    Mizark's history Empty Mizark's history

    History:
Mizark Kiir's true name was not that. In reality, he was named Mizu Lightar, born in one small town far from the main cities of Fiore. He was children to two freelance wizards who took the  jobs they were brought, usually making them travel great distances. As a result, their only child was let to grow in the care of one of their trusted neighbors, who stood in the house making sure their son was okay. Not being able to see his parents that often, little Mizu soon proved to be quite independent, being able to do the most basic things on his own three years after his birth. It was also around that time that he began showing that the other inhabitants began questioning if he would possess the same magic power as his parents, although it was too soon to guess that.

Even though he hardly knew his progenitors, he cherished every moment he spent with them, although he usually regarded them more as a pair of friends he saw once in a while than true parents. Mostly everything he learned, which was not that much, had been self-taught, which made for a rather poor education. Being in the middle of nowhere, the village had little means to educate the newborns, so they relied on the hope that they would become wizards and get out of there as soon as they could. While most of his friends wanted to do so, Mizu did not see it the same way; he was happy living there, although he still understood little of the world.

Years passed, until the child was 6 months away from his seventh birthday. He had scurried away from his home, since the one who usually took care of him was not there at the moment, and kept his exploration of the town's vicinity. That day, however, he made a small discovery that would change his life. Or, rather than that, a quite big one. Next to a nearby oasis, hidden in a rocky cavity, was a being with a menacing aspect he had never seen before. It was a jet-black, white and grey colored creature with purple markings that traversed through his body. Its hair was black and had a blonde lock, and its face, while it could be described as "monstruous", seemed to be in pain. It was much bigger than any human he had ever seen.

The being looked shocked as Mizu, who shook a little, moved forward, and after examining him, the only thing he said was "You're hurt..." while looking at him with his deep, understanding eyes, meeting the creature's red gaze. Afterwards he escaped from the place, but would return a few hours later, carrying as much food and healing-magic lacrimas as his little body allowed him to. The following days, he took care of the creature, without the devil saying anything. However, the little boy talked to him every once in a while, even if he got no answer whatsoever. Needless to say, the demonic creature did not know if the boy was blind or outright stupid, but couldn't help but to silently thank him for what he was doing.

A few weeks later, the monster had disappeared, and everything returned to its normal course. When questioned what had happened, he simply shrugged off and avoided every questions. Another six months passed, with a few sporadical visits of his progenitors... and then disaster struck. It all happened in a single night, in a flash, we could better say. That night, a group of beasts appeared, waking everyone up, though the inhabitants would soon be put to rest again... to eternal rest. The vicious creatures destroyed mostly everything they could find, forcing the survivors into the main square. Among them, Mizu was there.

The boy was very afraid, but stood up and asked them why they were doing that. The only thing he got in response was sinister laughter, and a sentence. "You brought us here..." Then one of the devil-looking beings attempted to slay him right there. The little child, paralyzed and shaking, could only close his eyes as his imminent death approached. However, the moment did not come. When Mizu opened his eyes, the attacker was just like he had been seconds before: paralyzing and shaking.

Behind the brave kid, another creature stood, with an incredibly menacing gesture. Jet black, white and gray body with purple motives... It was pissed off, and it did not seem like things would get pretty should the monsters stay there for too long. Thus, they were quick to regain the movement of their bodies and run away from the village, leaving behind only a trail of fire and destruction. In the midst of confusion, the helping monster also vanished. As the citizens saw that display, their voices rose.

However, there were not praises for his valor, or for the demon's intervention. No, they accused him of having made contact with them, to have befriended them, and most importantly, to have brought them there. With looks of scorn, they realized that they had lost everything, and began noisily discussing about what they would do before deciding to go to a bigger city in order to try to survive.

The child, however, was not allowed to go with them, accused of having brought ruin to their settlement, and thus, he was left on his own, with everyone convinced that their parents would take him once they returned to the place. Tears filled Mizu's face when he realized that his friends and neighbors, who he had been nice to ever since his birth, had just deemed him as a monster, betraying his feelings towards them.

A few hours later, when they had already disappeared from the ruined place, the same demon came once more. His face had a look of concern and pity, but most of all, it was filled with affection. The human did not understand at first, but it would soon be clear for him who that creature was: the same he had been taking care of months before. The kid was, of course, somewhat terrified, but his fears would soon prove to be pointless.

"I can't let a cub die here..." -the demon had told him. Afterwards, it picked him up, taking him to his lair, which was not nearly as hellish as he had imagined. Instead, it was tropical, next to a rainforest. The creature introduced itself as Azazel, a demon, and told him that what had happened was not Mizu's fault, but his, since those demons attempted to struck once he was weakened enough, but since the child helped him heal back to his maximum, they lost their chance. Thus, they directed their rage to the village, leaving the Lightar homeless.

Much to his surprise, Azazel took him under his care for the next nine years. During that time, it changed Mizu's name to Mizark Kiir, which the boy happily adopted. For the first time in his life, he felt as if he truly had a family. The demon, although rough during the training, was very caring, filling the next years with a lot of happy moments for the male, who began considering him his own father.

Azazel taught him most of the basic things he would need to survive in Earthland, but most importantly, he also taught him a form of magic so he would be able to defend himself properly. Contrary to what most would think at this point, it was not Demon Slayer Magic, but rather, something completely different: it was the one the demon used in order to fight, which involved a strange martial arts style with it. Upon initiating in the paths of magic, Mizark was granted a pair of special combat gloves, which he would not separate from over the next years.

Once the boy had reached the age of 16, the demonic creature told him that his debt had been repaid, and thus, he had no reason to stay with the Kiir anymore, stating that he needed to grow up and explore the possibilities of that world by himself. He, however, knew that the devil was bluffing: it was his own way of saying goodbye to him. Plus, all the memories, all the good times they spent together... he knew that the demon was also sad to separate from him.

Thus, at the age of sixteen, the boy was left on his own, ready to try his luck at life after nine years of training under the demon's wing. Now, one year later, what will happen with the lost child, now grown up into a man? The answer lies in the future...
