Personality: Going into the mind of Tatsumi is a very very complex place to be, due to his very differentiating personality.He is, as some would blatantly put it, two-faced depending on the situation you put him in. With that said, let us dive into his most prominent, and the happier of the two, side. And before we go any further, he is by no means a person of Dual-Personalities, just one that varies a lot.
Tatsumi on the outside, is a 'caring' and 'outgoing' young lad who tries to be a outstanding mage of Fiore, starting from where he is. He tends to be very talkative to people to possibly get new ideas or to get new knowledge about something he didn't already know about. He also likes to get on people's good side whenever possible. While in combat, he is very much a straight forward person, focusing mostly on brute strength and fighting spirit to get him through the fight. He tends to keep his comrades at the front of his mind. If Tatsumi were to lead in this state of mind, he would rather "die first and protect the others" then to see them die, and while on the other end would follow without much resistance if the leader was competent.. With all this said, this is very much the normal for him when it comes to interactions.
The other side of Tatsumi is something people rarely see of him, and is even rare to be seen in general. This side only comes out in very uncommon situations including: He is actual able to dominate and completely over-power his opponent, he is protecting someone so close to him that he cannot restrain himself, or if he is backed so far into a corner himself that he just losses all care to keep himself check. With the conditions, and I say conditions due to the circumstances that he would show his 'true' self is rare like I said, he is seemed to be somewhat sadistic in nature and completely brutal and unrelenting, both verbally and physically. In combat, he would much rather watch his opponent suffer and agonize than finish the fight, planning ways of torturing his enemy through and through. When discussing his ways when with other people truly depends upon his relationship with them. When they are just acquaintances or co-workers, he would very well let them die and live himself than lift a pinkie to save them. Rarely would he ever work with people in this situation, leaving very little reason to lead or follow. On the other hand, if he finds them to be precious, he will gladly give his life for them. He gives this reaction due to the fact they would have accepted him for who he was and accepted them for whoever they may be. He would follow them to the depths  of hell and back, and would keep them out of danger as much as possible in fear of them dying.
Likes:

• Knowledge: He likes to learn about things and other people. Knowledge is power after all.
  

• Interactions:He is very much a people person, even despite some things. He allows for him to learn ways and customs and how people act. Not to mention it just helps cures some of his boredom.
  

• Cute things: Ok, if there was one redeeming factor to Tatsumi and any real happiness, its his attraction to anything Kawaii. He has a strange place in his heart for the cute, adorable, and cuddly.
  

Dislikes:

• Weakness: He dislikes the weakness and people, and in himself. He saddens him at points and when dealing with his own weakness, drives his motivation.
  

• Fish: He doesn't like fish in general, whether it be as food, a picture, or even the real thing. He just has a distaste for them.
  

• Bitter Taste: He finds things with a bitter after taste less than pleasing, avoiding them as much as possible. He doesn't know why he dislikes the after taste, just that he doesn't.
  

Motivations:

• To Be Stronger: Though this is something that most people wish to be, he wishes to grow stronger to not only to please his urges, but to protect those he will find precious.
  

• To Be Friends: With being human, he longs for human friendship and to find someone to protect.
  

• To Be Alive: To make his other wishes to come to life, he himself has a very strong will to live. This sometimes ends up good or bad for him.
  

Fears:

• Death of a Friend: This is something that is fundamentally fearful to him, due to the extensive length of understanding required between him and a person to actual reach this point. For him to lose someone this close to him would break him mentally, most likely driving him insane.

• Being forever weak: This fear derives from his want to "dominate" all those he doesn't see as a close friend. Though he understand as of now he is growing, not showing progress and never growing scares him.
  

• Forever Lonely: Even with his sadistic side, he still longs for some sort of friendship, even if it may be one person. He fears that he may never find someone and that he will die alone at times.
