Lex had seen storms before and this one was no different except it rained harder than usual. He took a sip of his coffee as he watched the rain pour out the window "This storm sure is something..." he muttered to himself as he set his cup down and leaned back. He felt bad for the people who were stuck out there in the rain, walking home, Returning from a job. It sucked to be them. He could not do anything about it and it made him feel bad about himself. Lex had not been able to adapt at all to life outside of his previous guild, savage skull. He recently had left that guild and joined the magic council. He knew things about the guild and he was being hunted for that information. They had a habit of killing people who left. He was wearing his usual white and black striped T-shirt and jeans. His clothes concealed the burn that he had left when he burned off the Savage skull guild tattoo in order to hide his past. The young councilman would close his eyes and start to fall asleep when he heard a few voices in the corner of the cafe were a family had been. A boy was there now, giving them money for a motel. He stared at the scene with one eye open. Once the boy sat back down he smiled "Not all people have bad hearts..." he thought to himself as he stood up and walked over to the boy. "May I sit here?" Lex asked after the waitress had left.
He shrugged and sat down with a small gleam as he took a small pouch out of his pocket. "I dont know if this would help you but you dont seem to have a lot of jewels. I admire what you did for them back there so here you go. You have a kind heart... Dont lose that." he said as he placed the pouch of jewels in front of the boy. He took a sip of his coffee before looking at the boy again "What is your name?" he said to the man in front of him.
He wished that he would have a kind heart himself. He had to work at it more and more each day until he had gotten rid of his past self.
