"...do you understand, lad?" came a question from a wizened member of the Magic Council. He was your typical old Mage-looking guy what with the huge gray beard and old wooden staff. The two people he was talking to on the other hand, weren't your typical...well...anything. The first one was a disgruntled looking youth with blueish-black hair, short in stature and adorned in a simple black tee, khaki shorts, and straw sandals. His feline companion wrinkled his nose slightly before throwing his hands in the air. Two angelic wings sprouted magically from its back, shaking some feathers loose in the process. And without wasting anymore time, he latched on to the back of his companion's shirt and took to the sky with incredible speed. The Councilman simply stroked his beard as he watched the duo soar off into the distance. "Kid's got spunk, I'll give him that. We'll have to keep an eye on that one..."
