Dark mages aren’t the only members here in Savage Skull but it also consists of members that don’t possess magic. Some were mercenaries but most of them were devoted soldiers who swear oath to Lord harrigan, the guild master himself. The same applies of Dubhlainn as well, though he already had established his oath with him years ago that he would train to truly live up to his name. Dubhlainn’s name means “Black Sword” who aspires not only to become a powerful physical entity but at the same time refurnish his skills as a knight and fight against one as such. He was in the courtyard were most of Harrigan’s grunts train to become better soldiers though some of them are being picked off by a few of their mages one at a time, spars between them are frequent as there isn’t any day without these men raising their weapons against each other here.

Dubhlainn enters as he examines the armory with interests. Some of the footmen came closer to Dubhlainn questioning how a nobody like him came to the guild in the first place. He was mocked because he doesn’t look like that he’d fit the role of being a dark mage, in fact there wasn’t much magical potential sensed in Dubhlainn at all. The Footmen decided to leave him to examine the armory only to devise a plot against him.

Then one of them came along mocking and provoking Dubhlainn to duel against him.

“I’m afraid I cannot duel someone like you, you’d need a partner in order to fight me.” His words dared the footman to take his challenge. He was disgusted how arrogant he was and demanded that he would face Dubhlainn alone. He was confident that Dubhlainn was a man with no experience in being a dark guild and of course that much is true. Dubhlainn stood before his opponent and only stood as if he’s waiting for his response.

“Are you sure about this?” He asked the footman and in response the question was thrown back at him as he dashes towards him swiftly and thrust his weapon for a piercing attack. Dubhlainn only had to catch the footman’s wrist and pulled him with such force that it send the foot man dashing across the courtyard only to bash to a wall. A few others came in, spectators started to laugh thinking that it was luck that had him sent one of their friends to the wall. Three more wielded improvised versions of the sword axe and lance and started their attack on him.

    “You jerk! Know your place!”

Dubhlainn swiped the wet floor with his foot, attacking the axe man and blinding him with murk and slime and took steps backward at the ongoing attacks from the swordsman. Both the swordsman and pikesman did a wonderful job suppressing Dubhlainn of any way for him to fight back. The thing is Dubh wasn’t armed and had chosen to fight against these men without any weapons at all. The axeman, angered for Dubhlainn of ever pulling such cheap attack, threw his axe at him that caused the pikeman and the swordsman to dodge the incoming projectile.

The axeman prided over his ability to throw the axe accurately which would indeed guarantee to hit Dubhlainn or at least scratch him severely by the face. The results didn’t go as he expected as he caught the axe with his free hand and started to retaliate as he disarmed the swordsman and thrust his elbow to the base of the swordsman’s neck. The pikeman started to engage by delivering quick strikes with his spear but at the right moment, Dubhlainn managed to grip the spear and dragged the pikeman to him and greeting him with a head butt.

Soon more and more soliders stood up in order to challenge him, Dubhlainn’s little performance taunted most of the soldiers in training to spar against him all at once. For each soldier he beatsdown, he stabs a weapon to the ground and fights with such dexterity and reflex, a man with external arms mastery, wielding each of their weapons well and putting them to good use. A man was thrown to the wall, a sword is stabbed to the ground as a result, two men were injured and unable to continue, a spear was stabbed to the ground in their place, another one sent flying up high, the axe is thrown to the ground, others attempted to rearm themselves with the weapons Dubhlainn stabbed to the ground, they were disarmed by the strike of his blade and did so without hurting them.

All he had to comment on these soldiers was one word. “Mediocrity…” A huge Silver bolt was then fired at Dubhlainn only for him to smash it to the ground with a hammer that broke afterwards. It was amazing as he was well versed in the use of various kinds of weapons and managed to fight having started without any weapons to begin with. “You bare such resemblance to some of the knights of the royal castle, there aren’t many true warriors in here, killing all of you would be a waste as you all serve Lord Harrigan and still proved to be of some use to him.” He looked around to his spectators to see if anyone wants to spar against him.
