Jin meets Kiba

”Ginny, why are we here?” asked Kaya as she continued to make her way among the swarm of feet. She was only a feet tall and almost equally wide in her normal chibi form, she could also walk on two feet in this form. Her current state made it quite difficult to walk among a lot of people since most don’t have the habit of looking down while they walk. This was the busy port city, owned by the Black Rose guild. The perks of being a port city it was bustling with ships and merchants that came for trade, along with the departing locals off for the same purpose. Kaya probably didn’t want to say it but she really was struggling moving through the forest of legs. She was suddenly picked up from her back and put on someone’s shoulder. She didn’t resist though, she knew who it was, the one she was talking to and her friend: Jin Okura.

”I bite you!!” shouted Kaya as she bit into his shoulder, it didn’t hurt much. Jin smiled and patted her head, she really couldn’t do much harm in her chibi form. ”We need some good fresh ingredients, you’re Ginny is a chef and good ingredients really matter when making good cuisine”, he explained to her. The towering young man moved through the crowd. He had heard some ships had docked on the harbor with some vegetables and meat on them. His idea was to look through the vegetables and purchase some good stuff, especially buy some good meat for Kaya. ”Oh okay, so we buy some inregedients” she said with a part of Jin’s shoulder in her mouth. She probably couldn’t say the word ‘ingredients’ with an empty mouth, Jin had to teach her to speak properly.

The day was bright and the sky was clear, it was only mid day by now. He wasn’t planning on making something today, he was preparing for the next day. ”Hey, did you hear?” a passing by person spoke to another in a secretive tone, ”Hear what?” inquired the other guy. Jin wasn’t paying much attention to this conversation but these two were walking alongside him and it was a tad bit hard to miss. ”A wizard saint is in the port city, that guy with the large wolf cub as a pet. You know, the one who befriends angels and fights werewolves. They say he took down an entire colony of werewolves with his bare hands”. The other man’s jaw dropped when hearing this, Jin couldn’t make of it whether it was because of this man’s presence or the story he was just told. ”That saint? Here? Why?” the two continued to walk on as the other replied to him, now it was inaudible to Jin.

”A wizard saint?” he suddenly stopped and started thinking, Kaya’s eyes turned to him but she didn’t speak. ”Someone as capable as that, I HAVE to meet him”, a patron of magic would never miss a chance to meet a wizard saint. He looked around to find a large wolf cub among people. Obviously, something like that couldn’t go unnoticed. Then he realized that he might possibly be looking around the meat market for his pet’s food as well. Having concluded that, Jin now began running towards the market. Hoping that he would find and catch up to the wizard saint.

Kiki has sitting on top of Kaylee heading to the open market for some food. The two of them had been stuck on a boat for hours and where hungry. Kiki was in the mood for some good food which meant she needed good ingredients. "So Kaylee what should we have?" Kiki asked as she swayed with Kaylee's steps. The large wolf let out a slight whine, Causing Kiki to smile, "Yeah i know you want meat, your a wolf." Kiki held up her arms, to the sky and looked up. "Its gonna rain..." Kaylee upped her pace suddenly causing Kiki to let out a little cry. "HEY!" she grabbed onto Kaylee's fur so she didn't fall off.

"Uh... Ma'am... your causing a disturbance with your... uh... pet." A nearby police officer said as he approached. "Please dismount."

"Ah come one..." Kiki whined as she slide off the side of Kaylee. "How am i causing a disturbance?" Kiki was not exactly well dressed, wearing baggy pants and a partially buttoned up shirt that didn't cover up her breast completely. "You know its gonna rain here soon right." The man ignored her, as he started writing stuff down.

After running for a little while, he arrived at the intended meat market. There he noticed the large wolf being rode by a female. Weren’t the two males from before mentioned that it was a male wizard saint? He did recall those men referring to the wizard saint as a he but there was female with the large wolf. ”Is that someone different? Perhaps, someone who travels along with the saint?”. Jin thought to himself as he looked at the wolf moving along in the crowd. The saint’s back was towards him so she probably hadn’t noticed him yet. Then the wolf started running, probably not a good idea with a market full of people.

Before Jin could rush in and ask her politely not to do that, the local authority stepped in. Kaya was busy only staring at the giant wolf because she had never seen something like that before. It appeared that the officer was writing something down, Jin thought it best to better step in. He walked to the two and one wolf, ”Hello there officer, what’s the matter?”. The officer looked at Jin and then noticed the chibi tiger biting on his shoulder and the guild tattoo on the left side of his neck. ”Oh so you’re a Black Rose mage? Her pet is too large and she shouldn’t walk around with it in a meat market. It’s a wolf for crying out loud, people are scared of such things”. The officer was right, it was indeed scary.

Jin turned to look at the lady who was a bit casually dressed not to mention a tad bit revealing. Noticing her slightly exposed breasts he blushed a little and turned suddenly to the officer. ”I apologize for the inconvenience, please excuse her. I will look into this if you don’t mind”, he said to the officer. The officer stared at him and then to the female, he closed his pad and walked away nodding. The island was owned by the guild and a guild member was respected around here. He turned to face the female with a slight smile, ”Hey there, I’m sorry but we’re going to have to leave the market because the wolf is indeed scaring people. May be we can come later and buy whatever you intended to buy? I am Jin, a mage of Black Rose. I overheard that the Wizard saint, Kiba was around here somewhere”. He spoke innocently to the female persona of the wizard saint.

Jin had only heard stories and didn’t know about the dual gendered nature of the wizard saint. He was about to find out though.

Kiki frowned as the man kept writing, *of course you get us in trouble.* Kiba remarked from the back of Kiki's mind. *Try not to get arrested please.* Kiki made a face at the window nearby so that Kiba could see her make a face at him. *Childish...* Kiba responded.

Kiki was about to protest again when a stranger walked up and asked the officer what the issue was. ”Oh so you’re a Black Rose mage? Her pet is too large and she shouldn’t walk around with it in a meat market. It’s a wolf for crying out loud, people are scared of such things” the officer responded.

"Oh come on she would never hurt anyone." Kiki said cheerfully, Kaylee gave a happy bark with Kiki's words. "See she would never do anything wrong." Kiki sat waiting for the officer to do something, she was getting board and Kaylee was getting hungrier. The man who arrived later talked with the officer a bit more causing him to nod and walk off. Kiki blinked at the man, "So what you got them on a payrole or something?" Kiki asked with out reservation or a care about his feelings.

*Kiki... your being rude.* Kiba said to her, words Kiki disregarded.

Kiki was about to speak again when the man answered her question, he was apart of the guild that ran the city. "Well the longer i wait to feed Kaylee the grumpier she gets and the grumpier she is the more likely she is to become mean." Kaylee growled at the man as she spoke. Kiki simply brought her fist down on the wolfs skull, "SHUT IT YOU!" Kiki shout at the shewolf. The shewolf clearly had her own thoughts as she shook her head free of Kiki's fist and then chomped down on it. "OW! I'm gonna make a rug out of you!" Kiki gave the creature another slug. As Kiki had her... argument with the wolf Kiki heard the man ask about Kiba, which drew her ire. "What... I'm not go enough for you?" Kiki glared at him as she spoke.

”Pay role? Aren’t you one mean individual, no thanks either ?” he didn’t verbally say those words but continued to smile. He was bothered by how casually she ignored the fact that Jin had just saved her from the local law. May be she was better off getting herself arrested and then Jin could find the wizard saint on his own. He was still unaware of the fact that Kiki and Kiba were one and the same.

Her explanation about her pet being harmless was ruined as soon as she quarreled with it. He assumed that if the pet got any hungrier it would probably go on an eating frenzy. ”I’ll get us some meat, so we can facilitate your pet’s relocation. Is that okay with you?”. Assuming that it was okay with her, he took off Kaya from his shoulder and left her to stand on the ground. She stood straight and kept her eyes on the large wolf who she had been staring at the entire time. She licked her paw and with a cute little stare at the female spoke: ”I’m Kaya”. Meanwhile, Jin walked to the nearby meat vendor and purchased a large chunk of meat for the wolf. He brought it along with him and placed it in front of the wolf. ”I hope this is okay for the time being. As your host, come along with me and I’ll cook you something better” he said to the two politely.

Then he picked up Kaya and placed her back on his shoulder, she was done biting on it so she just rested there keeping her eyes on the two. ”Eh?!” he said out of confusion since he wasn’t sure what to make of that. Jin just wanted to meet the wizard saint but apparently, she wasn’t happy with hearing the name. ”No no, I didn’t mean anything like that. I only meant that if he’s here, he can come along with us so we can all leave the place. The local law enforcement doesn’t look kindly upon those who disturb the people around here”. The situation was a bit confusing since Jin had assumed the pet and the female were friends of the wizard saint himself. He thought that the wizard saint was a male and thus was around here somewhere but he was nowhere to be seen.

[color=#6a5acd]”Perhaps he’ll come later” he thought and decided to lead these two to a better location where there were less people. ”Well, if it’s okay with you, please come with us” he said and began to lead the way out of the market; hoping that the female and the wolf would follow closely.

Kiki sighed as the man explained and then ran off to get some meat for Kaylee. Kiki bumped into the large wolf with her body. "your a pain in the ass you know that furball?" Kiki waited for the man to return, in which he set the meat down in front of Kaylee. Kaylee didn't waste a second before she snapped it up and started eating. Kiki sighed and leaned against a wall for a second.

”Well, if it’s okay with you, please come with us” the man said as he lead the way out of the market. Kiki sighed and motioned for Kaylee to follow. Kiki kept quiet for most of the walk, she didn't know who this man was or what he wanted with Kiba. Kaylee was eating and walking and making a lot of noise while doing so, which earned Kaylee a dirty look and a gentle punch.

The wolf finished and nipped Kiki in the butt, "HEY!" Kika rounded on the wolf and started a small scuffle with it. In the end the wolf won pinning Kiki to the ground and then proceeded to like her with a overlarge wolf tongue. "STOP IT YOU GODS DAMN WOLF." It was clear that Kiki and Kaylee were not the best of friend but something else.

Kaya wasn’t happy with the fact that she had been ignored so far by the woman and the wolf. She was quite the attention seeker and her normal cute form and her child like attitude did manage to acquire quite a bit of attention. However, those methods didn’t seem to work on these two. Apparently, the wolf and the woman were far more concerned with one another. Even Jin noticed that they weren’t interested in their surroundings, they were rather more self indulged. Regardless of that, Jin had somehow managed to get them away from the market and reduce the commotion that the local law enforcement said they were causing. He didn’t say much as the two began to argue a bit and then began a scuffle as well. ”I can’t believe these two are with a wizard saint”, it was a bit disappointing for Jin. He had always been a fan of magic and a fan of mages, among mages the wizard saint title was given to the ten exceptional few. Were these two really companions of someone as capable of a wizard saint?

”Stappp it!!!!” apparently Kaya had enough of their behavior and decided to voice her agitation. ”Kaya, that’s bad manners. These are our guests and friends of a wizard saint, be more respectful” said Jin with a displeased look on his face. Sure, it was getting on his nerves too but he would never be disrespectful towards them. He was still expecting the wizard saint to make an appearance too. That was because he did not know that the female persona was actually the wizard saint. ”So uhhh, what brings a wizard saint to the island of Black Rose?” he inquired from the female trying to make some small talk.

Kaya walked to the large wolf, she was only that large when she used her size magic. This wolf was large normally and that was something pretty neat for her. ”Big..” she exclaimed as she looked at the wolf from foot to its head.

The large wolf looked down at the little figure near her, gave her a few sniffs and then a BIG lick. Kiki just sat back and watched, it was amusing to see such a large creature so affection to someone so small. Kiki heard the man ask her a question, she turned to him. "I heard about Black Rose and all its... erm... i guess i just came here on a whime." Kiki turned to the man, "Do you want to meet Kiba or something?" Kiki asked raising a eyebrow as she spoke. "I mean its my day but i guess i could make a exception." Kiki walked over and leaned against a wall. "I'll do that later... Anyways tell me a bit about Black Rose." Kiki smiled as she heard Kaylee start grooming the little one. She found it funny and kinda wished she had a camera.

*Kiki are you sure your willing to give me control for bit?* Kiba asked from the recesses of their mind. *It is your day after all*

*Mhmm... This guy really seems to want to meet the wizard saint.* Kiki responded, her mood was clearly a bit annoyed but she hid it form the man.

*Why not just tell him we are one in the same?* Kiba asked. *It would do us some go.*

*No no. Having me known as just a companion means we can hide if we need.* Kiki answered. *Its good to have a way to escape scrutiny* Kiki stated.
