Lumina's was not paying attention, she was starting to talk when a giant stone fist swatted her across the room, slamming her with significant force against one of the walls. She fell from the wall and landed on her feet, dusting herself off. "Hey now that was not funny, you should be careful about wh..." The second golem tried to crush her between its fist and the wall, but its fist just stopped like it had hit a unmovable object, that object was Lumina. She had blocked the Large fist with her entire body, her face was not like it had been only second before but was not carved with a look that could melt iron, or stone in this case. Lumina placed her foot against the wall and then braced the fist with her left arm and reeled back with her other fist. "NOW I'M ANGRY!!!" She slammed her fist home, the golems fist cracked visibly. The golem seemed confused at the fact it had failed to crush it target and even more so at the fact its target fist was now nearly ruined. Lumina Reeled her fist back again and slammed her own fist home again, more stone fell from the creatures ruined hand. The Golem started pushing with its fist again, trying to crush Lumina against the wall, She held its hand in place with one arm and put her hand in her pocket and withdrew a seed. She started to slide a bit as she reeled her hand back and slammed it home a third time. This time a flurry of vines spouted from the cracks in the golems hand. She directed them to move up the cracks, widening them as the moved, it took no more then a few seconds before most of the golems arm cracked then shattered. Lumina didn't wait for it to recover, she left the spell end and charged under the golem.

Almyra turned and watched as another statue was animated and attacked Lumina. The girl seemed to have been taken by surprise by it, but she ended up putting up a good fight, blocking its further attacks and managing to destroy one of its arms with magic. Almy wanted to help, but knew there wasn't anything she could do to hurt these things. They were immune to her magic, and the only weaponry she had were her fists and a simple survival knife. She would be lucky if she managed to scratch the stone, never mind cause significant damage to the golem attacking her ally, so she did the only thing she could do, continue opening the door. It was nearly open now, though this turned out to be bad... very bad.
Almyra's eyes widened as on the other side of the door, another statue awoke and strode over to the door. It reached its hands into the gaps between the two segments and pried the door open the rest of the way. Almyra yelped and backed away as the golem approached. With no way to hurt it, she chose to focus on avoiding its crushing blows. As the golem's massive fist came crashing down, she was able to scamper out of the way. A quick roll allowed her to avoid another attack. With a third, she dove between its legs and quickly crawled under it, narrowly avoiding being kicked and stepped on as it turned around, still after her. She hoped Lumina could dispatch her opponent quickly, as she wasn't sure how long she could survive ducking and dodging away from this thing. No... she would survive. She was so close to the inner sanctum, only one more door remained to be opened. She could see it, just down the hallway. The other branches lead only to living quarters, if what she knew of the standard layout for her cult's temples was correct. She wouldn't be stopped here.

Lumina stopped for a second and picked a leaf, the golem turned to face her. Lumina smiled at the one armed Golem, "well then ugly lets do this." Lumina put magic Into the leaf she was holding, It get very long and the edges gleamed dangerously. Lumina charge forward, dodging the golems slow strike, she cut at the Creatures left leg. She kept chopping away like a lumber jack a tree, it took her only 20 seconds to fell her tree, or in this case the golem. The golem fell to the ground, putting its one remaining arm out to stop itself from falling fully to the ground. Lumina didn't let it recover, she ran up its back and drove the leaf-blade into it neck. She gave the blade a twist, the golems head fell to the ground and shattered. Lumina rode the body as it fell to the ground, Lumina leapt from the pile of stones back and charged for Almyra , Lumina could see the Golem that was after Almyra, it had it back to Lumina. Lumina grinned and charged headlong right into the back of its leg, throwing her entire weight into the joint. The Golem's leg buckled under the assault and if fell to its knees. Lumina scrambled up its back like she had the other one, but this time the golem rolled trying to crush her. Lumina just barely manged to avoid getting crushed, she did this but running to its front and jumping to the floor in front of it. Lumina spun to face it and called over her shoulder. "RUN!" Lumina was not going to let this girl be hurt.

Almyra had found herself in a rather precarious position. She was on the ground and the golem had turned around now, and was raising its fist to strike Almyra. There was no way she could move fast enough to avoid it as she desperately tried to scramble to her feet. Luckily for her, Lumina had arrived in time to save her from being crushed to death. The other woman slammed herself into the golem's back, bringing it to its knees. Almyra didn't need any more encouragement to get away from it. Finding her footing once more, she rushed off farther into the temple. Hopefully no more golems would awaken. They were the only threats to Almyra, though if more spirits attacked, she would be unable to help Lumina, as she could neither hurt the spirits, nor could they harm her.
In the darkness of the ruins, Almyra practically ran into the final door. She placed her hands on it and closed her eyes in concentration, forcing it to open with her magic. She didn't have time now to slowly open it, and as such chose to overload it, allowing it to be open by the time Lumina finished off the golem and caught up to Almy.
Though the two were unaware of it, too far away to notice, even without the distraction of fighting, a man walked through the empty hallways of the temple, weapon in hand. The one he had hired had gotten much farther than he expected, and with far less damage to the temple itself. There was something amiss, some variable he hadn't accounted for. Still, perhaps this would turn out in favor for him. He wouldn't have to hire nearly as much help to get all the way to the sanctum, and would reach it faster.

Lumina didn't have time to think about how she was gonna fight the golem, the golem stood up and swung it huge fist right at her, Lumina jumped back letting the fist strike the ground where she had just been standing. The strike threw up a cloud of dust, Lumina planned on destroying this golems arm like she had the other one she charged forward, but the golem clearly could learn from the other's mistakes. Lumina was two steps from the golems arm when the other arm came out of the dust cloud and slammed her to the side, she impacted a wall quite a ways up with such force that she felt more then a couple bones break. She started to fall towards the ground, when the golems other arm snatched her out of the air and slammed her down. Lumina felt more bone break and there was blood on her face, a thought ran through her stunned mind. *whos blood is that?* Lumina blinked and reached up with her hand, touching her head and pulling her hand away. Her hand was covered in blood, she blinked to clear the blurieness, she watched as the golem presued the girl. Lumina could not for the life of her remember what the girls name was, She pushed herself to her feet hard considering her body felt numb. She had to stop the damn golem from her ally, she had to move. Lumina's body would not do what she wanted, she forced her feet to lift and move forward, she saw some moss on the wall and moved toward it. It took her to long to make it there, it felt like ages, when she did she fell against the wall. She placed her hand on the moss and cast a breath on it, the moss bubbled to life growing across the wall as if it had been there for 50 longer then it already had, where Lumina had cast her breath a large flower bud grew. It quickly became a flower then made three small fruits. Lumina grabbed all three and popped them into her mouth, they were bitter and hard. But she could feel their restoritive nature taking effect, her skin knitted itself, her bones set themselves. Lumina blinked a bit then pushed herself to her feet, she was still sore but she had to help that girl, and she had to get there before the golem killed her.

The door to the inner sanctum of the temple was open and Almyra couldn't help but pause a moment, staring in awe at what she saw, despite having seen something like this before. Inside was a grand library, perfectly kept, untouched by time. This area, above all, the cult chose to keep safe from the ravages of entropy, and as such, it remained as it had since before the temple was abandoned. Perhaps here, Almyra could learn what fate had befallen those who she might have considered comrades, had she ever been able to meet them. She took a few steps forward, oblivious to what pursued her before her eyes widened with the realization that she could hear the heavy footsteps of the golem behind her. She ran deeper into the library, trying to find a place to hide, knowing that the golem would enter the library, but refuse to do anything that might damage the precious stores of knowledge within it. She would be safe here, provided she could remain hidden. She hadn't seen Lumina take the hit from the golem, but still hoped she would be able to handle it alright.
Once Lumina began to get close to the entrance to the library, the golem would come out to attack her again in the effort to prevent more intruders from entering the library. It wanted to avoid fighting in the library as much as possible. Even having it stolen from would be more ideal than risking the volumes be destroyed.

Lumina didn't fight the golem, simply skipping past it as it looked for her. She got into the library quietly, without the golem seeing her, this mean that when it was time to leave they would have to deal with it. She looked around at all the books, her eyes wide with amazement, "so... many books!" She could not contain herself as she ran over to one of the shelves, she pulled a large red book with a silver binding. She looked at the aged cover, "The Rise and Fall of... the Rose Dragons...." Lumina's eyes went wide, could this book be for real? She looked at the other books around it, they we about some kinda of mathamatics? Why was a history book in the math section. She stepped back from the book shelf and moved back to the main walkways, clutching the book like a child. She looked back at where the golem was, it had figured out where she was but didn't enter the room, it just sat there staring at her. Lumina let on arm move up to her eye, she pulled down the bottem eyelid and stuck her tongue out at the Golem. She turned around and started looking for the other girl, but Lumina started thinking at this point. Why had this book been in the wrong section... and why was it about the subject she wondered on most. Lumina shrugged as she rank, still hugging the book as a child would.
"Hey girly!" Lumina called out as she walked around the Library. "where are you!?!" Lumina would look until she found her.

Almyra heard more footsteps echo through the library, then the sound of someone calling out. It was Lumina! She had made it into the library. Almyra climbed out from under a table, heading toward the voice that had called out, rushing over to the other girl once she caught sight of her. "You beat it?!?" She asked as she ran towards Lumina, though her question was answered as she saw the golem waiting by the entrance to the library, refusing to enter the library. She turned back to Lumina, looking at the book she clutched to her chest. But her gaze fell back to the golem as she could hear the sounds of someone hitting it. With several blows to key points, a man was able to disable the golem efficiently, indicating that he obviously had knowledge of their makeup. After disabling the golem, he strode forward into the library. "Good job on making it this far. I must say I'm surprised." He said to the two continuing forward. His eyes locked on Almyra. "No wonder why. I should have expected that something like this would happen." She stepped forward. "You're a..."
He started to run forward now, brandishing his morningstar as he did so. Almyra panicked and drew her survival knife, getting ready to defend herself, though it was to no avail as the man swung and hit her arm, breaking it with one strike before following through with a blow to her jaw, sending the younger theorist sprawling before she hit the ground, unconscious and bleeding from her arm and face. He raised his hand, aiming it at Lumina as he let loose a burst of entropic energy. It would drain her energy and tear at her flesh, making it seem like it was burning or rotting away while it was still on her.

Lumina saw the man coming her guard went up right away, though she was not expecting him to just attack outright like he did. She watched as Almyra got hammered then the man attacked her, but it was to late her anger was to great already. She tried to turn the spell but failed miserably, causing herself more damage. But she didn't care a aura awoke inside of the girl, she eye were full of fury.
"die..." She said as a invisible wind picked up around her, pulling her hair into the air like it were in water. It turned white and sparks of crimzon black energy were given off her body. She rushed forward far faster then she was normally capable of. She cleared the distance between her and the new enemy in only two strides, she lashed out with her foot using all the momentum behind her movement to fuel her attack. She would then follow up with to more punches then a sweeping kick, while in the kick her hand dips into her pocket and withdraws another seed. She breaths on it as she right herself. she expected blows at this point and would defend herself as much as she could, but her real goal was to draw him in close and hit him point blank with the Seed, when he was tied up with her spell she would wail on him.

Mayu felt something change, she felt Lumina across a great distance and something about it scared her. The little ruby dragon got up from the spot she had been sleeping and made her way outside, she then started making her way to Lumina. It was a great distance and before she got out of the city she was tired, but she kept going she had to. Her sister was in great pain and needed her, Until now Mayu had been unable to fly but something in her changed she felt something pushing her. She flapped her small wings as she scuttled across the ground, it took a bit but she managed to get off the ground. It was not perfect and she ended up crashing more than once. But practice makes perfect, in no time she managed to get moving for real, heading to her sister.

Almyra lie on the ground, dazed and in pain, too stunned to focus on using her magic, not that it would be of any use against the other Chaos Theorist, given the nature of their magic. The source that granted them their abilities rendered them unable to harm each other, at least with magic. She rolled onto her stomach, trying to start crawling... somewhere. She didn't know where or for what purpose. She just had to do something.
The rogue theorist was a bit surprised by the other girl's reaction. Few could withstand the entropic blast of a chaos theorist due to the extremely painful nature of the attack. As she rushed forward, he let loose another blast at Lumina, though it would painfully tear at her flesh, there was no actual force behind it to stop her rush. He swung with his morning star, taking a few hits, but hopefully trading some back as he staggered away from the assault, firing another ball of energy, that, if it made contact, would slowly wear away at Lumina's flesh and bone over time.

Conflict... that is what the golem sensed. It was close, in the library, endangering the knowledge its masters had spent centuries gathering. It must be protected. The golem had lost the two intruders when part of the hallway collapsed, but now it seemed there were more, one aiming to destroy the others, but was risking damage to the library in doing so. This must be put to a stop. With heavy footfalls, the golem began making its way to the library, but was still to far for its footsteps to be heard.

Lumina saw the next magic attack coming at her and tried to deflect it, she failed but didn't make the damage any worse. She then followed through with her combo, she kept in as close to the man as she could rendering his mace pretty much useless. She kept swinging until the man dodged out of rank and launched another on of those balls at her. She simply sidestepped it in her motions to reengage, this man would not get away. She was mildly annoyed he was running like he did, he had jumped them and now her ran like a coward. Lumina bull rushed the man her shoulder leading, if he failed to move out of the way he would be pinned against the wall where Lumina would slam the seed she was holding into his chest, which would root him to the wall with large thick vines. If he did get out of the way Lumina would stop and us the mommentum to fuel a heavy duty kick aimed right at his head.

Something she should not be able to sense the way she did right now, Lumina's aura felt like a enraged dragons. Lumina was a beefstick in combat and no slouch when it came to giving out blows either if she got her hands on them Mayu was sure they would end up plant food. Mayu chuckled at her bad joke, "plant food..." Lumina had a spell that summoned a man eating flower which had a nasty perchance of eating the enemy... dead or not.

Lumina's opponent fired off more spells at her during the attack, focusing more on taking her down than defending himself. He wouldn't stop the bullrush, but instead hit her with another rending blast of magic, continuing to violently wear away Lumina's flesh. She pinned him against the wall and tied him to it with vines. Did she really think that would work, that one could physically bind a person who can, with a simple thought bring about the destruction of his surroundings, with a simple thought tear nearly all that surrounded him down into their base elements. "You can't hold back the end." He said, a smirk forming on his face. For a moment, he flickered with a sort of green fire. Suddenly, it expanded, forming a sphere around him that shot outwards, enveloping everything in the room. Some ooks, bookshelves, and sections of the wall crumbled to dust, the enchantments staving off the ravages of time broken by the sheer force of the man's spell. Most importantly, the vines binding him all crumbled to dust. As the energy wave passed over her, Lumina would feel as though every nerve ending was slowly being seared off at the same time.
Almyra tried to move. She had to help, somehow. She grabbed at one of the remaining bookshelves pulling herself unsteadily to her feet. She took two steps then fell down again, groaning in pain. The room was spinning for her, the force of the impact to her jaw more than enough to give her a concussion. She tried again, slowly, unsteadily regaining her footing.

Lumina tried to stop the magic from affecting her, but failed she could feel it. She felt weightless as she was thown back, she felt the ground as she landed. She through she was dead which she didn't mind so much, death was apart of the cycle of life. But something was wrong, she still felt alive, Lumina opened her eyes and found herself somewhere else. Lumina felt weightless as she, she stood up and looked around, she was in a black void.
"Is this death? Is this the afterlife?"
Lumina pondered out loud, she clenched her fists at the though of leaving that girl alone in that place.
"No my dear... this is not death... this is not the afterlife either. You should know that your alive, you in a way are life itself."
Lumina looked around frantically for the voice, it sounded familiar, though she didn't know why.
"Who are you!"
Lumina demanded, she looked around for the speaker, but found nobody. Lumina dropped to a fighting stance and yelled out again.
"Come out now! Or are you to scared to fight me!"
Lumina was ready for a fight, ready to fight what ever it was that brought her here. She didn't care she had to get back to Almyra, she could not let the girl fight everything alone.
"Calm my child... you are simply sharing a part of your mind with me... or more like whats left of me..."
Lumina narrowed her eyes but lowered her fists a bit, she didn't like this but something about the voice made her believe it. She didn't know what she should do, there was nothing in this place except herself. Well and another woman, Lumina jumped back as she realized that the woman was there... not two feet from her. The woman laughed and smiled at Lumina.
"Well my daughter you look well... though this is the first time i have met you..."
The woman smiled, she had fiery red hair and she word a simple dress, which did nothing to hide the scales of a dragon. Lumina's eyes went wide, who was this woman and why the hell was she calling her daughter.
"I guess you won't remember me like this, but one day you will understand... now you need to wake up and help your friend."
Lumina opened her eyes, she felt the cold stone underneath her, she was alive. Lumina held up her hand to her face, nothing had changed for the most part she was not sure what had happened. Suddenly the situation snapped into her head and she bolted upright, fully healed and ready for a fight.

Almyra looked on in horror as Lumina fell from their opponent's massive blast. That was the most immediate consequence of his action, but with that much energy being released, it was clear that there would be many consequences that would result later on. She didn't have time to bother considering them, though. She had to survive, and to defeat this rogue Chaos Theorist. She staggered forward a few steps, bleeding from her broken mouth and face, which had not only been smashed, but had been cut open from the spikes on the morningstar.
Her opponent was barely standing after Lumina's assault. She had a chance. It was slim at best, but she might be able to pull it off. He was walking towards her now, his weapon dripping with her own blood. She staggered unsteadily towards him, when suddenly there was a heavy thump at the entrance to the library. The golem had arrived. It looked around, assessing the situation, seeing that Lumina had risen to her feet once again, but it ignored her. No, it was told here would be a threat in this library, but up until now, it hadn't known what the threat would be. But now it knew the truth, the first intruders in here were not what it had to defend against. They were simply what brought the real threat inside, the heralds of the temple's destruction, but not the one who would try to bring it, and now they stood in direct opposition to the golem's enemy. It now recognized the two females as allies, and as such, left them alone to rush towards their mutual opponent.
The rogue theorist stopped in his tracks, assessing the situation. The tables seemed to have turned on him; the opponent he had just slain was standing back up through some means, and there was now a golem coming after him at a breakneck pace. He turned back to Almy, deciding it would be best to at least finish her off to get her out of the way, but as he looked back, he was surprised to see Almy rushing towards him as quickly as she could muster. She tackled him. He was stronger than her, but she didn't need to bring him down, no, just distract him. He wrestled with her for a brief moment before he received a powerful blow to the back, sending him and Almyra flying around 30 feet before they both hit the ground. Almyra was knocked unconscious on the impact, but since she didn't take the direct hit, she wasn't too badly injured by the blow.
The golem stood still now, silently waiting for its opponent to rise again. The rogue mage crawled and writhed on the floor, several of his bones shattered by the punch from the golem. He would be unable to fight back, and all Lumina would have to do is step up to him an finish him off. If she did not, the golem would walk up to him and stomp on him to finish him off. If she did, he would whisper to her as she moved in for the kill, saying "And so, all things must end." As he died, whether by the golem or by Lumina, his body would rot away to dust in a matter of seconds, and his aura and soul would fade to nothing. No afterlife of any sort awaited those who heard the calling of Eris. Once he was dead, the golem would remain still, no longer hostile to Lumina or the unconscious Almyra.

Lumina saw the Almyra and the man get swatted against the room by the golem, Lumina made after them ready to pound the man out of existence. She ran right up to him as he tried to stand and hit him as hard as she could, which was not to hard considering her wounds. But it seemed to be enough, crushing in his solar plexus but it seemed he was dying already. Lumina watched as he faded away, she didn't even respond to what he said, she knew better then anyone nothing lasts forever. Lumina sighed and looked down at the unconscious woman, Lumina would have to carry her and the book out. Lumina sighed and picked up the girl, throwing her over her shoulder. Lumina shifted her weight and the moved back to where the book was laying. She picked up the book and made her way out of the temple, she didn't know where to go after this really, so she went back to the village and handed the other woman over to them to take care of. They were thankful and offer her food and a place to rest but Lumina didn't accept, instead just leaving quietly with the book in her arms.
Lumina was about a hour out of town when a flying red blur slammed into her from behind, know really phasing her but catching her by suprise. Lumina spun around only to find Mayu in a heap on the ground her claws holding her head where she had hit Lumina.
"Mayu!?! What are you doing here?"
The little dragon right itself and shook it head, looking at Lumina, "looking for you... i don't know why but i felt like you were in grave danger." The little dragon looked Lumina up and down. Lumina was covered in a bit of blood and quite a bit of grime but other than that look otherwise fine. "Well seems your fine... whats in your arms?" the little dragon flew up to Lumina's shoulder and pawed at the book in her arms.
"Not sure but... i think i saw mom... or... I don't know... Lets go home then we can read it." Lumina smiled and took off, they had a long path in front of them... one they would not have to see through alone.

Almyra was safely returned to Oak Town where she received medical treatment for her injuries. For some odd reason, the healing mages in the town were unable to help, and thus a more technological approach to healing had to be taken. Her arm was set in a cast and sling, and her jaw was surgically wired shut after being put back into place. She would have to survive on a liquid diet until it was healed fully, and would be unable to open her mouth, as it needed to remain in place while the bones healed. The cuts on her face were stitched shut, and for her leg, there was little to be done besides putting it in a brace and having her move using crutches. The small woman took it all in stride, though, happy with her discovery, and (albeit assisted) defense of the temple.
After a few days to recover, she returned, this time with a few more people to gather her things, and to take the most important book from the library for safekeeping. It was much like hers, and contained a copy of all the books ever in the library. She touched her own book to it to add this one to her collection. The golems and spirits knew that the young chaos theorist and her entourage were no longer a threat and left them be. When all was said and done, a vast amount of ancient scrolls, books, documents, and other texts were recovered, along with a few historical artifacts, though not much of significant magical power. The cult Almy followed strove to preserve all knowledge, and Almyra and her allies had stopped the knowledge contained within the temple from being destroyed, and most of it was now in the hands of various historians for study. Though the job had been painful, and the recovery would be difficult, it was finally over. Almyra wondered what had happened to Frederick, and hoped that perhaps she would encounter him again someday.
