The only challenge that lay ahead was how she was to get her passport. Cleona did not possess a birth certificate, having left it in Seven. However, she managed to bypass this with a fake birth certificate, one suggesting she was born in Fiore. The second problem was her membership in a dark guild, though she figured she could just lie her way through that say she was a member of Fairy Tail or some other legal guild. To help her out, the pixie hid her guild tattoo beneath an old cloth, as she usually did when she went into town.
The government building within Rose Garden was absolutely packed with people, each one eager to get a passport for whatever reason. Cleona guessed some of them just wanted a place to vacation, though she shuddered to think some of the people she spotted would dare visit her homeland. The prospect was enough to sicken her. Tourist would bring with them a more civilized society, which meant there would be more buildings and fewer trees... a true tragedy. Cleona might have preferred the city to the forest, but that didn’t mean she wanted to see her homeland cut down. The thought of such a possibility baited her to just burn the whole building down, but she resisted.
Cleona, absent of patience, jutted her wings outward and simply flew over the line of people. No one seemed to notice except for a few kids who had joined their parents in the line; no one believed them though. When she reached the front of the line, she floated in front of the person who was supposed to be next – a balding, middle aged man who stepped back in surprise. He definitely didn’t expect a random pixie to just fly in front of him but he didn’t dare object to what he considered an exotic creature.
When the woman working the counter called for the next person, Cleona flew up and landed on the sleek and shiny counter. The woman’s eyes widened until they were like moons before the pixie was forced to snap her back to reality. With that, the woman cautiously administered the regular questions (criminal record, guild affiliation, etc.) to which Cleona usually responded to by lying her little butt off. It was a complete cake walk and, before five minutes had passed, Cleona was the proud owner of a new Fiore passport. Of course, it was probably going to be thrown a drawer as soon as she got back to the guild hall. Oh well.
