+ Ranks: It's like B + C Rank or C+D or D X 1.5
Used to show an attack that does particularly high damage under certain circumstances without going an entire rank up.
Magic
Primary Magic: Phoenix Fire
Secondary Magic: God Leg
Caster or Holder: Caster
Description: Phoenix Fire is a lost magic that only one human in the world is capable of using at any one time. It gives the user two primary abilities command of a mythical blue flame, that unlike normal fire can burn, heal and turn solid; the second ability is the power to turn into a phoenix/partial phoenix. Simon obtained this power by striking a bargain with The Phoenix. The Phoenix would be permitted to devour Simon's demon slayer magic and if Simon could survive the process he would be given the power of the Phoenix Fire. Simon was naturally burned to ash instantly as The Phoenix ripped his magic out of him and devoured it. But because Simon possessed a legendary pair of rings imbued with Phoenix Fire when they were melted by The Phoenix's attack they released some of the Fire stored within them and on contact with Simon's ashes they reacted with the power of the Phoenix Fire imbued on the ashes and Simon was able to rise from the ashes, reborn with new power.
https://www.fairytail-rp.com/t7669-bargaining-with-the-beast#103204 As seen here.
Simon uses the Phoenix Fire as it is intended as a magic that can attack, heal and defend, the power of a Hero. His fighting style with the flame combine his God Leg powers and his Phoenix Fire powers excellently, by coating his arms in the Phoenix Fire to give him wings of fire and becoming a partial phoenix Simon is able to fly around and use the power of the Phoenix Fire while at the same time leaving his legs free to attack with. In fact while in his partial phoenix form Simon's kicks are far more effective then ever because he no longer needs his legs to stand on the ground he can kick recklessly and freely. Simon doesn't use the full Phoenix form very much because it takes away from his kicking ability and he in his opinion isn't very cool. Simon's spells with the Phoenix Fire are usually one of 3 things, fire blasts, fire explosions, or fire walls. Said fire blasts being purely to attack things, the fire explosions to attack in an AOE while healing Simon and the fire walls to block attacks and to heal his allies.
Strengths:
-A Flame Unlike Any Other: The Phoenix fire has several unique attributes that gives it advantages other fire doesn't offer. Such as it's healing and solidification properties.
-A Heroes Power: The power to swoop in at the last minute, blow stuff up, defend the innocent, and heal the hurt! A power worthy of the greatest heroes! In other words it gets stuff done.
-Heroes Never Die: The Phoenix is immortal, always able to once again rise from the ashes. They don't die easy.
-Celestial Fire: Much like The Phoenix himself Simon's fire is unearthly and cannot be eaten by any slayers. It burns them just like anyone else. No exceptions, nothing can change this.
-Phoenix Law: The Phoenix Fire can distinguish friend from foe with very few exceptions.
Weaknesses:
-Rain Rain Go Away: Simon can't use his magic when wet. That means so spells, no passives. But Simon's high body temperature will evaporate any water touching him within 2 posts, to effectively seal his magic this way will require a constant stream of water.
-You will have the shortest life of any immortal ever, of all time: With great regeneration comes great recklessness. The Phoenix Fire's healing isn't infinite and a common downfall of it's users is forgetting that fact.
-Melting Rock: Go ahead try it, it's not gonna happen. When met with earth spells of equal or greater rank the Phoenix Fire will be over powered.
-Torch versus Ocean go!: When hit by water spells of equal or greater rank the Phoenix Fire will be over powered
-Being Made of Fire Isn't That Great: In his Full Phoenix Form Simon suffers double damage from water and earth spells.
-Celestial Spirit: Technically Simon became a celestial spirit when he obtained this magic. Somewhere in this world unknown to him there is a celestial spirit key that can summon and bind him against his will.
OOC: The key can be obtained by anyone as long as they are a celestial spirit mage and are the same rank or higher then Simon. To be obtained the mage would have to give up a spell slot for his key and role play obtaining the key.
-Double edged sword: While his flame is the only one capable of hurting fire slayers it is not capable of harming celestial spirit mages or celestial spirits.
Abilities/Powers:
-Regeneration Flames: Every post Simon recovers 2% of his health passively from the healing nature of the flames. It's not much but over time it can be very helpful. It also puts time on Simon's side.
-Full Phoenix Form:
- Spoiler:
-Partial Phoenix Form:
- Spoiler:
-Celestial Fire: Much like The Phoenix himself Simon's fire is unearthly and cannot be eaten by any slayers. It burns them just like anyone else.
-Celestial Spirit: Technically Simon became a celestial spirit when he obtained this magic. Somewhere in this world unknown to him there is a celestial spirit key that can summon and bind him. As part of his celestial spirit anatomy he has enhanced physical strength and speed comparable to that of a slayer, these effects stack with his god leg.
-Phoenix Forge: Raised on the streets of Ca=Elum by a metal forging demon Simon knows some things about metal working and thanks to his phoenix fire he is now a human forge. He can make just about anything from pre-existing metal in very little time. Unless there is pre-existing magic or enchantments on the metal used anything Simon creates have no special effects or passive abilities.
-Apex Predator: While birds aren't the first thing you think of when someone says apex predator The Phoenix is one hell of a bird. Simon can manifest the predator aura of The Phoenix, this causes him to appear to be The Phoenix itself to wild creatures or humans with highly developed senses. Generally this results in scaring off weak creatures.
- D-Rank Spells:
Name: Shining Star(*)
Rank: D
Type: Offensive, Fire, Explosion
Description: Simon's weakest explosion based spell. He throws his arms wide and spreads his feet apart before invoking the name of the spell. His body will blast burning hot blue light all around Simon in a 10 meter radius. This spell does 1/2 the damage of a normal d-rank spell and might slightly disorient the foe. Heals the user for 20% of their health and healing 5% of the health of any allies caught in the light.
Strengths:
-Blocking Light is Hard: You are going to have to get creative to block this spell.
-Healing light: Both allies of the caster and the user regain health from this spell being cast
-Distractions: Turning into a massive flash light can sometimes be useful for distractions.
Weaknesses:
-So Overt it's Covert... who are we kidding it's not covert in the slightest: This spell is a sure fire "hey look I'm over here" to enemies
-Lamps Don't Move: For the several second duration of this spell Simon cannot move.
-Explosives Only Explode Once: Simon can only use this spell once per thread.
-Reloading: When used spells marked with (*) are put on a 5 post cooldown.
Name: Wing Wall
Rank: D
Type: Defensive, Wall, Fire
Description: In partial phoenix form Simon wraps his wings around the target and turns his flames solid. Protecting them from around 3 d-rank spells of damage and healing them for 10% of their max health.
Strengths:
-Be the Hero!: Nothing screams hero more then covering up a defenseless person to protect them.
-Healing Fire: Not only is the target safe but they are also healed making for a very effective protection spell.
-Road Block: When Simon's flames are solid they cannot be passed through, this spell can be used alternatively to block off passages or hallways.
Weaknesses:
-Your back is exposed: Simon himself is not protected by this spell and is vulnerable to attack,
-Walls don't move: Simon cannot move while this spell is in effect.
-STOP, drop and roll: The target of this spell is immobilized until Simon releases them
-Duration/cool down: 2 posts/4 posts
Name: Fire Pressure
Rank: D
Type: Offensive, Fire
Description: Simon in his partial phoenix form brings down his wings on top of his enemy. At this time the wings are non-solid fire so it surrounds them in fire. Dealing d-rank damage every post the target remains within the flames.
Strengths:
-Point and Shoot: This spell is simple as that, point it at an enemy and let them burn.
-Attack on Everything: Fire Pressure damages everything within 2 meters of the primary target.
-It just keeps burning: Simon can keep this attack up for 3 posts or less, as long as the enemy is still withing the area of effect they will keep burning.
Weaknesses:
-No flight for you: Simon needs wings to fly and this spell monopolizes both of them.
-Collateral Damage: It's very easy for a fire to start from this, and also very easy for said fire to get way out of hand.
-Two wings or bust: If for some reason one of Simon's wings aren't working he can't cast this spell.
-Duration/Cool down: 3 posts/5 posts
Name: Fire Absorb
Rank: D
Type: Support, Healing
Description: Simon can only activate this effect in full phoenix form, when activated and he come into contact with fire he absorbs it to restore mana or health. Health and mana regeneration is proportional to the slayer's elemental eating chart. However magic fire cannot be absorbed.
Strengths:
-Bonfire? Not a problem: Simon can use this ability can clean up any unwanted flames piling up.
-Cease ye' fire attacks fools: Fire arrows, non magic fire projectiles, flaming explosives only serve to make Simon stronger.
-Stayin' alive stayin' alive ah ah ah stayin' alive: Just another way for Simon to heal and restore his mana making him even harder to keep down.
Weaknesses:
-Doesn't work on magic: Simple as that, Simon can't absorb magic fire.
-Choose 1: Per 'group' of fire absorbed Simon can only recover health OR mana, not both.
-Bad time for water: In this state water spells do 50% more damage then normal
-Duration/Cool down: 2 posts/6 posts
- C-Rank Spells:
Name: Phoenix Impact(*)
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Fire
Description: In full phoenix mode Simon charges a target while spinning like a drill going twice his normal maximum flight speed. On contact he will explode dealing C-Rank damage to anyone within 5 meters before he reforms 10 meters away regaining 5% of his health.
Strengths:
-Fast as a speeding bullet: As Simon charges with this spell he is about half the speed of sound.
-Boom: Simon pretty much becomes a missile with this spell, a big flaming missile with wings.
-He just keeps healing: It's not much in this spell but Simon recovers health after using it.
Weaknesses:
-Contact not choice: The spell detonates on contact with solid matter not by Simon's choice, just a simple thrown stone could cause the spell to be set off against his will.
-Ready steady go!: Going from 170 mph to 340 mph in the blink of an eye can be very hard to control and if Simon is disorientated he is likely to crash into something.
-Explosives Only Explode Once: Simon can only use this spell once per thread.
-Reloading: When used spells marked with (*) are put on a 5 post cooldown.
Name: Phoenix Talons
Rank: C
Type: Fire, Offensive, Buff
Description: In his partial phoenix form Simon coats hi legs in fire forming flaming talons to enhance the power of his kicks. When under this effect his kicks do d-rank damage on top of their already enhanced ability and being caught in the talons does d-rank burning damage for every post the target is still in the grip. Heals allies 5% of their health for every post that Simon holds onto them with the talons.
Strengths:
-My kicks are evolving: Simon's kicks are already a powerful force, now they are even strong and on fire.
-Death Grip: It's hard to grab things with your feet, with talons, not an issue.
-Save the damsel!: Simon's talons heal any allies he picks up with them allowing him to get injured people out of harms way while healing them.
Weaknesses:
-Getting a bit too big here: Between the big firey wings and the big fire talons it's hard to fit in any spaces that aren't dragon sized.
-I can't stand like this: With big fire talons sure Simon can latch onto things or dig his feet in the ground, but he can't really land without burning and tearing up the ground. Also standing on talons is awkward.
-Can you hold this for me?: While this spell is active both Simon's arms, legs, hands and feet are completely occupied and can't really interact with the world without setting it all on fire.
-Duration/Cool down: 3 post/5 post
Name: Phoenix Flare
Rank: C
Type: Offensive, Fire Blast thingy
Description: Simon in his partial or full phoenix form wraps his arms around himself charging magic power before spreading his wings wide releasing the magic power. The result is a big red fiery beam of death with a range of 30 meters dealing C-Rank rank damage to anyone hit by it.
Strengths:
-Death Beam: Get hit and go boom
-Melting Point: Be you metal, ice or just about any meltable solid, you are going to melt. Hitting any metal or ice magic at equal or lower rank will be overpowered effortlessly by this spell.
-The gift that keeps on killing: Usually Simon is in motion when using this spell so this beam like spell does damage in a line that is 30 to 40 meters long.
Weaknesses:
-Burning Earth: The flare beam can cause a large amount of collateral damage is the user is not careful, and even if they are careful they are still likely to blow stuff up.
-Quiet before the storm: During the casting process Simon moves 25% slower then normal and is not capable of casting other spells or mid-air maneuvers making him an easier then normal target.
-Timing: This spell has an inconvenient charge up time it cannot be fired right off the bat and once charged cannot be held in. Think a spartan laser from Halo.
-Duration/Cooldown: 2 post/6 post
- B-Rank Spells:
Name: Rebirth Flame(*)
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Fire, Explosion, Recovery
Description: Once this spell is initiated they begin to violently glow blue before exploding in a large sphere of fire that is 10 meters in radius. Any enemies within the blast suffers B-Rank damage, allies are healed 15% of their health and Simon is healed for 35% of his health as he reforms from the ashes. If it has not already been used in a thread and Simon dies the spell immediately actives involuntarily reviving Simon.
Strengths:
-Mr. Atomic Bomb: A large explosion that deals extreme damage to those caught within, it's not something you want to butt heads with.
-Ultimate Healing: No spell heals quite like the Rebirth Flame, 35% is some serious healing power. Allowing the user to recover from grave injuries.
-Plays well with others: This spell knows friend from foe, harming the foe and healing the friends.
Weaknesses:
-Revival Illness: After using the rebirth flame Simon is left disoriented and feeling ill, potentially putting him in a poor condition to fight.
-Wet Ashes: It takes an entire minute for Simon to be reborn from his ashes, this delay can be very dangerous in a fight. If Simon's ashes are wet he cannot revive until he dries out. When in ash form it takes 4 posts to dry off.
-Explosives Only Explode Once: Simon can only use this spell once per thread.
-Imperfect: This technique is a crude imitation of the revival powers of a phoenix. It can have random side effects ranging from hallucinations, nausea, anemic feelings, extreme fatigue, headaches and anything that can give you a bad day.
-With great power....: This spell consumes 2 times as much mana as a normal b-rank spell. If Simon doesn't have that much mana and he dies, the spell still takes effect except no damage is done to his enemies and his allies aren't healed and he is only healed for whatever magic he has left and is left unconscious.
Name: Mega Phoenix Flare
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Huge Fire Blast thingy
Description: Simon in his partial or full phoenix form wraps his arms around himself charging magic power before spreading his wings wide releasing the magic power. The result is a big red fiery beam of death with a range of 45 meters dealing B-Rank rank damage to anyone hit by it.
Strengths:
-Death Beam: Get hit and go boom
-Melting Point: Be you metal, ice or just about any meltable solid, you are going to melt. Hitting any metal or ice magic at equal or lower rank will be overpowered effortlessly by this spell.
-The gift that keeps on killing: Usually Simon is in motion when using this spell so this beam like spell does damage in a line that is 35 to 45 meters long.
Weaknesses:
-Burning Earth: The flare beam can cause a large amount of collateral damage is the user is not careful, and even if they are careful they are still likely to blow stuff up.
-Quiet before the storm: During the casting process Simon moves 30% slower then normal and is not capable of casting other spells or mid-air maneuvers making him an easier then normal target.
-Timing: This spell has an inconvenient charge up time it cannot be fired right off the bat and once charged cannot be held in. Think a spartan laser from Halo.
-Duration/Cooldown: 3 post/8 post
Name: Safe and Sound
Rank: B
Type: Fire Wall, Defense
Description: Simon holds his hands up in front of him curling them into fists surrounding them with twin fire balls, he spreads them out causing the fire balls to shoot forward hitting the ground 4 meters in front of him. On the spot that they hit a blue 2-D flaming phoenix icon springs up for a second before expanding and filling out to form a large flaming wall 5 meters tall, 1/2 a meter thick that circles around Simon forming a flaming ring of defense 4 meters in diamter. After all that it seals at the top becoming a dome. Heals every ally of the caster within 10% of their health every post they are within the dome. All hostiles within the dome are violently ejected by an invisible force as it is cast suffering C-Rank damage. Touching the fire of the dome does c-rank damage to hostile. Ineffective against substantially higher ranked attacks (S+)- Spoiler:
Strengths:
-Safe and Sound: Never thought you could be safe and have a chance to rest in the middle of a battle did you? Now you can. This dome is capable of withstanding multiple attacks from c and b rank attacks.
-Bring a friend: There is room in this flaming phoenix dome to share
-Field Hospital: Never a bad time for emergency healing, the healing powers of this spell can close wounds, cure poisons and illness, and makes you feel all warm and cozy.
Weaknesses:
-Lengthy Casting Procedure: In total the spell takes roughly 20 seconds to cast leaving the user and their allies vulnerable
-No way in, no way out: It's a great shield and all, but leaving or letting an ally in without completely dispelling it isn't an option
-Gosh Darn Water: Flames will be flames and a single B-Rank water spell will cut through this spell like butter.
-Duration/Cool down: 5 posts/10 posts
Name: Sky Fire
Rank: B
Type: Offensive, Fire
Description: Simon in his partial or full phoenix form while mid-flight activates this spell creating a large light blue magic circle in the sky right behind him this magic circle will trail him until the spell moves into it's next stage after a couple seconds. Once it does it will accelerate and pass over Simon. Once it is right in front of him Simon will stop mid-air and the magic circle will stop right in front of him. He will then flap his wings once with as much force as he can muster while invoking the name of the spell causing six mini-phoenix's to shoot out from the magic circle. Each phoenix carries a d-rank spell pay load at 230 mph that when they all hit together they deal a total of B+ damage.
Strengths:
-Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam Have a nice dream: The collective force of all 6 phoenix's carries a great deal of power behind it. More then most of Simon's spells of this rank.
-Seek and Destroy: The mini-phoenixes can be guided by Simon telepathically making them "smart" and capable of chasing an enemy.
-Multi-Targeting: Simon can choose to divide up the phoenix's among multiple targets to spread the damage.
Weaknesses:
-Burning Earth: 6 high speed exploding projectiles can cause a large amount of collateral damage is the user is not careful, and even if they are careful they are still likely to blow stuff up.
-We can stop the attack by.....blocking: This is the big Achilles heel of this spell, the spell has more total damage dealing potential then most b-rank spells but this comes at a cost. That total damage is delivered in d-rank packages so another b-rank or c-rank defense spell can stop this easily. This attack is really only effective against a target who's guard is down.
-Timing: This spell has an inconvenient charge up time it cannot be fired right off the bat and once charged cannot be held in. Think a spartan laser from Halo.
-Cooldown: 6 posts
Name: Game Changer
Rank: B
Type: Buff/Debuff/Area Effect
Description: Simon in any of his forms crosses his arms against his chest and offers a prayer to the god like Phoenix. If his prayer is heard a thunderclap can be heard in the heavens and Simon will begin emitting a golden multi-colored glow. The glow will expand outward covering a 35 meter diameter. Any of Simon's allies in the glow will be healed 30% of their health and their physical attacks will be boosted to slayer like strength and speed. All his does will suffer d-rank damage and feel their strength slightly wane, nothing big just the kind of feeling you get when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed.
Strengths:
-Phoenix Law: A spell that can tell from from foe with great accuracy
-Game Changer: It is what the name implies this can really turn around a close fight or turn a battle where the odds are stacked against into a close battle.
-Oooh pretty lights: And on top of all that it makes for a nice distress signal.
Weaknesses:
-Needs of the many: While his allies are healed and strengthened Simon himself gains no boosts from this spell.
-Living on a prayer: The spell only has a 50% chance of working as the Phoenix may ignore Simon's prayer. OOC: When the spell is cast I have to roll a "standard die" and the spell only works if it lands on an even number.
-Twig power: The "offense" side of this spell is very lacking to say the least, it's more annoying then anything.
-Cooldown: One use per thread.
- A-Rank Spells:
Name: Phoenix Eden
Rank: A
Type: Support
Description: Simon points at the sky and shoots a ball of fire heavenward from his finger. The fireball extends as it goes upward before it fades from sight. Then the sky catches fire. The heavens roar with flame before calming into an eerie red sky where traces of flames still linger above. This sky is Phoenix Eden and when its light shines allies of Simon have nothing to fear.
Strengths:
-Light of Life: Allies of Simon will be healed 7.5% of their health every post they stand within Phoenix Eden
-Strength to Fight: Allies of Simon recover 5% of their mana every post they stand within Phoenix Eden
-The Sky: This spell effects "Everything under the sky." Which is a pretty impressive range.
Weaknesses:
-Wait so it doesn't burn anything: Consider it set the sky on fire the spell is rather harmless
-Safety?: Because of Eden's large range and passive nature it doesn't create any form of safe zone in which a person can rest up and heal. So while it heals allies it does nothing to protect from future harm.
-Needs of the Many: Phoenix Eden does not restore Simon's mana
-Rain Rain Go Away: While the spell does clear the sky, by you know setting it on fire, a weather mage could create new clouds to block out the light of Phoenix Eden stopping its effects.
-Practical Implications: While yes the range is global, all the range past where the fighting is isn't really doing anything because there isn't anyone to heal out there. That would constitute about 99.9% of the range of the spell. Sure there may be some ally of Simon half way across the world who really needed a heal at that moment, but that doesn't really help the immediate situation. It mostly just looks cool.
-Duration/Cooldown: 5 post/8 post
Name: Renaissance Flame(*)
Rank: A
Type: Offensive, Fire, Explosion, Recovery
Description: Once this spell is initiated the caster begins to violently glow blue before exploding in a large sphere of fire that is 20 meters in radius. Any enemies within the blast suffers A-Rank damage, allies are healed 25% of their health and Simon is healed for 50% of his health as he reforms from the ashes. If it has not already been used in a thread and Simon dies the spell immediately actives involuntarily reviving Simon.
Note: This spells activation takes priority to Rebirth Flame(B-Rank) but loses priority to Dawn(S-Rank). So the second time Simon dies in a thread this will activate, however the second time the less powerful Rebirth flame will activate. This is the only exception to his "Okay that is enough exploding" weakness.
Strengths:
-Mr. Atomic Bomb: A large explosion that deals extreme damage to those caught within, it's not something you want to butt heads with.
-Ultimate Healing: 50% is some serious healing power. Allowing the user to recover from grave injuries.
-Reborn a better man: As this spell is a perfected version of his Rebirth Flame Simon no longer suffers revival illness.
Weaknesses:
-Power High: Simon experiences a power high after casting this spell. This spell has some awesome effects that leave him feeling awesome. Over confidence was always a weakness of Simon's and now it is off the charts.
-Okay that's enough exploding: Simon cannot use any more spells marked with (*) for the rest of the thread.
-With great power....: This spell consumes 2 times as much mana as a normal a-rank spell. If Simon doesn't have that much mana and he dies, the spell still takes effect except no damage is done to his enemies and his allies aren't healed and he is only healed for whatever magic he has left and is left unconscious.
Name: New Age
Rank: A
Type: Offensive
Description:
The original technique is described saying:
"The Phoenix howls at the top of his lungs; vibrating the air, and shaking nearly the entire mountain range. The howl can be heard all around Fiore; signaling the dawn of the new Era. The roar seems to last forever; and has a mental effect of uncanny magnitude; most who witness this roar at point blank range are paralyzed with fear, and majesty; usually kneeling to the Phoenix in defeat. "
Simon sort of does this. In any of his forms He inhales a large breath before unleashing a violent screech that seems far too loud for his tiny body. The sound is highly destructive and does A-rank damage to everyone within thirty meters. It should be noted the sound doesn't deal damage by blowing out a person's ears but rather the vibrations are so volatile it tears up everything in it's range. However like the original technique its greatest power is the profound mental effect. It attacks an individuals most primal instinct telling them that fleeing is the only option.
Strengths:
-Tremble Before Me!: The real danger of this spell is intimidation. By attacking primal instincts in a person no amount of mental training to suppress the feeling. While enough will power will enable a person to stand and fight, it is incredible difficult to fight smart and effectively when every fiber of your being tells you it is helpless.
-Simply Smashing: Block sound. Go ahead. I dare you.
-If Nothing Else...: Even if someone can negate the psychological impact of the spell, the sound still hurts like hell. So its not a total loss.
Weaknesses:
-Phoenix Rebellion: This one spell is not effected by Simon's "Phoenix Law" ability. It will destroy anything and everything, including Simon's allies.
-How much was the cost in damages?: Simon can't control the destruction of this spell, there is just no way. Like it or not he is bringing the house down.
-High Elevation Fail: At a height above 30 meters above the ground Simon cannot activate this spell because the air is too thin to properly activate. Which kinda sucks since he is a bird.
-Mental Will: Individuals of S-Rank or higher will not really be intimidated by this spell.
-Cooldown: 11 posts
- S-Rank Spells:
- Name: Dawn
Rank: S-rank
Type: Offensive, Revival
Description: After suffering fatal damage this spell automatically activates. Simon explodes in a massive ball of fire enough to encompass a small town. The flames deal S-Rank damage to enemies, no damage to neutral entities and heals allies for 15% health. Finally and most notable when the fire has cleared Simon will be revived from death and raised to full health. This spell takes priority over Renaissance Flame and will activate first. This is a trump card Simon can only use once per thread.
Strengths:
-The Tide of War: The range of this spell is large enough to effect a large number of people, greatly harming foes and greatly healing allies. This will turn the tide of even a desperate battle.
-Phoenix Law: The flame only burns that which Simon desires, a city wide attack that doesn't damage the city at all. That's a nice perk.
-Death can kiss my a- : Simon can use this spell to completely revive from 0 to 100, there is no more powerful healing ability.
Weaknesses:
-One Shot Wonder: An ability that allows a full and total recovery from all damage that can be re-used? I think not. This spell can only be used once per thread.
-Death Trigger: Simon cannot voluntarily activate Dawn. Only death can set it off which seems natural for a revival spell, however it means he can't do the town-wide explosion at will reducing its practicality.
-Brightness: Giant fire explosions are very bright and will blind everyone within its range for its duration. This will blind allies as well as foes. The blinding will be more noticeable to his allies however as the bad guys are currently being burniated and have other more pressing concerns. So for all practical purposes it only blinds his allies.
-Adrenaline: You know what feels better then dieing and being fully restored? Nothing at all. It generates an adrenaline rush intense enough to send Simon head first into extreme danger, which most certainly defeats the point of coming back to life.
-Duration/Cooldown: 3 post/8 post
Name: Destiny
Rank: S
Type: Transform
Description: Simon in his full phoenix form flies into the heavens vanishing from sight. Then a flaming rift opens in the sky and Simon returns from it at full power and full size. Taking on the full size of The Phoenix for a short time he can control its full power. In this form he has phenomenal strength and flying speed. Most important however is that he can produce and control highly destructive amounts of flame.
Strengths:
-All Might: In this form Simon posseses all the physical strength and speed of the true phoenix.
-Dominion: The fire power of The Phoenix is insane allowing Simon to unleash powerful blasts of fire magically.
-Burning Aura: The body heat of The Phoenix is immeasurable causing the air around it to heat to incredibly high temperatures. So much so that someone would have to be C-Rank to just survive being near him and higher to fight in those conditions.
Weaknesses:
-Rampage: The body of The Phoenix is not Simon's to control and he struggles to control it precisely. In short he is rather clumsy.
-Phoenix Lawsuit: Phoenix Fire only hurts the enemies of the caster, but in this form the ally/enemy list is set to that of The Phoenix and not Simon. As The Phoenix considers most things prey or its enemy only those who have completed the Phoenix Fire job are immune to this spell. So in short friendly fire protection is off.
-Armageddon: The Phoenix is highly destructive, just walking around can destroy lots of things. To properly fight? Let's just say there is no minimum safe distance for innocents.
-Filling Bigger Shoes: After the effect ends and Simon reverts to normal he loses 15% of his health.
-Duration/Cooldown: 3 post/9 post

S-Rank Signature Spell
Name: Perfect Phoenix Flare
Rank: S
Type: Offensive, Huge Fire Blast thingy
Description: Simon in his partial or full phoenix form wraps his arms around himself charging magic power before spreading his wings wide releasing the magic power. The result is a big red fiery beam of death as large as a mansion with a range of 95 meters dealing S-Rank rank damage to anyone hit by it.
Strengths:
-Death Beam: Get hit and go boom
-Melting Point: Be you metal, ice or just about any meltable solid, you are going to melt. Hitting any metal or ice magic at equal or lower rank will be overpowered effortlessly by this spell.
-The gift that keeps on killing: Usually Simon is in motion when using this spell so this beam like spell does damage in a line that is 65 to 85 meters long.
This charge up does not take more then 1 post but it is slow enough that Simon cannot use it when in immediate danger(I.E. to counter a fast approaching attack).

Giving up my legendary weapon Amo No Murakumo for an A-Rank Signature Spell slot
Name: Phoenix Rain
Rank: A-Rank
Type: Offensive
Description: Simon points into the sky super dramatic like and in response a shower of blue fire balls descends from the sky. The end result is pretty freaking awesome. So it's essentially a meteor shower of fire raining down on a thirty meter radius exploding all over the place.
Strengths:
-Biblical Power: This spell looks like something straight from revelations, which can be used to pull the wool over the eyes of various religious folk if used correctly...
-Raining Bombs: Bombs, falling from on high, it's a tricky spell to avoid.
-Speed: It takes only a second for any one fire ball to travel from the sky to the ground.
Weaknesses:
-Hey I wonder where that is going: That attack path of this spell is rather predictable, straight down.
-This was my home!: While friendly fire isn't a problem, this spell is destructive to the terrain around it.
-Subterranean: While yes this spell can be used under ground, the fire balls will still come from the sky so their effects will likely be non-existent. This also likely applies to indoors.
-Rainy Days: This spell cannot be activated while it is raining.
-Duration/Cooldown: 2 posts/5 posts
Giving up my strong weapon slot for a B-Rank signature spell
Name: Phoenix Rage
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Offensive
Description: Simon mentally selects a single spot, anywhere within 20 meters he can see and with a snap of his fingers an explosion of blue flame with a 5 meter diameter will erupt from that spot. Deals B-Rank damage
Strengths:
-Bombs on command: The Phoenix Rage kicks ass, that is all there is to say on the matter. It explodes and people get hurt.
-If I can see it I can blast it: If you are caught in Simon's gaze he can blast you to heck and back.
-Dodge a grenade: Once Simon activates the spell the explosion is all but instantaneous, dodging is really only possible if you are Shuhei or were outside the blast range when it was cast.
Weaknesses:
-No snap no dice: If Simon cannot snap his fingers the spell cannot activate. This could be cause by: his hands being wet, his fingers being forcibly held apart somehow, his phoenix wings beind active causing his arms to stop existing. The last of the 3 is a very common occurrence.
-Behind you: No matter how hard he tries or how he tries Simon cannot cast this spell in a direction he is not facing.
-The Flash: An brillaint explosion with a 5 meter diameter within 20 meters of you directly in front of you. Simon's visibility suffers a bit during and shortly after the spell.
-Cooldown: 2 posts
