The dragon saw Kaido and almost laughed. The sword was impressive for a human, but a dragons hide was tougher than any sort of steel, and the dragon intended to prove that. In a moment of absolute ego, the dragon lowered its head, meeting the sword midswing with a head butt. The dragon came to an absolute stop, and the streets were filled with the sound of a gong, as the massive sword smashed into the beasts head. The dragon took a few steps back, blood leaking from a bloody welt on the top of its head, as it reared back to look at Kaido with absolute shock. That sword had to be incredibly heavy, and the weilder stronger than any man the beast had faced before to penetrate his skin like that. The dragon had felt no magic, at least not active, about the sword. And it had broken skin, bit in, and the dragon was fairly certain, by the amount of pain it was feeling, cracked bone. What a sword!
Kaido for his part was also stunned. Instinct had swung that sword like he had, in a wide, side ways arc, putting all of its weight into a single swing, letting it build its own momentum. And to his complete surprise, it had worked. Red stained the swords pristine edge, the dragon had been forced to a total stop, and the sound of a rung bell still echoed. The two combatants stared at each other, one with new found respect and caution, and the other with building confidence, as they squared up, the dragon starting to slowly circle Kaido. His weakness was his speed, or lack there of. The dragon had to finish this one fast, before he could bring that heavy sword, and ungodly strength to bare again......
