The Masked Mad Mystic, Kuro, sighed, as he waited for his partner. He was too impatient these days, perhaps he needed to learn more patience before he was ready to undertake team jobs. It seemed like it, since that last job with Nakiya and Za'acha. He was rather annoyed at Za'acha for stealing his kill, but even then, it was due to his own impatient nature, electrocuting an entire platoon of knights. To be fair, he dropped a building on them, and that usually signaled the end of a fight. He had to admire how stubborn they were, but that did not lessen his irritation about the boss not showing up until the last minute. The fact that Za'acha had stolen his kill afterwards was even worse. Then, to top it off, Nakiya decided it would be a good idea to call his call of her bluff which wasnt a bluff. It basically ended up with him having a very broken arm for the time, and having it painfully played with by Nakiya. He liked her and all, but he really should have kicked her ass for that.
In any case, his mind wandered towards the current situation. Having returned to the guild from that job, Kuro had sought another, specifically one of a higher rank. Thankfully, his arm had healed, though he forgot how. Anyway, he was fully powered now, so he had little to worry about from most mages. Most being anyone below B rank. It was stupid how much rank implied, but it helped determine whether or not someone would be a threat to him. At the very least, he had his swords, and physical abilities, which were at least a match for even a B rank mage. Anyway, after he had healed, he wanted another job, and one in particular someone was already going on, Mikomi Ariel, the person from that weird incident which was still fresh in his mind. Said incident was where he was a she and she was a he. Strange, but amusing. Since she was going on the job, Kuro decided to join her, because of the idiotic rules about ranking and whatnot. At the very least, he could deal with doing jobs above his own rank. The stupid part was how he needed someone else with him. You'd think a dark guild wouldnt have such silly rules, but whatever.
So there he stood, on the edge of the city, where he expected to meet her. He could wait patiently for her, and he would. He needed to practice his patience anyway. His classic mask and cloak were covering his body, which revealed his identity to those who he had worked with in the past. Considering he never left any witnesses aside from those who were on a job with him, it was unlikely anyone would notice him, especially considering he was not bothering anyone. If he had been stalking someone in the street, he would be under heavy watch, but since he was just leaning on a building and waiting for someone with his arms crossed, everyone assumed he was just an impatient performer of some kind. It would not be the first time...
