The Thought of International Food!

Rose Garden had to be one of the best places to visit when one had nothing better to do! Magic was everywhere! From the streets and shops, to the lights and the drinks, EVERYTHING had magic involved somehow. Not only that, but the shops had exotic items from all over the WORLD. There were things in the shops that the Lamia Scale member could only dream about how they came about.

As she wandered the city, grabbing free samples of food and drink that some of the vendors put out, Aiyana noticed the largest swarm of people she had ever seen in front of the docks. Upon closer inspection, it appeared that Fiore had reopened the borders and were again allowing people to travel to other open border countries! 'I have to get one!' With that thought, she walked into the crowd.

What the poor girl had thought would be a simple task turned out to be one of the most difficult, without hurting people that is. "God! Is there really this many people raring for a passport?!?" The question was quite loud, but was still drowned out by the massive amount of people in the smaller space. It appeared the young woman would have to push her way through the crowd just to get to the start of the line, unless she found a way around.

'I could always have memory show and scare a few off if I can't get through,' she thought to herself jokingly. Instead of doing so, the small girl took every opportunity she could to walk between people as the chance came. Being short and skinny had its perks, moving between people that thought they couldn't be passed was quite amusing to her.

It didn't take long for her to find the beginning of the line that was actually structured and maintained. The only bad part was that it looked like she would be here for at LEAST an hour before she even managed to get to her turn for a passport. 'Well, it's not like I had anything other than random junk today. At least this way I could possibly do jobs in other lands, if they even allow me to do any.'

Popping her back, the noise startling the man ahead of her that was in a slight daze, the woman tried to figure out something to do while she waited in the slow moving line. She could always play around with her bandages, but she didn't really want to risk hitting, or startling, anyone in the line or around her. It was a magic overloaded city, but who expected random bandages flying through the air?

Almost....there....

It had been forty-five minutes since she had gotten into the line for passports, or so the tower clock said. At this point she didn't care how long it took as long as the girl finally got what she was here to get! Fortunately, some people were actually giving up this late into the game. Whether it was due to impatience, or lack of funds, she could not tell.

About ten minutes before she had realized a sign that told how much a passport would cost. Five thousand jewels was quite a bit for her right now, bit it was well worth it in the long run! If she could pick up one good job in some other place, say Minstrel for example, then she would easily pull a profit. There was a sudden lurch in the line a few seconds later, apparently they had pulled more people to work on getting passports purchased and set up! Such great news!

This was it! It was finally her turn! The lurch in the line had quickly become steady movement, and in a short time span she had found herself able to see at least ten people swiftly working on passports and rushing people off to get the next one done. Walking up to the nearest attendant that was open, she was instantly asked for her full name and the guild she was in.

”Aiyana Shuer, I'm a member of Lamia Scale.”

With that, the attendant did something around the counter that took a few minutes before she was asked to smile for a picture that was taken almost instantly as she gave the happiest smile she could muster with her eyes open. With that done, it was but a few more minutes before she was asked to pay. Handing over the five grand in jewels, the bandaged mage was given her passport. She was officially able to go to other lands, whether to explore or do jobs if she found some.

'Well worth the wait! Now to find something to eat,' she thought to herself as she quickly left the crowded area in search of something to snack on.
