Shield vs Storm[Nadarr's Exam]

Nightken informed Apollo to meet him in the middle of Thunder Island for his exam. The normal storm clouds over Thunder Island seemed to be giving off multiple lightning bolts of different colors and intensities. Waiting for Apollo to arrive Nightken took a short nap to pass the time, as usual the lightning didn't come within five feet of him before being launched off somewhere else even while asleep this was happening. To those that didn't know about his ability to redirect electric flows they'd believe that he had some kind of shield spell going while he took his nap.

Apollo sighed as he reached the Thunder Island. The island reputation didn't lie at all however he wasn't about to let that stop him. as he got off the boat he looked at the note his Guild Master gave him a proceeded to the meeting point. As lighting clashed around him he knew he would have to be careful here. As he got to his Guild master who was taking a nap hen he arrived just stared for a moment observing how none of the lighting could hit him. But alas figure he would pick here. With that he walked over. "Hey Nightken I'm here..." He said with a hint of shyness but still determined.

Nightken woke up when his guildmate came within five feet of him. Standing up he began to stretch with the lightning still not coming near him and Apollo who was standing nearby. "I'll be testing your endurance with this exam. I'm sure you noticed the different colored lightning throughout your walk here, well you'll be using those lightning bolts as your test." He said pulling out his pack of magic cigarettes. Lighting the cigarette he took a hit  then exhaled a small cloud of harmless vapor. He expected for this to be rather interesting on how things will turn out.

Apollo nodded walking away from his Guild master "This should be simple enough Just avoid the lighting...." Then he face palmed abit. "How the hell was he suppose to do this. Oh well o use fussing about it but he did have to think of a wise enough strategy to do this with. As he got further away from his guild master he thought about what to do if a strong bolt came around. Never the less he started preparing Firing some Energy Flares into the ground point blank to make a trench for him to crouch in figuring that would help the lighting strike him less and give him better chance. The objective as simple enough but dodging lighting was a feat so rather then dodge his best chance was to deflect it or simply make sure that he had a contestant shield up o he could stay safe.

'Monster Dice' :

As Apollo stood there he contemplated what to do looking up at the cloud counting the seconds to help Figure out when and how close the lighting was to him. As he cleared his mind his eyes shot open and he immediately threw up his energy dome to protect himself.  He could feel the lighting strike his shield as he held it together determined to make sure he passed this trial.  As he looked up at the lighting tiring to penetrate the shield he could tel that this was barley holding the lighting back from hitting him but non the less he sighed after a few seconds.  As the lighting dissipated He panted thinking how he barley deflected that strike.  He then looked over towards Nightken who was simply watching him he wondered what was going through his head but then shook his head knowing he would need to constraint to pass this trial.

'Monster Dice' :

Apollo began to Focus again and started too breath steadily. As the air thickened around him he could tell this next strike was going to be stronger then the last one. Thus he knew He had to use his Mirror wall. So with out breaking focus he got as low as he could I his trench to the point he was laying down. This was he could cast the Mirror Wall So it would cover him and not hit him. He wasn't sure if this plan would work but this was more than a test of endurance fro Apollo. No this was a test to see how fast he could make and form a plan to protect himself in a pinch, and as if practiced a bolt of lighting came from the sky. "Mirror Wall!" he called out as the shield began at the edge of the trench covering him.

All though a lighting bolt only lasts for seconds normally this felt like an eternity for Apollo. It felt as he was trapped inside a coffin that grave robbers were tiring to get into. But reality checked in as he could feel the lighting drilling through his shield trying to get to him on the other side. Then what seemed like an eternity ended and he stood up looking at the ground around him. The grass was pushed out word then he stared up at the sky. While he was able to block that on Apollos Mirror Wall was undoubtedly his best shield in his arsenal. This made him worry what would happen if even stronger lighting came to strike him. But he clenched his fist and took a deep breath. "I will pass..." He muttered to himself. "I owe it to her..." And with that he regained his focus and took a deep breath preparing himself.

'Monster Dice' :

Apollo could feel a weaker lighting bolt coming or at least weaker then the last one. "Ok I got this" He muttered. Though For a brief moment he lost focus and barley managed to make a Platform Shield above him. As he made a platform shield above his head just in time to protect himself. He could feel it strike the Shield and made him crouch abit as it hit him with such force.. He felt as if he was holding the world up on his shoulders and didn't know Lighting had this much force coming down. Though he didn't feel this with the energy shell since it spend the load evenly. This how ever as literally above Apollo so he was baring all the force. He would defiantly be lying if he said this was painless but was determined to hold strong none the less and pass his exam with flying colors. As the lighting dispersed he smiled abit as he fell back wards huffing abit "I did it Eliza...I did it"

As Apollo layed there he smiled Hoping he proved himself.  As much as he would like to think he did he still had a long way to go to becoming a Wizard Saint...But none the less it was a start. So with that  he stood up dusting himself off and straightening his tie.  Then He checked his pocket watch for the time and sighed as the glass cracked from  the force of the strike.  "Oh well..." he muttered quietly.  He then walked over to His Guild Master with a small, shy smile "So um How did I do...?" He asked nervously hoping he did well in his exams.  Time seemed to stop as he waited for His Guild Master to answer.  To much of Apollo's surprise he wasn't upset with the trial choice either.  It tested him in endurance of body and mind which he already felt stronger from.  But then looked him in the eyes knowing that no matter the outcome he did his best today.

Nightken watched as Apollo shielded against the few lightning bolts that went for him and was glad he didn't back down even after getting knocked down from the last lightning strike. "Not a bad job out there, just a suggestion if you want to deal with lightning for in the future try keeping yourself grounded this way even if your shield is broken you won't get hurt. All in all I'd like to say you pass so hows about we head home for now." He said to Apollo as they walked towards the docks.
