The Cosplay Cafe [Myra, Jin, Irina, Alie and Ariel, Elyx l Job]

Children, that was cool. They certainly could treat him better than his current situation. He walked up to the first child, a small child, around 6 years. Old. He was so adorable, and innocent looking too. He wondered where the kids friends were. He looked up to Elyx with his mouth forming in the shape of the circle, showing curiosity. He pointed at Elyxs face, causing Elyx to shutter a little bit, ready for a terrible comment. But instead, the curious kid just asked an innocent question, and it wasn't the least bit insulting to Elyx, but rather adorable. Are you really a cat mister? The boy asked as he poked Elyxs cheek innocently.

Elyx bent onto his knees so he could look at the kid. When he was a few years younger, he loved to play with the children. And that experience that him how to speak to them, speak like they do. Make them believe in some sort of magic. Don't bring them into reality so quickly, give them a little shot of imagination whole they are this innocent. Yeah, I'm a Neko little one nyah. Elyx said as he put his naturally cat-like grin on his face. The kid looked rather shocked and patted Elyx twice before he then walked off happily to find his friends. Elyx turned back to the group with his smile on his face again. I think i am feeling better now nyah. Elyx said happily as he bit on a chocolate bar.

Jin walked into the kitchen and he couldn’t help himself but admire it. The café had a good kitchen, clean utensils, cleanly organized knives and everything was ready to be used. ”This is good, I guess I just have to cook then. Better get used to where everything is before orders start piling up”. With that thought in mind, before the café opened up he began looking around. He opened the cupboards above his head, then the ones on the ground. Then the drawers to find some fresh ingredients. It was like the staff here was very organized, he guessed that they probably called in sick to get a little break from all the costume wearing. It only made sense since two of the mages that had come along with him were walking around in uncomfortable looking dresses. And his dear friend was walking around in a cat costume, saying ‘nyah’ at the end of each sentence.

The fifteen minutes passed and customers just barged in, probably a schooled trip since there were so many kids. Jin started looking around for ingredients for cake and sweet stuff, that would be the usual kid’s order right? Sadly, he was the only Kirby.. chef around so he had the kitchen to himself. He didn’t want to be unprepared if in case all the kids ordered the same thing at the same time. It would have been more help if one of his friends had decided to lend a hand in the kitchen. However, considering the number of customers it would leave the tables unattended. Moving around in the pink fluffy round costume was troublesome but he was getting used to it by now.

Jin opened the door of the kitchen to sneak a peek and got the attention of the nearest seated school kids. They pointed and laughed at him which he didn’t mind, he actually enjoyed making people happy and laugh. He waved at the kids making a smiley face with his fingers and then he looked around at his fellow guild mages, in case they had received an order.

The two girls hopped over to one of the tables to take an order for a group of the kids. Alie sighed and pulled out a small notepad "What can I get for you today." She said flatly with a straight face. Almost like she didn't want to be there. "Yeah! Yer gonna order maggots!" Ariel said in a rather gruff and assertive tone. The children just looked at them confused then back at the menu. "I want the steak." "I want the burger." "Chocolate shake for me." "One omelet please." they all spoke at once. The girls scribbled it all down and repeated the order for clarification. "No, we said 3 Burger meals and 1 ice cream" one on the right said. The girls sighed and fixed the order, once again repeating it for clarification. "no no no. 3 shakes, a soda, and 4 burger measls." another said. This time the girls wrote it down and ran back to Jin with the orders before the kids could change their minds again.

As Myra started to attempt an guide the couple to a table Elyx took a bite out of a chocolate bar in front of her. As the couple were trying to get pictures of Myra and her she did all the poses completely at random near flawlessly just by trying to spy on Elyx as he ate his chocolate bar, how dare he eat a chocolate bar in her presence. As Myra continued to struggle with posing for the couple with Irina already completing her share she lurked behind Elyx while drooling, not only were they in a restaurant but they had a member of the team who was eating in front of her. Irina would have continued lurking if only her stomach didn't make the loudest growl ever from behind Elyx blowing her cover completely. She tried to act innocent like nothing happened but then one of children screamed out. "SHE'S A BEAR HIDE!" Though it seemed rather abrupt all the kids in the cafe burst out laughing historically.

Elyx stood up and walked a bit further to see how the children were doing until he then felt his Lerale Eye effect take in. Someone was trying to get to him without his attention it seemed, a shame they were in a place where they can be easily identified. Elyx was about to summon his Violin until he then heard a stomach growl really closely, and that was his role. He heard a kid yell something about a bear, but it didn't affect him. He swung his Violin at whoever it was until it stopped, seeing the darker looking g girl trying to get chocolate from his knapsack, too bad she couldn't get any. Elyx pretended to play dumb and ask her a question that was rather obvious. What are you trying to do? Shouldn't you be helping the children? Elyx asked as he threw away the wrapper in his left pocket and put his right on his hip. She better have a good excuse, the Lerale Eye doesn't lie to Elyx, but thieves do.

Jin was looking around until the twins passed him an order, the order was pretty scratched up like the customers had revised the order time and time again. Well, there was the final order at the bottom of the list anyways. He grabbed and rushed into the kitchen, so he had to prepare 3 shakes and a burger. There was no time to waste and he still had plenty of orders to receive. The chef in training hopped to it, he grabbed a few ingredients cutting them while he poured some oil and turned on the heat. He was multitasking to save up time and keeping an eye out on everything. Of course that would affect the overall quality of the food but he wasn’t aiming for something too grand anyways. Finally he prepared the order, placed it on the table and yelled the order number that the twins had written on the order. He then awaited the arrival of the cutely dressed twins to take the order from him after which he would walk back to the door; awaiting further order.

While he was inside making the order, he completely missed the part where Irina had tried to steal Elyx’s chocolates. He did noticed that Myra had to do some pretty weird poses for two weird customers. He wanted to stop them but that might end up in some unhappy customers. He really didn’t like the thought of one of his fellow guild members being troubled like that but client satisfaction was necessary too. When Jin walked out after giving the order away, he noticed that Myra was standing and the two customers looked unhappy. Noting the tense expressions on the mage’s face he rushed to the customers. As he once again appeared all the kids pointed and laughed at the pink fluffy chef hat wearing individual. He waved to the customers who were taking Myra’s pictures and stood next to her saying: ”Hi there, just one more photo and then you can order whatever you came here to eat. I hope you won’t mind if my friend here goes to attend more customers”. He posed with Myra, just standing together being all cute and cuddly. They took a picture and then took a table, Jin took a sigh of relief.

Even though he wasn’t supposed to be out there, he thought he’d better step in and help out. Then he rushed back into the kitchen, jumping and hopping about making children happy. Returning to his kitchen door, he awaited the arrival of more orders having made only one till now.

The twins came back to the counter and grabbed the food that Jin had prepared. How he managed to do that while stuffed in a pink ball they will never know. They slid the plates and drinks onto the table, bowed politely before going to another table. Again it was kids and again the same thing happened where they had to change the order like 3 times before the twins ran off before it happened again. They gave the ticket to Jin then went to take the couples' order. Perhaps they would know what they liked. Alie stepped up with the notebok, "What can I get for you today?" she said in that flat boring tone again the young man looked up as he order "The lover's sundae please. Extra bananas." He said handing the menus back. She scribbled it down and ran back to Jin with it. "They were much nicer than the kids." Ariel said as they made their way to the kitchen.

Irina stared at Elyx as he threw away the wrapper of the chocolate bar, how dare he eat in front of her then discard the wrappings like they were nothing. Her usual dark unnerving aura turned to that of pure chaos as she went from emotionless to furious. "HOW DARE YOU TAUNT ME WITH SUCH NOVELTIES!" She screamed almost ready to hit the guy then she was reminded as the kids burst out laughing again that she wasn't in the right kind of place to be enacting violence. After piping down a bit her stomach growled once again signalling the arrival of a rather disappointed face, she was starving just be being in this place. "I suppose you wouldn't mind sharing." She asked in a rather grumpy tone, at this point she was going to completely fail at this job she wasn't even doing things right, she didn't even know why she came along with a bunch of complete strangers anyways.

Elyx kept silent, just watching the whole thing go on. He wasn't phased, it was true he shouldn't eat chocolate in a cafe and he realized his mistakes but he was being yelled at for the wrong reason. Whoever this woman thought she was, if she thought others eating was such a problem, why did she even accept going into a cafe. The manager didnt seem to happy with her, but this was a perfect chance to help everyone out. The children were laughing, some adults too. The costumes helped, it looked like an act, a play, a show for everyone to watch. Elyx walked up to her, his hand in his knapsack, he then gripped a chocolate bar and pulled it out. He grabbed the palm of the woman, then placed the treat in her palm.

If you need any more, ask me. I'll be glad to share. Elyx said as he then walked to the manager, who still didn't seem happy with the woman's reaction. This was an easy one to get by.That's a comedy act, we tend to do this very often, but our main goal is to reach the children good morals with a bit of humor. Look at the children now, they are laughing, even some adults too. Elyx explained as the manager stood for a few seconds, the facial expression realizing what happened. A smile then lit across the face and returned back to the office. That was a close call.

Jin was happy Myra let him handle the situation, it was apparent she was very uncomfortable. When Myra walked into the kitchen, Jin passed her some left over shake from before. Everyone was working and no one had time to eat, even Jin himself couldn’t eat. He had the suit on and it covered his face, in order to eat he would have to come out of the costume. If he wasted time doing that then there would be a delay in the order delivery. He was quite busy with all the orders coming in and it was already a problem to move around in the costume. Regardless, he was doing fine till now, nothing had been broken and he hadn’t burned anything either. The customers seemed happy, whether that was from their costumes or from his cooking; that was a different matter. Customer satisfaction was the utmost important thing anyways.

Myra left again looking at the time stating that they had to pull through for a little while longer. Jin was getting hungry and he had all this food in front of him; sadly he couldn’t eat. He just had to preserve and wait until it was all over. After Myra departed he tended to more orders, though it was tough moving around in the costume. It had been the entire day and he was growing tired of it now. Thanks to his magic he was able to maintain the body temperature, so he wasn’t feeling hot.

Finally the time came and his struggles ended, the time to close the cafeteria off was here.He had prepared a few snacks for his friends since they too hadn’t eaten anything. He walked out of the kitchen, ”Nice work everyone, I’ve made some stuff for us to eat. It’s not much but I think the manager won’t mind”, the manager walked out of his office and approved of it as well. After eating the snacks, he just wanted to pounce out of his costume.

He couldn’t do that though because he needed to go to the wardrobe and change back into his clothes. The manager apparently loved their work and told them they could keep the costumes. As if Jin would ever wear a pink fluffy round costume again. He returned to the changing room so he could return to his clothes again.

The two girls kept up their acts pretty much flawlessly the entire time. Taking orders and putting on little shows at the tables for customers. There were definitely a few times when some weirdo walked in and caused the twins some discomfort, they put up with it. There were also a few costumers who the manger had to remove because they were making a fuse over something or other. All and all it was, in the mangers words "A pretty average night." At last the costumers left and the sign flipped to closed. Jin brought out snacks and everyone changed back into clothes that suited them much better. They all sat down at the table to eat the snacks. "These are really good." Alie said biting into biscuit. Ariel nodded in agreement, holding half a sandwich in her mouth.
The girls decided to leave those strange costumes with the manger in the back. They had the costumes from last time they were there. They sat around the table enjoying the snacks and talking about the stuff that happened to them. They guessed each person would keep the more embarrassing things to themselves. That wasn't something one shares openly.

Irina finished cleaning up the last table just as the sign was flipped to say closed. As soon as it was closed Irina seemingly vanished, her destination the kitchen where several snacks had been prepared. No one would notice she was there until she held out her plate in from of whoever was there. "More please." She said back in her monotone emotionless voice. It was clear however that she wasn't about to receive anymore for the time being and thus she placed the plate down and vanished once again, this time to the room with all the costumes where she previously changed into a costume, this time however she changed back into her normal cloths and that was that not a single word was said afterwards, she didn't even bother to take the costume with her. However she eyed some of the other costumes, maybe there was something here that would be of use for her later on she didn't really care about the act of stealing and usually it would be a huge hassle but the manager had so many costumes most of which were replicas that it wouldn't even matter if she took one, she managed to find one that looked almost exactly like Myra's except with blue instead of red and she decided to take that one.

Elyx took the cat ears and whiskers with him, a feeling that he might want to use them again. He didn't wear them on his way out, instead, he hung them loosely in his right hand as he walked alonside everyone else. Casual clothing once again was on his body, and it felt great. He didn't really like.the whole dressing up thing, but being a cat like human was actually a little fun. And he didn't even have to use Swift paws in this case. Now that made him feel a little better, he didn't need to actually battle and use his cat form to blend in, and these are to make sure that is the case, rather than forcing himself to use his cat form again. The day ended, and his pride wasn't entirely shattered, so at least he didn't lose. At least he kept a few items in the end.
