The old, wooden planks creaked out as Quinton took a step. He had let out a slight curse to how loud the creaking was, making it practically impossible to maintain any kind of stealth. With the fight he was in for, Quinton didn’t want to put himself at any more of a disadvantage than he was already at. He had taken a job to hunt down a murderer that had been causing numerous deaths in the area, a man by the name of Jacob Goodnight. Jacob stood in at 6’6”, 350 pounds, with a face that only a mother could love.

Quinton had been told by the guards that they had been tracking Jacob’s movements, and had forced him towards the lower docks, with no way out. Now, Quinton just had to find him, and bring him in, dead or alive. The only thing he needed to do, was get out of this alive. “Shouldn’t be too hard…”Quinton tried to sound a little confident, but was obviously nervous. The man sounded like a monster. The fact a man with no magic was able to send the guards pissing themselves. As he continued walking, Quinton couldn’t help but feel like someone, or something, was watching him, prompting him to place a hand on his sword’s hilt.

The sound of something suddenly moving sent Quinton on high alert, pulling his blade partially out in preparation. His shoulders slouched as he saw the source of the noise, nothing more than a large rat knocking a pot over. “Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me…” His guard lowered as he sheathed his sword fully, unaware to a large figure towering behind him suddenly. By the time Quinton heard the boards behind him creak behind him, it was too late, being grabbed by the throat by none other than Jacob. “S-shiittt…” Quinton struggled to breath, having been caught completely off guard.

Quinton could feel his feet dangling off the ground as Jacob lifted him up without much effort. This man was truly a monster among men, threatening to slice Quinton as he raised a clever up in the air. Thinking quickly, Quinton swung his feet up and plowed them straight into Jacob’s face, knocking the behemoth off balance, dropping him in the process. As Jacob tumbled backwards, soon regaining his composure, the blue haired swordsmen prepared himself for a tough fight, unsheathing his sword and taking a defensive stance. “I don’t know how you were able to sneak up on me like that, but that won’t be happening again…”

With a surprising amount of speed, Jacob charged at Quinton, clever held high. Normally, the appropriate response for Quinton would be to just stab the man directly into the stomach, with how wide open he was, but Quinton was aiming to bring back the man alive, feeling like the murderer should be trialed properly. With a quick roll, Quinton was out of harm's way as Jacob came crashing through. ‘This is gonna be tricky...’ First things first, if Quinton wanted to take the man in alive, he’d have to get him away from that clever of his. One moments of hesitation could end up with his head lobbed off.

“Come on, I’m right here you big oaf.” The current plan was to just take advantage of the first opening he could get, and the best way to do that was to dig under his skin. It didn’t seem like it had much of an effect, Jacob still turning around and showing that mean looking mug of his. That’s when Quinton had himself an idea. If there was one that could pester any man, it was to take a shot at their pride. “This is the man that has been slicing up so many people? I’d figure someone would be more likely to die just from looking at your face than anything.”

What ever Quinton had said, it seemed to just irk Jacob enough to get him to charge straight at Quinton again. Just like last time, the swing was all too easy for Quinton to dodge. “Jesh, who is it that you murdered? An orphanage for the deaf and blind?” Quinton continued backstepping as Jacob kept pressing on, not letting up as the insults kept coming. The insults were starting to sink in, Jacob was becoming audibly angry, his face not able to look much more angry than it already was. Now was his chance to even the odds a bit.

Quinton felt the wooden beam behind him, just what he needed as Jacob swung for his neck. With a duck of the head, the clever dug itself quite deep into the almost 2 foot thick pole. Dropping his sword, Quinton drove himself forward, right into the man’s gut as he drove him clean off his feet and into the ground, spine first; however, that seemed to do little to the giant. Before Quinton was even back up on his feet, Jacob had his ham sized hand around Quinton’s neck. He slowly raised himself out of the cracked planks, hand still holding Quinton before lifting him into the air and slamming him through the boards and into the water below.

Jacob simply gave a smirk as admired his handy work, thinking that he had dealt with the blue haired boy with easy. Jacob hadn’t given him a second thought as he turned to pull his clever out of the pole he had almost cleanly cut through before Quinton burst out of the hole that was left behind, red streaks of what looked like blood glowing on the exposed parts of his body. That single chokeslam had done enough to Quinton to allow him to use Bloodsport, using his increased strength to dash quickly towards Jacob, Quinton was about to end this.

Jacob quickly pulled his clever out from the pull, turning to swing it at Quinton who had closed the gap faster than Jacob anticipated. Quinton was already too close for his mammoth arm’s to deal with him now. With a strong uppercut, Jacob left his feet, practically knocked out of his own shoes before he landed head first into the same pole his clever was stuck in. With a thunderous fall, Jacob had been left face first into the wooden planks, twitching slightly from the blow. Picking up his own sword and the clever, Quinton made use of some of the rope from around the docks, tieing Jacob up nice and securely.”Better hurry this up… no idea when if that’ll hold when he gets back up.” Throwing the rope over his shoulder, Quinton gave a grunt as he tugged Jacob along back to the authorities, breathing, but out cold.
