There was a beautiful scent dancing in the air. Scratch that; there were numerous beautiful scents around, each coming from a different plant. The greenhouse was practically one big perfume bottle. Cleona, finding the whole thing just marvelous, flew from plant to plant and sniffed each one personally; if she came across a flower in particular that she liked, she would even nuzzle her nose against the flower’s pistil as if greeting an old friend. The pixie was clearly afflicted with a bad case of nostalgia. The plants, or the greenhouse as a whole, reminded Cleona of her pixie colony, at least the good parts anyway. Before she left her home in Seven, she used to have her own garden – as did most in the colony – and spent hours caring for it. It’s one of the few things she missed.

Cleona glanced at the glass of the greenhouse's wall and saw Bekett’s reflection. The pixie was so caught up in her joy that she forgot she had brought him along. The choice to bring him wasn’t quite meaningful beyond the fact that she needed someone to help her bring all the supplies – seed packets, flower pots, etc. – back to Basilisk Fang’s fortress. In the short time that she had been a part of the dark guild, she knew the one thing their frozen tundra needed was a garden. Not just for pretty flowers and towering ferns but also for vegetables; after all, traveling through the terrible snow just for something to eat was quickly becoming tiresome. One of the whole points of joining the guild was not having to travel anymore, making her food ventures rather irksome. She had already found the perfect room where her indoor garden would. All she needed, apart from the stuff they were getting now, was some sort of heating system and a few plant lights.

The old lady, the owner of the flower shop/greenhouse, at the counter coughed. Cleona hadn’t thought of it until now but the woman was probably going to want them to pay for their supplies when they finished shopping; then again, they could just walk out the front door since no one in their right mind would believe an old woman who said she was robbed by a pixie. The thought was enough to make Cleona chuckle on the inside, though she wondered if Bekett would approve of the theft. He might have been a member of a dark guild but his youthful appearance struck Cleona as innocent.

The mischievous pixie checked the small cloth on her left arm to make sure her Basilisk Fang tattoo was securely hidden before calling over to Bekett, “Hey, we’re buying this too!” She was referring to the large, six-foot-tall fern plant she was standing on. “Think you can carry it?” Regardless of his answer, she still planned to make him carry it, if only for the amusement.
