The island nations stretched out in every direction as Heero and Rita stood before a huge assembly of extremely buff looking blacksmiths, all of them rugged and apparent masters of their craft on the inside of this bladed castle of Iron and Steel.
However, one stood above them all; seated on high in this all of iron, the President of Ca-Elum, the "Master Smith" sat on his throne, and looked down towards Heero and Rita who stood in the Iron Palace.
"Are we sure that these two will find the Worldbreaker and not just give up and head back to Fiore halfway through?"
"I've heard rumors from the mainland about the blue haired one...."
"Yes, we all have; but he's also known as a hero beyond just the borders of his own country.....if he's assisted other nations then I don't think he'd..."
"What kind of a man travels with his girlfriend to battle anyway?!"
The Hall of Iron had two huge booths of blacksmiths on either side of the isle. Heero and Rita stood on a gigantic red carpet heading back out into the Islands proper.
The Master Smith himself seemed to remain silent; he looked, almost sad. Like a middle aged man who'd just seen his favorite lawn-mower break down. Heero tried his best to look serious, comically he was failing; but he also noticed the Master Smith's demeanor.
"?" he wondered if Rita saw it as well. The other Blacksmiths of the Islands of Ca-Elum seemed to be in an uproar, almost besides themselves arguing amonst one another. The reason they were here was to find the hammer of the Master Smith himself; Worldbreaker.
A hammer so powerful, it was given by the ageless and Immortal elf Queen of Seven; to the first elected President of Ca-Elum. The Hammer is said to be able to break through any rock, metal, armor, or magical enchantment with but a single strike. The treasure of an entire nation; on their shoulders.
"Aye! Where are all the women?! I'm getting tired of staring at your man boobs!" a single orange paw went up into the air, as the camera zoomed out showing Garfield standing between Rita and Heero on the red carpet swishing his tail and looking up at the large assembly of Ca-Elum officials.
Heero screamed soundlessly; and shattered into glass as the Ca-Elum blacksmiths began to curse and yell; exclaiming that they should've went to another magical nation; like Belum or Seven for assistance rather than Fiore.
"That's enough." the Master Smith finally spoke; as the Hall of Iron fell silent. "Young woman, and young man---thank you for traveling all this way." he looked up, he had a round face; slightly balding. He was wearing somewhat loose fitting tunics, and darker pants, with a thin red bandana tied around his bald head to the side; a somewhat large beard; sharp blue eyes; and piece of hay hanging from his mouth that he chewed on habitually.
"The Worldbreaker has gone missing........I won't lie to you. Every nation has it's sacred weapon, it's means of defense against other countries weapons of equal calibur....your Fiore; has Etherion. Bosco; has it's Energy Field surrounding it's nation, Seven has the power of it's Queen and it's Forest, Iceberg; the Crown that can freeze an entire country....you see....without Worldbreaker; we are extremely vulnerable to other countries by means of attack...or force."
Heero, Garfield, and Rita stood down on the red carpet; continuing to listen.
"Now...I know there are hundreds of Islands here in Ca-Elum, and not a one of them without volcanoes or other hazards....but we do know that no one has left Ca-Elum with Worldbreaker the Master's Forge is still burning if the hammer had left the Islands, the Forge would have gone dark....the bandit is here on one of the many islands...." at this, the President pointed behind himself; and behind the throne he was upon; was a HUGE forge; some fifty feet high; burning with intense flames. It looked like it was made to be used by giants.
"I'm sorry but, why should Fiore give a rats ass if you can't find your hammer? As a matter of fact, I'm sure if Count Sparrow and the Magic Council found out you didn't have it anymore..." Heero grumbled to himself, frustrated by the Ca-Elum blacksmiths' previous insults towards his country.
"No...please, I know about you. Heero Reyold." Heero and Garfield both looked shocked at the Master Smith saying Heero's first, and last name. "And you, Rita Stebern." he smiled at the girl from his throne for a moment before continuing. "We did our best to choose the wizards with the biggest hearts, from what we've heard anyway...forgive my fellow Smiths' insults. You two won't quit will you? Or was I wrong about Fairy Tail wizards...? Your Guilds reputation even travels across the oceans see." the Master Smith, the leader of an entire nation; cracked a fake smile; but one could tell he was in a deeper kind of pain within.
Heero then looked to Rita and shrugged at her.
'I can't stand to see this old man so pitiful........look at everyone watching him.' Heero looked around at all the Master Smith's subordinates staring at both the Foreigners, and the Master Smith himself; he felt somewhat sorry for the old coot; and a piece of Heero had already decided he would help him find this; Worldbreaker. After all, what kinda Blacksmith didn't have a hammer?
