Tadashi is a kind, loyal and (a bit too) honest person. He usually is a friendly person; caring for others and helping them where he can. He really enjoys doing this because it gives him a feeling of fulfillment, to be able to bring joy and smiles to people… an experience he didn’t have when he was a child. This is his primary drive to be a kind hearted and good willed person.
Loyalty is a trait that Tadashi really respects. He had never had friends as a child (nor could he have) and when he first formed a bond of friendship, he didn’t want it to disappear. To this day he remembers and knows the joy of having companions and tries to give the very same joy to others by becoming and staying their friend. He sticks to them no matter what and he will help them without question. If his friends stray down the wrong path he will try to put them back on the right one. If his friend is sad, he will go through any length to cheer them up (from inspirational speeches to making himself look like a complete fool). A loving and caring person is who he is.
Honesty is also a very distinctive trait. He never tells a lie unless it is absolutely necessary or if it is for the better. He always speaks his mind and this has caused many issues with others. This is because he always acts according to one of his life philosophies: “We are all human here. We are all equal. We only differ in personality and looks. That is the ONLY difference. Thus I treat all accordingly – as an equal! If someone has my respect it is earned!” So he basically treats everyone the same (he treats a beggar with the same graciousness as he would treat a governor and he would treat a governor with the same graciousness as he treats his friend… which actually isn’t really much graciousness, but more of a friendly and a bit rude attitude). His other life philosophy shows why he is always friendly and calm no matter what happens: “What happened has happened. There is no sense in dwelling in the past, nor is there point in worrying about the future. What counts is the present and nothing else. If something was done to you then it has been done. All you can do is make the present the best time you have. So be happy and not sad. Cry for a while and smile the next moment!!! Get angry shortly and laugh afterwards!!! That is what it means to live life happily!!!” The only time he actually gets mad is if you destroy his models (which he loves to make), if you annoy him too much or ruin his favorite meals (Ramen & Pizza); he gets pretty aggressive when that happens…
These life philosophies make him seem like a really intellectual person right? Wrong! Believe it or not, all that came from personal experience. When it comes to intellect Tadashi is more of a gut-feeling type of guy (the reason why he can be found doing things impulsively without any apparent reason); no think – just do.
Otherwise he is a character that is great with kids and unlucky with women. His character is so friendly that it always gets him friend-zoned. He can often be found entertaining children at schools and orphanages.
He doesn’t really like being the center of all attention, but doesn’t mind it that much; just prefers to do things with others with their consent. You can’t really say that he is the leader type either but he does have his moments on occasion.
Likes:
First off he likes Ramen and Pizza. He just loves the flavor and calories. Tadashi as contemplated opening up a pizza and ramen restaurant, but never had the finances to do so. Second to those come children. He is great with them enjoys spending time with them; he has a sort of fatherly instinct. And then he also likes spending time with friends goofing off or just being happy, doing quests, sparing etc. Other things he likes include fishing, relaxing (preferably near water – feels more tranquil there), listening to music and making things using his magic.
Dislikes:
The thing that Tadashi hates most is douches. He can’t stand them and how they think they are better than everyone (completely against his way of thinking). There is a fine line between rivalry and sense of competition and being a douche. Next is true evil. Well, who LIKES evil?! To Tadashi evil is that which takes away happiness. Since he wants to protect the happiness of the world, he sees at as the ULTIMATE EVIL to take away happiness. Otherwise he just dislikes vegetables. It’s not the taste that’s bothering but more the texture. This is why he is kind of grossed out by vegetarians/vegans who only eat that sort of thing.
Motivations:
He has three motivations:
First is his life philosophy (live life in the present and make the most of it).
Second is his wish to protect his friends. He holds them very dear, like family (since he didn’t have one) and will never abandon them.
Third is protecting the happiness of others. He has lived his entire childhood not knowing what having friends and being happy meant. When he finally discovered it he saw that it was something worth protecting. Anyone who even tries to take away happiness is at the top of Tadashi’s hit-list.
Fears:
Tadashi fears losing his friends, since they are the dearest things to him. Otherwise he is only afraid of spiders… He once had an apartment in a 6 story building on the third floor; there was a spider; three minutes later only two floors remained… that’s how he freaks out around spider. He just thinks those things to be creepy and eerie. Doesn’t mind scorpions though…

On occasion he is seen wearing black, fingerless leather gloves (But this is usually when he fights). He can always be seen with his puppet floating beside him. At first glance he seem like an average teen aged boy, which he is. But you wouldn’t know that he is was subject of some very nasty dark guild experiments (involuntary of course).
