Out of the corner of his vision, Skyllon saw Venir burst onto the deck, and started to stand up in order to greet her, when a 'fellow' Slaver grabbed Sky's shirt, and jumped off the edge, dragging Sky along with him. "What the hell?!" He screamed, as he fell off of the ship. The Slaver still wouldn't let go of Skyllon, so, slowly, he felt the water entering his body. Skyllon was drowning, slowly, painfully suffocating as the water entered his lungs. "Nyargh!" He screamed, but he was underwater, and his screams were in vain, totally unheard. "Help!" He attempted to scream, but once again, it was in vain, totally unheard. However, the Slaver holding onto him left go, and Skyllon quickly swam to the surface, trying his absolute best not to fall unconscious. Eventually, he hit the surface, and gasped for air, almost hyperventilating, he was so relieved to have air at his disposal once again. He gasped for breath, each breath magic him even more elated. "Air!" He said quietly, "I absolutely love air." He said a little louder, "Thank God for air." He said, with a normal tone of voice. He was still in pain from the water that had entered his lungs, however, just having air at his disposal was a relief. He swam towards the ship, proceeding to hang on for his dear life. He clung there, hoping that Venir and Ziska would eventually realize where he was, and come save him, as he was really tired, and would probably faint soon.

Venir couldn't help but hear a familiar sounding screaming despite the chaos. Following the scream was a splash although there were countless splashed to be hear with many of the lowly slavers abandoning ship. The scream sounded similar to...."No way!" She dashed towards the edge of the ship to peer over the railing, her metal boots making loud clicks upon the wood of the ship. "Skyllon!" The young mage shouted over the railing searching the sea's for a somewhat familiar guild mate. There were plenty of slavers floating in the water but she couldn't quite spot Skyllon. A harsh shove from behind sent Venir toppling over the edge of the ship, hitting the cold waters with a splash. She resurfaced, strongly to stay above the water, her armor not exactly fitting for swimming.
The sea water burned her eyes making them water, and whenever she attempted to take a breath the water ended up getting caught in her throat. Despite that she spotted a familiar figure clinging to the side of the ship. "Include." She croaked up more sea water, but the card she placed on her staff listened to her plea. It absorbed with ease, and the power of flight was granted to the practically drowning girl. She moved quickly through the water, grabbing onto Skyllon by the hood and flying the two back up to the deck with quite a bit of struggle. She dropped her guild mate onto the wood, while she herself hit the deck with a thud. "Ow." It was quickly followed by a fit of coughing, trying to get as much sea water out of her lungs as possible. However, the young mage did not notice the forgotten slaver, with his gun pointed at her head.

Skyllon stared at the slaver, who had a gun pointed to Venir's face, however, the young girl seemed to have forgotten about the Slaver that had pushed her over. "Erm..." He poked Venir apprehensively, coughing as the Slaver cocked his gun. As he pulled the trigger, Skyllon threw himself in front of the gun, his consciousness drifting to another dimension, however, that didn't do very much, considering that there were now three holes in Skyllon's chest. The blood of his ancestors was able to seal one of the holes, and Skyllon was able to ignore much of the pain by drifting his conscious off to another dimension, but that didn't mean he wasn't physically impaired. He stood up, clenching his chest, his hand full of blood, and suppressing a groan, he punched the slaver in the face. It wasn't enough to much damage, but he was dazed, and hopefully, Venir would be able to get a hit or two in before he had time to react. "Bastard." He muttered under his breath, seizing his chance and limping out of the man's line of sight. He wondered if Venir had noticed the man, but as far as Sky was aware, he was out of bullets and hadn't reloaded his gun, so the girl should be safe, for now. Skyllon limped past the door and into the ship, finding an empty room and clenching his bloody chest. He hated guns, this was why he used melee weapons, he absolutely, positively hated guns. Granted, he did have one gun in his arsenal, but that was out of necessity.

Briefly, Venir felt someone poke her. She managed to open one watering eye as another coughing fit enveloped her. Skyllon was obviously the one who had poked her as to why she couldn't discern at first, couldn't he see that she clearly almost drowned? Yet finally her ruby gaze drifted towards the gun pointed at her. All she could do was freeze as she looked down the barrel of the gun, a familiar feeling ripping through her abdomen as memories washed over her. Her job with Lekuna, a disaster of a job that nearly resulted in both of their deaths. Lekuna's nearly at Venir's sword, and Venir's nearly at Lekuna's gun point. The platinum haired girl still bore the scar upon her belly from where the bullet had hit her. It was only natural that she disliked gun and even more natural that when one was pointed at her that she freeze up.
Just as the gun made a click, and a shot echoed through the air a body tossed itself in front of her. Instinctively, Venir had closed her eyes from the the loud and terrifying noise, preparing herself for the pain to come, or even for the cold embrace of death. Yet neither of those came. Slowly, Venir opened her eyes to see Skyllon in front of her. "Y-You-" She choked out glancing between her injured guild mate and the one who had hurt him. She rushed forward towards the gun wielding slaver who was hurriedly trying to reload his weapon, "Ahhhh!" She slammed her shoulder into him, taking both of them over the edge of the ship once more, but only one of them could fly through magic. As the gun wielding slaver hit the water Venir once more landed upon the deck, her armor still dripped of sea water but her lungs were finally clear of it. It appeared to be just her on the deck but Skyllon was nowhere in sight, and the only sign of him was a trail of blood, "Oh no...." She gasped before moving to follow the trail.

Skyllon hacked and wheezed, had he mentioned that he hated guns? He stood up slowly, the gunshot wounds slowly healing. He limped out onto the deck and did not see the Slaver, so he started to approach Venir. "Hey there." He said, weakly grinning and clutching his chest. "Have I ever told you that I absolutely hate guns?" He smiled weakly and collapsed, noticing that he was losing a lot of his blood, and that probably was not a good thing, not for him, or for anyone unfortunate enough to slip on his pool of blood. His vision started to blur, and Venir no longer looked like a human being, she looked more like, well, a blob. Skyllon tried to stand up, but found himself unable to perform even a feat as simple as that. His eyes slowly drifted shut, and he fell unconscious. The blackness would have been soothing, if he were conscious, however, he wasn't conscious, he was unconscious, on the verge of death. If all of Brennan's lost blood were to have been collected, it would be found that he had lost an astounding 50% of his blood. The chances of him surviving were almost nonexistent, and unless some did something soon, Brennan would die a particularly painful death. However, the blood of his Ancestors was hard at work, even after Brennan lost consciousness. Slowly but surely, blood was creeping back into his circulatory system, it would be a while before he regained consciousness if no one helped, but the chances of death were lower, thanks to his ancestors.

Venir had only just begun to follow the trail of blood when her injured guild mate had reappeared. She hadn't even left the deck yet, for an injured man Skyllon moved awfully quickly. "What are you doing!? You shouldn't be moving around like that." The platinum haired girl scolded what appeared to be her elder though in reality it was the other way around. Skyllon had managed to utter some words that Venir could relate to, apparently they had found something in common in rather bleak circumstances. Her blue haired guild mate had managed a rather pathetic attempt of a smile before collapsing in a puddle of his own blood. "What an idiot." The irritated but twinged with worry thought traveled through her head as she went to move him as carefully as possible. She had dragged him to the edge of the deck, to keep him away from harm's way before she inspected the wounds upon his chest.
They were grave, any regular human would have been dead by now. Yet it would appear that Skyllon was anything but regular, the wounds slowly but surely already beginning to heal. Of course it appeared as though they needed a little help, something that Venir was able to provide. She slipped one of her cards out of its frilly holster and placed it upon her staff. "Include!" She muttered, the card absorbing with a flash of light. She then placed the staff over Skyllon's chest, right where the wounds were. The golden star, with white wings on either side of it, hovered but a few inches over his bloodied chest, "Heal!" Crimson orbs burned with determination as the golden star emanated a soft yellow, warm glow. It would heal much but hopefully it would help close the holes, or at least aid her guildmate's quick healing abilities. However, as she focused on the healing of Skyllon, Venir almost didn't notice the enemies coming up from below. Apparently, Ziska was unable to hold them off, or at the least had managed to bypass them or even went protect the women in the cargo hold as Venir had requested.

As Skyllon's blood seeped into his body, he felt a glowing warmth, a warmth that would help him wake up. The bullet holes started to fade, and Skyllon's eyes flicked open. He pushed himself up with his hands, only to be greeted by another slaver, standing over little Venir, pointing a gun to her head. He sighed and stood up, causing the Slaver to shift his aim at Skyllon. "Do I have to get shot again? He mumbled, just quietly enough that no one heard him. He then dashed towards the Slaver, bang, bang, bang. Once again, there were three bullet holes in Skyllon's chest. Before he fainted, he saw an opening as the Slaver reloaded his gun, and dashed as near the inside of the ship as he could. He was able to reach a wall, and supported himself against it, groaning, getting shot was freaking annoying. At least he didn't feel much of the pain. Skyllon then promptly collapsed, once again, in a pool of his own blood. The wounds he had suffered would have killed a normal person long ago, however, Skyllon was not normal, so, his blood ever-so-slowly trickled back into his body. Had Skyllon been awake, he would have beat the crap out of the goddamn slaver, however, he was not awake, he was collapsed in a pool of his own blood. Without help, Skyllon would probably stay unconscious for at least another one or two hours. Skyllon's unconscious mind, and, to some extent, his conscious mind, were all hoping that Venir would be able to beat the Slaver.

"You have got to be kidding me."
It was the only thing that Venir could think of after hearing the familiar click of a gun behind her. Guns still terrified her but these gun wielding mages were becoming rather pesky to deal with. Even more pesky was her persistent guild mate who seemed intent on getting himself shot, perhaps he had some secret death wish? If it had been anyone other than a guild mate Venir would have been rather irritated at the situation, more at the slaver than the mage, but luckily it was her guild mate and instead she seemed almost worried. However, it would do her no good to check up on the blue haired mage while the gun wielding slaver still lurked about. He easily could have put some bullets in her while she tended to Skyllon, and another bullet within her body was not something that Venir would have enjoyed.
Subconsciously her fingertips brushed over her abdomen, ghosting over where the silver scar lay upon her flesh. Those fingers clenched into a fist and with a shout she charged at the slaver still stuck reloading his weapon. It was rather difficult to reload guns and it was one of the reasons as to why Venir never used them, along with her dislike of them of course. "Ah!" She shouted her standard battle cry and brought her staff down as hard as she could upon the slavers head. Despite her apparent size and age, Venir was still a more than capable mage, and along with being a mage she had a lot more strength then most grown men. The curious metal of the staff connected with the slavers head perfectly, a growing lump forming upon his skull as his body hit the deck with an audible thump. "Now to check on Skyllon-" She thought with a relieved sigh but still more enemies rushed to the deck much to Venir's dismay.

Skyllon heaved himself up, walking extremely strangely, as he was still extremely injured. He noticed that more slavers were arriving and cursed under his breath. He lugged himself to a secluded corner of the ship and breathed heavily. The wounds were closing, but he was still very much in pain. He wasn't very sure what to do, so he just sat on the ground and cracked his knuckles. He would have to rely on Venir, he was completely and totally out of his league. He stood up and leaned against the wall, clutching his wounds. He had been shot six times in one day, it was extremely irritating, and also extremely painful. He stared bitterly at the water, still scared of drowning, even though he was a good yard and a half above the water. Almost drowning had been a horrible experience, and he was almost sure that he had developed a phobia of water. How was he going to get out of here alive? Venir was a pretty strong mage, but it didn't change the fact that she was extremely young. He wished he could help Venir fend off the slavers, but he was extremely weak, and he was also quite the novice. He wasn't even actually sure what kind of magic Venir even used, but he did know that it seemed to be effective against the slavers, so he didn't question it. Brennan sighed, disappointed in his weakness, and leaned against the wall again. He yawned, and fought the urge to close his eyes.

The enemies that had found themselves on the deck were not your average slavers. One of them was woman and the other a man, but the two of them carried themselves differently. "The Captain and the First Mate." Venir briefly realized as the two made their way onto the deck with a certain sort of swagger. The two of them looked so natural as if this was where they belonged and were destined to be. The light from overhead sun caught their weapons just right creating a glint that Venir noticed causing her heart to almost stop. "More guns." She paled at the thought but despite wanting to cry or run away she held her ground. She had a guild mate, no make that guild mates, and an entire ship of slaves to protect. Skyllon had fallen out of Venir's crimson eyes sight, wherever he was she could only hope that the male was safe and not totally bleeding out. If she was lucky perhaps her job partner would actually step in and help at some point, provided that he didn't get shot again. At least she had managed to retain their attention, perhaps the captain and her second in command hadn't noticed her guild mates presence aboard the ship.
Gritting her teeth Venir fished a card or two out of her card holster. The captain and the first mate approach, no one had dared to draw their weapons just yet. It was a quiet sort of recognition, each of them recognizing eachother's strengths but weaknesses had yet to be determined. Well, almost undetermined save for Venir's rather obvious one,
"What a cute little thing I'm sure she'll fetch for quite a high price. Provided that we can get that ridiculous stick away from her."

Brennan looked around, and soon found a wooden pole, about four feet long. He figured that he should help, and this pole was the best he could do to help, given he had no time to channel his spells. He grabbed the pole, his left hand on top and his right hand on the bottom, and he charged at the male slaver. He wasn't spotted until it was too late, and Brennan slammed the pole into the male slaver, who figured to be the first mate, and he hit him straight in the lower back. Brennan heard a crack and twirled the pole, smashing it into the first mate's ribs. The first mate then proceeded to crumple onto the ground in pain. Brennan raised the pole to finish him off, but refrained himself, he needed this man alive for the reward. Then, the woman turned his way, staring the male mage straight in the face. "A male." She growled, "I won't be able to fetch more for you, now will I." She growled once again, and charged towards Sky. Brennan just barely managed to jump out of the way, and scrambled into a corner, desperately avoiding the shots of the Captain's guns. She shot, and again, and again, until she had used all six of her bullets. While she had her attention focused on reloading her guns, Skyllon, scrambled into a hidden corner, having felt that he had helped enough, for now. Brennan grimaced, the bullet wounds were still causing pain, however, they were much better than they had been 5 minutes ago.

"Skyllon!"
The young mage shouted as her eyes widened in surprise at her injured comrades sudden appearance. Even the Captain and her first mate seemed mildly surprised at his appearance as well. Enough so that Skyllon managed to take the First Mate on armed with a pole. Instinctively, Venir winced at the sound created by the pole and the man's back. That was a terrible sounding crack, and one that Venir could only pray wasn't fatal. She would be sure to lecture he guild mate on the importance of both life and death at a later and less dire time. A time in which Skyllon currently wasn't getting shot at by the rather enraged captain. "Include!" She slipped a card upon her staff, the object glowing in her hands for a moment as it changed its shape. Hardly a moment later a gleaming longsword was held delicately in her palms. The blade itself was almost as large as her body but she lifted it with ease, and it seemed almost natural in her hands.
"Ahhhhh!"
She yelled catching the captain attention. The platinum haired blonde raised the blade high above her head, charging straight towards the captain whom had aimed her only partially reloaded weapon. A shot rang through the air but the Ace of Eclipse Soul was just slightly faster bring her blade out so that the bullet made contact with her weapon, reflecting off and digging itself into the deck of the ship. She turned, putting her shoulder into the woman's abdomen knocking her back with more strength than the captain was clearly expecting her to have. Venir was more powerful than her childish appearance often let on. Still, the young girl was relentless, twirling the blade effortlessly and striking the woman's wrists one shallow cut on either side to make her drop her pistols. She had managed to avoid knicking any vital parts much to the captains dismay.

The captain seemed to be almost incapacitated, so Skyllon decided to knock her out, he couldn't risk her getting her guns back. 'Well,' He thought to himself, 'I suppose I could just get rid of her guns...' So, that's what he did, he ran out of corner, and put his foot on one of the guns, sliding it off of the boat, he then did the same thing with the other gun, grinning, they had done it. "Hey Venir!" Brennan said, "Should we bind 'em up, just to avoid any risks?" Before Venir even responded, the captain hissed, and said, "I'll kill you!" She then got up slowly, ignoring the shallow cuts on her wrists, and running towards Brennan angrily. Brennan sidestepped the attack and suddenly, a dagger appeared in his hand. "Well, what'dya know..." He said, chuckling, "Looks like I'm in danger." He chuckled, "Sound Burst." The sound waves between the daggers multiplied, and Skyllon swiped the dagger, performing a crescent motion. The sound waves knocked the captain against the wall, knocking her unconscious. Brennan grinned happily, satisfied with himself. But apparently, the captain was not unconscious, and she got up, charging towards Sky again. "Will you ever learn?" He said with a sigh, stabbing the captain in the shoulder, knocking her unconscious. "There we go." He said happily whistling, as he stood against a wall of the ship. "So... can we go now?" Brennan asked, wanting to go home and take a nap, preferably a really, really long nap.

At Brennan's appearance Venir could only curse. He had done his part what was he doing putting himself in more danger for nothing? The Captain apparently saw this as an opportunity of sorts, one that she would attempt and fail to take. Twice, the captain had tried to charge at Skyllon, apparently she had already learned that Venir and her were on two totally different levels. However, the cpatains wounds and lack of weapons made even her a simple target for thr heavily injured but rapidly healing Brennan. His strength wasn't one that Venir should have underestimated but she wasn't smiling in approval. It felt as if Brennan had been mocking the woman while she tried her best to attack him, though perhaps it was not entirely out of anger but instead in an attempt for the captain to die at anothers hands rather than by the noose that was awaiting her when they reached land.
"You're lucky." The young girl muttered, checking upon the captain and first mate for signs of life, both of them still breathing. "If you were slightly off you could have knicked a vital point." She was refferring to the captain and the knife wedged into the junction where neck and shoulder met. Much like Brennan she too wanted to go home, "I'd love to get going but you wouldn't happen to know how to steer a ship?" In the meantime Venir had gotten to tying the two groaning slavers up together, apologizing for causing anymore unnecessary pain. The two of them might have been bad people but they had already received their fair share of pain from the two mages, and Venir was not one to take pleasure in harming others. Besides the two of them had a worse fate waiting for them back at the docks.

Brennan apologized to Venir as she scolded him, he hadn't wanted to severely harm the Captain, he had just wanted to incapacitate her, he needed the reward to buy some things. He sighed as she asked if he could steer a ship. "I am unfortunately unable to steer a ship." He paused for a second, "But I can most certainly try." He slowly walked up to the wheel-like that seemed to command the ship, and rotated it. With that, the ship rotated one hundred and eighty degrees, "Uh... how do I make it go forward?" Brennan sighed, "Yeah, I probably shouldn't pilot the ship..." He sighed, and stepped down from the wheel, rejoining Venir. He stared at the roped up slavers and almost felt pity for them, almost. "You want to go give it a go, Venir?" He leaned against the wall, and stared at the ocean, wondering how they were going to get home, this ship was in the middle of nowhere. He was most definitely not swimming home, his lungs were still recuperating from his last time in the ocean, the time he almost drowned. He could still taste the salt water in his throat, the horrible taste infesting his taste buds. Brennan also wasn't going to fly home, because even if Venir could fly, Brennan was most definitely not able to do this. They had better get this ship working soon, or Brennan would be forced to swim home, no matter how adamantly his brain was against it, no matter how much the salt water burned his lungs.

"I suppose I can give it a shot."
The young mage grumbled, not necessarily in annoyance. She was sleepy after such an eventful day. "Be sure to go check on Ziska and the slaves below." With that the young ace dashed towards the wheel of the ship. It took her easily an hour to turn the ship around and head back towards Hargeon Town. The rocking of the boat had almost lulled her to sleep a few times but she managed to just barely stay awake. Docking the ship proved to be a far more difficult task than steering it. "Ooops." The ship shook, and the a terrible scrapping sound echoed through the air as the wood upon both the dock and the ship collided, sending countless boards up splintering them into pieces. A few startled passerby's had narrowly avoided the ship shouting out in dismay at the young captain, "I'm sorry!" She called out, peering over the railing making sure that no one was seriously injured, "Are there any Rune Knights about here?"

Sometime later the Eclipse Soul Trio was once more on land, the Rune Knights having just finished interrogating them as to what had happened. Despite saving the countless women aboard, and turning the two running the operation in, the mages still received quite a scolding. "I'm sorry." She made sure to bow her head, and both of her companions heads as well, "I swear we will never steal a boat again or destroy the dock again." She crossed her hand over her heart and even offered her pinky to the Rune Knight who looked at the young mage skeptically, still wondering how on earth she of all people had managed to help put an end to a slaving operation. With the Rune Knights gone, and the slaves free at last, every single one of them having thanked the Eclipse Soul mages, Venir finally turned her attention to her guild mates. "I think it's time we go home." She chirped brightly before adding with a rather sly grin, "And I have a rather long lecture for you two on the importance of life while we're walking!" After all, the two of them were far too reckless for their own good!
