Strengths:
- The best element: of surprise (for people who aren't paranoid about canes)
- Not bound by ReQuip magic, ergo no cool downs
- Capable of slashing attacks AND bashing (as some foes just need a swift smack in the buttocks)
Weaknesses:
- Can't defend against heavier weapons (such as claymores, hammers, maces, etc)
- Lacks a hand guard like many other swords
- While longer than a dagger still requires close combat
- Weak in the face of magic or magical weapons
