Episode 10: Journey to One Piece |
It was yet another boring day for the young Dragon Slayer. After his previous encounter with a group of bandits, it was safe to say that he’d gotten a big ego out of it. All over town whenever he’d heard someone speak, he’d imagine them talking about his recent achievement. It was as if he was in his own little world and he was enjoying it. “Hey watch where you’re walking,” a stranger said to Slade as he walked by. “Oh yes, that’s me,” the Mage responded and posed, “I am indeed the one who freed that village!” The man then muttered something to himself and walked off. He apparently thought that the Dragon Slayer was crazy and didn’t think that it was right for him to pick on the crazy. After a while of strolling through town, there was a crowd surrounding something. It immediately caught Slade’s attention. He wanted to know what it was about. Once he managed to squeeze through the horde, he noticed a poster. It was for a job, one that needed a strong Mage. The only problem the Dragon Slayer foresaw was that he needed to cross the sea. He had a weakness for water and that’s when he realized he had to gather up a group. With others there, maybe they’d stand a chance. Quickly after coming to that realization, Slade raced back to the Guild. There he knew he’d find someone who’d help him. Personally he wanted the Iron Dragon Slayer to join him, he thought Eliot and himself made a great team on their last job. Right as he was running something else occurred to him. On… On second thought I should probably get someone else… Both Eliot and Slade were Dragon Slayers and that meant that they had motion sickness. What good would it be if both of them were clung to the boat in the middle of a fight? They’d be easy targets and surely would fail. |
