    Heart of Ice

    Primary Magic: Heart of Ice: Frozen Hearth.

    Secondary Magic: N/A

    Caster or Holder: Caster

    Description: The magic Ming holds is one that has been developed by her family over generations for not only self defense but also to help the family. High in the mountains of Midi are a family of people who farm not crops or animals but rather some of the purest ice one can get around Earthland. The water that makes this ice is some of the purest mountain water one can get and nobles snap up what they can get for high prices. Because of this the nature of their "Farm" is living in harsh conditions to get the best samples possible before shipping them away for sale. With such conditions comes the threat of avalanche or even worse the threat of hungry Timber Wolves the size of a grown man starving to death. That was where the Zhao family created magic designed around helping the family while simultaneously protecting themselves. In this sense any time Ming casts a spell she creates "Territory" all her own claim the ground itself as her own so that allies and family may receive benefits for being near her zones.

    Strengths:

    ❄ The zones Ming creates can have beneficial effects for all allies that she cares for.

    ❄ Ming becomes very hard to kill over time as she has the hardiness of a true mountain woman.

    ❄ With all of her different Ice spells she can be very strong in colder environments due to her resilience to it.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ Ming is still limited in the number of her zones she can have at once meaning that people have to keep up with her to receive their benefits (or Ming with them as it were.)

    ❄ Ming has a natural soft spot for Earth Users who more easily crush her magic with ease.

    ❄ While Ming is able to keep herself going with her own benefits things like her territory and other spells work best when there are plenty of people to affect with them.

    ❄ Even with how useful she can be speed is not her strong suit as years in the frozen mountains and her unique body type make it harder to go faster than a usual jog.


    Lineage:
    Blizzard Wizard:

    Description: In ancient times there was an island made entirely of magical ice crystals. The people who lived there melted the magical ice and drank it daily instead of regular water. They needed the gifts the ice provided to survive during the cold winters. They could withstand the cold temperatures and icy winds. After many years, the gifts became part of their blood and it was passed down over the generations through reproduction. Some mages moved to the mainland to start their families there and so the unique and rare bloodline spread over Fiore. Mages with the bloodline today can call upon these gifts to gain a light blue aura around them that protects them from cold temperatures and the freezing effects of ice and ice magic. The ice can still harm them physically, but it cannot freeze them while they use this power.

    Ability: Immune to freezing and chilling effects (low temperatures), cancels freezing effects if used. Gives the user a 25% resistance to any and all ice spells, regardless of rank. They gain a single user-ranked ice spell (S Max) or a user-ranked minus one signature ice spell (A Max) in addition to their spells.

    Usage: Passive.

    Unique Abilities:

    ❄ Home of Ice: Ming has the ability that whenever she casts a spell (Exempting Signature ones.) she can create a field of frost beneath herself in a 5m wide radius around herself. This frost is what is known as "Territory" and any allies or people Ming considers a friend while inside this zone given a 20% Speed boost which is further increased by 5% per Rank of Ming herself. Ming may only have three Zones out at once and when she casts a new spell the oldest one is removed. These Zones last for 5 Posts. (Zones cannot stack their bonuses and will not be able to overlap eachother.)

    ❄ Woman of the Mountain: Ming with all her time in the mountains has been capable of gaining a sturdiness to herself that most would not expect. Because of this Ming gains an extra 10% HP per rank and will also take 25% Less damage from Ice based or Cold based spells.

    ❄ Stay Frosty: All of Mings spells apply a 25% Slow on those they hit lasting for 2 posts after the impact. If Ming were to hit an enemy with 3 spells back to back however, Ming will instead freeze the enemy solid stunning them for one post (Reduced to a 50% slow if they are one rank or higher than Ming and all slowing effects halved on enemies two ranks above Ming.)

    ❄ Frozen Defiance: Ming at the cost of being 25% slower all the time has a natural boost to her strength by 50% allowing her to hit harder even if she is much slower than one would expect.

    Signature Spells

    Name: Frost Reap.

    Rank: Same as User.

    Type: Ice, Offense, Ranged.

    Duration: Instant.

    Cooldown: 2 Posts.

    Description: Placing her hand on the ground Ming creates claws of glowing frosty ice 3 meters behind her opponent which after a minor delay of 0.25 seconds reaps inwards damaging enemies caught in it and pulling them to Ming herself dealing User (C) rank damage to them. The claw is 5 meters wide and reaps towards Ming at 15m/s with a max range of 20m.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Can help Ming make up for her lack of speed by making enemies come to her.

    ❄ Lets her pull enemies into other effects that may not be beneficial to them.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ That minor delay could be enough for someone to avoid the claw in time.

    ❄ Because this attack draws enemies in if she needs to keep people away from her it is not as useful.

    ❄ The claw is very obvious and makes a loud scraping noise as it drags.






    Name: Winters Bite.

    Rank: One Below the User.

    Type: Ice, Offense, AoE

    Duration: 2 Posts.

    Cooldown: 3 Posts.

    Description: Channeling her mana into her body Ming allows her right hand to be consumed by ice and frost covering it in the head of a dragon before striking forwards. If the head connects with the target they take an initial bit of damage equal to one rank below the user. After one post the impact point freezes over and detonates causing sharp pain in the area along with causing 1/2 one rank below the user in damage. The spell has the normal strike range of a physical strike and the normal speed a fist would go.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Allow Ming to strike in melee range as follow up to some of her spells.

    ❄ While simple in nature the extra delayed damage can be useful.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ The spell is only within striking distance of Mings hand meaning it is useless in long range combat.

    ❄ The strike is obvious in nature with how it is performed meaning it is easier to dodge.

    ❄ Because she must actually strike someone to deal the damage if they avoid the strike then the magic is gone.






    Name: Frozen Intent.

    Rank: D-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Support, Self-Buff.

    Duration: Next Spell Cast.

    Cooldown: 3 Posts (Starts when the buff is used up.)

    Description: Channeling mana into her hands Ming buffs her next spell cast to deal a bonus D-Ranks worth of damage along with the usual amount on top of it. The buff lasts until the next spell is cast but will not start the cooldown until she casts the spell either meaning you may only have one buff active at once.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Can allow another spell to deal much more damage than it initially could.

    ❄ Allows for her to buff a spell and adds it's own stack of Frost on an enemy.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ Will only take effect on the next spell cast and cannot be stacked with itself.

    ❄ If the spell misses then this buff is wasted.

    ❄ On it's own this spell is much weaker due to it only effecting spells.

    D-Rank Spells


    Name: Frost Field.

    Rank: D-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Defensive, AoE.

    Duration: 3 Posts.

    Cooldown: 4 Posts.

    Description: Channeling the mana in her body to her feet Ming creates a large 10m radius field around herself that slows enemies by 25% while they are within it. The field expands at 5m/s and gives off a large white mist which tells people where it is.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Can help Ming with zone control by making this a deterrent.

    ❄ With a large area of effect Ming can use this in tight spaces to keep people slowed.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ The zone does nothing more than slow enemies within it.

    ❄ The zone is stationary meaning after Ming moves on it will stay where it was cast.

    ❄ The effectiveness of the slow decreases with every rank above Ming the enemy is lowering by 5% per rank above down to a minimum of 10%






    Name: Frost Tomb.

    Rank: D-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Support, Targeted.

    Duration: Instant.

    Cooldown: 4 Posts.

    Description: Choosing a target Ming can do one of two things, within 5m of herself Ming can entomb an ally in solid ice for 5 seconds healing them by 5% of their HP and blocking one D-Rank or lower spell that tries to shatter it. Or she can cast it on herself healing herself by 10% and blocking at least one spell that is C-rank.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Allows Ming to defend herself and regen some much needed HP if she is in a pinch.

    ❄ Can be used on an ally to keep them topped off on health if they need it.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ With such a high CD Ming must pick her target wisely.

    ❄ Is much weaker when used on an ally to the point where it may not even save an ally.

    ❄ The ally version cannot block spells above D-Rank and will shatter not healing allies under it's effect if it is shattered this way. (Does the same if a higher rank spell shatters Mings own.)






    Name: Frost Crash.

    Rank: D-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Offense, AoE.

    Duration: Instant.

    Cooldown: 3 Posts.

    Description: Channeling mana into her hands Ming sends out a call to the air collecting thick blue ice into her hand before sending out a 3 foot long spear of said ice which travels at 9m/s to the max range of 15 meters before it shatters and turns to snow again. Should the Ice spear make contact with an enemy it will explode with a 5m diameter area dealing D-Rank damage to all hit and should the enemies be affected by Frost they will take an additional 1/2 D-Rank's worth of damage. The spear travels with a whizzing screech through the air.

    Strengths:

    ❄ The spell can deal a lot of damage to enemies that have been affected by her Frost.

    ❄ With enough aim Ming can blow apart a crowd of enemies if she is lucky.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ If the spear misses then it is only going to turn to snow doing nothing unless it hits an enemy.

    ❄ The damage potential of the spell is much lower if enemies do not have frost pre-applied.

    ❄ The sound of the ice collecting and the screech of it could alert enemies to her presence.






    Name: Frost Volley.

    Rank: D-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Offense, Cone, AoE.

    Duration: Instant.

    Cooldown: 2 Posts.

    Description: Collecting mana into her hands Ming sends out a volley of six shards of ice. Each shard deals D-Rank damage but will only be able to damage an enemy once meaning that she cannot stack the damage to close range enemies. The shards each fire out forwards 15 meters at 9m/s and with each shard being at 1m in length and thin as a railroad spike. The shards spread evenly between each other.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Can help deal with a crowd of people by applying frost to them all.

    ❄ Deals damage in an AoE cone in front of her making it so that enemies who are spread out are deterred.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ Is weaker when fighting melee mages due to the damage not stacking on the same target.

    ❄ The shards are much weaker in close range areas due to their spread.

    ❄ The spread means that enemies can weave through the gaps in the cone to avoid the damage if they are fast enough.

    C-Rank Spells


    Name: Frost Burn.

    Rank: C-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Offense, Melee.

    Duration: Instant.

    Cooldown: 3 Posts.

    Description: Placing a hand on an enemy Ming causes the water molecules in their body to begin a process of rapid freezing and thawing causing an unusual "Burn" Effect that deals 1.5x C-Rank damage to the enemy she touches. Before she can cause the effect her right hand glows with a very visible blue aura that will wear off if Ming touches anything but herself or an enemy.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Allows for her to fight in melee range with more ease by keeping this a threat.

    ❄ Along with the glow of her lineage passive Ming can fake-out an enemy to use this on.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ If Ming is forced to move away from a target then this spell could fizzle out.

    ❄ Require Ming to make contact with an enemy so if they keep her away then it is a useless cast.

    ❄ The burn effect of this spell requires her to heat molecules just as fast she freezes them making this spell not apply a Frost stack.






    Name: Flash Freeze.

    Rank: C-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Offense, AoE.

    Duration: Instant.

    Cooldown: 3 Posts.

    Description: Focusing her mana into her hand Ming creates a soft ball of ice an snow which upon 3 seconds of actual charging can be fired and condensed as a massive beam of pure cold. This blast strikes enemies in front of Ming within a 5m diameter of her and all those in front of her for up to 25m away with it reaching peak distance at 15m/s. The beam is white as snow and deals C-Rank damage to all enemies caught in it. The real danger of this spell is that the damage DOUBLES when it hits someone that already has a stack of Frost on them consuming these stacks in the process.

    Strengths:

    ❄ Can help deal with a group of enemies in front of Ming with ease.

    ❄ Allows her to take better advantage of her Frost passive by making the spell deal more damage for it.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ Consumes her Frost stacks meaning that Ming loses the slow on the enemy and the potential stun.

    ❄ The blast takes 3 seconds to arm and a big ball of ice and snow is easy to see and prepare for.

    ❄ When the blast fires it cause the temperature in the air to drop massively in a 50m diameter around Ming which combined with the sound of a loud crackling blast makes stealth a no go for this spell.






    Name: Frost Song.

    Rank: C-Rank.

    Type: Ice, Support, Music.

    Duration: 4 Posts.

    Cooldown: 5 Posts.

    Description: Channeling mana into her feet Ming creates a resonating sound through all of her active Frost Zones causing a resonating almost chant like and calming song to play. This ability causes the active speed boost while in these zones to be doubled up along with having a slight calming effect on those lower rank than Ming herself. This effects all active zones and can only be used while Ming has at least TWO active on the field. (The boost is halved on any mage 1 rank above Ming and ineffective on those Two or more Ranks above her.)

    Strengths:

    ❄ Can allow for herself to get around much faster and boost her allies much better.

    ❄ Lets Ming support her allies more actively no matter where she is.

    Weaknesses:

    ❄ The boost is only to the zones themselves meaning allies outside the zones receive no benefit.

    ❄ Can only be used while Ming has at least two zones out already.

    ❄ Because of the fact this only affects the zones themselves when she casts it Ming is unable to affect newly created zones after this spells cast.
