Straining the fabric of Reality (Private, Indar)

Aaron stood on a terraced platform overlooking the ruins below. According to what he had read these terraces were used to farm on steep inclines, a rather effective technique considering the landscape. Aaron jumped down to the next level, and the next, and the next, and so on until he reached the ruins of the city. A large temple dominated the skyline, rising up from the center of the ruins. Even now the temple held an air of dark majesty to it, an air untainted by the ravages of time that had left the rest of the city a crumbling shadow of what it once was, but then again, the civilization that used to be here had been known to practice blood sacrifice, and blood magic weight powerfully on reality.

Aaron began to contemplate the things that had brought him here as he began to stroll through the ancient streets. Lately he had been having strange dreams, dreams of strange figures and stranger landscapes, and always he would wake up with a strong urge to find something, though he never knew what. All he did know was that it was tied into his magic, which only made him more motivated to figure out what was going on. He had come here hoping to find some trace of the ancient civilization that the grimoir he had learned from mentioned, and even though he knew that the chances of there being any traces were slim, he still felt that he had to check.

Aaron was brought out of his reverie by the sound of crumbling stone, not an uncommon sound in the ruined city, but nonetheless it put Aaron on edge.

Aaron still felt on edge, and he was certain now that someone or something was here, but before he acted rashly he wanted to make sure. Luna? Can you see what exactly is watching, if anything? Oh, something's watching, a young man, another mage to be precise. Feels like he outranks you in power to. Maybe I should be working with him hmm?
Right, and maybe I should just throw out all the fish at home? You wouldn't dare.
Aaron smiled as he heard the great cat's mental chuckle. I'll be down shortly, why don't you try and make contact, it might make things interesting, or entertaining.

Aaron sighed and shouted out into the ruins. I know you're there, you might as well show yourself. As Aaron spoke he removed Bane of Reality from the wrappings on his back and began to lean on it like it was a staff. It never hurt to be prepared after all. I'd prefer not to risk destroying the ruins if we met under poor circumstances.
