- Job Title: Cosplay Café (Neutral Job)
Rank: D
Player Requirements: Up to five people are allowed, preferably females but males are allowed as well. 15 posts minimum, at least 150 words per post.
Job Requirements: Must choose a suitable cosplay costume for either being a waitress, waiter, or chef. This can range from anything like maids, to bunnies, to butlers, to cat-girls/guys, whichever your character feels most appropriate for them. You are then to serve the customers that come in to the café for the rest of the day. The hours are from 6am to 10pm. If you harm any of the customers however, you are docked five hundred jewels from the reward for each one. And remember, the customer is always right. Even if they are wrong.
Job Location: Crocus
Job Description: “Ah, please, help. I have recently opened a lovely little café here in the Capital of Fiore, the lovely city of Crocus. It has fine food, fine drink, and has a prime location to draw in plenty of customers! But alas… all of my staff have taken ill, or gone off on holiday! I plead, I beg of anyone, please come help my café! If I lose even one day of business, I may not be able to pay the bank who owns the building at the end of the month! And then my café would be ruined and would have to close! Uniforms will be provided of course, and you will be well paid for your troubles. Travel expenses included!”
Enemies:
Weak: Three teenagers who have hit that “hit on everything” stage in life. Expect plenty of very cheesy pick-up lines.
Normal: Four school-children about five to ten years old, with no parental supervision. They may change their minds several times before finally getting around to ordering, and watch out, they may try to slip away without paying afterwards.
Strong: Two cosplay fans who will want to take pictures of anything, everything and everyone in a variety of poses. Depending on your costume, you may be asked to do certain things or hold certain poses.
Boss:The Ultimate Pervert! He cares not for your personal space, believing that you chose to work here and dress as such because you want the attention he gives you.
This customer will take any opportunity to “accidentally” brush against you, or touch your backside, or touch you in any way that could be construed as just short of harassment.
They will ogle, they will make innuendoes, they will drop stuff solely to watch you bend over and pick it up, they may even try to “date” you for the course of their meal, or command you like a master does their servants, taking the roleplaying to the test of your patience.
However, these usually tend to be the big tippers. So do try to restrain yourselves from lashing out at them hmm?
Reward: 2000 Jewels + Tip (Tip cannot exceed 100 jewels) plus the cosplay you chose to do this job. The manager has a surprising surplus.

She'd been there for over an hour, with the barrel across the cafe as her chair. It was one of those barrels that made your cushion bottom rugged with pain. But the pain was numbing in terms of the early hours she was sitting through, and even the beauty of the pre-sunrise sky wasn't comforting as it ought to be. That morning had been the eve of the biggest leap a Rune Knight in training like her would take, in a sense that she'd be trading dignity for duty.
And as for the meaning of duty, well, perhaps she considered her master's birthday something grander than her shame.
Mairin breathed in the slowly warming air through her lungs as she swung her legs over the barrel's edge. Her clear blue eyes were slightly darkened from the lack of sleep ever since she'd sign up for such an offer. She stared tiredly at the cafe, then back at the paper, and back again. Her emotions then were a range of questioning to a great amount of self-respect. Her stare lingered on the teasingly large amount of reward on the bottom of the paper. 2000 Jewels, it said, and is currently saying, reeling her in like a bear to a hunter's trap.
"It's enough," she mused, "It's more than enough to buy a new tea cup."
The hourglass in her head slipped a 7 AM in her brain as the sun rose higher, reaching past her ankles. It was a good sign, a cheeky good sign as the cafe rung bells with the opening of its doors. A woman with curly blonde hair flipped the welcome sign that sat at the left glass window, and with that, too, surely now, Mairin's enthusiasm was also flipped up immensely.
'Welcome!' It said, in big curly letters, almost like a switch that turned on a fancy chandelier. And the blue moth, the one with the sword at her hip, was beckoned even further.
"Wow, you're early today Mai!" the blonde woman, who's name was Lilian and nickname was Lee-lee, sauntered over as she threw an apron across Mairin shoulders, the fabric slinging on like silk. "I'm glad you decided to shed your cape, it'll be easier to change now. Don't ya think?" The tiny knight only nodded meekly, scratching her bright red cheeks, "Of course, you did tell me yesterday Lee-lee."
Lee-lee gave her trainee a small nudge, "Oh just look at you, all shy and everythin', just like yesterday, aye? Why don't ya head on over and get to it then? Hurry hurry! Customers are comin' in soon before ya know it~!" she ushered Mairin into the cafe with a girlish giggle, pointing over to the staff room that sat squashed between the men's restroom and the counter. "The job's gonna start an hour later, Mai, remember to be nice to our customers. They can be picky, but once ya'll get the job done, I'll pay ya a ton of money." She gave Mairin a sympathetic pat, "No worries, I won't call ya again if ya get any sort of trauma or somethin', haha, so take it easy kiddo."
It was a relatively small cafe, fancy enough to manifest a cute set of chairs and tables and old-ish brick beams. There were tiny paintings with the luxury of having a great number of anime figurines seating collectively on shelves and glued to the counter. Lee-lee had told Mairin yesterday that they were slowly trying to buy some other commodities like more costumes and so, perhaps even a few posters here and there. "Just hope they get some guards or this place could be flooded in perverts." she sighed, gripping unto Octavia for a bit of encouragement.
The smoothness of Octavia's molded handle was comforting, for it dictated a sense of self-worth. "No matter what," she began, closing the staff-door behind her with a tick to the door lock, "I won't give in."
She eyed the frilly waitress costume hanging by a metal hanger, positioned neatly beside a wide, rectangular mirror. The dress was blue, short and teasing, pink-ish and lacy, ribbons flooding her back region and perhaps even, just her size. Mairin yanked the dress off its pedestal and held it up against her, the mirror bright and clear.
Mairin shut her eyes tight. "Oh God, she wasn't joking when she said she'd make it just for me!"
