, the drunken mage letting out a shout of what sounded like victory as Gil's body slumped to the alley floor, a few bricks falling loose and landing upon his frame. At least the cracking sound wasn't from him and rather it was from the wall quite literally crumbling a hole from where his back had made contact with it. Yet it would take a bit more than that to take him out. Letting out a groan of discontent, Gil clambered up to his feet, the debris falling off of his sinewy frame. The few stray bricks hit the ground with thuds, and one hand found its way to his blonde mane pushing back a few stay locks out of his as well as getting any of the dirt or debris out of it. Up until that point Gil's eyes had been closed, the drunken mage looking in awe, and soon fear as those crimson orbs opened to reveal a glare that could make a god fall to his knee's,

"You have made a grave mistake, one that I will make you pay for."

Kateri picked up her sniper as it was blown aside during her blizzard and began walking up the spiraling stairs leading to the top of the tower. After about five or six steps, she looked up. Getting dizzy from just how far it was to the top, Kateri couldn't help but say "That bartender had better made some damn good cash this month..." referencing to the little deal they struck where the group would get a cut of the businesses profits for the month. From there, Kateri leaned in further and took a peek up the stairs, making sure no one else was waiting further up. Using the scope on her sniper, she saw all the way to the top and noticed no shadows lingering. "Well... at least I don't have to worry about anymore pawns..." Kateri said with a slightly relieved voice. 'But damn, I still gotta get up those stairs...' she thought to herself as she slowly began walking. She worked her way to to a light jog so as to make the best time. If Kateri walked up the seemingly endless flight of stairs, the mission may be over by the time it came to turn in the job. If she ran up the stairs, she'd run out of energy quickly and be forced to walk from there. Jogging provided the best solution, she could get up the stairs faster than walking, but keep going for longer than running. However, the feeling of her father's magic power began trickling through the air. At this distance, it was only a small touch of it, like someone rubbing on your hand with the absolute tip of a feather, but it was still there. Kateri feared her father may be in a pretty major fight if he was going all out, releasing enough magic for her to feel it at such a great distance, and began sprinting up the steps. She jumped up, onto the railing and began running as fast as she could while carrying her sniper, and then jumped across the way to grab the opposite railing. Kateri then spun herself up wards, resting her feet on the edge of the bar and pushed off to grab the opposing railing. Looking up, it was a good five or ten more stories to go, but she could make it just by running alone and knew Seikatsu would still be alive. 'What's the status report?' She asked Shadow who was circling above the battles. 'The golden one appears to be in battle with a single male. Mother's master appears to be in combat with two males. He is aided by a dragon, and an enlarged lizard like creature covered in metal.' Shadow responded, his voice didn't hint at him having concern for Seikatsu. 'Thanks.' Kateri said, ending the telepathic conversation as she reached the top of the tower.

Níðhöggr decided it would be a bad idea to use his full power, as it would reduce a good portion of the village to little more than ashes and screaming people who would also be on fire. The great dragon inhaled, and then opened his mouth, bellowing forth a massive blast of flames while letting off his great roar. The flames engulfed the two men, causing them to have to shield themselves and avoid seeing the massive T-Rex firing a strange object above the battlefield. The great metal covered lizard then spun, slamming its massive, powerful tail into the men and sending them upwards. As if that weren't enough, Níðhöggr spun himself and slammed them with his own tail and sent them back down to the floor. The force of the dragon's tail hitting the floor left an indentation, as well as caused a slight tremor that shook several of the nearby homes. Under that crater was the two men, in a slightly smaller but deeper crater of their own. The two of them slowly moved their arms, grabbing at a pair of weapons while groaning. Níðhöggr flapped his wings, causing a massive blast of wind as the beast took flight. The T-Rex slammed its massive foot on the men, causing them to drop their weapons. It then slid its foot under them and lifted it up rapidly sending the two men into the air. At that point, Níðhöggr took a deep breath before catching the two men in his mouth. He hovered in place, beating his massive wings to keep airborne and exhaled another firey blast, accompanied by the ear splitting roar normally given off by a dragon. The men flew out of his mouth, slamming into the ground and being exposed to the raw force of the dragon's fire breath. The flames ceased at last, revealing a massive spot of red hot glass where the once sandy, dusty ground had been. As for the two men, the so called 'disciples' of their boss, their bodies were reduced to ash. Most likely, those ashes were mixed in with the now cooling glass. It was at this moment that Seikatsu had a grim smile on his face as he heard the sounds of someone trying to creep up behind him. No, he wasn't trying to sneak, he was charging full speed and planning to blast right through Seikatsu...

Gil raised one of his hands towards the heaven's, the other drunken mage could only watch in fascination as well as a morbid realization of the fatal mistake he had made came over him. As Gil's summoning chant finished two golden flashes of light appeared on either side of the shadow mage, and that light eventually formed into two rather large striped felines. Tigers, orange and black striped, their eyes seemed to almost glow in the dim lighting of the alleyway, their fangs glinting ever so slightly. They were rather large, enough so that the shadow mage couldn't possibly run leaving him with only one option and that was to fight them. Drunkenly he avoided one of the felines, whom swiped at him, only to have the other feline behind him dig it's claws into his back. With a terrified screech he lashed one of his shadows out at the tiger, digging into the creatures flesh only to have it disappear with the same flash of golden in which it had appeared with. However, that left him with one tiger that stalked closer, licking at its shops as it eyed him like prey. Unconsciously, the man took a few steps back only to meet a rather firm frame-

"What do you think you're doing?"

Two arms locked about the man's torso as he screeched and flailed, momentarily forgetting about his shadows in his drunken stupor. The tiger slowly crept forward, baring its fangs at the flailing mage who was caged by its golden King. Yet as the tiger was about to pounce, and the shadow mage once more about to flail his shadows out at the creature, and Gil alike, a sudden noise caught their attention. It was nearly deafening, an ear splitting sound that was akin to some sort of roar like that of a dragon. The sound of wings, large leathery one's, only confirmed that it was indeed a dragon. "Tch." Gil's red eyes narrowed as he caught only a glimpse of the creature in the sky, not far from where he was positioned. He released the shadow mage from his vice like hold, giving him a shove to the ground only to have his tiger pounce on top of the man,

"Do with him as you please. Just try not to make too much of a mess. I have other business to attend to."

Kateri watched through the lens of her sniper, Jackpot, as her father's summons decimated his opponents. She couldn't help but notice a blue glow in his hand, and then a black one in his other hand. She smiled knowing exactly what he was doing. The two glows was his unleash attacks. Unleash Soul gathered all the souls around Seikatsu, forming them into his hand, and then he could launch it at his opponents for tremendous damage. Unleash Shadow was the black spell in his other hand, it did the same thing but used the darkness in his opponent's hearts as the medium for damage. Both were equally powerful and hard to pull off as both required him to lose the use of a hand for a while, well for as long as he was holding the spell. 'Master, new targets have arrived.' Shadow called, announcing the presence of more enemies. 'What's the sit rep?' Kateri replied, keeping her scope on her father. 'Target one is large, charging towards mother's master. Target two is small, moving slowly behind. Appears intoxicated.' Shadow said to Kateri using their telepathic bonds. Kateri zoomed out on her rifle, seeing the opponent that was heading for her father. She got ready to aim directly for him, but then saw the alley her temporary ally was in. There was another man, a much smaller man charging towards it while also ramming into a post. Kateri held back her laughter, but was finding it hard to not laugh at some idiot who charges a post head on. She aimed her rifle directly at him and zoomed her scope in to get a better aim at his head. At this distance, she could only zoom in so much but the scope wasn't powerful enough for him to be a massive image for her. At best, his head appeared as just about as big as the center of the reticle. Her nerves were beginning to get worked up, knowing if she missed her partner would think badly of her. The man got closer and closer to her partner. She let out a slow breath, focusing the center of her scope on the man's head. He got to the entrance of the alley way, the one that Gil was in, and formed a clunky looking sword out of shadows and lifted it up. The blade dropped to his shoulders from its own weight as the man got ready to either charge or swing, Kateri couldn't tell. She gently pressed the trigger and the rifle sounded off. The 14.5mm bullet blasted through the air, then into the sword the man held that obscured the vision of his head, and then the skull of her target sending brain bits all over the place. The man's head exploding was then engulfed by the explosion of the wall next to him as the massive round decimated a good portion of it. Kateri bolt on her rifle, ejecting the old round, and then pushed it back in to chamber a new one while feeling pretty good about the long shot, head shot she just pulled off. Even going so far as to say "Jackpot!" with a snappy voice.

Seikatsu quickly spun around after hearing the gun shot, only to see a very... very large man hurdling towards him. He quickly jumped aside, making sure to keep his hands closed so as to not let his spell explode in his face... again, and the man continued charging. Níðhöggr crossed his massive, scaly arms in front himself and took the full force of the attack. Whoever this monster was, he was strong enough to make a massive ass dragon move backwards just by charging at it. Seikatsu watched as his T-Rex summon wrapped its tail around the man, trying its hardest to lift him but couldn't. The shirtless man was simply too heavy. 'Must be the one the barkeep told us about.' Seikatsu thought to himself. He then pressed one of his feel into the dirt, making sure he was stable as he reached both his fists out. "Die." Seikatsu said with a blank expression, at that moment a black energy emitted from Seikatsu and surrounded his attack, signaling that Seikatsu had activated his bloodline and was calling upon the Knight of Death's power. He then focused his mind on speeding up his spells, using up a bit of magic power to do so. Seikatsu then opened his hands and from them erupted a massive blast, one blue and one pitch black. The blasts engulfed the over sized man, but due to Níðhöggr granting forgiveness, it did nothing against the summons or the town as Seikatsu didn't consider them enemies. The force behind the attack was enough to make Gargas stop struggling while he tried to figure out why his life just flashed before his eyes. The large man pulled out a shotgun, and sprayed all over, destroying Níðhöggr and the over sized metal covered lizard. He then turned to Seikatsu, his fat rolls jiggling with every step which was also accompanied by the ground trembling a bit. "Whats'er nam' boi?!" the man said, his accent was... thick as molasses to be an understatement. Seikatsu panted after expelling so much power, still trying to recover from the recoil of such a spell, but forced himself to stand tall. "I am Niyol." He said, looking at the considerably larger man with confident eyes. "Name's Gargas! Yer' perdy stron' aint yeh boi..." he said to Seikatsu, who wasn't sure if it was a comment or a question. "My power is only limited by the mother's will." Seikatsu said, the response made Gargas laugh. The sight of the man's chins jumping with each expelled laugh made Seikatsu question how he hasn't had a heart attack yet, but he didn't express his disgust. "Well boi, I's guess iz time ta tess at!" The over weight man replied, preparing to show Seikatsu the road to hell, but not knowing that the fight wouldn't be one on one.

Gil had just step foot out of the alleyway only to meet another opponent, another drunken shadow using mage. Gil was not entertained by the completely hammered mage, this one having run into a pole before finally charging at Gil. "I command-" The blonde hadn't even finished his chant by the time that a sharp sound range loud and true through the night. It startled Gil, who ceased his chant immediately just as a bullet met with the shadow mages brain. A look of disgust crossed over his features, before he sent a glance towards the source of the shot. It would appear that their sniper was in position. With final glance, one of warning that hopefully sent the message of, "You better not hit me." Gil finally turned his glare to an enemy that at first glance he couldn't believe had hadn't noticed.

He was massive, towering over Gil, and was easily three times Gil's weight. He was fat, ugly, and resembled more of a troll than he did a human. Even the strange T-Rex like creature struggled with the man's massive weight. "Disgusting." Gil began his voice cutting through the night like a knife, "How unsightly." An arrogant sneer, and he begun his chant a quiet mutter under his breath as he put his hands in his pockets, as if he didn't have a care in the world. A moment later with a flash of gold light a new creature had appeared, one he had been meaning to summon for quite some time. Bone white, and with leathery wings the creature let loose a roar that was more akin to a shriek. It's body was no larger than a deer, its elongated neck decorate with white scales was serpent like, eyes like golden coins, with teeth and claws as sharp as diamonds, dipped in a deadly poison. "This is what a real Wyvern should look like." Gil boasted, the creature giving a flap of its wings, it certainly was no dragon as the bandaged man had summoned but Gil was proud of it none the less. "Go on." Letting loose another shriek, the ivory scaled beast was quick to dart forward, claws and teeth digging into one of the man's massive arms, letting its poison sink in.
