Takai's General Personality...
If a stranger were to come into contact with Takai, the one thing they would remember when they left was his uplifting optimism. Happy and warm to almost everyone he meets has always made it easy for Takai to move around to different parts of the country and always have someone he knows be there waiting to greet him. Though its not always true, Takai always strives to make as many friends as he can and as few enemies as possible in any country, city, or land he goes to. As amicable as he is, Takai's behavior also makes those he spends alot of time with rather annoyed at his constant optimism.
Secrecy though seems to be the side effect of his happiness. Warm, open and always willing to speak with anyone he comes in contact with, Takai doesn't ever like it when the discussion comes back to him especially when it starts going into his past. When ever his personal life comes up in a conversation, Takai tries to avoid the conversation through use of jokes or trying to change the subject, he would even go as far as causing an accident to turn the limelight off of him. Though nothing else ever seems to dampen his spirits, when Takai's past is brought up and he can't avoid the discussion his mood changes drastically.
From warm and laid back, Takai's attitude shifts to a more somber and moody, his instinct changes to keep distance from everyone around him. Whatever happened in his past seems to be his biggest weakness. Whenever it comes up, this beaming man becomes a sulking heap that barely seems to have the energy to move much less do any real work. Once in this state very few things other than time every is able to bring him out of it. Though his sadness is almost crippling to him, if danger ever arises it vanishes from him like a cloud before a gale.
While in Battle...
Battles and missions are the things that Takai truly enjoy. Much like his optimistic nature to always find the good in a situation, when ever a battle arises Takai is always willing to partake and never backs down. When just a friendly fight between a new or potential friend, Takai's optimism doesn't fade from his personality. In fact a battle between friends enhances his warm nature, a helping attitude towards his opponent comes out as he eagerly tries to learn and help his opponent learn as well.
This however isn't the case when it comes to someone that threatens Takai's life or the life of one of his comrades. The optimistic guy vanishes from sight in his place is a man that is so analytical and serious in nature it is as if he was a completely different person. In this state, Takai is merciless to his opponent and will do what ever he can to take them down even if it means taking his own life. There is danger involved when Takai becomes like this, a chance of freeing a side of him that he suppresses though his constant optimism, a dark and evil side.
His childhood was so full of danger and grief that no young boy could have escaped it without scars. Where most would lose themselves in that environment, Takai thrived in it, letting the grief and misery fuel the evil within himself. Years of such exposure to such darkness changed Takai into a twisted being. When fighting someone that threatens him, this side of him has a chance of coming out. Once it does, Takai becomes as evil and ruthless as one can get, taking joy in injuring anyone around him no longer able to tell the difference between ally and enemy. Once this side of Takai is released the only way he is able to regain control is to be knocked out either by someone or by exhaustion.
While on a Mission...
Missions are a joy for this young mage, Takai always enjoying the chance to travel and see new things. While under the command of another guild member, Takai basically keeps his same mentality, happy and easy going. He knows how to follow orders and though he may act as if he isn't even listening. Though Takai usually follows orders, if he thinks that there is a better way of doing something he'll follow his own instinct instead of his leaders.
When in charge, Takai is still the same friendly guy that he is usually though he will often become somber when thinking over a plan. Eager to accomplish a mission, Takai will take any advice that his subordinates may off and think of how to best use their knowledge. As leader though, he takes all responsibility upon himself and the safety of his team is always at his forethought. If something ever where to go wroung, Takai would sacrifice himself if would save another member of his team.
Likes:
- Sparring with a Friend - Fighting is something Takai has always enjoyed and when it is to help himself or a friend learn to better themselves its that much better.
- Eating - Nothing satisfies Takai more than a full belly. Give him a hot meal and a warm place to sleep and he couldn't be happier.
- Being in the Woods - The tranquility of nature helps Takai suppress his darker side, the sounds and smells soothing his senses. For this reason he likes to spend as much time as he can just relaxing beneath a tree.
- Working with his Hands - Though he likes to relax, Takai also likes to feel like he has accomplished something. So any time he has the chance he'll make a small wood carving or something like that to give to a friend or for his own amusement.
- Playing with Children - Takai enjoys playing with children and seeing them smile, remembering the dark times from his own childhood so well that he wants to make sure that no other child to have to go through that.
Dislikes:
- Those who hurt others - having come from such a dark childhood,he hates seeing anyone hurt another person, especially kids, for no reason.
- Seafood - Takai hates the taste, hates the smell, and hates all those little bones. Personally he thinks that anything that swims around in its own waste isn't fit for eating.
- People that wont leave his secrets alone - Takai keeps his past a secret for a reason and he dislikes it when people don't just leave his past be.
- Those who are rude - Takai dislikes anyone that likes to spread their own misery onto to people that have done them no ill.
Motivations:
- Kill his Mentor
The Magician that taught Takai all he knew about magic and the element he controls, stole Takai away when he was still an infant. He took Takai to his lair where he started training Takai as a child in the magical arts. Part of the training consisted of torturing Takai for hours upon hours until he couldn't take anymore. Takai escaped when he was in his early teens, vowing to kill his Master for the suffering he put Takai through - Find his true Family
Takai never knew his real parents or if he has any other relatives. Ever since he realized that his Mentor wasn't his family he has sought to find them to know what happened after he left. - To Become the Strongest Mage
Having suffered beneath his Mentor's magic for so long, Takai swore to never be so powerless again. Since his escape he has trained himself to be more than he was so that he could never be so helpless and he could protect his friends from suffering the same thing he did.
Fears:
- Being helpless to save a friend
Takai seeks to have the strength to be able to protect himself and his friends of anything that may do them harm. He fears that he fail in that regard and have to stand by watching his friend die and not being able to do anything to prevent it. - Losing Control of his Darkside
Suppressing the Darkness within his soul took years of isolation and meditation. Though he now has a good grasp on his wicked side, Takai fears that he will be consumed by it once more and he'll destroy all he has grown to love. - Being Forgotten by his Friends
Takai spent years with no one but his torturous Master and know that he has friends he is afraid to lose them. The fear is to be left alone with one at his side so all he has left is to dwell on his past.

Appearance:
The clothing that adorns Takai is usually made of a material that is pitch black in color and gentle on the skin. The shirts are usually tight fitting just enough that it showed off the years of working out that chiseled his torso. His shirts are hidden though by a cloak that is just a black as the shirt he wore, covering him from his neck down to his shins. The only left showing by the cloak is the black boots that are made for traveling with thick souls and a padded inner lining. The cloak has a hood that can be pulled up to mask Takai's visage.
