People Are Impressed By Dragons, Right? [Job:Spread The Word!] (Akeya Kuusai/Solo)

Job Description:

Rose Garden was always known as a place filled with magic. Actually, that was the entire thing of the place: Rose Garden has magic. Lots of it. So much that it's overflowing and the people who live their use it for every single thing they can think of simply because they have to do something with it. Food, buildings, the people themselves...if it's in Rose Garden, it has magic. It didn't even contain any real Guild and it still was the town containing the most raw magic. Of course that also meant that it was kind of difficult to truly impress the people of Rose Garden. After all, they're so used to magic that you could summon some beast right in front of them and they probably wouldn't blink.

On one hand, that meant that impressing them enough that they would actually pay attention to what you had to say was difficult. On the other hand, if somebody managed to impress the people of Rose Garden it meant they were impressive enough that they deserved all the respect and attention that they received as a reward. Which was the exact reason why Akeya was now standing atop one of the taller buildings at the edge of the main square of the town, looking down at the people walking around in the square. So far they hadn't noticed her yet, although if everything went well that would change very soon.

Akeya wasn't too sure why she had taken this job. She didn't really like being the centre of attention. She preferred staying in the shadows and just getting the job done, whatever the job was. But this time the job was in itself attracting attention, and the more attention the better it was. Of course even though she didn't like being the centre of attention she had to admit she wasn't too bad at it: half dragons are incredibly rare, so if she put some effort into it even these people, who walked hand in hand with magic, should feel compelled to at least be somewhat interested. However before she could say that her plan worked she would have to try it out. Time to get this show on the road.

Inhaling and concentration Akeya lifted both hands, palms down, focusing all her being on the shadows around her and, more importantly, the ones available in the plaza. After a couple of seconds all the shadows started to flow towards the half dragon, and it didn't take long before the humans started to pay attention. First it was one exclamation, then another, and soon more than half the people on the streets below were staring upwards at the winged person gathering all the shadows. Not feeling like disappointing them Akeya started to twist and shape the shadows in new forms, creating a giant serpent in the air, a small whirlwind of shadows, a dark phoenix... Around Akeya the shadows danced high up in the air, quickly causing the people from Rose Garden to become more interested. Even if they were used to magic, they still could appreciate it if it was used in an artistic manner.

Although Akeya wasn't done yet, not by a long shot. After having created plenty of shapes she gathered them all in a cloak around her, then suddenly jumped off of the roof, diving straight towards a less crowded area of the town square, the humans also quickly making way. Once she reached the ground Akeya appeared to explode in a burst of shadows, which then suddenly gathered again, forming a towering column which then became more defined, a set of wings, a large reptilian head, several sharp and wicked claws...after mere seconds the gathering of shadows which had jumped off of the roof had turned into a large dragon made out of the darkness itself, towering high above the humans and spreading its wings.

Well, she had their collective attention now. It was probably time to start wrapping this up and do what she came here to do. So far she had only impressed the people and attracted their interest. She would have to make sure that they remembered the name Blue Pegasus, and she already knew how. Hidden within the dark dragon of her own making (which actually was completely intangible, but nobody wanted to disturb the show) Akeya pulled out the bunch of pamphlets that she had been told to distribute. Jumping upwards until she was inside the head of the shadow dragon she made the dark illusion look like it was beginning to breathe flames, except instead of flames a stream of paper came out, which slowly floated down onto the humans below. Each pamphlet was an invitation to visit Blue Pegasus and its many powerful and mighty mages. After the dragon was done with its paper breath attack it dispersed, Akeya herself nowhere to be seen.
