Stolen Jewelry? It's in the trunk

Zemina walked through the city of Hargeon, and sat on a bench wearing her cloak and armor, the entire red outfit making her seem like some assassin or something, accompanied by the sword at her side the woman didn't give off that good of a vibe to the people around her, but this was the location that she said she would be on the note. She didn't know if anyone else would join the job, but just in case the woman left a note on the job board.

This job has been taken. If anyone wants to accompany meet me in Hargeon in the west side of Hargeon Park, I'll be on a bench at 1 pm until 1:25.

Zemina didn't decide to sign her name, because she decided that it might give off too much of herself, like if there were enemies or other people who decided to follow her. Enemies were bad people. The woman put the sword that was once on her waist now on her lap, and sat around thinking to herself. Thievery is common in a large town, how does this man expect me to find one piece of jewlery inside this large town, and how am i supposed to know how it looks? This will be difficult, but not impossible. However nigh impossible is not hard to say...

Speculo

Speculo wandered into Hargeon Town. A nice port, and may be an interesting place to visit. He had given up the thought of leaving the country for the time being. They weren't after him at the moment, and hopefully never will be again. He was running out of food money, and his stomach was growling. Walking into a normal guild, the Mirror Mage walked straight to the job board. In his years growing up with the assassin guild, he learned that if you acted like you were supposed to be where you were, nobody stopped you. So, cool as a cucumber, he strolled up and looked for small jobs. A note caught his eye for an already taken job. This job has been taken. If anyone wants to accompany meet me in Hargeon in the west side of Hargeon Park, I'll be on a bench at 1 pm until 1:25. Huh. Well, noon was when I entered town.. it must be around 1 by now. Might as well see who's there. He set off for Hargeon Park, and spotted someone sitting on a bench, wearing a red cloak and armor. Walking up to the woman with a sword on her lap, he sat next to her. "You said other people could join you, right?" He turned to her.

Zemina was approached by someone, one that she didn't know. "Walking up to complete strangers is dangerous, for all you know the job request could have meant that bench over there." Zemina pointed to a man sitting at a bench directly accross from her. "For all you know I could be here to kill whoever accepts said job, but you're lucky I'm not." Zemina stood up, and began walking away without any sign of follow me, just automattically assuming he would, because he did decide to take the job with her. "We need to find some misplaced jewelry, but however it could have been stolen. We should ask around and see if anyone knows anything, because thievery is very common in large cities with a surplus amount of people." Zemina put her hand to her chin in thought as she continued walking, thinking about how they would get their hands on the missing property, They had no recognition of what it looks like, they didn't know where the wife last was before they left Hargeon, it was all too annoying to find that they were on a wild goose chase. They had no leads anywhere but they were still expected to do this.

"Well jeeze, sorry." Speculo rolled his eyes on the inside. "That guy didn't really seem like a wizard, the way his sitting there reading a newspaper. Yeah, I'll go to him rather than the girl in the red cloak and armor." He followed the girl in the red cloak and armor, listening to her as they walked down the road. "Stolen? Sure, asking around would be good.." he looked towards the docks, pondering. "How 'bout we ask if people have lost jewelry rather than for our set of jewelry? Think about it. It's a port town, and a large one at that. Lots of accessories and jewels pass through here. You said yourself, thievery is very common. It would be perfect to collect them and then ship them overseas to be sold. and I doubt the owner of the jewelry asked mages to find some pieces of gold and gems." He paused for a moment, considering what just came out of his mouth. "Either that, or I just found a very easy way to make a ton of money." "Did the client at least provide us with where he was in Hargeon town that are possible locations? Restaurants, hotel, parks?"

Zemina completely ignored the first two parts. The fact that the man didn't look intimidating enough to be a mage, and the fact that he made a "good way to get rich." However the third statement Zemina responded to.

"No. All the client said was that they were on vacation in Hargeon and his wife misplaced her jewlery somewhere in the town. Otherwise no type of jewelry, what places he and his wife were in, nothing. All he said was to go find a spec of dust in a haystack, if you think about it." The young woman sighed, and continued walking, until she and Speculo came across a cafe. Zemina walked up to the doors, and opened the glass entrance and stepped in. The place smelled divine, and Zemina would stay for something to eat had she not been on a job right now. She walked up to the man working the register, and made sure to keep her cloak hood covering everything but her mouth and very low facial area, just in case he was in any corrolation with the possible thief.

"You know anything about any stolen jewelery?" Zemina asked forcefully, not caring about formality.

"Well don't I get a hello, little Missy? What do you want to know about stolen jewelery, for there is stuff being stolen every day." The man folded his arms, and spoke with a very cynical tone, dripping with every inch of sarcasm, all of which Zemina didn't respond too well with.

Zemina slammed her fist on the counter, fiery red eyes glaring at the man. "I'm on a job, now if you don't tell me wether you know anything or not I'll take my sword, and I'll cut off your legs! You'll live given you get help fast enough, but you will be walking impaired. Do NOT mess around with me." The man stared at Zemina with still the look of "psh whatever" and looked over at Speculo, as if to say "you see this? HA!"

After hearing about no leads of any kind anywhere, Speculo scratched his chin. "Crap..." Speculo kept thinking of ways to go about this job, every angle he could reason would be right to pursue. He followed speechlessly into the cafe, taking in the details of the place and the aroma. He didn't listen to the first part of the conversation, but when Zemina started to yell and threaten, he turned his head. With how she had been so far, he was sure she would go through with it. He was about to tell her to call down, but then the man looked at him, the mage thought it best to side with his partner. "Buddy, do what she says or I'll stick glass in your eyes after she does the dismembering. No matter how fast you get help, you will be done for." He showed the glass on his gloves and then pointed to her sword. "Capiche?" "Uh.. Y-yeah. I guess. What do you want to know?" He seemed stumped a little. "Stolen Jewelry. Don't be a jackass. You-" He paused, and saw he was making a scene. "You heard anything recently? I would rather not kill you, but she would probably like to." He whispered.

Zemina made no response, nor an attempt at a response, at what Speculo said about her trying and wanting to kill the man. She was pissed, for reasons she didn't really care to find out. Was it the job's lack of detail? This man's pissy sarcasm? Not even she knew, but she was the last one who wanted to find out. And so the man spoke. "Nah man I don't know nothin'. There is a street urchin by the alias of "The Watchful Eye," or just "The Eye" who knows everything about anything. Trust me, if you want details I'd find him." Zemina looked at the man with sheer disgust, but still responded. "Tell us where you find him." The man laughed. "I'll tell you for a kiss, darling. The knight still needs his princess in the end Madame."

Zemina took exception to this statement,

Zemina grabbed the man's finger, and bent it as back as possible, breaking it and sending a squeal from the man. "I said tell us where you find him." The crimson swordswoman glared, the look of hatred, the look of determination, basically the look that stated "I'll do anything that won't kill you to get this answer, including breaking your ribs, fingers, legs, and face." Basically she gave him the look of Batman.

"No-no-no-no-AHHH!!!! I dont know! Really! He's a ghost, nobody knows where to find 'em, and those who do never see him again after that! He has no contact, no nuthin! He's a gho-AAAAHHH!!!" Zemina released the finger, and the man ran away, and Zemina walked out of the cafe, attracting attention of those who happened to see her guild logo, and attracting little conversations of "What was that about," "That woman's a light mage," and "what's up hers?"

He watched the man run out of the cafe, grasping his hand. He followed the man's movements as he booked it down the street then into an alley way, presumably to a clinic or hospital. Or maybe.. The Mirror Mage followed the girl in the red cloak out of the cafe. "Damn, that was a bit ruff. You ok? Or are you always like this?" He asked. "That guy might have unpleasant friends. Not that we couldn't do anything about them, but still." He looked around a bit, not really looking for or at anything. "So, where do you suppose we could find 'The Eye'? If nobody see's him, he might be hiding in plain sight among the normal folk, or he might actually have a really nice hole. I don't really know this town, so you'll be better at knowing places to look than me." He kept thinking out loud, not really sure how to approach Zemina. "Well, if he stayed in a hole so well, he wouldn't know everything that goes on. He must have a lot of contacts, and live in a lower populated area of the town. Warehouse or manufacturing district? maybe one of the warehouses that bring boats on land or where they keep cargo."

Zemina stopped for a second when he had asked his question, pondering over it. "I'm fine, if I need to interrogate someone I interrogate them by any means possible. You don't want to piss me off if I'm interrogating you, that man learned the hard way." Zemina didn't care at all about him possibly having "dangerous friends," for anything they threw at her she could throw back with even more force, regardless. After Speculo explained the hole bit, Zemina decided that wasn't the best course of action. If he had a hole, there was no way ANYONE could find him, he would be a ghost among everyone, and no one would have any information on him, not even the cafe man with his extremely low amount of info. "He is probably hiding in plain sight. There are many street urchins in this place, and its not uncommon to see them. He probably just gets his information, gives it, and dissapears into the crowd. He has a common face, one that is easily forgettable. He is as generic as can be, therefore its impossible to find him again after you have already." Zemina began thinking once she began walking again. "Perhaps we can find him in an area that a lot of gossip goes through, like a public place. I don't know..." Zemina sighed, and continued.

"Usual look.... probably brown hair, average length of short or to the chin, about 5' 7" tall, clean shaven, and would probably keep to themselves." Popular gossip locations.. possible gossip locations...  "As for the area, how about a park? or maybe a more popular cafe? Those are easy locations for people to get to. lots of benches for secret talk as well. I'm assuming he get's updates fairly regularly to keep, well, up to date. " Speculo speculated then finally said aloud. Street Urchin, huh? "Maybe we should find one of these Street Urchins. Say we have info for the Eye. Arrange a meeting between the urchin and the Eye if we can't get a meeting ourselves. That is our best plan of action, I think. Unless you have a suggestion?" Zemina seemed to be able to think on her feet, and that was good. Meant she was smart. To get someone as infamous as The Eye might require a plan like this. Zemina also was obviously strong. Not someone he would like to face. Although, he could counter her ruthlessness with his own. But he had no idea what magic she used.. and from his previous conversation, if you could it that, she could take a guess to his. Wait! Why was he even thinking of this? She wouldn't become an enemy. Hopefully.

Zemina nodded her head, he was correct with his statement, or at least more than likely correct. "We can arrange a meeting, you're right, and crowded places do include the parks around here. This man probably fits the description you gave, because he needs to blend in. This however will make him even harder to find, but it'll prove worthwhile eventually." The sword tapped against her side as she walked, returning to the initial park that they met up on, a park filled with people, but not many were actually on the outskirts where the two first met. "Lets go to the center, he, if he is anywhere, would be there." The woman nodded, and pulled down her hood down, revealing her black hair and red eyes, and continued down the middle path. The sidewalk kept going until it met a fountain in the middle, where Zemina stood there thinking. "We should create a false scenario - one that would drag the Eye out. But what scenario would it be...?" she said out loud.

Speculo followed Zemina to the center of the park, nodding at her confirming what he said earlier. He froze for a quick second when she took her hood off. Her black hair and red eyes... they were scary, but on her they looked stunning. Her exposed belly and skirt made her look like some kind of dance- He quickly shook his head, trying to get back on track. Where is your head man? Ever since Venir, he's been paying a lot more attention to the way girls are.. He normally didn't care.. and she was WAY to young anyway! Why was he even thinking of these things?! He hit his head to get his train of thought from continuously derailing.  A scenario... what could he do that would draw The Eye out? "Well, I'm betting that what happened with the man we 'interrogated' earlier has already gotten word to The Eye. So, being his friend may be a hard course of action. But being hostile will only push him away..."  He scratched his head. "Man, this guy is hard to find.. So, we should just make up something that the Eye should want to know about. Maybe new competition in the city, or.. something." He proposed. "no, something juicier.." He thought for a moment, then something caught a spark in his brain. "Magic Council raid on the warehouses. That should be something."
