Scare Away More Thugs! (Solo/Job)

This time, there were up against something that they knew they could handle once again. To take it easy last time was a mistake, and the both of them proved it very well. This time, they had more equipment, and since the Armada Ark has not been confirmed to be continued, he would like to carry out the tasks he could do. For one thing, this client can't seem to find the security he needs when off to trips. That's where these two came in. Last time, Elyx was knocked so hard into a deep sleep, he almost successfully slept for 24 hours straight. That would beat his current record by just thirty minutes, in which he woke up with barely any pain. It seems the B rank jobs had the ability to harm him nowadays, they paid more and got harder. For one thing, the infection job was just devastating to deal with. The tyrant has shown up more times than he could count, and not only that, but he was by far the worst enemy had had to struggle against for a long time. It was unclear for him to figure these things out, how these enemies could only grow stronger. Today though, he knew there was no way that they would be fighting strong enemies. There was one thing that unnerved him though, the fact that it was in the same place that he ended up in a feud to say the least, with Kylie. Kylie is a hunter from Shadelle, apparently a Bounty Hunter. Her orders were to kill Elyx, but she wanted his permission to do so before he did it. This is due to her not wanting to feel guilty for someone she used to call a friend. She was even so close to shooting him as well, inserting the nozzle of a gun into his mouth, only for him to knocked the gun away from her reach and give her something to think about. The treatment Cain gives her, and if that was the life that she was going to live. From there, she left him and Ignite alone.

Well Ignite, how about we take care of this quickly, we don't have much to lose. Besides, this guy owes us food after all since we prevented him from paying. Elyx explained, finally realizing why the jewel reward was not any higher. If it were, the man might as well have paid the people coming over to force him to pay, or shut down the shop otherwise. 5000 jewels though, that's a lot for a starter wizard. That must have been a high price, villagers normally don't have to deal with messing with that much money. There was something in this cold world that one should learn, that you do not want to be in debt with people who have too much power and evil intention. Or, even better, you do not want to be in debt at all and you can work for the money. Everything all comes down to hard work when one takes the time to think about it. Elyx was an example of that, so far, based on what he has heard, he knocks down jobs one after another. The fastest job taker in the lands of Fiore. That was a nice title to have, but it's not like he wanted to be the fastest in the first place. Ignite waking him up terribly was how he could even do them in the first place. Her love for jewels and other good items makes her want them so badly, and she was willing to pay any price in order to get it. Even if it means that price was Elyx's sleep. Still, because of her, the two of them were able to live in peace and luxery with the amount of jewels that they have and still have left over. Still, Ignite was greedy and wanted to add more to the bank. They even had their own staff members in their bank. Elyx's personal favorite was Timmy the Angel, a former Rising Star but powerful mage now, kicked out because he became A ranked. He charged a lot, but not too much for the She Phoenix or the Violinist. Ignite personally like Reki, he was smart and good with numbers. Sometimes he may be a slacker, but when he does a job, he nails it without a problem.

Elyx and Ignite did not have much of a chaotic morning this time. The both of them were not too talkative in the mornings anymore. They were waking up early in the morning and not seeing anyone else before sleeping. It wasn't much a life like that, the both of them needed to make friends... Tomorrow. That was their mentality, make friends the next day, then they get a job before they can actually carry out the job. Elyx damn it! I need to use the bathroom! Ignite exclaimed as she pounded on the door, everything but her hair being done. Elyx in the meantime was leaning on the wall, not doing anything except reading a magazine. It was nice to see that he and the She Phoenix were gaining popularity in Fiore, but no one is going to find his house, no matter how much Ignite wanted to blurt it out. Let me enjoy my magazine in peace! You and I made headlines, don't ruin it for me! Elyx exclaimed back towards the She Phoenix. From there, the boy realized he made a mistake, but it was too late to take it back now. The boy tried to dodge out of the way in order to avoid the door, but Ignite did a quick yet loud squeal before the bolts of the door were quickly damaged and the She Phoenix flew into the bathroom, quickly taking the magazine from the boy. Why didn't you tell me I was on a magazine damn it!? I would have loved to see this! Ignite exclaimed as she looked through the pages, and on a few she smiled happily, he was right about her and him making it on the news for people to see. It was them and their clients, them in battle, and other similar scenarios. Elyx, I might make you go on two jobs a day from now on for some more time on these papers! Ignite exclaimed, Elyx looking at her with disapproval on his face. Ignite, the only reason why we are even on here is because I'm a celebrity, but don't let that get to your head. Come on now! The client is waiting!

Ignite left her head frizzled this time, not even in a ponytail or flattened out straight. This actually gave her a nice curly hair sort of look instead of bedhead, which was not the luck Elyx would be able to get with all of the rabbits and horseshoes in the world. He always had to get his hair done, otherwise it would look like he just came out of a blown through mine cave. The both of them got themselves almost completely ready, then they walked out of the house with a brownie in their mouths. It was something that Ignite decided to take a class in. Recently, Elyx has been paying for cooking classes for Ignite since she really loved food. It was tough for her since she really loved sweets, and though she was able to handle all of the peppers in the world, it just tasted bitter for her to make anything spicy. She wanted to learn how to make desserts specifically, but anything would work provided she knew how to cook. The both of them continue to bite into the brownies, it seemed the expensive amount of jewels being paid off well, these were amazing in both of their mouths. The chocolate bars Elyx had to sacrifice for Ignite to make the perfect brownies, it was amazing. This was one talent that Ignite had that Elyx does not and probably will never learn to use. He liked to eat outside in different areas, whether it meant buying the food or relying on a friend who could cook, which he does not really have much of these days. The two of them began to walk, making sure not to stuff their faces too much in the food that Ignite made for the both of them. A lot of it was sweet, the real food in here was steamed rice and ground beef made into steak. There was also a cute little salt packet as well. The rest was all sweets, none of it being real food. And of course, the chocolate bars and the water packs. They had everything they needed for the night.

Hey Ignite, we are going to be sleeping in shifts again all right? This time, don't let me sleep for so long, I want you to get a good nights rest as well. Elyx explained as he put his right palm out, Ignite slapped it away and crossed her arms. She turned her head to the side and closed her eyes, leaving a little "Hmph" in the end. And to think I just wanted to make sure you were all right. Ignite explained with defiance in her tone, clearly not going to take the order. Maybe he should buy an alarm clock. Then again, if he did that, he knew the She Phoenix would use it to wake herself up, but it would wake him up as well since they had the same room. Who knows how long the She Phoenix is awake before Elyx is awaken, and that much time would be chopped off his sleeping time, which he gets little of now it is. The moral, do not get an alarm clock. Oh come on! You should sleep as well! It was my job to take care of you when you were a baby and I still do it now. So get sleep! Elyx exclaimed, but he knew that his words were not getting to her. Maybe he should just be glad that he would be getting extra sleep. Maybe he could trick the She Phoenix into sleeping through half of the night. No, that would be too much for her, she would object at that instant. Well, what else could be done? Well Elyx, we get a meal after that. It's nice getting coffee at the end of the night anyways. Come onnn! Give me a chance to just secure the place for the night. Hell, I'll let you rent an inn if you want. Ignite explained to Elyx, who tilted his head to the side. After giving the idea some thought, he put on a smile on his face and gave a definite answer. No. I am going to be guarding the place as well, this is my job that you dragged me into as well. If you wanted to take it, you should have just signed up as me and pretended it was your name. But instead, you woke me up, so I am doing the job as well, regardless of what you want. Elyx answered, causing Ignite to complain, but the boy shrugged it off and continued walking as if he did not hear anything be said from her mouth.

Well, guarding the place is not going to be hard. they probably just want to get the money, their boss must have wanted their heads. And in exchange they begged and got off... Really lucky. Man, that is amazing how they could come back in one piece. That is just me assuming things of course. Elyx explained, wondering how the thugs might have gotten off. Maybe they had to lose a man so their boss could send a message. Maybe the boss was coming this time. Was he a mage? No, there couldn't be a mage in charge of this, none mages were there only last time he went. Even if it was, it would not be a mage able to handle Elyx and Ignite as the same time. No, it had to at least be someone with a certain set of skills. Where did that come from and why did it sound so familiar? Regardless, Elyx and Ignite had to get to Hargeon Town, and even at their speeds, it was hard for them to get there. They decided to not waste their energy poorly and actually help themselves out by just walking and talking. Their nights in this job were normally easy for them anyways. The two of them continued to walk through the first town, and many eyes were glued onto them. Elyx just closed his eyes and smiled peacefully as he continued to walk through the town. Ignite on the other hand was having her mouth opened with as much awe as the people around her were. It was not often that she got this much attention, even in combat, another bit of luck as well. They continued to walk through the town, stopping for a little bit to get a map. They were able to locate some shortcuts on their way there, it was a great thing to have for peace of mind at least. The two of them continued to walk with a first shortcut, an underground tunnel behind the bushes of the stream. There will be a panel it said. That was where the two of them headed towards first.

The two of them continued to walk through the tunnel. This was a shortcut! No enemies to fear, just a lack of light in which Ignite already covered by existing! She was a fire She Phoenix after all, she was able to control fire and cast out light to help the both of them. Among the tunnels were different passages that allowed the both of them to go to any area of Fiore. Or so it would seem. Elyx now had a plan if he needed to be a spy, if the Magic Council needed information from the dark guilds, he now had a way to do just that. Who set up this system anyways? And why does almost no one use it It was on the map after all right? Hey Ignite, when you saw the map, did you see this underground passage on the map at all by any chance? Elyx asked as he pointed towards the piece of paper. The She Phoenix tilted her head to the side before shaking her head. Elyx, that space is blank, far away from the land on the paper I think. Ignite explain before looking up to Elyx, who was now really confused. He was so sure there was a bridge on it, but Ignite continued to refuse seeing it there, no matter how many times he tried to point it out. Was it just him seeing it? Was this place meant to be kept a secret? If so, why would it just be for him as well and how was he able to interpret that it was an underground tunnel? Was this a part of his magic? No, sensory was not able to determine things so strongly, still though, there was something about this place that was odd to say the least. Whatever it was saw a difference between him and Ignite, but Ignite was still allowed to travel through it it seems. Did the Magic Council mention anything about an underground tunnel? No matter, they now had access to the land of Fiore without even fighting monsters. Still, there may be some ares that can not be covered, like the international jobs. Still, it won't be a problem for him soon once he found out the system. In the meantime, he and Ignite continued to look at the pictures in the tunnel, which seemed more like a royal hallway instead.

The two of them continued to walk through the area carefully, making sure to be careful due to enemies being in the tunnels as well. Elyx had doubt that he was the only one who was able to see this on the map. It continued to move through the tunnel until he noticed that there was a fork in the path. When Elyx look back at the map again, it showed the three locations it was able to go to with these roads. The one on the left side allowed him to get to Hargeon town the fastest, so that was where the both of them continued to walk. At the end of the hallway, there was a wooden case of stairs in front of them. The both of them opened that hatch and soon found themselves back in the daylight, this time, at the end of a stream near Hargeon Town. The hatch was covered by a lot of bushes, it was amazing that no one has been able to see it. Or, not many people at least. Elyx knew he would have never seen it is he didn't read the map in the first place. He and Ignite continued to walk away towards the stream to wash their faces and cool themselves down for a little bit. they did not get this many chances to get a shortcut and cool down right after, this was extremely lucky for them. they did not even have to go through any questioning of any sort of what it was like to be them or what enemies have they encountered. Not to be that person, but eventually those questions get a little tiring to answer and you would sort of wish they would go away. Naturally, they won't until they know every last thing about the two of them. In the meantime, they could just use this underground passage in order to get through the system. Elyx and Ignite both continued to walk to the shop where their client was at, hopefully they were not going to mind them being early. Either that, or they could take another stroll. Scratch that, bad idea, he would have memories of Adrelissa again, and that was not healthy for his mind, especially on this job.

Hey Elyx, I heard of this fun game where you have to tell two lies and a truth. Wanna play that game with me? Ignite asked with hope in the tone of her voice. Was she serious? Two lies and a truth? That game really broke down his trust in people, did she real9ly want to play that game? He should show her one that at least involved cards in the game, like BS. Lets not, if we plan to learn bad things, we should at least use cards or gain money. We share a wallet, so we should go to the casino, which we will NOT do right now! Elyx explained as he crossed his arms, then Ignite began to whine like crazy. Come on! Stop being so lame! The casino is fun to sweep the jewels away from everyone! I bet you're just mad that I beat you last time. Ignite exclaimed as she began to quickly circle him, creating small parts of the words in between each movement. The few of them continued to walk, Elyx doing his best to ignore, but then he began to think of the amount of time that they had before they even got to their client. A few hours to gamble right? With Ignite by his side, they could multiply their profits by the current amount of jewels that he had. It would not be a bad thing to just yell All in without any fear of losing all that you put in. With a fake sigh, Elyx stopped where he was as he put his hands on his hips, closed his eyes, and pointed his head towards the ground. Fine. We have a few hours left before we actually have to get there. You are lucky that the tunnel was able to get us here way earlier than expected. We're going to have to get the appropriate attire though. Shopping time. Elyx explained as Ignite squealed happily and grabbed Elyx's wrist, running fast enough for the boys body to wave behind her like a flag. And the trip there did not take very long either.

Er... Ignite, I don't think this was part of my plan at all. I didn't think I would have to wear a top hat... And a blue vest as well. Elyx said as he stood in front of the casino without wanting to go in. Everyone around him and Ignite thought that they looked formal and rich, but this just made him look weird. And it seemed weird when one was not confident in wearing it as well. It made him seem like a student again, but that was not the look he was going for. Being a student back in high school at the weird village was way more than enough student for a lifetime. Ignite didn't seem to think so though, especially considering she seemed to be more formal than he did. She actually seemed elegant in her dress, though the orange hair might have killed the look, just a little bit. Still, it was not a good idea to say that to Ignite, or any lady for that matter. Instead, he just decided to talk his way out of it, because that has proven to work so well with the She Phoenix. Come on! you have been hearing the crowd, you look awesome! Definitely what a gambler like you would wear. Ignite said trying to comfort the boy. That actually offended him a little bit, how this would be something he would wear. He saw about ten other tuxedos that he thought were way better than this, and that's just in the bargain bin. This apparently was a new outfit, but that did not comfort him any. In fact, he had no idea what designer label it was even from, which worried him more since he might have given 20,000 jewels to a designer who might not even know what he was doing. Elyx and Ignite walked into the casino, the boy closing his eyes as he tried to make the problem go away by not seeing it, which was something that got many animals killed. The reactions however were surprisingly... Positive, even though he looked like a schoolboy.

A rich young one. Sounds like papa is going to sweep up the floor, come on kid, lets play a game. One of them men at the poker table called out to Elyx. He then looked over to Ignite. Come on, you too! I don't want ya left out, one of us got some money to make ya know. From there, Elyx and Ignite looked to each other, a grin on their face. This man must think he was very good at the game to think that he was going to actually be leeching off of their money. The boy might lose some rounds, but with the way Ignite plays, there was no doubt that they would be sucking up the table. Heh, sure man. I'd love to play, I have lots of jewels... But I'm sort of new to the game. Elyx stated, pretending to be innocent and new. But little did the man know that Ignite was a weapon of mass destruction. Elyx could make fake plays and increase the stakes, just for her to take them all out. It was all too perfect, and the man thought that the "kids" playing the game was going to be the best part of it as well. One of them will be smiling at the end of this with a new wallet, both of them knew that no one else would be able to beat them. Elyx and Ignite took a seat, filling up the last couple of spaces before the lights went down and the deal put in the cards, ready to shuffle. The poker faces were all too funny, Elyx wanted to laugh, but instead, to fool them, he just put on a smile on his face, looking over to Ignite to take care of them. She placed her cards face down and began the game, leading the calls while the boy placed the stakes higher, playing aggressive enough for Ignite to take over. From there, he folded, leaving the man and the She Phoenix at the River, in which she already revealed her hand. Double Shuffle, you're dead before the next turn. Ignite said with a smile as she put a smile on her face, causing the crowd to let out a melodious "Oooooooo". They were about to witness true Poker Playing.

That as amazing Ignite! You swept you the dude in a few games! Elyx exclaimed as the both of them walked out of the casino, a huge load of jewels being sent back to their homes. they paid for a transport back home as well, the table was sucked up instantly. Ignite came out with a bunch of rings on her fingers and a smile on her face. Money sometimes buys happiness when you look good. I just can't believe I made a man cry. That felt awesome! I want to do it again sometime! Ignite exclaimed as the bodyguards around the both of them agreed. Paid bodyguards, they were getting a lot of money, but with the money that would barely even cut into their wallets. The actual amount of jewels that were in his wallet were not being touched, but that rule was given since the amount Ignite looted from the casino was more than enough to last them for months to come. The bodyguards all had different sorts of weapons, guns, knives, some were even mages, though they would be considered D rank back at the guild. Still though, the fact that mages can guard their house was amazing. Well, time to see the client. At this rate, we should just be arriving to the client just in time. Men, you're allowed to go to our house now, use all of the telepods but one please. Thank you for the service. Ignite said as she clapped her hands twice, and the men did just as she had asked. Elyx smiled at the sight, not only was she living life, but she was dominating it from every angle. Soon she would have everything that life would have to offer her, if only he became stronger, he would take the serious jobs and they would be taken very seriously. Sure, people did not see them as a joke anymore, the boy with love of chocolate and weak magic flying with a baby Phoenix as if he were a kid. Now him and his Bounty Hunting partner, celebrities of Fiore, soon, Heroes.

The two of them got to the shop, the boydguards all leaving Elyx and Ignite alone as they carried out the rest of the job. It seemed the man was not there already, good, that means they could start their job without having to talk. The two of them were going to have to argue over who sleeps first, which sadly, the loser would have to go to sleep first. I got the most sleep last time! You need to sleep instead! Come on, you know I can defend you! Elyx explained, bringing out the lawyer side of him onto the field. On the opposite corner was Ignite, with her own counters. That Kylie girl was trying to kill you and you fought for your life right after! The mental and physical struggles were hard, of course you needed to sleep! And why you think I would even need guarding at all? I'm Ignite Rosella! Ignite countered, and that last statement right there sealed much of the deal right there. Elyx was not so quick to give up right there though, but before they could continue this interesting and not at all useless conversation not going in circles, they ended up being greeted by a few men. Greeted was of course an exaggeration of course. Yo! We need to money man! And why the hell do you look shorter anyways? One of the men exclaimed as he put out his hand, trying to shove Elyx out of the way. The boy caught the hand as it moved, then held onto it as the man tried to pull it out of the boys grasp. Elyx turned his head to the man with a neutral look on his face. Can you not be so rude sir? You should not address a Bounty Hunter so rashly. He explained as the mans hand was let go of. Instead of intimidation, the whole group of men laughed. Bounty Hunter!? You!? Ha! You're just a kid! Boys, lets teach bounty hunter and his girl here what a fighter truly is! The man said as the whole group ran towards the both of them. That was an easy way to trigger a fight.

It's funny how it was the bodyguard who was talking, after all, the bodyguard is not even supposed to be speaking. Then again, in the triangle of power, if one was greater than the others, they instantly can take down the other two and take control, regardless of what their role is supposed to be. And that was not something that Elyx just made up in his mind just now. The first one to try to attack Elyx was a man with a Toucan on his shoulder. But that was about it other than the umbrella in his hands, which was a bit weird. The next two to atatck were a couple of thugs, each of them equipped with knives. Ignite and Elyx stayed together as both groups charged, the distance between them was not too great, but it seemed that way with the pace that the toucans were flying and the thugs were running. Elyx knew he could beat them all in a race anytime, without Mystic Knight Iris or Extended Reach. The boy smirked as his eyes began to glow, using the effect of Leviathan Iris armor, creating a giant bubble of light to protect him and Ignite from any attacks. For each hit that the barrier took, that much health minus 97% of it would be added towards Elyx's health. Still, the boy did not even need it either, meaning that he was just beyond fine. He was just carrying out this move to mess with the enemies, knowing that they will not get through. He was also stalling for a little bit of time so he could gather enough magic in his body so he could pull out Shattered Iris Release. This move required lots of magic, but it would instantly knock out the thugs and possibly the Toucans if they were going in to take a hit. The boy smiled as he watched them, Ignite was just bored as she yawned. The knives were not even making a dent, no wonder why the She Phoenix would not be entertained. Elyx will let her release that fire soon enough, he was wanted to toy with these enemies first.

The thugs continued to stab and the toucans began to poke, both of them unable to get thrugh the barrier, but that did not stop them from doing what they did. Could they not see that the barrier was not being broken? It was like hitting a brick wall with a fist. Elyx crossed his arms as the useless onslaught continued. Eventually, he felt it rumble a little, but not actually breaking. Hey Elyx, the big idiot from two minutes ago is trying to pound his way in. Shall I push him back? Ignite asked as she looked over her shoulder to see him. Elyx knew that was what she wanted to do, get in on the action and burn things to ashes. She couldn't help it, causing destruction was just in her nature, she was not designed to be mellow. Why should the boy contain it against his enemies. The violinist nodded his head and answered with his tone approving of the thought. Be my guest Ignite. Hell, you can push them all back if you would like. Elyx explained as he opened his eyes again, then looked behind him to see Ignite with two fireballs in her palms and a smile on her face. Those were just the words she wanted to hear. She started off by shooting fire through the fire barrier to create a circle of fire. This meant for the non mages that they would have to step away from the fire or get hurt trying. Elyx then suddenly felt his Infinity Gazer activate its effect, allowing him to see a potential danger. The fire according to the gazer was going to flow through the barrier and wipe out the boy. This had to be prevented. He looked to Ignite once again before leaping towards her, she no longer could add fire to the giant fire barrier made. Meanwhile, Elyx looked back up, and he fire began to fall. He quickly lifted the barrier up so he could flip it over like a bowl, then watched as mos of the fire went into the bowl, the overflow causing some of it to hit the ground. It was like a deadly bowl of soup.

I work solo for a reason. Elyx said as he looked over to Ignite. To prevent any screw ups. But you Ignite, you have proven to just... Heh, say add gasoline to the fire. Look at how much light there is, it is lighting up the whole city! The boy looked at how the fire was creating heat and a light for everyone. In the spite of them almost dying due to the fire, it not only killed them, but they were able to create a beautiful light for all of them to see. The moment of praise was killed instantly by one of the men, who seemed to not like the light at all. Well, it is not that he did not like it, but it was not in the fight at all, so why should that be the only thing that everyone focused on. And to think that he could have taken the chance to get out while Elyx was talking, or at least try. Not without a lesson given to them of course, the fight was still on after all. Elyx looked back over to the men, the two with umbrellas looked at him with eyes wide open, their toucans not seeming to want to get involved with Ignites fire. The master of fire has spoken, the Immortal Phoenix Ignite put out her palm, a fireball forming in it instantly, and just like that, the two of them were sent back home running. Oh come on, I wasn't going to hurt you!... Much. Ignite said as she put a smile on her face. Elyx just continued to stare at the remaining three, the bodyguard was screaming back to the men with umbrellas. The thugs were not done it seemed, just the sort of battle Elyx wanted, where no one was holding back. At least, no one in the enemies corner. Meanwhile, Elyx and Ignite did not want to cause death, so they had no choice but to hold back their true power. Still, using minimal power to taunt their enemies was a lot of fun, and they were able to do it so often as well. Hopefully they would be strong enough to hit the A level of wizards. He felt like he could match them at any moment. As for the future, well, he might surpass the rank he is, whatever it may be.

Elyx placed his Mystic Knight Iris up, ready to handle the two thugs on his own. They raised their knives up at him, unafraid of the challenge that they were going to face. He was not joking about being a Bounty Hunter, but when they laughed at the face of one about that ones job, they earned themselves a small bounty. This hit was not going to kill them, but he can't say they would just be left off with a little bit of pain. Ignite stayed out of this battle, the dual wielding boy was more than capable of handling these two fools on his own. Meanwhile, the bodyguard crossed his arms and watched, playing the role of a bodyguard like a pro it seemed. He seemed more of a tyrant than a guard, but that was none of Elyx's business anyways, so he decided to leave that between him and his men, or the real leader for that matter. It was not the violinists role to be the peacemaker or banker of their little party. It was not like he would gain anything, they currently showed no promise of any actual jewels getting involved. Hmph! Too slow! Elyx exclaimed with taunt in his voice before spinning his blades out, Knight Iris instantly taking them both out with its effect of slicing through weapons. From there, the boys eyes then turned white, Mystic Knight Iris using its effect to let Elyxs body float above everyone else. Ignite just lifted her head up slowly as she watched her partner get lifted into the air, her eyes calm. Everyone else around him had their eyes shot open and their pupils shrinking instantly, the wizard form of Elyx revealing itself. He looked down below everyone else, then to Ignite before nodding his head, the She Phoenix preparing herself to block the attack. He then slashed his arm to the side to send a giant wave of light flying with such intensity. This wave went out for all of 45 meters, a tree getting hit in the process and knocking off most of the branches. All of the thugs and the bodyguard took a devastating hit of light, and Elyx ended up hitting his feet against the ground once again.

Elyx placed his right and left blades back in their crossed sheathes. It did not matter which blade went in each sheathe, they were both designed to hold almost any sort of weapon. Knight Iris and Mystic Knight Iris were almost exactly the same. Hmph! That was nothing and you fell down so quickly. What was that move even supposed to do to you? Elyx asked the thugs on the ground, who coughed out blood as they tried to answer, but it was clear that answering his question was not something they were able to do. It was something they deserved for trying to mess with his client and trying to down talk everything that Elyx represented, which he felt was his guild and its title. Bounty Hunting could be done by anyone if they are witty enough, it was nowhere near hard in his opinion to kill someone. then again, he never commited murder, maybe it was a lot harder than it seemed. The bodyguard exclaimed as he ran towards Elyx with a fist held high. The boy grabbed the wrist of the man before the hit could land, and Ignite backed up the boy by dashing quickly from behind Elyx and punching the mans exposed stomach. The man clutched back, gripping his stomach. Elyx quickly did a back flip kick with all the power in his legs, his shoe meeting the mans nose, knocking out a huge amount of blood from him. Ignite finished this off by jumping back at the man and holding him down by jumping on top of him onto his back and holding onto his arm. It was over by then, the thugs even fled the scene while they could. You don't even put much of a fight, how boring. Ignite said as she got up off of the man, letting him slowly stand up. Elyx was doing a lot better with helping her on ethics.

Argh! Damn you! The man exclaimed as he put up his hands to fix his nose back into place, only for a small moment of awkward silence occur. The mans eyes were shot open, and Elyx could guess why. That was not a good idea, putting a broken nose back in place makes you lose more blood and hurts like hell. Still, it beats it functioning the way it did before, and if a nose piece were splittered into the brain, it was not a good idea to keep it htere, or the brain damage would increase. The scream of the man was enough to send many people away, which would send a bad signal. Elyx took his fist and quickly slammed it against the right cheek of the man, knocking him deep into sleep for a while. The both of them were going to have to get rid of this man, at least send him far away so he would not return. There seemed to be only one place that the both of them could think of that would be safe enough to put him in, but they might also get him lost in the best place for travel. He has access to everywhere, then again, he does not have much speed. It would take forever for him to find out which part of the tunnels would reach the town. And if he ends up somewhere random, then it would end up being a hot mess for him and soon, he would end up giving the Magic Council reason to arrest him. He had quite the temper, and the organization for bribery can not be proven in his history, but it certainly can leave a bloody mark in the organization. Into the tunnels he goes huh Elyx? Well, we have to hurry, we don't want to leave this place for too long. Ignite explained as Elyx nodded his head. She knew full well what could happen as much as he did about what would happen if they leave a man down onto the ground with a bloody nose. They also knew what would happen if they left the place for too long. Elyx would have to run at full speed in order to go under the tunnels and back in time.

Elyx carried the man on his back while Ignite walked by his side. The more he thought about it, the more it would have made sense if one of them stayed at the shop while the other took care of this man. Though there was the chance of the man waking up, with either of their powers vs this man, that would not be a problem. Not even a sneak attack would affect them too much. Elyx had no way of using Infinity Gazer for this one, he used it once and it took too much magic power for him to use on that one shot alone. The two of them were so far into the lands anyways, and a nice stroll without an attack was a nice thought. They were supposed to be on guard, but they had to think of the ultimate goal behind the actions. To make sure nothing happens. Provided nothing happened to it, the job was done just as the owner wanted. This sort of loose thinking has never gotten anyone around Elyx hurt just quite yet. If he was at least 95% sure that nothing bad would happen, he was willing to think of doing it. Loose thinking belonged to Ignite, who was willing to set that bar down to 50%, and convincing her to do something was not hard. Changing her mind was the hard part in all honesty, but what could one do when they were convinced? Then again, that was better than not learning it at all, but that did not apply in this case. Ignite opened the hatch near the stream in the bushes, allowing Elyx to go in without dropping the man on the ground. The wooden stairs creaked when they both went down. Not a single part of him was willing to show any fear for Shadelle anymore. To show fear, you needed to have fear. Elyx crossed both of his blades to add defense to the force against the force palms. The boy was blocking magic with swords, he was getting much better at this. The difference in power is clear, Elyx has gotten way stronger than look. It's not like Luke didn't try, but he was so limited to his pace of learning while the boy freed himself from that pace and taught himself how to become strong. First, work out. Then, do studies. In Black Rose, Elyx tends to spend a lot of his time reading and learning about the history of Fiore. He has common knowledge of Shadelle and Fiore now. That is what he wants! Come on! Ignite exclaimed before shooting a ball of fire past the boy, creating a wall of fire between the two boys so that neither of them could get out. The man was not in sight, it seem Ignite placed him somewhere.

Luke, he was back in the tunnels as well. It seemed safe to say that this place was going to burn down to ashes, it was a good thing too, memories of the encounter was not something that Elyx would like to keep in this world. He will stop at nothing until the land of Shadelle is wiped out of existence, only one thing gets to live, the grave of his dead mother and father. Everything else can burn, he had Ignite to help him out with that The next time he steps onto their land, he will make sure to destroy all those he considered an enemy. Shadelle was considered his enemy, his birthplace, the place where he was given a good story as a kid when he would have nightmares. The place where he was taught basic information and magic. He wanted it all to go away, for all of the abuse that the people were put through. He wanted to put those people out of their misery as well. Come on Ignite! We need to bail out of here! Screw Luke, we will get out of here quickly! Elyx explained as he began to run. He wanted to get back to the owner just in time so that they would not get in trouble. The both of them continued to run as fast as their feet could take them. They headed to the wooden stairs quickly and climbed up back onto the earth, the sunrise beginning to show. Now they had to go at their fastest pace. Elyx pulled on Ignites wrist and used all of his enhancements to speed his way through the grass without any problems. This caused him to look like a blur as he continued to run through the meadows to get back into the town. The boy never felt so slow in his life, even though he never ran at this intense speed before. The both of them were speeding by so quickly, friction seemed to not exist within every step. Finally, they got to the doors of the area they needed to protect, and it seemed like nothing else happened. And guess who arrived back?

The man said happily as he clicked the key into the door. Elyx and Ignite both smiled, mainly out of assurance that the man did not know that they were gone. Now that there was no problem, they could grab a cup of coffee easily and avoid sleeping until they got home. Thank you so much sir. Elyx said, repeating the word over so that he could get the point across. It eventually got the She Phoenix annoyed as she cupped her hand over Elyxs mouth. He's real tired. Just give us the heart attack coffee, and maybe some hotcakes with blueberries, chocolate chips and a smudge of that fattest butter you can give us. Ignite said as she placed her hand on her cheek as she rested her elbow down onto the counter. The boy smiled as Ignite was able to handle the order. He was stressing over not having any sleep and the Luke incident. The mental games are hard to get over, guilt was an emotion he wished he never had. Nea always did take care of him as a child. Ever since he was a baby, he had a few memories back then. Then the boy ran away from her, rejecting her just like that because of blood relations. Well, it was not that, but the fact that she lied to him and hid the truth from him was very unnerving. The boy could not think about this sort of thing, it will make him crack. He just needed sleep for now, that will make him very happy. But first, it was time to get shot awake with a lot of coffee. From there, the two can get back home to Black Rose, right where they belong.
