Description:
Shadow Magic allows the caster to manipulate existing shadows around them. Depending on the spell used, the use of these shadows can be anywhere from giving the shadows a physical form to allowing the caster to temporarily 'inhabit' the shadow.
The strength and density of these shadows depends both on the casters ability and the ability of whatever is creating the shadow.
This particular magic is used by reciting an incantation (the name of the spell) to extort the shadow to the caster's will.
Certain hand motions are required to keep control of the shadow and to cast the initial spell enabling the manipulation of the shadows.
Strengths:
-There are always shadows around.
-They are very efficient spies.
Weaknesses:
- Creating the control over a shadow takes energy.
- When a caster inhabits a shadow it takes extreme focus and the caster must remain motionless withing the duration of the spell.
- The density of the object/being creating the shadow is consistent with the shadow's physical form.
Lineage: Reaper's Touch:
Description: The Grim Reaper traded places with a man that laughed at how easy it would be to be Death, however the man learned his lesson after watching countless lives being taken away at his hands. As a reminder, Death corrupted his blood and anything the man touches is burnt to a crisp.
Ability: The user has to touch the target in order to be able to apply the effect of this Lineage. Those that are affected have their magic power degenerate and receive a physical burn on the area touched. The degeneration and burning only last three posts. Those afflicted lose a D-Ranked amount of magic power per post. The burning does D-Ranked damaged per post as well.
Usage: Upon usage, the lineage can only affect the target for three posts, and can only be used three times a thread. Also, they will know the lineage is active because the user's hands begin to burn ethereally - they feel no pain however - and their skin burns away down to their bare bones. Their hands are then surrounded by a purple, fiery aura.
Unique Abilities:
• Shadow Deprivation: Hidden Power. This is a very limited use spell and it's very difficult to preform. This spell lasts for a limit of one post. The effects of this spell is an excruciating pain throughout the body of whomever is missing a shadow.
