Name: Perseguidor
Rank: Artifact
Type: Blade-Whip
Description: At first glance, Persequidor appears to be an ordinary sword: a curved broadsword with a thirty-six inch blade along with a metal handle fitted with a gold guard and intricate scale-like design. In reality, the blade is not a single blade but, rather, is a series of blades stacked against each other. When the wielder swings the sword, the blades extend out like a whip made of blades, with each blade connected to the last by pins. With the jerk of a wrist, the wielder can retract the blades back into one as quickly as it was swung. The blades can reach out to a maximum range of 15 meters.
Typically, an attack with Perseguidor follow this formula: swing the sword (in default form), it extends out in whip form, and then the wielder retracts the blades with a flip of the wrist and returns it the default form.
"Perseguidor" is Spanish for "Persecutor" and is called such for its role in the Pergrande Inquisition; in fact, upon closer look, a faint red stain (the blood of wizards) can be seen on several of the blades. Supposedly, it was invented for the sole purpose of negating the disadvantage of knights being too far away to attack. Whatever its purpose, the weapon was later retired as a mere trophy and eventually sold to a nobleman in Fiore. By chance, Enola happened to come across it while raiding the same nobleman's manor with her fellow bandits several years ago. For personal tastes, Enola has added a small strip of green cloth to the handle. The cloth has had three emblems stitched to it: a fish (the Pisa coat of arms), a smiling swordfish (the Inopia emblem) and a lamia (the symbol for Lamia Scale).

- Default Form:
- Whip Form:
- Opponents seeing this weapon for the first time are certain to be caught off guard by Persequidor's whip form.
- The blades run in a zig-zag when they are swung in whip form, making it difficult to predict Perseguidor's movements.
- The wielder can swing and retract the blades as quickly as he or she would swing a regular sword.
- A skilled wielder can cause the whip to curve and form arcs in mid-swing, making it possible for the blades to reach around some obstacles to reach the intended target.
- Because of the amount of skill and practice necessary to use Perseguidor, an opponent cannot steal this weapon and use the whip form right off the bat.
Weaknesses:
- The blades must be retracted each time the whip is swung before it can be swung again.
- There is a small but obvious moment of vulnerability for the wielder: after the wielder has swung the blades and before he or she has retracted them back into a normal sword.
- If the blades get tangled in something while in whip form, this weapon will be practically unusable.
- The whip form of Persequidor is much less useful (and much more risky) in melee range.
- Due to the fact that Persequidor is such a complex weapon to use, the wielder cannot use the whip form if he or she is in a state in which the intellect or motor skills are affected (such as intoxication or a fever).
- In its default form, Perseguidor's blade is much heavier than a regular sword's blade.
- The whip form is lacking in defensive capabilities, though it can intercept some attacks with its own offensive power.
- Perseguidor's large size in default form makes it difficult to conceal.
Abilities:
- Iron Dust Poison:
- Name: Iron Dust Poison
Rank: C
Type: Dust || Offensive
Duration: 3 Posts
Cooldown: 4 Posts
Description: Enola runs her hand over the blade of Perseguidor (default form) and attempts to cut an enemy with it. If she manages to successfully cut an enemy, small pieces of the blade will break off in the form of metallic dust and into the wound mid-cut. These small bits of metallic dust will then start making small cuts within the wound, causing intense pain, intense bleeding, and 0.5 C rank damage per turn. Note: despite the name, this spell is not actually a poison and, thus, not consumable by poison slayers.
Strengths:- The enemy cannot heal the wound until after this spell is over.
- Causes a large amount of pain.
- Causes profuse bleeding.
Weaknesses:- Enola must cut the opponent with Perseguidor for this spell to properly work.
- Only works against opponents with flesh.
- The metal dust can be sucked out of the wound by an iron slayer as well as a healer.
- The damage caused is not all at once.
- The enemy cannot heal the wound until after this spell is over.
- Disappearing Sword:
- Name: Disappearing Sword
Rank: C
Type: Dust || Offensive
Duration: 5 Posts
Cooldown: 6 Posts
Description: Enola stabs the ground with Perseguidor, causing the entire area within a 12 meter radius to be covered in a field of dust. As long as this spell is active, Enola can turn her sword into dust and make it sink into the ground. From that point, she can cause the sword to rematerialize and shoot out from somewhere on the dust field (at 15 m/s) to impale an opponent for 1 C rank damage maximum per post. Whether the sword actually impales someone or not, the sword will automatically turn back into dust and sink back into the ground (unless Enola wills otherwise) after several seconds. When the spell ends, the sword will shoot out from the ground gently in front of Enola, allowing her to grab it without much fear of cutting herself.
Strengths:- Can surprise opponents.
- Can impale opponents.
- The dust field does not disappear after this spells end, making it possible for the opponent to assume this spell is still active.
Weaknesses:- The dust field will ripple before the sword shoots out, giving a warning to the target.
- The sword can only shoot out of the dust field.
- Opponents can simply step off of the dust field.
- The sword cannot shoot out of any part of the dust field that has been covered by a large amount of water.
- Wind spells can blow parts of the field away.
- Perseguidor can only shoot out of the ground in default form, not whip form.
- Can surprise opponents.
