Braile Vs Kocho (Weapons Only!)

She kept her waiting room dark as the arena outside cheered on through the thick walls. She has not been in a serious fight yet, but she needed to learn how one way or another, especially one without using magic. She remembered how new members of the old syndicate would always go to an arena in order to prove themselves stronger than most. Braile herself never participated in those tournaments and kept to her job.

She felt her Katars in her sleeve firmly tucked away in a sheath so they do not cut her while hiding them. The tournament she signed up for was one for fighting with weapons only. She couldn't rely on her physical strength due to her extremely lithe body, but she had amazing speed and was hoping to use that to her advantage. After working up the courage to move, Braile stood towards the entrance she needed to take to get to the center arena. She kept her hands in her sleeves the whole time as to keep a firm grip on her blades. She took a deep breath and walked through the hallway.

The sounds of raving fans of the tournament grew louder and louder as she walked through her dark tunnel towards the arena. The end of it was glowing brightly with light and she squinted her eyes as she finally entered the arena. The audience was going wild at the sight of the blonde hair, seemingly genderless kitsune stepping up to the plate. Now the only thing she had to do was wait for her opponent to enter the arena and fight her, one on one.

Braile studied her opponent thoroughly as she entered the arena roughly a few moments after her. The first thing she noticed was the girl was wearing a samurai kimono like were a swordsman, but instead wielded a chain whip. A strange weapon indeed, though Braile was no excuse for using strange weapons. And the rest of the girl, a light form meaning she was probably not used to fighting on her own. These two girls were in the same boat there. But Braile had the height advantage which from the current distance looked about a foot difference between them.

After a few moments the girl walked up to Braile and extended her hand. An honorable thing to do, but if it were anyone else from her old syndicate they would have cut her hand clean off. But Braile was much more honorable than the criminals she ran with in the past. She released right blade while it still was hidden in her left sleeve and shook her hand. "You should never be to trusting to an opponent. Otherwise this battle would have already been over."

After there brief handshake, Braile took five steps backwards and returned her grip to the weapon hidden in her sleeve. Her knees bet lightly so she was ready to spring in any direction granted the enemy were to strike first. Her eyes narrowed to study every single movement the woman in the kimono made. Trying to spot any weaknesses in her stance. Even occasionally staring directly into the soul of the opponent through her eyes.

Braile watched as Kocho started to move against her in the booming arena. She watched as the woman followed suit and backed up away from Braile and gripped her weapon ready to make a counter advance. Then quickly Kocho swung the chain towards Braile while stepping forward. That was the perfect moment to strike against her! Braile lunged herself forward underneath the strange weapon that was swung at her. Since the weapon was made in such a fashion it would be difficult to change its direction to hit her. After going under the weapon, Braile slid on the ground towards Kochos feet with a sweeping kick meant to knock her off balance. After the kick Braile followed up with a stray elbow meant to hit the gut of her opponent.

The crowd cheering was a huge distraction against Brail due to her animal ears. Her tails instinctively acted as a rudder while moving towards Kocho to land the first strike. Her animal instincts were kicking in and she removed the blades finally from her sleeve. The foot long blades fit quite well in the saggy robes, but now they encased her arms with a long bladed extension of her hands. After the elbow Braile launched herself back about five feet while brandishing the blades to defend from the next attack. A single bead of sweat ran down the side of her head and ran all the way down to her robes that she so cautiously wore. Her ears were pricked upwards to catch any sound that would indicate more trouble.
