Primary Magic: Magma Magic
Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Caster.
Description: Magma magic is by itself an offensive based magic. Due to the very nature of magma being super-heated, and bent towards destruction in a natural environment, the magic based off of it has that same bent. Such a magic is thus not very friendly to those around it and takes a careful hand to master and use without randomly destroying everything, unless such as your purpose of course. Magma magic isn’t an elemental magic, despite the real thing being made up of earth, instead it simply takes the concepts of such a substance and mimic’s them to the point of almost a complete copy. This makes the magic surprisingly versatile in what it can battle, which is perfect for its highly destructive basis. Most of the buff’s within this magic only affect the user, this includes any possible healing side effects, or increases to status/status cures. This makes it not only destructive but selfish in how it handles others, making the magic fairly poor at supporting, making it even worse if team balance isn’t just right. Effectively magma magic is a highly destructive and versatile style that blends self-buffing with maximum damage based off of one of the most destructive forces known to the planet, magma/lava/obsidian/ash all of these are the playthings of a magma mage in concept, allowing them to effectively become a human volcano on the battlefield and little else, after all this magic wasn’t designed to help those in need, only to stop those causing the harm.
Mei uses this magic mostly as it was intended. Her main focus is dealing as much damage as possible and to overcome the natural limitations of the magic through her study of it. Effectively she wishes to always be the one controlling the flow of damage from a damage perspective. Typically she finds new ways to manipulate the concepts of magma to create unique effects that assist in either chasing down the opponent avoid their attack and striking back, or simply dealing more damage. Very rarely does she focus on defense aside from her natural abilities, instead she focuses on taking out the threat as fast as possible especially when they are trying to flee. Such a magic is thus very terrible for helping those who are in need aside from destroying whatever was threatening them, thus why Mei doesn’t try to change it from something else, merely improve upon the foundation laid by her master and previous users.
Strengths:
- Viscus: Magma is a liquid like substance and has the perks of being both flexible and deadly in one package, allowing for various moments that wouldn’t be possible with a solid substance.
- Melting: Magma magic is incredibly hot due to the compound of minerals within the substance. Such heat results in the melting effect that it is famous for, sadly making Magma magic terrible to use near anything you value. All Magma magic inflict “melting” damage which is half of the magma’s rank in damage as long as the magma is touching something. This has no targeted feature, meaning it affects everyone and everything that isn’t the user or belong to them (excluding pets).
- Naturally Produced: Mei naturally creates magma from her body. The magma has no effect on anyone by itself and fades away within 3 posts after created, unless used by something (such an ability affecting it, or a spell). Mei can suppress this effect if she wishes, for no cost.
Weaknesses:
- Naturally Slow: The principals of Magma make it very slow unless specifically stated otherwise, making some of the attacks very easy to dodge if you can sense it beforehand.
- Offensive based: unlike most magic’s that can focus on multiple things, the majority of the magic used in Magma is for offensive purposes, or if it supports, it is designed to further augment offenses in some strange way. Very little if at all will involve status effects, and buffing others.
- Creates light: The heat of the magma creates light, making this a poor stealth magic, or possibly surprise magic, though this doesn’t mean the magma itself counts as light based, it just produces it.
- Obvious: Aside from creating light, it’s Magma, a pretty obvious substance that is a threat especially due to the all the danger signs it gives off, including the heat and potential little sparks that fly forth from it.
Lineage:
- Spoiler:
- Hunter's Wrath:
Description: Orion was a legendary hunter. Being a demigod, there was no beast to strong or powerful for him to subdue. His name was renown throughout the kingdoms. But what makes him really legendary is his ability, Beast Bane. An ability that allows him to defeat beastkin with ease.
Ability: Beast Bane is an ability that instills fear into the heart of beast or beast like creature making them unable to launch successful attacks. (includes animals, werekin and dragonkin). In addition, it causes pets to be unable to fight for the duration. Increase the HP of user’s pet by 50%, and increase it's melee damage by 50%.
Usage:
[/list]- Hunter's Wrath:
Unique Abilities:
- Molten Core: Mei is very hot, and not from the stand point of her looks; her body is naturally heated, due to her bonding with her magic. Due to Mei’s natural body temperature being higher she has an increased resistance to the cold, making her perfectly immune to cold temperatures in a normal environment (not magically infused, such as spells etc.) and can make parts of her body glow like lava, but without the need to have any manifested (to make for an awesome reading light). In addition all Magma/Lava/obsidian/ash controlled/created by Mei Naturally (See Strengths) counts as the same rank as her, and has the same speed that she does (both natural and in % boosts) (these don’t apply to spells however).
- Magma Form: Mei’s study of magma magic hasn’t just made her an expert in the subject, but allowed her to mold her body into the very stuff she studies. Mei can turn part of, or all of her body into magma, (including any item’s/armor/weapons she is using/holding) doing this doesn’t impede her normal bodily functions (nor the item’s/weapons/armors functions). While part of her body or all of it is turned into Mei doesn’t need to breathe, eat, and can function in extremely hot temperature environments naturally (That aren’t magically infused aside from her own). In addition to the previous Mei receives a damage reduction against both physical and magical attacks and immunity to weak weapons and weak weapon equivalent effects, (example being an attack states it’s as strong as a weak weapon etc. that would make it null against her in this form). The damage reduction is 5% less damage from both physical and magic attacks with +5% for each rank she is above D (so 10% at C rank, 15% at B rank, 20% at A rank, 25% at S rank, etc.), her total damage reduction can’t exceed 75% regardless of modifies that may take her well beyond it.
- Controlled Flow: Mei has learned how to control Magma through her studies of the magic. Mei can control the Magma/lava/obsidian/ash around her with perfection naturally, with no conscious thought or any movement required at all. In addition Mei can sense naturally through said magma/lava/obsidian/ash that she is controlling should she wish.
- Molten Fusion: Mei’s body aside from being able to transform into magma (stated in an ability above) experienced other side effects of her study of magma magic. Mei’s blood is that of Magma/Lava and not what people normally have. Due to the unusual state of her body the presence of such a substance speeds her health recovery, providing her a passive 2% health regeneration per post, and the ability to restore her lost limbs/organs from magma, (though this second effect of restoring limbs/organs doesn’t restore her health, just said parts back to a normal functioning order), this ability also prevents her magical essence/power from being harmed/drained from any effects equal to or lower than her rank.

- Signature Spells:
- Name: Compression.
Rank: C/B/A/S.
Type: Supportive.
Duration: 4 posts.
Cooldown: 5 posts.
Description: Using the principals of compression in the forming of magma, Mei has created an interesting spell that she has kept secret from her master. Effectively she applies the compression aura around her body to draw in selected objects. For in game purposes the aura is 25 meters plus 10 meters for every rank the spell is above C (so 35 meters at B rank, 45 at A rank, and 55 at S rank.) The speed at which the opponent is drawn in towards Mei’s body is her own speed +20%, with it +10% per rank that this spell is above C (so 30% at B rank, 40% at A rank, and 50% at S rank) -10% to this for every rank they are above this spell. Mei can choose to affect up to 10 objects/people with this spell at C rank, with it being +10 for every rank above C that this spell is (so 20 at B rank, 30 at A rank, and 40 at S rank). If Mei tries to drag a spell towards her then the spell can only be affected if it is the same rank as this spell.
Strengths: - Allows for an easier time chasing down targets.
- Allows for the drawing in of opponents for a possible sneak attack etc.
- Has a decently sized aura for pulling in opponents, allowing for tactical options.
Weaknesses:- Actually lures objects/opponents into Mei which can be a double edged sword.
- Doesn’t actually increase Mei’s speed on her own, making the base spells bonuses all that matters normally.
- Doesn’t provide any defenses, so she could potentially be drawing in damage
- Is less effective on opponents higher rank, and isn’t effective at all against spells of higher rank.
- Name: Redeployment.
Rank: D.
Type: Offensive.
Duration: N/A
Cooldown: N/A
Description: In order to quickly catch up to those who were escaping from her master, Mei developed a technique that with a little finesse to allow her to try and catch up with them. Mei can teleport to an area of Magma/lava within 15 meters once per post, with a cool down of one post.
Strengths:- Allows for high speed movement to a new location, thus why it is called redeployment.
- The spell is passive thus can be activated whenever she needs to activate it.
- Has a fairly decent range of movement, which allows for a quick escape, or burst for offensive attack.
Weaknesses:- Doesn’t have any direct offensive capabilities by itself only the movement to get there.
- Doesn’t increase defenses.
- Is fairy simplistic and doesn’t allow for many tactics around the technique aside from move to X point.
- Doesn’t increase speed, only allows for a quick teleport.
Weaknesses:- Has no direct offensive abilities.
- Doesn’t make her stronger, just tougher.
- Is a fairy simplistic spell so it doesn’t allow for many tactics based around this technique.
- Doesn’t increase her movement speed, making her probably need the damage resistance.
D-Ranked Spells:- Name: Lava plume.
Rank: D.
Type: Offensive/Support.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Description: A precision attack designed to take out multiple enemies unexpectedly. Lava plume creates up to 4 ruptures within the ground within 15 meters of Mei’s location. These plumes will explode forth at 7 meters a second, in a diameter of up to 7 meters, and will explode up to 7 meters into the air, causing burning damage and physical damage against the targets, in addition to covering them with lava. While the initial attack lasts for but a few seconds, the lava that scatters about after the impact is what lasts for the duration of the spell, allowing for further options to be employed. The lava left behind oddly enough doesn’t cause damage, from this spell alone.
Strengths: - Leaves lava behind that can be used for other techniques possible origins/attacks.
- Is a fast offensive technique that can catch people off guard due to how it originates.
- Can spread lava onto a target which can be used for further attacks.
Weaknesses:- The lasting effects don’t do damage to anyone crossing over them.
- Requires line of sight to the target for the attack to be accurate.
- Doesn’t provide any kind of defense as the attack doesn’t originate from Mei.
- An ally could run into a plume when the attack wasn’t meant for them.
- Name: Pulse.
Rank: D.
Type: Offensive.
Duration: 2 posts.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Description: Unleashing magma from her body Mei creates a pulse out in all directions. The magma pulse extends up to 15 meters and moves at 7 meters a second, and is a fairly simple attack. The magma left over does damage equal to .5 of its rank in damage (So normally .5 D rank), but otherwise serves no further function within this spell, but can be used for other spells should they allow it.
Strengths:- Originates from Mei making for a quick counter attack or offensive action.
- Pulses at least twice (once per post) so can catch some people off guard if they think it just does it once.
- The pulse hits out in all directions, making the attack capable of hitting multiple enemies all around Mei rather than just 1 or 2.
Weaknesses:- like most spells can hurt allies if they aren’t careful.
- Doesn’t actually block attacks well as it’s just meant for offense, (only 1 hit of equal rank upon the part of the pulse hit).
- Could be easily counter attacked due to how large the pulse is.
- Magma/lava left over can hurt allies too, which makes this a potential double threat if the stuff gets on them.
- Name: Construction.
Rank: D.
Type: Support.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Description: By molding the magma within her body, Mei can create various weapons and tools. These weapons/tools can resemble anything a normal person could realistically hold, such as knifes, and axes, swords, great weapons, key’s, hammers etc. The weapons/tools can block up to 2 hits from spells/weapons of their rank (so normally 2 D rank hits) in. The weapons/tools can be created anywhere within the magma that Mei controls up to 15 meters away from her, and thus can work as ambushers or projectile weapons is need be. The number of weapons created is 2-4, and when the duration ends they simply melt away. The weapons/tools themselves are made out obsidian form from the magma, making them solid in their construction for the duration of the spell.
Strengths:- Can make multiple different weapons/tools allowing for creativity.
- Can be used for offense.
- Can be used for defense.
Weaknesses:- The weapons/tools are fairly weak on their own.
- While they can provide defenses many things would be terrible for it (such as a sword for blocking a fireball).
- Some tools are terrible for offensive abilities, such as a key.
- Each weapon/tool doesn’t have a unique ability making them fairly ordinary and straight forward.
- Name: Ethereal Compression.
Rank: D.
Type: support.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Description: By applying her magic to herself Mei causes magma/lava that she produces to become a strange ethereal like substance. Magma/Lava originating in their creation up to 15 meters from her, and her body can pass through all non-magical objects (such as walls, floors, etc. But not Profile NPC’s, pet’s player characters, magically infused walls/items etc.) allowing for her to take several attacks of opportunity should she know that the enemy is there in the first place etc. The downside of this spell is the duration, since when it’s up even if an attack was flying towards the enemy it won’t be able to pierce through the object, leaving it as an all-around timed technique. This can be applied onto up to 4 sources at once.
Strengths:- Allows for magma/lava produced by Mei to pass through solid non magical objects.
- Can be applied to multiple sources (aka spells, Mei’s herself etc.) at once.
- This technique’s influence remains when the source leaves the initial area of effect, but still count’s as a source being used.
Weaknesses:- Doesn’t directly buff offensive moves.
- Doesn’t allow for Mei to see through objects she is trying to attack though on its own.
- Doesn’t pass through anything magically infused, even of the same rank.
- Has a short range of first affecting a source, making it a hassle to influence sources far away.
C-Ranked Spells:- Name: Reconstruction.
Rank: C.
Type: Support.
Duration: 1 post.
Cooldown: 3 posts.
Description: Created to re-forge that which was damaged through the heat of Mei’s own magma. Using Mei’s ability to turn parts of her body into Magma, Mei will transfer her stomach into said magma, and can take up to 10 strong (+)/weak items/weapons/armors into her body to repair them. This process takes the duration (so 1 post), and once done the item’s/weapons/armors will be fully repaired back to the state they were in when they were created. A simple technique, sadly however Mei can’t repair anything organic, only inorganic.
Strengths: - Can repair multiple objects at once, allowing for mass recovery of said objects.
- Repairs up to strong and strong + items/weapons/armors allowing for some options in what is repaired.
- If she breaks your priceless antique Mei can at least try and fix it, thus saving her money in buying another one.
Weaknesses:- Can’t heal anything organic.
- Has a short duration, and can’t repair while on cool down making the immediate destruction of something repaired an issue.
- Can’t heal legendary or artifact items as the magic put into the spell isn’t strong enough.
- Doesn’t have an offensive capabilities.
- Name: Lava rain.
Rank: C.
Type: Offensive.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Description: By creating a bow out of magma Mei can produce lava arrows to shower over the battlefield. The arrows are 1 meter across when launched from the lava bow, which itself is up to 1.5 meters in length. Each arrowed fired out of the bow can fly up to 25 meters before exploding out into a 15 meter AoE. The number of arrows that can be fired from one application of this spell is 20, up to 5 arrows can be fired at once. The impact zone continues to pulse with lava/magma for the duration of this spell, and can be used for other techniques should the need arise, however the arrows always explode into lava/magma upon impact, and while Mei is immune to damage from them allies or other objects in the area might not be.
Strengths:- Is a fairly decently ranged spell.
- Leaves lava behind that can be used for other spells.
- Fires multiple projectiles, but not all at once making this spell not just a one shot technique.
Weaknesses:- Can potentially hurt allies due to the arrows always exploding.
- The arrows themselves could be stopped midflight making the attack potentially deal no damage.
- The arrows provide little melee usage as they will explode upon impact.
- The bow while C rank isn’t designed to actually be a melee weapon making opposing melee attacks pass through it with potentially minimal damage, and no blocking for Mei.
- Name: Magma Storm.
Rank: C.
Type: Offensive.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Description: By using her control over magma Mei can cause all Magma/lava within an area to erupt for possibly a second time. All magma/lava within 25 meters of Mei will explode outwards in a 15 meter diameter sending magma/lava flying everywhere. After this is done all magma/lava within the area shall disappear expect that which is directly connected to Mei, or apart of Mei’s body in which case this magma/lava shall continue to explode for the remainder of the duration. While Mei is immune to the explosions, allies aren’t making it a poor teammate spell, and a selfish spell as it uses up quite a bit of magma/lava.
Strengths:- Is a unique Area of effect attack which has multiple angles of hitting the opponents caught within it’s blasts.
- Due to how it works, the spell can be quite hard to dodge.
- Mei herself can literally keep exploding for the whole duration, making it a weirdly effective close range spell.
Weaknesses:- Is straightforward allowing for opponents to predict the technique once they have seen it go off.
- Is very likely to harm allies if they aren’t careful.
- Gets rid of most magma/lava within an area making it a selfish spell, which can deny other options later on.
- The explosions don’t really provide a defense other than shock value and the opponent probably not wanting to get hit by them.
- Name: Compression.
