Special Characteristics
- Scars
Aedre has a few notable scars on various parts of her body, usually afflicted in different spans of time in her long and twisted career as a mage. The most prominent among them would be on her right eye though, as it runs deep in a vertical way; cutting across from above her eyebrow, right upto mid-cheek. However, she's prone to hide this scar by using a white flower, a lily, to be precise, and pinning it to her hair in such a way that it covers her right eye completely. Other scars range from a few on her wrists and legs, as well as a greater concentration on her back.
- Tattoos
Aedre has exactly three tattoos etched on her skin, out of which, only one is up for plain visibility. This one is actually the the most prominent among them all, mostly due to its size; as it happens to range right from her lower ribs to the waist. The second one is in the shape of a trident- and etched on Aedre's back; with a space of four fingers from the base of her neck. Its an insignia that speaks of her foster parent- the Torrent God, Poseidon and is more of a blessing from her mentor, than anything else. The third one is the Guild tattoo itself, which is etched onto the opisthenar of Aedre's right hand.
- Prosthetic left arm
After a showdown with some werewolves in the Haunted Village, Aedre happened to get her left arm decapitated just above the elbow. She has taken care of this issue by starting to use a prosthetic metal arm that works as good (or maybe even better) as a normal arm of flesh and bones.
Personality
In General...
Aedre is a woman focused on making the world a better place... For herself. Her primary goal is to find out the meaning in life. What is her purpose? How can she best serve her Guild in this life? She is an idealist and a perfectionist, who drives herself hard in her quest for achieving the goals she has identified for herself.
Aedre is highly intuitive about people. She relies heavily on her intuitions to guide her, and uses the discoveries to constantly search for value in life. She is on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning in underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through her value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help her define or refine her own path in life. The goal at the end of the path is always the same - to change the world.
Generally thoughtful and considerate, Aedre is a good listener and can put people at ease. Infact, she enjoys listening to people, regardless is she actually likes those people or not. To put in short, its just an attempt to know more about the person on the other end. Although she may be reserved in expressing emotion, she can at least pretend to have a very deep well of caring for some and that she is genuinely interested in understanding people. This sincerity is sensed by others, making Aedre a valued friend and confidante. If she desires, the young woman can be quite warm to the people she knows well. Albeit, this will rarely ever happen in reality; for most of the times, her aim is to simply get her job done. So, if acting as a friend helps her to get what she desires, then the woman won't hesitate in the slightest bit.
Aedre does not prefer verbal conflict, and goes to great lengths to avoid it. If she must face it, she will always approach it from the perspective of her feelings. In conflict situations, Aedre places little importance on who is right and who is wrong. She focuses on the way that the conflict makes her feel, and indeed doesn't really care whether or not she's right. She doesn't want to feel badly. This trait sometimes makes her appear irrational and illogical in conflict situations that needs her to use a lot of words rather than power itself. This is solely due to the fact that when speaking in a conflict, there's no way she can keep her emotions aside and the woman really doesn't run good with emotions and feelings. So, she lives by a formula that keeps her away from verbal conflicts. In her opinion, its better to settle the scores with power alone. On the other hand, she makes a very good mediator, and is typically good at solving other people's conflicts, because she intuitively understands people's perspectives. Just a pep-in-the-step for someone who observes and loves to understand people as much as possible.
Aedre is flexible and laid-back, until one of her values is violated. In the face of her value system being threatened, she can become an aggressive defender, fighting passionately for her cause. When she has adopted a project or job which she's interested in, it usually becomes a cause for her. Although she's not a highly detail-oriented individual, she will cover every possible detail with determination and vigor when working for her cause.
When it comes to the mundane details of life maintenance, Aedre is typically completely unaware of such things. She might go for long periods without noticing a stain on the carpet, but carefully and meticulously brushes a speck of dust off of her favorite book.
Aedre is comfortable in dealing with hard facts and logic. She tends to not focus on her feelings and the human condition makes it easy for her to deal with impersonal judgment. She completely understands and believes in the validity of impersonal judgment, which makes her naturally rather effective at using it. Aedre will generally go with impersonal analysis and is capable of being quite logical. Under stress, it's not uncommon for the woman to calmly hold a stance in the middle of the battleground and let the facts shift slowly through her mind, while she simply chooses to defend her body at that point of time.
Aedre has very high standards and is more or less of a perfectionist. Consequently, she is usually hard on herself, and doesn't give enough credit. She might have problems working on a project in a group, because her standards are likely to be higher than other members of the group. In group situations, she may have a control problem. Aedre seriously needs to work on balancing her high ideals with the requirements of every day living. Without resolving this conflict, she'll never be happy with herself, and may become confused and paralyzed about what to do with her life. She is at her very best in situations where she's working for personal goals and in which she just needs to use hard logic and not mix up a lot of emotions with it.
Conclusively, an Aedre who functions in her well-developed sides can accomplish great and wonderful things, which she will rarely give herself credit for.
In A Battle...
Aedre is completely fine with battles and conflicts that need a show of power above everything else. As mentioned before, she doesn't like to bring in emotions in the heat of battle; so her mind is completely focused on the task at hand. During a battle, one can barely see features of the woman's face twitch- no matter if she's torturing or killing. Perhaps, her only way of expressing herself at such a moment would be by raising an eyebrow for surprise, a smirk gracing across her lips or a sarcastic little statement. She tries her very best to not let go of her well-trained control on herself and perform any actions more than that. Her main aim in a battle is to get the job done as quickly as possible. She's not too much of a torturer and only resorts to it when the opponent is someone she deems worthy (that is, someone nearer to her own power level). No matter who the opponent is, Aedre keeps her calm, manipulative and decisive personality up and doesn't let feelings get in her way. To be honest, its almost like she locks up the emotional side of her in some damned corner of her head. Alongside the task being successfully completed, Aedre likes to have a bit of twisted fun with it- provided that she's in the right mood. So, there may be times when she will toy around with weaker opponents; especially when they're very few in number. Let's say, its her way of enjoying the "game". The woman is generally ruthless, violent and possessed a certain aptitude in killing. It rarely ever happens that her battleground won't register a single case of death... For that is what she brings about every time. Death.
Leadership...
As somebody who is able to travel beyond eyeballs and see things from other people's perspectives, Aedre does well under leaders. She generally won't work under people who she knows she won't fit along with, while in the case of a disagreement with them; its her best talent to assuage them into her ways with as much eloquence in her words as possible. On the other hand, Aedre doesn't assume the leadership position herself and avoids it as much as possible. Its solely due to the fact that she doesn't like to feel responsible for other people and their actions. However, she is almost forced to take up that role when her co-workers are weaker than her or really need a smack of guidance. Even as a leader, the woman is not too pressing with her orders, as she lets the people decide what is good or what is bad for themselves- basically, hating to be a complete dictator. After all, if they die in the process... they die due to their own foolish decisions.

- Pain Of The Enemy
Somewhere along the line, Aedre developed a bit of a sadistic side for herself. She started enjoying weakness of her enemies. Seeing them withering and cowering in pain became a thing of extreme fascination and she only grew herself more into it. She loves to make them feel as if they're fighting a hopeless battle for themselves, meeting nothing but their end. She's the person you'd expect to sit back and watch the carnage left behind after a battle.
- Power
Aedre adores the idea of power. She loves being in control of all situations, but not exactly the center of attention. This might make her seem like a manipulative individual, which by a long extent is true. She is hell-bent on the idea of obtaining more power, having more of it and being around powerful and interesting people. In their presence, she finds herself in better control and also fills herself with a remote sense of power. She find the idea of defeating powerful individuals very amusing and strives her best for it.
- Beaches
Maybe it is just the affinity or love for the element that she wields, Aedre loves listening to the dulcet lullaby of the beach, making her reminisce her childhood with her foster parent. It draws the white-haired woman closer and always gives off a friendly vibe, with their everlasting arms wide-open. Due to these reasons, she can be seen sitting somewhere on an isolated beach with her feet in the tepid water and wordlessly pouring out her thoughts into the air around.
- Observing
Aedre is the kind of person you'd see in the corner of a room, a nonchalant expression adorning her visage, with only her eyes flitting about. She finds solitude in simply observing and understanding people as well as certain objects of fascination (Which could be anything.) Since she does not focus on verbally communicating every time, its hard for her to know people or socialize. She makes up for this by observing them from the corner of her eye. Is she a stalker? Perhaps, yes, if you're interesting enough.
Dislikes
- Insects
Aedre dislikes bugs and insects from the bottom of her heart. She sees them as creatures representing the dirt, dust, scum and weak of the world. She could sometimes be seen destroying insects with her magic, not giving a care in the world for anyone or anything around.
- Roses
Its more than the allergy that she has. She just happens to hate the red, yellow, pink, white, whatever color flowers. They are, in her opinion; ordinary. They seem to represent a complete lack of originality or creativity and she loathes the idea of some lovers using the flower to please their partner.
- Magic Council & Its Minions AKA The Heroes
The hate might have been triggered due to her entire childhood being spent in a family of Magic Council members and her dislike for them. But its only magnified when she notices their heroism pouring out on command, senseless talk that holds no practical thoughts and all the loathsome nonsense that goes by the name of saving innocents. Aedre believes that justice in this world is just a bunch of principles, made by those with power to suit themselves. To work under such people will be the greatest mistake ever.
- Refusing Transformation
Aedre's conviction is that transformation is an undeniable part of life; a constant. There's nothing called as "stable". Energy, matter, its always changing, morphing, merging, growing and dying. In her opinion, its the way that people choose not to change that's unnatural. The way they cling onto what things were instead of letting them be what they are. The way they cling onto old memories instead of forming new ones. The way they insist on believing, despite every damn indication, that nothing in this world is permanent. Change is constant, that's what they need to realize.
- Clichés
A poised lady of regal upbringing, a gentleman, love at first sight, the perfect sky, a loving and doting mother, a perfect Knight having a demon within him, the girl who can cry for a broken doll with no sentimental value to her, the woman who has mood swings in the middle of the battle, a happy-go-lucky piece of shit, and a thousand others. All these, irritate the heck out of Aedre. Acquainting with such people immediately brings on a grimace to her features, as her belief that these people are fake, or tend to put on a facade, breaks into her system. Her conviction lies in the authenticity of three-dimensional personalities; the bitchy woman, the competitive man, love with a hint of sarcasm and tease, a sky with occasional splotches of grey clouds that spell doom, a mother who'd punish when the child goes wrong, a perfect Knight who's perfect because of his discipline, the girl who's defiant enough to battle her emotions, the woman who, if poised outside of the arena, can be the same inside and not turn into a blood-hungry monster and the generally happy chick who can promise to stay happy when someone close to her falls into the abyss of death.
Motivations
- Moving On
Humans fail. Then mop around with sadness and sorrow... But nothing comes of it. Even dead people are capable of doing that. However, Aedre likes to stand on her own two legs, believing that if she's to die on day its better to do that without any regrets.
- Adventure
Aedre sees the world as an endless abyss; there's so much to explore, uncover and pioneer that the thought of not experiencing it is too strange. She believes that she hasn't seen even a bit of it yet and actually wants to accomplish that feat.
- Obtaining More Power
As said before, Aedre loves power and the whole concept behind it. She has an idea that she is quite powerful and can defeat a big bunch of mages on her own. But she also accepts that there are a handful which can defeat her. She wants to get over that, she strives to be the undefeated one.
Fears
- Death
It's because all the evidence points to there being nothing after death, just an endless state of nothingness, not even unconsciousness, just nihil. Not even blackness, not even thought, an absence of anything, no heaven, no hell, just an eternity of nothingness, no color, not even darkness, just. Nil. And most rational human beings know that no matter how loudly they pray or claim they believe in the magnificent Sky Fairy it doesn't change the evidence one bit. Or alter the reality, that there is nothing beyond. And people find that hard to deal with. Aedre included.
- Captivity
Aedre is a free soul. Just like a bird flying in the high sky, she is not bounded or stopped by anything. She believes that she is capable of doing whatever she wants, whenever she wants and in anyway she wants. Even her Guild can't stop or argue about her decisions, she is just that stubborn. So when she thinks about being a captive for someone, it sends a shiver down her spine.
- Being Poor
Trusting few, Aedre has always trusted money. Its the new language that the world readily listens to, it never fails you, it never lets you down. Money might be the only thing that draws Aedre to a job. Well, that and the thrill of the kill. However, she fears the idea of being broke. One can see her on the edge when she's low on money.

Even though she can be seen wearing every kind of clothing out there, Aedre's typical outfit in a mission is usually the same. Its a revealing cross between a dress and a top that leaves her mid-riff completely open, and has its ends tugging down to the lowest parts of her thighs. At the point just below her breasts, the cloth is held in place by a black ribbon- a ribbon made of the same clothing as the hairpiece that sits above her crown. Her back is covered by a white cloak, that rests majorly on her left shoulder and is held securely in place by a belt with a massive, but intricately ornate metal buckle. While her left arm is a metal prosthetic, Aedre dons a white stocking going up to her bicep on her right hand. Beneath, the woman wears white stilettos and long, white socks that reach just below her knees. For other occasions, her wardrobe is limited to clothing that consists of nothing but white and hints of red. The clothing is usually expensive and of fine quality, focusing on letting the woman be comfortable in her skin.
